I purchased a People Search without realizing that they were signing me up for a membership of any kind. I was led to believe it was a one time purchase to search for a lost friend. They got my checking account number and private information from People Search.com and had been billing me for several months until I checked my bank balance to find out why I was always coming up short in my bank account.

My bank asked me to contact the company that made the draft and I was told by a rep from Privacy Matters told me how I signed up (Unbeknownst to me). I scoured my emails and couldn't find a confirmation of the sign up or any monthly emails from them regarding their services or what it was they were doing for me. To pay for one service and find out months later that you've been paying for something else from a separate company is just plan theft.

DON'T GIVE OUT YOUR INFO - You want privacy, keep it private... I learned the hard way...
