Samsung customer service

I recently purchased a samsung washing machine about 5 months ago. Not long after purhcase, the machine started to display intermitent errors during the washing cycle. It wasn't long before the machine was not functioning at all so I put in a request for a service call to samsung. A week later a technician came out and diagnosed the problem to be over user of washing detergent even though the error code suggested something different.
Anyway, we still had the same problem had 2 more visits from technicians over the course of 2 weeks and the problem was still not resolved. Finally the service centre reported to samsung that the problem could not be resolved and requested that a replacement machine be sent out.
Samsung are now saying that it will take a total of 10 working days for them to respond from there case manager.

This this normal? We have been without machine for over 3 weeks and now will have to wait at least 10 days just to receive a reponse..
The fact that this machine is only 5 months old, been stuffed around by technicians and constant delays is appauling.

Samsung warranty of plasma

We received our new pn59d8000 on march 29th. First off, we had a problem with the bluetooth components on the tv and had it repaired by samsung technicians on 4/11. The tv seemed fine after that and functioned fully for almost exactly one week. On the morning of 4/18 we watched tv normally without incident. Then I returned home after errands (Approximately 2 hours later) and the tv would not turn on. Upon close inspection I noticed a crack in the screen, under the glass. I called samsung tech support who implied it was physical damage and it would not be covered under warranty. This is unacceptable. I can assure you we caused no physical harm to the tv as indicated by the fact no one was home and that the damage is beneath the surface glass, which is free of damage. All instructions and procedures were followed while handling this tv. Not only can I assure you that we didn't do anything to cause this damage - I believe it is physically impossible to crack the internal glass without any external damage at all. We escalated the complaint through all the channels at samsung and were denied every step of the way. Samsung saw pictures that we provided, but refused to have a technician come out and inspect the television to verify everything. We have since investigated this problem and have found multiple reports of identical problems found online in various places. Samsung refuses to acknowledge the defect and is in violation of the magnuson-moss warranty act.

Samsung screen fault

I brought the galaxy S 4 days ago, and was going great untill yesterday.
Middle of a text msg and it froze, and within minutes the screen was then covered in greenish lines, and didnt stop.. Woudnt switch off, or reset. And was unable to use completely.
I took this phone back, and argued my point across with sales reps, even though they could see it was clearly a faulty phone.

I am now phoneless. After driving in and out of the city, spending time, and money on this product.
Never been sooo dissapointed!

And to add, , that the reason I tried the galaxy S was because my IPHONE (3gs) was playing up, was unable to call, and text towards the start of this month. Not all NEW technolagy is good !

Live wallpapers from 3rd party developers was my cause. I replaced my handset thru samsung as we both thought phone was fault, but as soon as I installed wall paper, screen and phone froze. Uninstalled and phone is ok.

Samsung excessive pricing and false claims

The samsung mobile is not yet launched. It is expected to be launched in a few days.
Samsung is marketing it through lets buy.com at a price of rs.32830/-, and no where its launch price is available.
Only available estimated launch price is about rs.32000 / - being given by different sources.

But m/s. I bazaar are offering it on their site (http://www.Ibazaarindia.com/product. Php?Pid=2509&cid=21) at a priceof

Which gives a hint of mrp 54900 / - and being offered by m/s I bazaar at rs.47900/-

How much over pricing they want to do ?
Do they think that the customer is an idiot. ?

In my above email I made a mistake, the phone price reduced to Rs.30999/- not 31999/-
where as they are offering it at Rs31500/-with no freebees.
Further I got it on COD (Cash on Delivery), so I did not have to worry about my money.

