Ok eveyone like all of you I have already posted my complaint and was charged the SAME $78.93 you were WITHOUT authorization! So go to the BBB website I'm about to give and file your complaint. It does take about 20 minutes or so, but WILL make you feel SO much better. Just knowing they will be FLOODED with complaints from ALL of us has some saticfaction. You will need their phone number (866) 922-5522 handy when you make the BBB complaint. It will help the THOUSANDS of HARD working people like you and me they are scamming RIGHT NOW!

| What I did was went to the BBB for Texas...cause that's where I am. Then after putting in the phone number I have for them...866-922-5522, it automatically sent me to the link I posted. So maybe there are SO many, that there are several BBB locations joinging in the cause? I'm not sure just trying to help. |

| It may not be a SCAM but the marketing program they are using is unscrupulous. However I did find the secret to dealing with this company is to use the terms and conditions against them and hold them to the returns and refunds policy they have posted. I was able to get back $70 of the $79 I was charged. As for the Colgate products that were supposed to be included in the "free trial", they were never included. I was charged for a 30 day supply of product after the trial, was able to obtain my refund and was told to keep the product when it arrives, but I have yet to see that 30 day supply shipment to arrive in the mail. I don't know if it was just held up in transit or if it was ever mailed in the first place. |

I do hear what you are saying and I HAVE owned a company before. However my public relations was FAR better and if you work with people and apologize (even IF the customer is wrong) and deal with them in a respectful and courteous way... then they will respond also in that manner. Also...if SO many people are having the same issues with NOT seeing or understanding...I think as a business owner, I would have my advertisers do whatever they needed to to make it more clean and noticeable. Then the customers they got would be long term..not angry short term.
They have even changed their name to "Whitening Brites". I also had one of the reps. mistakenly say "we've had a LOT of you people calling and it IS in the term and conditions" . Well that to me say they KNOW there's a problem in communication somewhere that NEEDS fixing. They are preying on people being to "busy and trusting" to dig into the REAL deal. |

1. You are overlooking the tactic they use of a timer counting down to when the special offer of a free trial expires. The customer only has about 4 minutes to fill in all the forms and credit card info. Taking one's time a reading carefully the terms and conditions is something this company does not want the customer to do. So the customer just clicks the "I have read and agree to" box and places the order. Afterward the customer is made to feel like they just stepped into a bear trap with both legs (and their wallet).
2. I do agree there are other companies that use the free trial followed by a membership marketing and do it well. I just saw a commercial for Video Professor on the TV. He uses this. CD and DVD clubs use this. But they all take the time in their presentations and literature to explain it all to the customer up front. They don't hide it in the small print and then blame the customer when they complain.
3. I think what the people who have posted complaints about this company mostly feel is taken advantage of and then when they call for some answers they are treated to rude, inflexible, and sometimes untrained agents who are most likely under a lot of stress. And when they ask for a supervisor they get obvious lies. And then if they call back to speak to a different agent, they get a completely different story than they were told by the first agent. That makes the customer even more certain they have been scammed. If the customer service agent would be courteous, professional, and service oriented (better trained to deal with customers), there would not be so many complaints. Customer service is an art form and it takes raining and practice to develop those people skills. I know - I have worked in customer service for years. I have dealt with irate customers, on the phone and in person, and many times have ended the conversation with a happy customer. When it happens its great and when they ask if in the future they can deal specifically with you, its really great. I have also had the customer that no matter what you do there is no way to please them ever.
People just want to be treated like people and not like prey. That is the difference and the problem with this company. Anyone agree with that assessment? |

These companies prey on busy folks and little old ladies. These companies know what they are doing and bank on it. They know damm well that the ordinary public (me) don't always read all the fine print.
I finally got my due credit with hours of deliberation and threats.
This company should be shut down!!! |

| Charismatic, you should be ashamed speaking like that to anyone. You can say what you think and feel without giving the Obama "Stupid Americans" speach! Companies like them DO hope and pray we WON'T take the few minutes and read. They also are very good at what they do by putting you at ease with their AD. I too fell prey to their tactics. However, it won't happen to me again. I figure that I learned a very valuable lesson. My husband doesn't "hold my hand" but did warn against Internet scams. I should have headed his warning! I feel foolish and ashamed that I didn't research them first. If I had...I wouldn't even be reading this now, cause I would have known better than to let it go any further. |

