I signed up their home security service over 2 years ago. Due to a job change, we were moving to CA from MA. We are currently selling the MA house, and I asked Safe Home Security to cancel my account. Initially I called the company, and I spoke to Justin Lavoie, and he asked me to submit a written letter of cancellation. I had written a formal letter to them in Feb 9, 2010.

And I thought that it was the end of the service. I called the company a few times to see if they received my email. No one got back to me.
Now it is March 30, 2010, and I just received another invoice from the company.

I just called and spoke to Alison. She didn't give out her last name. She said she couldn't cancel my contract. She's asking for a closing document for the house in MA. My house is on the market, and I am not sure when it's selling. Meanwhile, according to her, I still have to pay for the service. But no one lives in the house.

Alison wasn't reasonable. She kept bringing up the contract clause that they need a closing document before cancelling.

Also, they never return my voice mails. Or reply to my emails. Very unprofessional.

I would like to warn everyone in public to watch out for this company. They are evil. They are not reasonable and receptive of customer's situations.
Do not use "Safe Home Security, Inc".

By the way, the contract was for 2 years. They still don't let me cancel. They want to see my contract document. I will have to find it.

Has anyone figured this out,my grandmother lives in a 55+ trailer park,that specifically says "no soliciting ",but shortly after she had her stroke she was sitting in her back yard(I would say not completely recovered from the stroke)when a person from safe home walked through the front and into the back yard and sold her a contract that they said wasn't up until 2027,how is that possible,and there wasn't a cancellation fee they talked about when I called to cancel,they just straight up told me that she cannot end the contract until 2027...i can't get of them to have them send me a copy of the contract,on top of that they told her they would cancel her old security system and never did.

They said that they added a system in my home. They lied I have never had their system. They keep sending me messages saying that they are monitoring my home. I want to Know where is the system. I’m going to report them to the Better Business Bureau.

I am moving into a senior citizen home and no longer need your service. please remove this service as soon as possible. The new senior citizen apartment/home has its own system. Please forward me the last bill to my e-mail address.

I'm trying to cancel (buyout) our "Monitoring Agreement" with Safe Home Security. I have read the agreement, and I have sent a registered and tracked written letter to Safe Home Security,1125 Middle Street, Middletown, CT 06457. I have agreed to pay the "%90 payment" of "stated terms." Safe Home Security received the letter on Monday, Sept. 19th, 2022 at 11:25 am. I have since called Safe Home Security's customer service number(s) and was told that it is too soon for them to "scan in my letter," and it would be about two weeks before they would be able to do so, and, after, they would send me information as to where I should send the "buyout fee" etc. I fear that this is a dodge. How long does it take to "scan" a letter. I have already made arrangements to monitor with another company, and time is of the essence. I can put off the other company, but since I already have agreements with that trusted company (bundling) I would prefer not to do so. I may have to consult an attorney.

I'm trying to cancel my contract with Safe Home Security. Because of poor service (it's like pulling teeth to get someone to come check and service their equipment), I want to go to another company. I read their agreement including the "Early Cancellation" clause, and have informed SHS, by letter, that I agree to the "%90 if stated terns" buyout policy. I have already been in consultation with the new monitoring company I with which I want to do business but I fear SHS is going to drag its feet so that I'm forced to continue with them. I wish I had read the reviews on this company before signing any agreement.

I bought a house with their product installed and active. I called them to have it switched over to my name. They signed me up for a 3 year contact without telling me. When I called to cancel it they tried to make me pay the whole 3 years worth of service. Definitely a scam. They’re adding more and more money to the total every time they send a new bill. Waiting for them to try to take me to court over it so I can inform the judge of what they’re doing.

I originally got a security system with this company in 2008. I have been trying to cancel my contract for over 10 years. For over 10 years the system has not EVER worked properly. They would get it to work for no longer than a week and at the same time would automatically renew my contract. I never signed any contract but have not been able to stop the auto drafts from my account. I have put in notice of cancellation numerous times but they always come up with some reason to automatically renew it anyway. I just spoke to customer care and Alicia told me my contract is now due to expire in May of 2020 instead of January but a cancellation notice is in however since the notice was put in so long ago it might get "lost". Yes she said lost! This is the biggest scam I've ever seen. It is appalling that a company can get away with steeling all my hard earned money.