As can be seen from my comments earlier, I have purchased, one Samsung Galaxy SII for Rs.32830, which further reduced the price to 31999/- from Letsbuy.com. Here I saw the printed price (MRP) as 32830/-, but I bazaar is writing the MRP as Rs.39990/- with selling price as 31500/- and a saving of Rs.8490/- as of today the 15th. July. this is on print for a very long time as can be verified from their email to me as given above.
This proves their lie. Compare their declared MRP and the MRP I found onthe Box of the Mobile I received.
I have not bought the item from m/s I Bazaar, but their sale tactics are warning me, and I would like to make the other customers beware of such shops.
I received certain freebees with my mobile, which are nowhere in I bazaar sale.
Further I got a refund coupon of Rs.2000/- from M/s Letsbuy.com, because of fall in price.
So the price I paid for my Mobile was Rs.30830/-

(Galaxy S) which is available in the market for less than 29000/-.
The model I am talking about is Galaxy S2.so please dont fool the customer.
The customer knows the best.

Hi,

If any of us have order value greater than 5000 who is still waiting for ages to get their orders to be shipped or refund use the below options.

1. Talk to the payment gateways of those companies telling that its a huge risk to support these kind of fraudulent companies. Show them evidences of customers who are being cheated. If these gateways speak the online companies will listen or have to listen and be nice or else these gateways will stop providing services its as good as running out of business.

2. Call your credit card company and ask them to “Charge Back” if they don’t agree ask them to raise “dispute” they are obliged to do this. If not tell them nicely that you will speak to RBI as there is a clause which states if the “goods or services ordered via credit card are not provided as described” the customer has full rights to get the money back and the credit card company has to help them.

I had placed an order on ibazaar.Com for a mobile phone (nokia c7) on 11th of july 2012, and have made an online payment using CC, tran ID:[protected] amt: 16, 949 merchant name : cellnext,

every since the transaction I've tried calling ibazaar on their number [protected] this number is available on the website, the next day I received a email stating an order # 6338 & a 24/7 helpline # +91-[protected] which doesnt work,

I kept calling on the ibazaar website # until thursday evening, finally on friday after multiple attempts a lady answered she was so unwilling to help,

she just took the order # and said she would need an hour to find the order detailes, as expected she never call back. After 100th attemps later the lady answerd and says she can povided the order details only on monday as her manager is not available and that they don't work on sat and sun.

I was left with no option then waiting until monday. So finally on monday.. I again kept calling them on the 25th attempt the lady answered, she asks me for the order # and say's she would need and hour to call back when I refused to wait, the lady just hung's the call on me. I once again patiently waited for 1hr, hr, nobody called me.

Nobody called or answered my call on tuesday, wednesday on thursday (19th july) the ibazaar answered my call she says that the phone is not available it would take 10to 15 working days.

Before ordering the phone I checked the t&C of the product, they had clearly mentioned that the website will only display product available or in stock with ibazaar...

so I asked ibazaar or the refund of the amount of 16, 949, the lady said she would refund the amount within 3 to 4 working days,

the next day friday (20th july) I called back just to confirm as to how would I receive the refund? to my shock again she didn't have any information that was the time she just took my name and said she will be issuing a cheque of hdfc bank..

again nobody answered my call until friday (27th july) she again said she needs 10min to check the detail and disconnected the call, however I called back after 10min the phone was switched off.. after an hr I called back the lady answers n said that the cheque would be dispatched on monday and by tue wed I might receive it. another week has past, now they aren't answering my call...
. pls help this is such a nightmare

It has been almost an year, but still they did not re-shipped my order not even refunding my money. Either they do not pick your phone or if they will then they ask to wait. There are lots of frauds and cheater in this online biz but seems they are the biggest one. I request to all who are plan to order on this website, please order from some other reliable source or from shop near by you. they will take your money and will not respond again. I have given all of my details, order no. and phone no., Mr amrohi, who is the responsible person but you know he is very busy and every time when you ask abt him they will tell you that he is out of station. could be planing for some other fraud biz.

