"racism at ruby tuesdays" I found out that the ruby tuesdays - in aiken, sc is very racist! They hire black people because they have 2 then they try to over work the back people. They cant stand seeing a black person to work in the front of the house, or become managers. And there are alot of people that u think that they your friends but they not because of the color of your skin.. I would not eat there because I would not even trust them with my food at all they might spit in it trust me I know. They do not like blacks at all. I heard that somebody turnd the tables around on them and so that person can play the same game they was playin & they did not like it at all I know im not eating there after I heard about that mess! Not long ago we went to Ruby Tuesdays and we had a wonderful quiet dinner and decided to go back again, Oh well, the Asian ribs I ordered were so dry I could not swallow them without water and most of the time during dinner we had to swap flies so they would not land on our food. even thought we made a comment to the waitress there was nothing but a smile as a solution to the problem. we will not go back again, we can have a picnic with flies we don't need them in a suppose to be great restaurant,

Really? Flies can be in a restaurant.. what did you expect them to do for you? Im sorry your food was bad but it does happen at times even at great restaurants especially if they are franchised.

Terrible food. My husband loves Ruby Tuesday ribs & we had a coupon so we went yesterday. We went to the same location last year & swore that we would never come back, as the server took our order & never came back. We had to hunt down another employee to get our food, but we never got the check. We left $40.00 on the table and walked out. So we tried again. It took over an hour (in a very empty restaurant) to get our food. My husband ordered the ribs, they were cold and tasted microwaved, his baked potato was brown and spaghetti squash was very undercooked. I ordered a medium rare steak which came very cold, well done, and tasted old. I ordered an baked potato & got microwaved mashed potato, and broccoli that was over the top salty. We ate a very small amount and asked for our check. The server did not even notice that we did not eat the food nor ask if we were satisfied. My husband paid the bill, I don't know why, I would have refused. So now it is official NO RUBY TUESDAY EVER EVER AGAIN.

I received a coupon on line for my birthday It was for a free hamburger and two sides. We went to R.
T.'s and the waitress did not give it to me because she said there was no code. I printed it the way they told me too. It was a picture of a Bacon Cheeseburger and had all the details on it. I can fax the coupon if necessary

burnt food and all salad plates had food on them
We had reserved a table for five. When we arrived they had no table reserved.This is the second time this has happen to us. As soon as you walk in the place smelled bad. "ALL" the salad plates had food stuck on them. We asked to see the manager and NO ONE came. When we got our food it was burnt. My grandaughters, chicken tasted bad like old grease. I filled a complaint on line and of course the manager called and said how sorry she was. I'm going to call our health dept.to file a complaint.I also and trying to call guest services department. My husband had a liver transplant and we have to only eat at A rating resturants. Oh when the clean plates for the salad bar where placed at the salad bar, we didn't want to try the bar. It really turned me off. The big ### chairs that they are now using is a fire trap. One can hardly get around to get to the salad bar and the restroom.as well as to leave the resturant. I will NOT eat at that RUBY TUESDAY

We normally have a great experience every time we dine at Ruby Tuesdays in Pocomoke, Md. but tonight that all changed. We regularly eat @ this location so we know about the waitress having to tell us about the shrimp fondue by the time she delivers the drinks. Normally they do...except for tonight. She asked if we wanted an appetizer. So, she brought the drinks & didn't mention the shrimp fondue. So when it came time to order we brought this to her attention. She said, "I didn't"? We said no mam you didn't. So she put the order in. While we were eating our meal she came back & proceeded to tell us that she did mention it & when we told her what was said she continued to tell us we were wrong but " that was ok". That small "argument" upset us because for 1 she was wrong & for 2 she came back 15 minutes after the order was put in to argue about it. But what really ticked us off was the receipt was altered in such a way that when we got home to add it up we actually paid $7.99 extra which was the cost of the shrimp fondue. I do not like dishonest people & we were treated wrongly. I did not get the waitress' name but there is a name & possibly an employee ID number. The number is 740 & the name beside that is Lakeny C. The restaurant phone number is [protected]. I don't think such a dishonest person should be working for you. How many more people has she done this to? Thank you...

