Santander Consumer USA false deductions

They have take 12 payments of $35.00 for insufficient funds 2 days after I made a deposit and already had money in there, I also had a 2 nd checking acct for any bounced checks which they said wasn't available? At any rate, I called and talked to a diane on the phone, who was the most pomp us person I have ever had the unfortunate conversation with her. She had no sympathy or compassion for what her business did to us. And also lied about my deposit date. When I was looking right at my deposit slip. And also told me those were not available, when I know the checks went through the same day they were deposited. Figure that out taking 12 payments from me in one day alone. I have other complaints as well, but I would be writing for hours. After I cancel my account on monday and talk to the reps which diane said "will not help me, because it's her office they are going to be calling, after I told her I was closing my account (which she couldn't have cared less, she offered to take 1 $35. Payment off my account. Why who know's but of course I took it, it's my money not there's. So now I have to spend more money I don't have to get a lawyer. I advise everyone on this site to get yourself a lawyer and let's all go after them, they are the worst bank I have ever don business with, and I don't believe they should be allowed to have anything to do with a banking business and their customer service is the worst I have ever encountered.

Santander Consumer USA 2006 toyota tacoma

Loan originated 6/27/2008 on my 2006 toyota tacoma. First payment 8/1/2008 with a term of 72 payments of $651.15. Original maturity date was 8/15/2014, but with a few extensions, it was moving to 3/15/2015. However, they're saying I still owe over $10, 000! These people are running a scam & need to be stopped.
How is it that there are so many complaints on this site & many others including the bbb of dallas & nothing is being done!

Santander Consumer USA financing scam

In july I will have had my car for two years so I went into dealership to trade my care in and they told me I had 11, 000 in negative equity. I have never allowed my paymet to be 30 days late the most I have ever been late was 15 days my principal bal is still at over 17, 000 dollers. The saleman at the dealership did not understand and neither did I so we called santander usa and was told if the payment is not made on due date then the entire payment goes to intrest. My principal has not moved in two years how can a person ever get out of a loan like that? The car was only around 17, 000 dollers I have not made an progress on this car. I don't see how this can be legal.

Santander Consumer USA unfair high interest rates on auto loan

I was given a personal auto loan from santander consumer. The principle amount was $14, 568.00. My monthly payments are $405.29 I have made approximately 31 payments for $12, 563.99. This does not include all the maintenance repair work that I had to get done that cost thousands more dollars as I had to replace the transmission and radiator. The balance amount is still $13, 596.13 meaning I have been paying on nothing but interest for the past 3 years. The vehicle's blue book value is now around $5, 600.00. I am so upside down on my principle balance that I cannot even trade the vehicle off. I was late with a few payments but this very high interest rate is still too unfair to the consumer. I'm stuck as I have poor credit and need this vehicle for work purposes. I feel like there is no way out of this endless auto loan.

Santander starts calling for payment the next day after it is due. They call 4 to 5 times a day on both home and cell phone numbers which then makes it 8 to 10 times a day. I am slow in paying due to the way that I am paid but they always get paid.

Santander Consumer USA over charging auto loan

I have read so many complaints against santander consumer usa, but I didn't any successful resolutions. I want answers, the title of our vehicle and a refund of all monies we are continuing to pay past loan maturity.. We purchased an automobile $23, 000.00. We entered and signed a contract, financed by hsbc. It was for 72 month $563.62.. Our loan some how ended up santander consumer usa. The loan and our payoff has increased instead of decreasing.
We have paid $565.00 for 72 months and according to santander consumer usa, we have a balance of approx. $5, 580.00. This is suppose to be late fees. Our loan is current no past late fees. Now that our loan have reached maturity santander consumer wants to refinance the $5, 580. 00. The auto was reposed due to santander consumer usa mistake. The car was returned and the fees were to be paid by santander consumer usa. Listen we are seniors, disabled and can't afford this extra $5, 580.00. We have already paid $40, 680.00. Stop this company and its practices. Where do you file a lawsuit to stop this practice?

My sister is having the same issues! The loan just NEVER seems to go down despite payments made. She has a 2007 vehicle that she's been paying on for 7 years, with repeated threats of repossession and they are telling her she still owes over $2, 000.00! Have you found any resolution? A class action suit for unfair fees?

Santander Consumer USA late charges and miss placing funds

We got a loan through santander consumer usa in 2004 our mature date was july 2014. We paid the loan principal off june 6, 2014. They didn't even credit our account until after 12 phone calls an 35 days later. Now they are saying we owe them another 768.68 an has marked our credit with a 90 day late. We never received a letter or email about an other money being owed. When we called them they said we didn't make a payment since may 2014. The refuse to close the loan out until we pay them their money that we really don't owe. I would never tell anyone to use them to finance anything this company is a big rip off an I believe the give false information and do illegal practice for late fees, and miss place money that is paid on the loan.

