Ruby Tuesday manager (jennifer hatfield)

I am a former employee at this establishment. I ended up leaving because the management was AWFUL and I could not keep my mouth shut about it anymore. Jennifer is the most unprofessional manager I have ever encountered in my entire life, and here is why:

1.) She goes out to bars with certain employees and then comes into work and plays favorites with the said employees. For example, there is one employee named Shannon that Jennifer hangs out with on a regular basis; I can think of at least 5 instances where Jennifer has let Shannon leave earlier than she was supposed to so they could go out to bars together, leaving every other employee having to compensate for her absence through increased sidework, etc. Also, Jennifer gives all of her friends at work the better shifts and makes certain exceptions for them that she would never make for anyone else.

2.) She talks badly about employees to OTHER EMPLOYEES while at work. For example, she has said to me personally on numerous occasions how "stupid" and "incompetent" other employees were. She also told me PERSONAL things about other employees that they said to her in confidentiality. For example, she told me details about another employee's family emergency which the said employee wanted to keep private.

3.) She is the most sexist manager I have ever come into contact with in my career. For example, one day a male employee did not show up for a scheduled shift and was NOT penalized whatsoever by her. But, several female employees who have done the same thing have been fired on the spot.

4.) There have been several occasions where Jennifer's boyfriend has come into the restaurant and they sit at the bar and kiss, snuggle, hold hands, etc for the entire rest of the night.

5.) Jennifer is in charge of making the schedule at this establishment. I know it is against Ruby Tuesday policy to schedule opening and closing shifts to shift leaders, but for the entire time I worked there (over 1 year) a shift leader closed the restaurant nearly every single Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night.

Jennifer is all around an awful manager and made my experience working at Ruby Tuesday and awful one. From the fakeness and talking badly about other employees behind their backs (me included) to the down right unprofessionalism that she portrays on a daily basis, I could not find it in myself to work at this establishment any longer. I loved all of the people I worked with other than her but I will be telling all of my friends to avoid working there solely because of her. Went to the RT at Troy, OH on 1/6/2017, expecting to have a great meal. I have liked most of the entrees at RT's all over the country, but their BBQ Ribs are to die for. Well, they were. At the Troy store, the salad bar looked like it was getting old, with the dressings skimming over. When my full rack of ribs arrived, I've never been so disappointed in a restaurant in my life. I could hardly get a knife through the meat. They were extremely tough. We didn't ask for a credit and wasn't offered one. On the way home, I got a little queasy. From my experience last night, and some of the comments I've read here, the old song comes to mind, "Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday." The way restaurants are closing their doors these days, this could be RT's swan song sooner than you think.

Ruby Tuesday food preparation / wait staff

Just finished a lunch at ruby tuesdays in Bloomfield CT. The service started off very slow and waited a long time for food. Customer attention can definitely be improved. Once meals finally arrived the meals were prepared incorrectly. I doublechecked the salad description to verify and found out they left half of the items off of it cause they ran out. The chef just sent it out. It wasn't even presented well. one other meal completely came out wrong too and had to be redone as well. We did not get offered any compensation for our experience. To say the least-not going back there anytime soon.

Ruby Tuesday horrible service

My husband and I went to Ruby Tuesday on 12/01/16 after a busy day at work, We've been at this restaurant several times never a problem, today on the other hand was the worst ever the server (1328) was also the bartender which took forever for her to acknowledge us, she comes over not friendly at all, she's like you ready to order, not what can I get you all to drink, my husband and I order, another server brought out our dinner, no refill on the drinks not even how's everything tasting, can I get y'all anything else, enjoy nothing, we ordered the 3 course meal @12.99, my husband ordered the half rack rib, she says what two sides he says ff and she like you get one more side he's like what other side do you have she says broccoli, zucchini, Mac and cheese, my husband says ok Mac and cheese. She took forever and I mean forever, she's like ok dessert brownie or tart, we both said the brownies that literally took about 45 minutes to get we got the check and she notice we still haven't got our dessert mean while other severs were coming out of the kitchen with the brownie dessert, anyways my point is I really would like a refund because we received horrible service and not only that she should of informed us that the Mac and cheese was going to be an extra charge on the bill not even that she did. Never again will I go to that Ruby Tuesday, I would drive to another RT.

