Safeguard America - customer service

I started my service with these crooks 11/2015 tried contacting them 12/2015 and 1/2016 to get an appt scheduled so we can move the service to our new house.Well nobody could locate our account after me calling and calling so now they finally located my account in 2/2016 and since i moved from the old home into our new home they are charging us $1200 to buy out of our old contract and start a new contract with our new house.

I told and pleaded with the manager who was extremely rude asking if there was anyway to waive that $1200 buy out and just give us new equipment he said nope cause we signed a contract. In section 4 of the contract it stated to cancel they charge 90% of the contract fees. I told him we arent trying to cancel we just want to move to the new house. Then the manager proceeds to tell me well sounds like you are in a sticky situation arent you.

So rude i would never recommend this company to anyone. We have 6 kids we cant afford to pay 1200 for something that is out of our control especially since we tried to contact them before escrow closed on our house months before. The customer service girl that helped me was victoria butts and her rude extremely rude inconsiderate manager christopher heath he also said he was the only manager that could help me that there was no other managers above him.

My advise to anyone thinking of getting this service run fast in the other direction.

Do not go with these people!

Only problem I have with Safeguard is their battery. After 6 months the battery is no longer working. I received and email of low battery and then next day I could not arm my house it has been over a week now with no security. They said it was a back up battery ok then why isn't my security working since it plugs in? Then said needs battery and electric So it is not a backup battery they need to get their act together. Plus they did not order battery until I called about not being able to arm and screen is black. They should have better readings of my battery and sent a battery before it went blank and before I have to call about it. My luck I'll have to pay for this battery on top of all this.
Also I cannot get a reduce amount for the now week plus that I have had no security. That really sucks.
They said I would get my battery Tuesday, a week plus, so will see if it comes.

Safeguard America - miss representation/fraud

I was connected by Safeguard America at the end of April, at the time I did not know who they were because the call stated that they were updating my system because the models were changed. I already had a system with Monitronics Security which is great company, and the call I received the representative spoke as if they were a representing Monitronics Security. During the conversation I asked why they needed to come and checked on the system because I was not having any issues and they said, we are just updating our systems. A contractor came changed everything, added a few sensors to windows then presented me with a new contract that is when I questioned what was going on and they proceeded to let me know this was a different company. Now I was put into a position with Monitronics and they explained that they purchased the existing contract with Monitronics and I had nothing to worry about, that was a complete lie. I am still being charged from Monitronics and Safeguard America and no one will help me. I am sorry I ever took that call, I had just gotten out of the hospital a day before I received that call and I was really sick, I thought this company was representing Monitronics; instead they took advantage of me. This is very wrong and I pray that no one else will be fooled by the representatives of Safeguard America Security Company.

Safeguard America - fraud

Our alarm system installed by Safe Home Security on 9/21/2010 was faulty and would randomly set-off within the first (1st) month of service. At the time, I had three (3) daughters under the age of 4 years old and a husband that travelled a lot for business. Since security was a priority for my family, I called the company during the first (1st) week of October 2010 to advise them of the problems we were experiencing with the recently-installed alarm system. Further to the call, I was informed that a technician would be dispatched on 10/08/2010. No technician ever showed up.
On 10/11/2010, I called the company again and spoke to Ms. Zeena Miller of Safe Home Security Inc. to let her know that the technician that was scheduled to service our alarm system on 10/8/2010 never came. Ms. Miller apologized and told me that a technician would be dispatched on 10/12/2010 between 9AM and 1PM. For a second time, no technician ever came on that day either.
On 10/13/2010, I called Safe Home Security Inc. again. The dispatcher promised that a technician would be at my home that same day between 11AM and 12PM. Again, the technician never showed up.
Per Section 14. LIMITED WARRANTY of the enclosed contract: “Any part of the system installed under this agreement which proves to be defective in material or workmanship within three (3) months of the date of completion of the installation will be repaired or replaced with a new functionally operative part with no cost to the client for materials or labor. Service under this warranty is available by simply contacting the Company, 55 Sebethe Drive Suite 201 Cromwell, CT 06416 Tel [protected]."
The contract was signed 9/21/2010 and I called for service SEVERAL times in October 2010 (Within the three (3) month period of Limited Warranty). I have records that a technician was scheduled to service the faulty alarm on 10/8/2010, 10/12/2010, and again on 10/13/2010. No technician EVER showed up.
According to my records, I called for service several times in October 2010 and wrote down in my notes that I specifically called on 10/11/2010, 10/12/2010, and 10/13/2010.
In addition, per Section 2. SERVICES AND EQUIPMENT of the signed Contract: "Company agrees to provide and client agrees to pay FOR SERVICE and/or Equipment as described below".
After several calls requesting service, no technician was ever dispatched to fix the defective alarm system. Following weeks of unreliable service and no attempts by the company to fix the alarm system that I paid for, I submitted a service cancellation request in writing and replaced my faulty alarm system with a new system provided by ADT Security Services.
To this day, Safe Home Security Inc. continues to charge me for services that they have not provided.
According to me, it is clear that Safe Home Security has failed to meet the terms of their contract and has failed to provide service on at least three (3) occasions as promised. The Company also refused to honor the Limited Warranty service within the coverage period of three (3) months from the date of installation.