Update; we paid off the loan in the amount they said was the payoff on 8/26/14 the very next day they ran our bank card for another payment. When I called them they said they would refund the difference 2 months later that would be in October. I am waiting for them to claim we owe more money before they release the lien on the car...this company needs to be put out of business!

Santander Consumer USA took my money

This company took 2 payments out of my account in one month. Admitted that it was their mistake. One of those payments was money to buy myself and my children food. Now I can not buy food for my family. They said maybe it will be credited back to my account within a week. Maybe doesn't put food on my table. I want my money back. Yes! My money! (4 days so far without being able to buy groceries) (now they say probably at least 3 more days - maybe more)

Santander Consumer USA overcharging, ripping people off, wire fraud

Is santander ripping you off? Have you paid you loan off and made payments on time? Has santander debited you checking or savings account without your approval? Then pay attention! You need to file a claim with your state attorney generals office. I am betting that they receive numerous complaints about this company. My wife and I were financed through citi financial and our loan was sold off to santander (scammers) consumer usa. This is when everything went sideways and backwards. We made payments to them via check and within a few months they tried to debit our account for 2-3 payments that were already paid. We had to close our checking account. They did the same to our savings account too. We then just made payments to them for the last 34 payments via western union. I kept every payment receipt via wu and bank statement that show the illegal ach attempts. We finished paying our loan off back in december but my wife made 3 extra payments before I told her to stop.
When talking to scusa their people would state it is a simple interest loan and that we were late paying 59 months out of 72 payments. I had proof this was a lie. I told my wife that she needed to get an attorney but before she get one that she needed to contact the state attorney general's office. She took the time to sit down and explain to the sag what we have gone through with scusa and their scare tactics and illegal wire fraud attempts. We recieved a letter from the wa state attorney generals office just 7 days ago and this is what it said in short. Scusa refuted that any of our statements were true but they were going to zero out our account and the matter would be considered settled! So in short they stated they did nothing wrong but hey we will close they account! Once a scam always a scam.. Just caught with their pants down!

Santander Consumer USA payoff on loan acquired by santander

I have a car loan thru santander, they purchased my loan from citiauto financial. My loan started with citi auto, I refinanced to wells fargo, then back to citiauto financial. They have no contract agreements nor and loan doc so they say, only a conversion letter. They refuse to mail to me. I have a 2005 kia sorento ex, purchased in oct. 2004. They say I only owed two payments back in jan. 2014 to fulfill my obligation. I have a canceled check with memo stating final payment per conversation 2014. The 20th of june they repoed my vehicle without any warning or letter or phone call. I have most of all the contracts, except for the refi in 2007. Citi auto shreds alol docs after 7 years. When I filed my medical bankruptcy in 2009, I tried to reaffirm through the court, I have a letter rejecting that due to they (citi auto financial) couldn't produce the original contract. After a year or so of payments approved by citifinancial they sold the loan to santander. I am payning fees, added interest and they say I still owe them money. I am never put through to an actual head manager who can email me docs of my amortization of inyerest or principle. I know this company is foreign owned and does not car about the legalities of us law or the consumer. Even if I pay them off I am afraid they will come up with more money and no title or lein release. Please please help. Janice brashier - hermes mesa az I can fax all docs if needed

Santander Consumer USA fraudulent collection practices

I applied for a job at santander today. This is what I wrote on my resume. What do you think? Wish me luck!

I used fdcpa tactics and gained trust and showed empathy to obtain money from people on dead obsolete old debts. I am currently studying for my ged and I pay my trailer park rent with my current job and collecting bottles. My household is subsidized with food from welfare. It is hard to maintain my 500 lb body but I manage. I want this job because I know most debt collectors are uneducated, mentally challenged over weight losers who are miserable in life... And that's me! Also I am a jacka*s which is another prerequisite. Please hire me, I am a low down dirty shame pile of [censored] and perfect for your company.

Santander Consumer USA imo a lousy business

Since santander bank took over sovereign bank i've had more issues than I care to remember.

From being charged for early redemption fees that the contract I had never disclosed, that after complaining several times to get fixed, to fees for using a saving account that was opened at their suggestion, plus having them take over 2 months to get me a debit card due to their inability to enter my correct address, plus issues I don't even have time to mention i've now had enough of them.

I gave them many chances. If they they're too big, well then I guess it time this little guy moves on to a bank where I know i'll get good service.