Ruby Tuesday long wait on thanksgiving, mcdonough ga location

My friend and I went to Ruby Tuesday this past Thursday for thanksgiving. When we walked in, there was no hostess, then a witness came up and asked if we were ok. We said just waiting to be seated. The hostess finally seated us. We waited over 15 minutes for a server to come to our table. The restaurant was not crowded. I believe it was after 2PM. When our server finally did come over, he apologized but we were ready to order drinks and dinner since service was already slow. We were told that there was only one cook and there would be a wait. We already knew there was a wait. He took our drink and dinner orders. Another 15 or 20 minutes passed. No drinks. I got up and went to the bar to get drinks. No bartender for another 15 minutes. Finally the bartender shows up. I ordered drinks and immediately said I need the check. Got the check, paid and went back to my table. My friend had the salad bar. I didn't do the salad bar so I just waited on the food. I had the seafood. It was ok except the fish was overcooked and when I placed my order, they were out of the Mac and cheese. Anyway, food was ok, service very slow. They were very understaffed. The manager did come out and apply the coupon that I had when the server couldn't figure it out. That was appreciated and I think the manager did the best he could under the circumstances and he was the one doing the cooking. My friend and I got our food to go after that. Now the topping of the cake was when we both were given WALMART bags to carry our food out! All we could do is take a picture of the bag, crack up and leave. Please don't give out WALMART bags as your to go bags. Please don't run out of food and please have more people working next thanksgiving or just don't open!

Ruby Tuesday service

My family and I went to Ruby Tuesday 4432 on Sunday right before 3pm. The service has been horrible the last 2-3 visits, but gave it one last chance. It took forever to get our food. When we did get our food it was horrible. My wife ordered 2 sides of zucchini, and they only sent 1 order originally. Our waitress brought out the second side after she was completely done with her meal, and it was burnt and greasy. My daughter ordered corn dogs and they were lukewarm on the inside as if they had been sitting while the other food was being prepared. She didn't eat them. 3/4 of my ribs were burnt to the point that i couldn't cut them with a knife. Our waitress was polite, but the people that prepared our food were horrible. The manager never came over to the table to see how things were, and they mostly stayed huddled together laughing amongst themselves. There were maybe 4 tables with customers in them so it wasn't at all busy, and yet we were there over an hour. This was pretty much the last straw for us. We won't ever go here again, and we gave it more chances because of convenience. Just thought you may want to know.

Ruby Tuesday awful service, sub-par food!

Went to RT in Attleboro, Mass for dinner on Thanksgiving. I didn't expect there to be 5-star service, being Thanksgiving, but for the entire experience, it should have been CLOSED. Service wasn't even worth ONE star, food was poorly prepared, waited for 25 minutes for 1 cup of coffee, 1 iced tea, and 1 lemonade...were they growing the coffee beans? Squeezing the lemons? Then the waitress had to leave UNANNOUNCED with NO NOTICE to us, only AFTER we were there 20 mins waiting for drinks. They tried to be attentive, but TOTALLY missed the mark. Salad bar was wilted and dried out on the top, frozen on the bottom. Main course was put in incorrectly to the kitchen, and EVERY PLATE had to be redone. Then when it was brought out, it STILL wasn't right, AND some items burned. Frustrated and hungry, we just ate what we could. They offered free dessert, which we okayed but weren't there for dessert. My 8 year old granddaughter, who was THE reason were there, liked her dessert, and we TRIED to make the best of it since it's HER favorite place to go, but even SHE was disappointed... THEN, on the way out, "our" ORIGINAL waitress was sitting on a bench yacking with her co-workers. Would YOU ever go back? I doubt it. I always liked going to RT, and HAVE, many many times, but after THAT ordeal, never again. I was even CHARGED for everything, save one desert. The ONLY REASON a tip was left was because my partner felt bad... I didn't WANT a tip added. I work HARD for the money I make, and REFUSE to give it away freely for poor food and/or service. I'm the FIRST ONE to forgive and forget, IF I see someone trying, but NOT for BLATANT NONCHALANT IGNORANCE. Now I see RT is closing nearly 100 locations, INCLUDING that Attleboro location. Just close it and be done. With personnel like that, it only makes it worse for the victims who patronize it.
Thank-you for listening, but I can't help thinking this is all falling on DEAF EARS.