I understand your frustration with this sort of company because I've let myself get burned purchasing things online with those 2 or 3 day free or $1 or $2 trial for "yadad product:' and got whack for that followup charge. Though I believe these trials are designed to for people like me who simply didnt take the time to write everydown.
But like Charismatif said I pay close attention to the agreement. But hey, just letting you know it happens to all of us. I am the king of all sorts of fees due to my neglect.
It looks like your are taking the appropiate measures to resolve this. But Charismatic is only trying to help using the devils advocate method which is very effective. I would just whatever you can from her suggestions and so on.
In the scheme of things, Charismatic was very helpful ESPECIALLY NOT SUGARCOATING. I put that in caps because I've seen her and other take alot of verbal abuse and don't derserve it.
The Obama ordeal or gloobal worming, o;r whatever is immaterial. The ball is in your court. What are you going to do about at this point.

Remember what we told you about snitching and it's great that you frown apon ok. Because there are people that run to the addy's solely to get someone they dislike IP banned. Those kind of people will laugh at you when it happens.

Well George, like you...it's taught me a LOT! I think feeling foolish about not realizing the consequences of our impulse buying leaves you feeling angry. Whether it's correct or not...that's how I feel. Yes, I also agree that what Charismatic is saying is the truth, but will be lost when someone is being spoken to in a harsh manner. I think that saying it in a nicer way would be more fruitful. When you have them on the defensive...the meaning is lost. We already feel bad enough without the nasty remarks.
As for the politics statement...my bad. I just am SICK of hearing how bad Americans are! I did not vote for him. If you vote...you have a right to complain. This is not the place though. That's all I will say on that.
I just wish there was a way to get future targets to READ the small stuff without learning the hard way. Although, this is exactly why I'm wiser today on the subject. |

READ...according to you... I (an American) am to STUPID to read! I can see that you are not a person who ever admits you are wrong. I admitted my wrongs, and have moved on. Maybe you are defensive because you work for them? I don't really care. I tried to get you to see that we (the not as smart as you people) feel bad enough and have paid dearly for our mistake. I think that pretty much everyone here who has made this mistake...won't do it again. I do not understand why you must be so hateful.
My guess is that YOU have done this too at some point and are hiding behind your mouth. I think it's sad that you can't be a more pleasant person.
If you HAVE been in our shoes...then you have no room to talk. If you haven't...then you have no understanding and I'm waisting my time trying to be nice. Go be bitter somewhere else. |

I know you are having a bit tough time at the moment and I just want ot let you know I am not here to flame. Just take some deep breaths very slowly or maybe somewhat slowly, and then close your eyes and think happy thoughts and how you are going to evenually succeed in getting full credit from that not so kosher company.
sometimes disagreements occurs charlene its just human nature except for me of course, rofl just joking. are you starting to smile as you read this i hope, well just remember we are The consumers and we will bond together as one big unit and let corporate america know that we are well still in the dark ages, but the point is charlene. you are a warrior in the midst of not only for yourself but those scared individual who are afriad of the Bigbusiness.

Well there ya have it...having a heart and caring...is a handicap! I'm proud to be an American. I'm proud to be a nice person who happens to care for my fellow man. I even am proud that I'm not like you. You can use those BIG foul words all you want to. I don't need your advise, your opinion OR anything else you may have to offer. I have a great life, husband, kids and my life is full & happy. I have made a few foolish mistakes. One of which was speaking to you. I KNOW that you can't rationalize with an irrational person...see there I go making ANOTHER mistake.

Just thought I would check on your status. It looks as though you are making a little progress though a bit high strung. Its good that you ended the post wishing another person a greatday because I believe that there was some denial., sure you dont need advice, but certainly alot others insights were certainly appreciated by y ou. But when your ready to admit that it is ok to ask for help you feel more humility.

| Well you AND your buddy "the perfect one" both have a WONDERFUL evening. No denial here, just tired of people like her thinking they are SO much better than the rest. I guess you want that title now huh? You guys will have to duke it out. I want no part in it. I actually have a life and was only in here to help others find a way to the light at the end of a LONG dark tunnel. Although I'm not yet there, I do think that I've come to terms with it in MY way. Sorry it's not the way you guys would like me to do it. I think this has gotten WAY outta control and it's not my cup of tea. Although I don't have "rose colored glasses" on anymore, I still do not feel comfortable with hostility either. |

I would hope that you realize that internet transactions are legal and binding and failure of the consumer to read and follow thru will result in charges you are unfamiliar with.

Come on people, I thought American's were more intelligent than this.