Me and my family visited your restaurant this evening (29th feb 12) for dinner.
Even though you have a smoking zone these two boys were given a hookah to smoke. Me and my 8 year son are allergic to smoke. On calling the manager on duty he simply moved them to another spot in the smoking area three tables away from us and not in the smoking zone

I am a frequent customer of your restaurant in Concord NC. I eat there at least 5-6 times a month. Whenever I have gone to that restaurant the staff and the managers have been gracious, friendly, and professional, the food is wonderful, the service excellent, even when they have a line stretching out the door, I have never felt rushed or ignored, but what I witnessed in the last week is just offensive. There was a woman manager there on Saturday 2/25, an employee of yours!, I believe her name was Ann, I have seen her in there a few times before, I later was told that she is upper management in your company? I watched her belittle the employees, she was so mean and degrading that I was embarrassed for them, her attitude with the customers was just as bad, when another customer motioned for her to come to their table, she dismissed them as if they didn’t exist, and then she sent someone else to deal with them and whatever issue they had! But, again the way she talked to the staff with no regard for who could see or hear them is disgusting.
I have always loved going there, I have taken clients, and I have gone with friends, this was my "go to" restaurant, but after witnessing her and realizing that this is the type of people that you employee, I am going to have to rethink my choice.
I know that I am only one person and in the great scheme of things my opinion will hardly matter, but this woman, Ann, truly gives your restaurant, and your company a bad name.

On Friday Feb 17, 2012 my husband and myself went to this restuarant to haave lunch around 1:00 pm we went in and stood at the hostess station for 5 minutes was never acknowledged so we sat at the bar area. While waiting on server noticed several tables not bused. Finally the server came to us and asked for drink ordered water and tea. The employees were loud and couldn't hear ourself talk. When we ordered I ordered the salad bar with mini's and my husband ordered ribs and salad. We went to get our salads the bar was picked over and some things looked dried out so I was able to get something I thought the broccoli salad tasted funny and the ranch dressing wasn't fresh. Then the server brought out the garlic cheddar biscuit it was almost black on the bottom and hard and could break a window if you threw it. The food came out after noticed sitting in the window for over 5 minuites. My sliders where charbroiled on the bottom to where you couldn't eat it. My husbands ribs were burnt (charred) dried out and no flavor the rice tasted like it was made early morning. When we let the server know she acted like now big deal and then I guess it was the manager came up and took it from us and unpolietely said it was on them. So we got up and left and will not stop there again on our future travels and will not go to another Ruby Tuesday again as far as I'm concerned. I may have reconsidered going to another but I was sick all night after we got home and it was long 2 hour trip back home. I hope someone will do quality assurance check on the restuarant.

rotten food
It is a wonder this restaurant is still in business. Tonight we went there to join a birthday party. A couple of things to point a finger at was: Serving drinks with rotten lime fruit in them. NOT COOL. Second the food was burned. Cauliflower is supposed to be white in color but this was scrapped of the bottom of the pot, had a burned taste to it and was brown. OK we all know that this chain doesn't serve top notch food, but they are lucky we didn't get food poisoning. What a shame they don't take a pride in their service.

My sincere apologies for the recent experience you described at our Essex location. There are no excuses made and the quality of the food and drink you received was not to our standard. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention so that I can review it with the managers and staff. I'm sorry, but is this an attempt of giving a customer food poisoning? Or is it an attempt to make a customers feel "welcome back" for $10 so you can get a side dish and a drink? The side dish is a part of the whole meal and the price for that was double up. Who wanna go to the restaurant to buy a side dish and a drink? Are you kidding me. Refund the bill to make it right.