Ruby Tuesday a very bad food experience

Sunday 11/27/16 my fiancé and I went to the Ruby Tuesday at 10843 W. Park Place in Milwaukee, Wi 53224 for dinner. I ordered the petit sirloin steak w/broccoli and mashed potatoes, when the meal came out which took 1/2 hr to receive the steak look like a dried piece of shoe leather and one whole side of my plate was dirty. We asked the server to come back to the table and I said what I wrong with the steak and why is my plate dirty? she responded that they probably had tried wiping the plate off in the kitchen that was only the 1st part I was given a platter size plate which for the portion of the serving it looked like the plate was empty. She took the plate back to the kitchen to have it re-done when she returned with my fresh plate it did look better but why are your portions so small and if they are going to be that small why are they served on such a big plate. We were there about a month ago and enjoyed our food I also got a steak at that time but was satisfied. You really need to work on your presentation of the food. We paid our bill but my fiancé says we will never go back I was really disappointed with the size, the appearance, and the lack of caring about my eating experience there.

Ruby Tuesday food

My family and I visited Ruby Tuesday in Woodbridge, VA this evening. It was the worst food I've ever had. My server was nice which was the only thing we enjoyed. I ordered the ribeye and it taste like cheap chewy nasty beef (not exaggerating). I ordered it medium rare and it came out over cooked. They made a new one and over cooked again. I was starving so I told them I didn't want to wait another 15 minutes. After cutting through the center and after my first bite I had to stop eating. My family's food was cold as well. I work in the food industry and I've never had food this bad. Never again

Ruby Tuesday manager at lexington virginia

I recently was at your Lexington Va resturant. Im surprised you have not been sued as i witness your manager tell an employee man go get your big girl panties on.2 hours for dinner because of your kitchen staff my husband is allergic to mushrooms .told the waitress came out with mushrooms.45 minutes for just the meat.? Manager sitting in dinning room on her phone what a joke would not come out and speak with us.

Ruby Tuesday wings were super small

We went to RT on Nov 19th, 2016. Server was Clark R and the check #7833

Typically we spend about $40 when we eat at your restuarant but after seeing the size of our wings this time, we decided not to stay for dessert. Usually the wings are of a good size. This time it was less than half the portion even though they were the same amount of wings.
When I said something, the waiter looked at me like I was crazy. That's the way they are'. Oh yeah, then you enjoy them because I won't be coming back. My wife is 61 yrs young and 110lbs soaking wet. She eats like a bird and was still hungry after eating these wings. Which never happens at Ruby Tuesday(usually).

Ruby Tuesday manager / stealing (stephanie) #2686 college park

My complaint start on November 17th 2016 I made an online order togo( [protected], [protected]) which they both were burnt I called back up to the restaurant and they took out my name and told me that they will replace the meal, mind you I was just complaining about 1 at the time. Next time visit on November 22nd to get the replacement meal the manager Stephanie was very dismissive about my complaint and then told me that I didn't order food or pay for food on the 17th because she couldn't find any record of I clearly have receipts and my online confirmation so I feel very disrespected as if I'm lying that I bought food and I was told that they would replace it not for sure who stealing and not ringing up orders I am very upset at that time my kids was there with me also for kids eat free on Tuesday while the manager is telling me I'm lying about ordering food and paying cash for it . Ruby Tuesday service