Yes this an irresponsible and inconsiderate company with whom i wished i would have never had any contact with. Got into a contract wih them that they didn't even tell me i was in contract with them until after the fact. Had a security system with another company and trying to reduce my monthly payments instead they went up. This company doesn't care about its customers just their hard earned dollars. What a shame.

This company is a rip-off they lack people skills and make it impossible to cancel service. Why can we just call and cancel the darn service. Please discontinue my service immediately. Account number - 222990

Reason for discontinuing service: On July 23rd lightning struck my home and caused fire. Safe Home Security did not get any signal for fire nor did it get any signal when the fire department forcefully opened the front door. When I called Safe Home Security on July 23rd to stop the alarm which did not stop even after entering the code, the service representative could not stop the alarm and told me that they have not received any signal for the fire or the door that was forcefully opened by fire department. Also, they said that they have not got any signal since July 1st. Since Safe Home Security did not provide the monitoring service, there is no need for me to continue the service going forward. Please discontinue my service immediately and stop my auto-pay.

Please HELP; I need to cancel this contract ASAP. My mother was visited by two pests selling the system and harassed her several times. Finally they told her that she had to have the system and finally coersed her to get the system. She just had to have it since these two people had convinced her to do so. Later when she fell and needed help, no response was received from this service. As consequence of the fall, I took her to live in my house and her house is alone and does not require the service. I have called, written and begged to cancel the contract only to have the person laugh at me since "you have a signed 5 year contract that you have to pay no matter what". We should get a lawyer and go for a class suit on this company. Since they are not willing to keep their end of the bargain. We do NOT WANT Nor NEED this sub service and/or disrespectful employees.

My aunt lived in Puerto Rico, she is 83 years old with multiple medical issues. I had to bring her THIS WEEK to the United States with me to take care of her health issues and watch over her. I called the company to CANCEL her service in Puerto Rico, which has not worked since Hurricane Maria (more than 77 days ago) because she has no electricity. The company is still getting the money with no service. They are very friendly when you buy their system, but very rude (Jeffrey) and imposible to cancel even if you go through two hurricanes like Puerto Rico did. Mr Jeffrey said to wire a letter and if management agrees, let see. He asked why my aunt did not get natural disasters insurance. I was with my aunt when she got the system and I never heard the salesman offering this. NONETHELESS, SAFE HOME SECURITY, INC IS TERRIBLE AND NOT SENSITIVE TO THE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE PEOPLE IN PUERTO RICO ARE GOING THROUGH LIKE MANY OTHERS COMPANIES HAVE. THEY JUST WANT MONEY, MONEY, MONEY NOT SERVICE AND THERE ARE MANY UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS.

Safe Security is a great company when everything is working. But they disappear when things need to be fixed. Trying to call then requires at least 30 min on hold. Don't have problems on the weekend since they don't have any help.

My name is Garry Hightower my account number is 29582 please cancel and my account and refund my money back to my credit card since December 1st 2016. My address is 5471 Chatham Woods Court Columbus Ga. 31907. I was promise a camera security system which was never delivered. I have been calling twice a month and each time I was told the camera where on back order. I was told a customer services agent name Brenda would call me back it was just a stall. Fraud and lies the system is constantly going off we have to use the remote to get out the house.

I had a system failure on my alarm. Unfortunately the failure was on Sat. and Safe Security had no one available on the weekend to assist me. A work order was created. But on Mon. morning no one called no one reached out to help. The system is still down and they are to stupid or inept to try to fix it. I cancelled the service.

Safe home has a loop clause that automatically renews itself, then they harass you and ruin your credit! Report them to the Business bureau of conneticut!

I have been dealing wit safe home security for 6 months waiting on them to purchase my contract from guardian alarm have yet to purchase my contract but still collecting there fees pleases discontinue my account and pick up your equipment staying with guardian alarm ...

This is the worst company. They employ fraudulent people, they take money out your account before it's actually due and there service to come out and fix anything is useless. This is a pathetic business and I absolutely hate them! It's ashame they don't get closed down for fraud, in sales and service