I went to Ruby Tuesday's on Sat Nov 26th I was there with my girlfriend and another couple to celebrate my birthday dinner. while there the host stated that they have a no baseball hat policy and pointed to a handwritten sign that stated there were no baseball hats allowed. I asked him why were there no hats allowed and he stated because there was an incident in southeast DC where several young black males committed a murder and then came into dine at Ruby Tuesday's, and they were all wearing baseball hats. We were all dressed in semi-business casual attire and were at a comedy event earlier, there should be no confusion with and anyone that would commit murder. We still asked to be seated and he seated us and while at the table the manager came over to us and asked me to remove my hat, I told him that first it is my religious customs to cover the crown of my head and that is why I wear a hat. second, I pointed out to him other patrons that were white and they were wearing baseball caps that he stated was forbidden. Third, I usually patron Ruby Tuesday's a few time a week and this is the first that I'm hearing of this policy, he stated that his is a corporate policy and and it is mandated. I replied to him I will not remove my hat and I will leave this establishment and I stated to him i feel as though he is singling me out because I look young and I'm black. Ruby Tuesday's is a good restaurant and i always loved it. However, after this embarrassing event I feel as my rights were violated and will never patron this restaurant again, and I will also file a complaint with the ACLU because I feel as though I was discriminated against and my civil rights were violated.

On 4/29/10 my husband and I went to have dinner at 5:30 PM. I asked the hostess for a booth. She sat us two booths away from the kitchen. It was not crowdwd therefor she had many other choices. It was so noisy and uncomfotable.
W e ordered our meals and salad bar. Before I sat down with my salad the main course was presented. I was very disappointed with the experience.
Last night (4/30/12) a friend & I went to Ruby Tuesday's to eat. We got a salad with our meal. She asked for crackers & I also asked for crackers from 2 different servers. Never got crackers. Our server was in too big of a hurry to be off work I guess. She told us we were her last table. There was only 2 tables occupied other than ours on that side of the restaurant. I paid with cash but my friend used her debit card. The server charged her debit card for both meals. My friend called the restaurant this morning when she realized what had happened. They didn't seemed concerned about it. They are crediting her account back, but I'm suggesting that your servers be more careful when charging on debits cards. This could cause major problems. Very disappointed with the service at this restaurant.
We went here for the 2nd time hoping it would be better than last time. It is amazing what a bang up job the TV commercials and the menus do with presenting the food! If there was just a small resemblance it might have been a ok meal. We want go back. We are fortunate to have many good restaurants that serve food worth eating
There are not many selections of restaurants in Jasper, and I decided to give Ruby Tuesday another chance as my past experiences there have not been good. There always seems to be an excuse that is given by the current wait staff (as they never last long there)...APPARTENTLY there is a reason and I would not blame it on the nonsmoking ordinance as I have been there before the law was passed and this is the first time since the no smoking rule and the service and food is still not what one would expect for the prices. First of all we arrived at 6:00 PM which is 30 minutes before the Happy Hour ends. We ordered a glass of wine while we made out dinner selection. I asked the wait person about bringing an additional glass of wine while the happy hour was in effect and she informed me of the tiny almost non existence fine print that stated you must sit in the dining area to have that option, even though we were ordering from the full dinner menu but decided to sit in the bar area. WE ordered dinner which was a $15.00 dinner item and when the bill came I was shocked to discover that the order for 2 glasses of "house wine" was $10.49 each. I have had dinner at many fine restaurants ( which I don't count Ruby Tuesday as one of) and it has been very seldom if ever that I have paid $10.49 for a glass of Cabernet especially one advertised as the house wine. The wait person should have explained that they did not have a "house Cab.". I paid for my food and wine, was not a great or even good dining experience, left a tip that was not quite deserved since nothing was explained up front) but will not choose to eat at Ruby Tuesday in Jasper again. I hate the 45 minute drive to B'ham but at least you have choices there and can eat at a much nicer restaurant with more atmosphere.
Jasper is not a town for a nice dining experience unfortunately, and Ruby Tuesday goes right along with that tradition but with prices that are unwarranted for their food, wine and service.