I don't go to Ruby Tuesday that often, I only go when I receive a coupon in the mail. So it was date with my husband on 11/19/16 Saturday approx 9:30pm. It took about 7 minutes to have Dylan the waiter come to her table and get our drink orders. We had the coupons sitting on the table for $8 off, but one get one off 50% off & $5 off sitting on our table. We ordered (1) $12.99 a entree, 2 sides, dessert and my husband ordered the sampler for dinner. Not one time did Dylan mention that we would NOT be able to use the coupon with the $12.99 meal that I ordered. Check out time we hand Dylan the $8 off coupon and payment. He immediately says you can't use any coupons for what you ordered. I asked him where does it say that on the menu? His answer, I don't know I just know you can't use the coupon. He takes the payment, he is gone for about 3-5 minutes and Kathleen comes to the table, she doesn't introduce herself she just says you can't use the coupon with the $12.99 meal that you ordered. I said to her, who are you l, she proceeds to say in a not so nice tone, I'm the manager. So, I said why are you here. She says cause I want to let you know that you can't use the coupon. I said to her, Dylan already told us this & why are you here. She says, I just wanted you to know. Then she walks away, at that point she or Dylan did not process the payment. She is gone for about another few minutes. Kathleen comes back to the table, and brings the receipt back to the table with her writing on the top of the receipt . She wrote the price of the 12.99 meal, and what it would have been if not in the $12.99 special. She proceeds to say, see you already saved $8.00'witht the
Special. If you would have added it all together you would have realized the deal you already were offered. I told her that I was done talking about it, I was done talking about when the payment was given to her about 10-15 minutes ago at this point. The way she talked to me and husband was very condescending, like we didn't know how to add. She kept talking about something that we decided was over long time ago. When me and my husband submitted payment we were done with the coupon issue. But, obviously Kathleen was not done. She kept beating a dead horse. We also were planning on attending a certain movie at a specific time, but with Kathleen continuing to push the issues we had to change the movie time. Very unprofessional, her customer service skills were awful. I am an account manager in customer service at my place of employment and I thrive on meeting and exceeding ALL customers expectations. Kathleen and Dylan did not that evening ... I also told Kathleen that I will not be back & she didn't try to make the matter better, she said ok and walked away.

Ruby Tuesday service and price

Had a large group come in...had a waiter that had only worked there for two days wait on us...did not get a backup waiter, some people got their food, some did not get food until after others were finished, some orders were forgotten, We ordered beverages before viewing menu, I ordered Peach tea and had to ask 6 times for a refill, finally got a refill and imagine my surprise when I was charge close to $4 twice for Peach Tea and a refill so that is $8 for Flavored Tea, If I had of known that I would have ordered water and put flavoring in it..
Will definately not go back to a Ruby Tuesdays again

Ruby Tuesday food

Me and fiance went to ruby tuesdays for his birthday on 11/18/2016 aprox. 6:30 pm. We got the 3 for 12.99 special. He got a medium-well cooked 8 oz sirloin green beans and mashed potatoes and i got the petite 6 oz sirloin medium-well cooked with mashed potatoes and french fries. When our plates came out his was still bloody and mine was just tanned on both sides and the rest was completely raw. The manager sent them back had them throw them back on the grill then put them back on the same bloody plates and had them on the wrong plates to. My fiances came back good enough to eat and mine came back still all pink n bloody inside. I ate 3 bites and didnt eat anymore. I got sick from eating the steak. Then the manager asked if my fiance wanted anything and he said a complimentary beer and the manager said ok. When the check came we not only paid for my food that i barley touched but the beer also. Will never go back to this place!

Ruby Tuesday customer service and food

We received some of the worst service ever. We asked our server numerous times to bring out our bill once we ordered because we were on our lunch break. Then, after an hour, our food came out and our food was cold and we did not have all the condiments, once we asked, it took her 20 mins to bring it out. We were late returning to work. The waiters as was rude and not willing to help us. The manager finally came and explained things to us and apologized for the inconvenience during our visit.

Ruby Tuesday disrespectful manager

On Saturday November 19, 2016 at approximately 2:45 pm, my daughter and I went for lunch at your ruby Tuesday located in Miami Florida and 120ave and 152street Deer Wood. The menu read three and one, we clearly spoke with the waitress explaining to her what it was that we wanted to eat ! two entrées and one salad that will be your three and then a dessert. After waiting one hour and 15 minutes for the meal we Asked for our Tab, we were charged for two meals bringing a total of 28.06, The restaurant had customers so I paid the bill and then requested to speak with the manager? To prevent a scene the manager came to the table Haitian black female with an attitude and I "quote" her words there isn't anything I can do ! the bill has been paid. I spoke to my general manager there's nothing I could do. I tried to explain to her but she was not giving me that opportunity to speak, she then reached in her pocket and gave me a $15 bonus card that's not good until January 2017 she placed it on the table and walked away not allowing me the opportunity to speak to her . this woman was very rude, unprofessional and unethical and should not be working or dealing with the general public within your restaurant/ Business ! I asked for a copy of my receipt and never was given that copy I look forward in hearing your response concerning this matter sincerely Officer Bell.

