I purchased the Sage - Peachtree Complete 2010 accounting program after researching the offerings of several popular programs. The Sage - Peachtree Complete 2010 literature lists many features that are essential to my business and most other businesses. Based on the feature list, I purchased the software.

After installing the package and setting up my company on the program, I began to notice a pattern of problems. It seems as though the program is designed to go so far, and then fails to go that one last step needed to make it work the way you want it to. Upon contacting the company, I learned that every shortcoming had a Peachtree "Solution." Pay them a substantial amount of additional money and they will provide additional software and services to satisfy your needs! I feel that this sort of business service is not in my best interest - I expected a "complete" software solution for my initial expenditure.

Bottom line: I now believe that the Peachtree Complete 2010 software was designed to satisfy Peachtree's need for a continuing revenue stream, rather than my needs as a businessman. I caution you before you buy it. I intend to replace the program as soon as I find a suitable alternative that is not full of "holes" requiring additional expense to fill.

I have purchased 2011 for a new company I am setting up. I am a bookkeeper and have used Peachtree for over 15 yrs! Well everytime I have purchased for other companies I was given 30 days FREE support for setting up & for any glitches that I may stumble upon! Well now I have purchased 2011 for 2 seperate companies and when calling for help on sales tax &
the problems with the tax emempt spreadsheet . I was informed that they do not offer the free support & that to get help I would have to purchase the 2013 program along with the support! I feel PEACHTEE has gotten to be as rude as Quickbooks!
They use to give the Mom&Pop feeling but now since they have been brought out by SAGE they have totally lost it!
I guess its time to switch to Quickbooks like the rest of the world.

I used Peachtree accounting 2006 and was extremely happy. I could manually update my tax tables; print out 941s, W2s, W3s, etc for no extra charges, until I upgraded to 2012. Although I thought I was buying the same product --- upgraded because federal 941/940 and W2s changed so much I had to hand do them, became a pain --- I discovered that I could not print out 941 quarterly reports, and W2s were also grayed out. I called and yes, big extra charge for Sage payroll management. At the same time, my summarized payroll reports were not showing the corporation's FICA and MEDICARE tax liability...a call for help on a brand new program that is not working correctly costs $50. And the solutions they suggested have NOT worked. Third, Peachtree gives you a check formatted for 7 1/2 checks, but they do not set the program up to print them out on perforated paper...your supposed to figure how to do it ---- or pay. I do not recommend 2012 unless you buy all the options.

Their payroll service expires on Nov. 30 each year. You have to purchase the complete next year before you are allowed to print 4th qtr reports and w-2's without the word "expired-do not file" on the forms. They do not prorate. This is bad business, we no longer support Peachtree payroll service.

I would have to agree that Sage has many loop holes. Also, if you use there credit card services, they have hidden fees and will take them from your account without any authorization! Please be aware as I have learned the hard way and will never use them again!
