I totalled a vehicle on 03/06/09, and asked for my totalled vehicle to be removed from policy. I paid for two months of that car (after it was totalled) and am owed 300 plus dollars of reimbursement or credit to my account. Safe Auto, after at least twenty calls, seventeen different customer service individuals and claims individuals, still has not refunded my overpayment as a credit to my account! I have spent hours on the phone explaining this, several individuals "understand' but "cant do anything, because it's not their department' then the other department who is responsible NEVER calls me back or is available or can't make decisions on it... I am getting the run around, I want my credit! they took money and have had it and I can't seem to get a credit! help!

I am currently going through a similar experience with Safe Auto. I had a vehicle totaled in Jan. 2014 . We have full coverage, Safe Auto has still yet to pay out our total loss and has bounced around our calls from dept to dept. . They even claimed that they never received our faxes etc. and we have several fax confirmations and we sent the info. via mail too . Safe Autos own customer service rep has verified they received the info we sent via mail too. So why is the adjuster spinning us ? The adjuster is never in or answers calls or returns call for that matter. I have talked to him all of 3 times and all three have been due to escalation efforts via the claims customer service rep emailing the adjuster to talk to us or for him to communicate to us what is going on with our claim. In addition to that we have escalated our complaint to upper management and received no response . We then went to the top of the food chain by sending a letter to the President of the company and still no response.

It doesn't take a good insurance company more than 30 days to pay out on a total loss claim. To add to that, the other party in the accidents insurance company hasn't been able to reach the correct person either, so now they are calling me for a contact person.

Again our insurance has and always is paid on time. Tell your friends, family etc. Don't go to Safe Auto! maybe that should be the new commercial. Don't Go To Safe Auto tell 10 friends thanks

and best part is they couldnt even tell me y it didnt process correctly and refused to reinstate me and refused to wave the fee and was gonaa charge me even more for a new policy! so i said keep it canceled

i have had problems paying my bill on line with safeauto twice i got a confirmation saying it went thru and recently they charged me nsf fee and they canceled me...i was so upset and paid it even though it was their bad...and their customer service sucks so now im with statefarm...i never had problems with anybody else just safeauto...what if i got in an accident?scary thought...and they would probably b useless in claims department too

Please file a complaint with the BBB of Central Ohio. Your complaint will be addressed and (hopefully) resolved.

they lied and suck! had my sr-22 expired from mdv no longer needed! safe auto stated i still need my sr-22 and pay 3 months in advance. now thats some BS!right there! lucky i called my local mdv and got all the info needed and some tips on how to avoid stuff like this. i hate being lied to, thank god! no more safe auto for me!