Selling chinese products/Refund rejected/offer not fulfilled

from ibazaarindia.com and paid Rs 424 and Rs 474 respectivily for these 2 products. I have place order on Sun, 5 June 2011 and they told me that product will be delivery by thursday but after waiting till thursday i phoned them told me that product is in the way to delivery but in actual they had no product in their stock. so after waiting for 10 days when I phoned them they told me that tomm will dispatch my order so at last i got the packet they sent in about 15 days of placing my order. but i was surprise after seeing these products. they were just cheep chinese products which you can get in less than 50 rupee from CP or other street sellers. I phoned again them and sent the photographs of these product then they told me that these products were out of stock so they sent me these product, i asked why you did not inform me regarding same? then they had not answer of that. then I ask them to send me the right product or refund my money. they ask me to courier these product to their address. so i did same and now they either do not pick phone or every time they say that it is out of stock and will send you in 15 days and that doese not matter when you will call them, every time they will say another 15 days. They are not ready to refund my money too. I request you all to beware of these type of frauds. Ibazaar India is selling Samsung I9100 Galaxy S at Rs. 31500 which you are talking about. This is USP of ibazaarindia.com . Ibazaar selling at a lesser price than the retail market. Letsbuy.com is always way ahead expensive than Ibazaarindia.com.
Ibazaar price is always at a lesser price compared to homeshop18.com, indiatimes.com, naaptol.com, ebay.in.
The customer is a intelligent shopper and they compare product before buying. Mr Sharma my suggestion to you is to study properly and accurately before you write any comment to anybody.

Samsung ac life is 2 years as you will not get service after that

People beaware, you will not get timely services from samsung india as there is no one take care after sales service in this country. I have a window ac of 1.5 ton which i purchsed in 2009. Since last 6 months i am very much fed up with the performance of that ac and on calling customer care i am getting monotonous lines by the executive " sir your call will be attended within 24 hours and you will get a call by today evening before 8 pm" but i am surprised to beleive that for samsung, 24 hours means 3-4 days and still i am waiting the service man to take care my ac.

i have logged a service request on 20/5/2011 at 9.23 am but nobody turned up yet i.e. on 22nd may 2011 1 pm. wherein i had put in several reminders at the call center but no reverts except punch line from samsung" sir your call will be attended within 24 hours and you will get a call by today evening before 8 pm"

13/4 /10 i purchased window AC model No 18zkc 1 . 5 ton . and my experience is soo bad SAMSUNG . there silver condenser totaly dead. and now i called to your customer care number so they are behave very rude and asked 4000 Rs, for replace is . this is my first and final prodect wich i buyed from SAMSUNAG . i will naver buy any samsung prodect in futher and suggest to other do not buy any samsung prodect . is posible so please help on this case to replace my AC condenser . its is very thank full for me . i will wait for your costumer care reply

Samsung after sale service

i just bought a samsung top loading fully auto matic washing machine from Surindra Radios SCO 1125 Sector 22-B Chandigarh on 6 may 2011. The dealer has not arranged demo for the product despite my repeated calling .

and moreover after opening the pack i found that inlet pipe and outlet pipe and product manual are missing . And moreover now they are not even ready to pick my phone .I tried to lodge a compliant against dealer @ company s website and customer care phone numbers . Neither the daeler nor company(samsung india ) is ready to listen or help

Samsung no picture; poor customer service

The picture on my two year old plasma tv suddenly went black and will not return. A google search of this reveals that this problem is really common. I was very pleased with my first call to customer service (Though it took 45 minutes for me to get through). The representative told me that samsung would repair the tv for me if the problem was the same mechanical issues as the others and not due to physical damage or otherwise a result of mistreatment. I assured him the product was pristine and waited for the promised call from the local service tech. Upon speaking with the service tech, I was informed that the diagnostic would cost me $125. I stated that this was not explained to me and was told I needed to call samsung once more. When I did, I was told the company does not cover diagnostics and that samsung is not bound by the representations of their service reps. I asked to speak to a superior and was provided contact information for the office of the president. Surprisingly, I was contacted the day after my initial email to the president's office. Unsurprisingly, the president's office is just another call center. Shockingly, the person I spoke with, sean finnerty, very rudely told me samsung would not cover the diagnostic or the repair (Even if it's shown to not be my fault). I asked for contact information for the superior and was denied. I explained that I was not impressed with the company's consumer inquiry workflow and would like to write a letter in an attempt to affect change (Futile, I know). Sean told me the "goal of affecting change is not available to you. "