Santander Consumer USA false pretenses

I have a loan with santander consumer usa. I was suppose to be given a payment reduction for my truck. I have contacted them numerous times about my approval. I was told I was approved and they would email me the paperwork to be signed. I would look everyday in my spam and email, nothing there. Have corrected them about my email address 6 times. They always say 3 to 5 business days. I have had to make partial payments the 2 months, I talk to representative and they say the rest will be on rear-age of loan. That was a lie. They are saying I am way over due and still charging me full payments. They say they record each phone call, well why is everything I am being told, is a lie. No one is communicating. I have tried numerous times to resolve these issues and no one seems to care. And I am noticing that my amount for payoff has hardly budged. You think a company would try to work with their customers in hard times. They do not follow through with their word. This is poor company and is scamming lots of people. Shouldn't the government step in against companies like this when there are lots of law suits against this company so others don;t go through the hassle like me.

Sorry to say, but it will only get worse. Try not to put the payments on the back of the loan. My dad did this 4 times @ $500 for each payment with Santander. The last payment is suppose to be in August 2014 which should have been $2, 000 +interest of course. We have just received notice that the amount due is $6, 000 and they want it in full. We have paid well over $30, 000 for a 2004 car that originally cost $17, 000 through another bank that transferred the account to Santander. This is a car, not a house. They are CROOKS!

Santander Consumer USA scamming crooks

I have had my loan for a little over a year in which i've made sure to never be late for credit reporting purposes. I recently called to make a payment for december and I was told I would only owe $200 more but my account was fine. A few days later I receive a call stating that I now owe $600 because 1 payment was not received months back. I have all of my payments and recorded conversations that I am sure will prove I do not owe any money for missed months. I am a young woman trying to survive and I do not have money to give away to your company due to errors.
I requested almost a week ago for the account to be investigated and I haven't heard back from anyone. These scammers have no intention on trying to assist me in resolving this matter so I will be doing various internet reviews in addition to reporting you to the federal trade commission. I would steer clear in dealing with santander consumer usa they are a complete rip-off.

Santander Consumer USA extra add on fees

I have had my loan with santander a little over a year. When I got my first payment due I called in and tried t get my due date changed because I only get paid monthly and its at the end of each month. I wanted the 28th so that would give me some wiggle room to mail it off but instead was told the only date that I could get was the 25th. Now if my payment is due on the 25th and my check doesn't post until 30th of every month I am already 5 days late. The representative told me that he would document everything and I will be fine, well far from that. December 2013, january 2014 I received late fees for being past due date. I called in spoke to a rep that told me I couldn't change the date again, when I asked for a manager she stated same thing. The manager told me to me them half ways by paying on line which adds additional fees, or western union - additional fees. I am a single parent on a fixed income don't have extra money for these now fees that have suddenly appeared. I have been paying same way for over a year now, now i'm getting charged unexplained late fees.

My wife and I are going through the same thing with Santander. We bought a 2007 Chevy HHR for $17500 and we have paid $400 a month for 75 months now and Santander says that we owe them $9800 still. I am a little confused on how their math adds up. Our original loan was through Citi financial auto and they sold the loan to Santander somewhere along the line. Santander has sent ACH charges through our bank accounts in the past for double the payment amount. We would have to go to the bank and have them reverse charges. My goal tomorrow is to get an appointment with an attorney to get this matter handled!

Santander Consumer USA payoff fraud

I had a car loan with citifinancial from 2005 to 2008.. I spoke with citifinancial approxiamtely october of 2008 and inquired about my payoff which was approximately $4, 000. I was going through a divorce at the time and knew I wouldnt be able to afford the truck payment for very long. I indicated to citifinancial that I was paying the car off in february 2009 with my tax return. Citifinancial gave me the final payoff and made a notation. The next thing I know, I call to inquire about a payment and santander has my loan; when I indicate paying the truck off, the payoff amount has doubled or more! I inquired about payoff amount and they indicated deferred payments, interest, ect.. I ask them to send me a statement showing fees, ect.. But never received it.. Needless to say I couldnt continue paying approxiamtely 450 a month as a single parent with three kids.. I called and attempted to negotiate lower payments, a longer loan with lesser monthly payments, or anything to keep from losing my truck. I needed my job a a social worker and transportation for my children. I did not want to have to let a truck get repossesssed after 4 years of paying on it and almost finsihsed with the loan.. I stressed and struggled, continued to atempt to make payments, and then gave up.. The truck was repossessed and they sold it for approxiamately $3.000.00... Now they are saying the loan is even higher tha originally indicated..*I only owed $4, 000 they sold it for $3, 000 and they are claiming I still owe them thousands of dollars... Plus ruined my credit! I wasnt a perfect payer, struggled at times, but I offered and attemtpted to pay my debt... I think they would rather ruin somone's life with bad credit than to have accepted and agreeed to get more money from me on different terms.. I don't understand their way of thinking? Anyway, now they are threatening to garnish wages... I'm disgusted... Thanks citifinancial... I would have a paid off truck it it weren't for you selling to predators... Can someone help me...