Ruby Tuesday service

I visited ruby Tuesday in the tifton ga location. On 11/18/2016I arrived at 6:45 pm. Saw my waitress at 7:00 and place our order. At 8:00 no food the waitress came around told us the kitchen was messed up and the food would come in a while. 8:25 manager Lauren came stated that the food was free since we waited over an hour. 8:45 she said she was coming with the food the mananger Lauren. 9:00 no food. Her excuse was they told her we had left...say what? Why would we leave when u came to the table 15 min earlier and told us you were bringing the food. People around us that came after us had already been served. The kitchen was horrible.. I have never been to any place and waited 2 hours not to eat. We finally left at 9:15 after no service and no food. I don't know if Lauren was just scared to address us or not. We never saw the waitress again. I guess she was scared or embrassed also.. I really do like ruby Tuesday and I eat there at least 5 times a month. But I was extremely, dissatisfied with everything tonight. Don't think me and my family will be returning.. advise if you have a manager that can't handle the kitchen maybe you need a new manager.. several tables walked out..because of the over hour wait..I should have left with them..

Ruby Tuesday racial slurs by waitress angela goodling

My family and I while traveling from New York had stopped for a meal at the Somerset Pa Ruby Tuesday Restaurant. As an African American family, we have had to endure plenty of racism in our lives which we attribute to many things, however, this incident I feel it is important to mention. We were seated and not more than 3 minutes after being seated and being given our menus, our waitress whom introduced herself as "Angela", left our table and made her way to the back. Another employee had propped open the swinging door to carry out a few salad bar items when we witnessed our server/waitress Angela state quite loudly to another employee while in the back "Of course I get the tables with the ###s" I immediately told my family to please go to the car and wait for me to return. I had made an inquiry to the the bar tender requesting our server's/waitress's last name in order to make the company aware of the severe disrespect and racial slurs made by this person Angela. The bar tender replied that our servers' last name was Goodling. We will be notifying the corporate office regarding this incident.

Ruby Tuesday food

Bring back cheese sticks. You've lost a faithful customer because you took them off the menu. They cheese skillet is not as good. Mozz sticks were one the main reasons I came into the restaurant. I literally got up and left when I found out that you took them off the menu. Our waitress is dissapointed, I'm dissapointed, and you lost loyal cutosmers. Bring THEM BACK.

Ruby Tuesday management

I am sick and tired of spending my hard earned money to an establishment that has no customer service worth a damn.

I frequent Ruby Tuesdays all of the time through bad tasting food, bad waitresses, to horrible management. Yet I do not complain, until now. I have had enough.

I came to Ruby Tuesdays 1 day and ordered the salad bar + Jambalaya. This salad bar addition was $2.99. The jambalaya was hotrid..I simply could not eat it send requested that it be taken off. This was done, but at whose expense.Mine. I paid $7.99 for salad bar because you all soon food sucked.

Today (I used 2 come here weekly) I come here with you all coupon printed on receipt for a free appetizer. I order my food and when time to pay...all of a sudden I can't use my coupon. I had on the table entire time, why wasn't I told I couldn't use it when I ordered. I am sure the waitresses know when the coupon can be used, yes? Asked for manager and get a total lie...the waitress tried and couldn't use coupon. And that my coupon. Was expired and she actually gave me one with a code already on it.Really? I got the receipt 10/25 & have 2 use it in 4 weeks. How was this expired on 11/15, please tell me?

You all have the best salad bar in town said by me and my son, but I seek out others cuz you all will get no more of my money! Customer service is everything and sorry management is not for me. Twice in less than 2 months though, and different managers.