Not only did the company not acknowledge that my issue was common (One representative even told me that plasma televisions do not have capacitors, which mine definitely does) , they did so in the rudest way. Prior to this event I was an advocate of samsung. I own multiple samsung tvs and other products and have convinced many friends to purchase samsung tvs.In part, my recommendations were out of a random affinity for south korea and the wonderful people of that country and a misplaced confidence in any of its products. Following this surprisingly ugly ordeal, I will no longer purchase samsung and intend on screaming from the mountain tops my customer service horror story.

Samsung poor service

After six weeks my Galaxy Tablet stopped running apps, would not uninstall apps and would not reset to factory settings. After much time on the phone with Sprint tech support, the issue was unresolved and was transferred to Samsung service (in India). As Samsung considers the Tablet a computer rather that a phone, it could not be replaced and must be sent to the service center for repair. The entire process took only six days. However, it was returned in the exact same condition as it was when sent to Texas. After another lengthy phone call to Samsung, I was forced to request another RMA and shipped it back the same day as it was received. I was also promised by customer service in the US (after being transferred from India) that although shipping could not be expedited, the repair could be. The Samsung website provides service tracking by RMA # which is helpful. For this repair, I was not able to track the progress or even confirm the service center's receipt. One week later, I found that Samsung was in the process of changing their service software and a new RMA # had been assigned to my repair. In short, from April 5th through April 22nd, Samsung was unable to tell me what was happening with my repair nor could they tell me where the Tablet was. This is supposed to be a 5-7 day process that had stretched into a two and one-half weeks with no one able to tell me if the Tablet was even at the service facility. Finally, on April 23rd I received an e-mail stating that a UPS shipping label had been produced. After checking every day on the progress of delivery, the Tablet was finally shipped out on the 26th. The normal delivery time from the service center in Texas to my business in Oklahoma is one day. Why it took so long is beyond me other than placing responsibility on the service center for creating a label but not actually repairing it and shipping it out on the 26th. In total I have been without my Tablet for one month and am anxiously awaiting its return in hopes that it has indeed been repaired.

Our tablet has been send back to samsung repair 3 times..exchanged in store when it was only 20 days old.
This product has been nothing but a headache..on hold as we speak. I am demanding either a different model or my money back.
The ECR department has failed to call me back on the dates promised..Next step will be small claims.
Never will I go with Samsung..had big screen that was samsung..had to exchange it two times :(

I had purchased a mobile s8003 jet2 in 2010 june. Within2 months the touchpad stopped working. It was replaced after2 months of running aroubd. Now after 11 months the touhpad has stopped working again. Advice me.

Samsung no picture

I have no picture but I have sound on my TV. Purchased new in Jan. 2010. Called so called customer service and the told me they were shipping me the parts. What?. And the tech will be here in 10 days. What the hell is with this? Wouldn't it be easier to get the parts from samsung overnighted or at least 2nd day. And now wait 10 days for a service guy to come out and fix it. So much for paying the extra money for the extended service plan. Sears you lost a customer!

Samsung dryer samsung dryer dv448aep/xaa

About two month ago I had called samsung for a banging noise from the dryer. This dryer along with washer was bought early 2009 from bestbuy, we had paid well over $3000 for this pair.
After we had verified that the dryer leveled, I had been referred to a local service repair shop, i've been told to check with the service shop first, if their service is not fulfilling samsung can accommodate me.

After I called the service "virginia electronics msc" as I had been instructed, they asked me for the following:
1 - $95 to schedule an appointment +
2 - $95 for diagnostics +
3 - parts and labor

Common now, you are asking to pay over $400 of repair for a dryer that hasn't been used frequently, which is still top of the line from samsung and paid top dollar for it. To start, we take all our cloth in dry cleaner, so the dryer is really in a mint shape and is hardly used.

Only after a handful of spinning with this top of the line samsung equipment, that I had paid over $3000 from best buy, I had to pay this much money for service!. My $200 washer was running flawlessly over a decade, with no problem of what so ever

But now!. How much we really need to pay for service for top of the line appliances, that was bought after the store recommendation.. ?

I am very upset, very disappointed, and I am demanding a courtesy repair service from samsung, as this issue is for one, not fair for consumer who pay top dollar for top of the line appliances, two, happen too soon for this kind of products. Even after warranty expire.

So, can you, out of defending the reliability of your products, and preserving the high quality customer service, fix this issue for me.. ?

Only samsung, can answer this question, so, I will be waiting!

I fully agree! We have a front load washer and dryer and have already replaced the heating element in the dryer twice! They are only 3 years old! Never agaon!

I will never buy any product with Samsung on it. I was stung twice, but never again. Their products are junk and made to break. I have a washer and dryer just under three years old. I've now spent $546. to repair the washer...just recently almost $300. to replace the rusty top cover which was, by the way, designed to rust because of the way the soap dispenser is designed. The repairman explained this to me. My son's washer is also rusting in the same manner. I talked to a supervisor at Samsung and all he did was argue and say they use "rust proof paint." He couldn't answer when I asked if it was rust proof why it rusted. I wrote a letter and sent it by internet and registered mail. THEY NEVER REPLIED!
Now the heating element in the dryer is out. This, after the glass in the door exploded just a few months ago. The heating element was going out then. Why didn't they replace it. NEVER BUY SAMSUNG

We have replaced our heating element twice in the past 3 years. Tthe dryer is only three years old! I have never had such a cheaply made dryer in my life and we paid almost $1.000.00 for it from Best Buy! Both times the element coil was caked with lint. It is eventually going to cause a house fire!
This is a dangerous product and there should be a recall!

Both my daughter's family & my family purchased a front loading Samsung washer & dryer less than 4 years ago. My dryer has been repaired twice for the same problem - burned out heater from lint coming in contact w/it. Last week my daughter's dryer started smoking & the heating element in her dryer burnt out from lint coming in contact w/it. Both units are vented per Samsung instructions; we both have the correct hoses & clean them out; and we clean the lint filter each time. Please be aware of this & NEVER leave your dryer running unless you are nearby.

Samsung shipped toner performance

I bought a samsung ml 1665 printer one month ago, it says on the technical specs on their website that the starter cartridge will print 700 pages. I have only printed 418 pages and I am already out of toner. Its not like I have been printing pages upon pages of pictures, in fact 100 of those pages were simply printing envelope addresses. I contacted samsung customer service and everyone basically said they couldn't help me. They couldn't ship me another toner cartridge to cover me and they couldn't even offer me a discount on a new cartridge! So now one month later I have to go to the store and purchase another toner cartridge which costs more than the printer itself. And not only that, they have put a chip on the toner cartridge which prevents you being able to refill the cartridge at a refill store! So not only do they rip you off, they are causing huge amounts of waste.

Samsung defective mobile handset

I have purchased a samsung mobile handset no. Gt-e 2120 arbins vide bill no.7438, dated. 13.05.2010 from celnet telelinks, bhubaneswar.In the moth of july, 2010, it became completely dead and I have handed over it to the "smart service"at bhubaneswar on 03.08.2010. They have intimated me that, it can not be repaired and it wil be replaced by a new one. But, on 7.12.2010, they handedover the said mobile handset to me with some repair. Again, in the month of january, 2011, it became completely dead. It was handed over to the smart service vide job no.15310, dt. 11.02.2011. After one month they have reported me to take it, because it is repaired. But, I do not want to take it again because, its wrranty period will be over after two months and it will give defects again. So, according to the warranty card, please either replace it or refund its purchase value to me. Neither the sevice center nor the area service manager is co-operating to me. Please help me. Samsung Internal cracks on screen

My husband and i, after much consideration, purchased a large samsung 50 inch plasma tv. We've had this tv for 4 months. A week ago a crack appeared. The tv was hung and has been hanging, on the wall, thanks to a quality monster brand mount. Nothing has moved, bumped or hit this tv in any fashion. We contacted samsung immediately. They had us fax over the purchase receipt and email photos. Based on the c****y point and shoot photos (Hard to see due to the glass screen glare/fuzz) they decided it was external damage and they refused to do anything about it. You cannot feel the cracks, um, because they are internal. We took the tv back to best buy, where we bought it, and a team of employees checked it out and said the cracks are absolutely internal and a flaw in the tv. We are outside of best buy's 90 day return policy, but, in all honesty, it's samsung's product and they should stand behind it!

Samsung refuses to send a live representative to our home to check the tv out. So we're just stuck with this flawed tv. We will absolutely steer clear of samsung and their products from now on. Our phones are samsung, they will be changed out. Our bluray player is samsung, that will be exchanged for a different brand.

Ps, i'm leaving this info on any and every forum I can find. If they buck up and replace/repair our tv, I will go back and update every forum I write on. =0) though that sour taste of bad customer service is sure strong right now!

We brought a 50 inch 3d TV series 4-490 serial no. Pn50c490b3dxza plasma TV.about four years, we couldn't decide what each other wanted for Christmas.so we both decide to get this TV fo our Christmas present. Came home and my wife told me that the TV made a popping sound and would not came on.never have been able to get it on.called Samsung up and told them the problem.they told me only had a year warranty on it nothing they could do about it.we got it on sale paid around 700.00 fo it or a little more.i hate to think that their TV doesn't last longer then that.i can remember when TV came out and they seen like they last forever.so we went out and brought a new TV. But it was not Samsung.i will never buy any of there products again Arcadia ind.

I have about the same issue, I went to plug in ps3 in hdmi slot and after turning it to access the rear inputs I heard a pop then the tv died tried turning back on to no avail and then I noticed a small spider type crack which appeared to b on inside, any way they were going to fix it, sent in a bunch o pics then a few days later the service guy asked if I could get a close up of crack, never should have touched it, picking I up to move caused the crack to grow from less then 2 " to now about 2 feet, called Samsung immediately and now they wont cover it even tho they seen the internal little kinda like a spider crack but from center of crack it prolly had 5 lines any way now they rnt going to fix it they should b held accountable for there poor workmanship, o and I have other older sony plasma that is in my kids room and it has even been hit b4 but still works and didn't crack but my 3d plasma that has never got even a scratch on it breaks just from turning it on it's base to plug in a ps3

I have the same problem only mine went out after plugging in a ps3 in hdmi and tv made pop noise then went dead, after trying to turn it on to no avail I noticed a small spider crack on the inside of glass barely showed up in pic, they tol me they were going to do a 1 time in home fix and had sent them about 27 pics, any way the service guy called me and asked if I could send him a close up of crack, I went to take the pic and rotated it on its base so I could get it at an angle, the only way the crack was visible, any way turning it made the crack which was about 2" total to now a 2 foot long very noticeable crack, I immediately contacted Samsung again and now they wont fix it even tho the pics clearly show that there was not a crack like that before, seems like a really crappy design flaw I have had many flat screen TV's plasma and lcd many a monitors too and have never had this happen to me before, altho this is my only Samsung tv, prolly why it was only 400$ for a 43" 3d plasma tv, if any 1 has a broke 1 without a damaged screen I will buy it for parts

My son threw a small toy and screen cracked and now tv has no picture. Of course the $300 warranty from pc Richards doesn't cover external damage. How convenient for them. Repair man told me it would cost about $1100 to replace screen so not worth it. So aggravating. Loss of $2500. The screen did crack way too easily and there should be some sort of coverage or compensation from store or samsung!
Has anyone had any luck with resolving this sort of problem?

I have the same problem. My Samsung 3D TV suddenly got an internal crack in it. It just went black. No sound. No picture. I went through the evaluation process, just do the could tell me that I caused physical damage to it. They basically called me dishonest. The crack is internal and no physical damage was done. They also said there was no appeals process, and they will not do anything to help repair the TV because physical damage is not covered under Warrentary. So I now have a $2700 loss.

My 59" D8000 was broken by a 2 oz child's toy. Yes it is physical external damage, however it broke way too easily. There is some type of stress internally and the panels are not well made. I hope someone files a class action lawsuit. I will never buy anything made by Samsung again. NEVER!

I agree completely,

have the same problem with my Samsung 58" plasma. My colleague had the same happen to him on the same day with his 65". Did same thing and Samsung customer service has been horrible. Says the damage is physical abuse, there is no damage whatsoever on the external glass yet the internal glass shatters in a star like pattern

I have researched this some to try to refute Samsung's response, the star shaped fracture is indicative of a physical impact, (look on forencics sites) However, does this make sense for the inner glass breaking.

either way, my argument is that clearly there is a manufactruring or design defect in the glass if so many panels are breaking in the same manner. Is anyone aware of any possible class action law suit against samsung for this. They just settled the classaction for the capacitor problem so maybe it will take a nother class action law suit to get them to move on this matter.

We had a 58" Samsung Plasma TV for a year. It was extremely hot when on. I called Samsung. They said all the plasma TV screens are very warm up to 107 degrees emmition. Our screen developed a star-burst crack. Sent pictures to Samsung. They also told us, it was hit with something. NO IT WAS NOT! Best Buy told us they sold the exact Plasma TV only a larger screen and the screen blew out of the entire TV. At the tune of $700 we could have replaced the screen. I don't think so with all the problems they have with this plasma TV and we are'nt taking a chance with a fire later on. Will NEVER buy Samsung product again. I find it hard to believe they are not aware of the default of the system. VERY ANGREY CUSTOMER. Noblesville, Indiana

SAME ISSUE!
Was watching our 59" plasma purchased Jun 2011. Me and my husband heard a "bop" type noise, the screen went white then black. We tried turning it off, then on. No picture only sound. We tried unplugging it and plugging it back in thinking it needed some sort of hard reset... and nothing. We contacted Samsung, and they advise us to inspect the tv. Upon inspection we noticed an internal crack. Could not be felt, only seen if looking directly at the tv. They told us to send in pictures, which we did. A couple days went by and we called them back since we hadnt heard from them. If we wernt placed on hold for long periods with apologies to follow, we were being transferred to another department. Total time in 3 days, 6 hours on the phone and at least half of that was being kept on hold, and we probably spoke to 20 different people. Anyways they said they deemed the tv as physical damage. I argued with them that I was 200% sure that his accusation was false. We were watching the darn thing when it happened! I agrued with them at least an hour that I would accept nothing less then to have someone experienced come out an inspect it versus them assuming something via photos. Tech comes tomorrow. And he actually said it is a common problem with large model samsung plasmas. You know thing is I would have no issue going out an buying another tv if me or my husband was a fault. But why warranty a product and clearly not own up to its fault. The only reason I am putting up a fight is cause they are making me sound guilty of something I am not. And that is the worst service of all!
Oh and btw: 8 days later... not even sound now. tv wont even turn on. Piece of garbage. I wish I could shove this hunk of junk up sumsungs ***

I am having the same problem, I just bought my TV on October 2011 and yesterday I was watching a movie by my self and the TV start going on and off, so I turned the TV off and turn it back on and still did the same thing and start flashing, so I unpluged it and plug it back and turn it on, it did wired noise and the TV went black and about 5 min later I notice there is an internal crack. I been searching online and looks like so many people having the same problem. I am waiting on tech to come to the house and see what could be done. I know this is defect, I worked with electronic for over 3 years and I know very well what's defect and what's not, if Samsung wont help me with this problem I will proceed with legal action with them, and will say goodbye Samsung, since I been very loyal to them and buy nothing except Samsung.