abuse of employees
I have been a customer at this particular Ruby Tuesdays a few times and witnessed abusive behavior by the manager there. She berates the employees in front of customers. One of the three times I visited with my family, we could hear yelling in the kitchen. When I asked our server what was going on, she admitted that the GM (I assume General Manager) was yelling at someone. I asked her if this was normal and condoned by Ruby Tuesday's corporate policy, she replied that it must be since it happened all the time and no one did anything about it despite complaints. This managers was using derogatory words to whomever she was speaking. It was awful. Since that incident, we have been two more times and she is very disrespectful and downright mean to her employees. This is what Ruby Tuesday's stands for, and our family (and as many of our friends as possible) will not be returning until she is either counselled and trained properly or is replaced. This is suppose to be a family restaurant. We were embarrassed for the employees who have always been kind.

out of order seating
My wife and I decided to dine at Ruby 10/21 evening. RT9 South Old Bridge NJ. The host advised us there will be a 5-10 min wait. OK. While waiting one of the couples that came after us had voiced their opinion of "why is there several empty tables yet there is a wait?" The male host has spoken to the other couple (inaudible most parts) and advised the lady it shouldn't be that long after the couple in front of you (us) is seated first.
The manager heard the conversation between the host and the couple and instructed the male host to take the concerned couple and seat them first. Soon as the couple was lead away by the host we approached the manager immediately and expressed to him our dissatisfaction with the poor choice of his to deal with the situation.He did acknowledge our concern and stated " we do have a table for you."
Well it was a bit too late. We made him aware that do to his poor choice we will never frequent the place ever again. It was the final drop in the bucket, The place was no longer appealing since the quality of both service and food was degrading little by little over time. Their salad bar that used to be great had fewer and fewer choices and no longer the freshest produce was made available.

Dear Ruby Tuesday Management,
Today, July 30, is my birthday.
I would like to complain about my visit today to your Corvallis, OR location.
I went to your website and printed out the coupon for a free birthday burger. My family and I went to lunch about 1:00PM. I gave the server the coupon when we ordered. Two of us proceeded to the salad bar. Shortly after we returned to the table, the server returned and said that they would not honor the coupon!
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at your restaurant today.
P.S. It took 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive.

I belong to several restaurants' "Birthday Clubs" and/or "Anniversary Clubs." Some are members of a chain and some some have only 1 location. They ALL require the showing of photo ID. That's a no-brainer. Anyone who goes to a restaurant without proper ID deserves to be denied.
obnoxious general manager
The general manager at this location is very disrespectful to his employees and rude to his guests. He is not fit to have his name on the front of the door as well as the title he has within the restaurant. He hires employees and do not properly train or train them at all. Business has declined from poor management. The service was great but the general manager is ridiculous. They're constantly out of supplies ranging from in the kitchen or the bathrooms. I would not eat at this location just based on his behavior that i witnessed on more than one occasion. I think something needs to be done about the general manager at this location as soon as possible. That is the only way i will ever step foot in that place again!

rude & inattentive waitress

I visited your Ruby Tuesday Restaurant in Marley Station Mall, Glen Burnie for the first time last night and encountered the most rude and inattentive waitress Michel T. When she came to take our order we had to tell her that we had not received menus yet & that began her hostile attitude. We had to ask the greeter to please have her come refill our drinks & when one of the kids said they had gotten cherry coke instead of coke we asked her to please bring her another coke we were told "that's what she got"... That coke turned out to be Mr. Pibb instead. We spoke to the manager Amanda at that point & she apologized and went to find out where our food was. Well that ony escalated her nastiness when she returned we were told we could just pay our check and leave. We spoke to the manager who apologized for her behavior and who gave us free dessert, but to be honest there was no excuse for her.
I have never complained about a waitress and never left without leaving a tip...but that was before last night. I paid $96.00 to endure the most rude, inattentive waitress that I have ever encountered & spent 2 hours enduring her hostile behavior. I left your restaurant knowing that I will never return due to the behavior of your employee...She is a reflection of your business.
I'm not sure if I reminded her of someone she hated, but since that was my first and last visit, I guess we will never know.

bar tenders spiking drinks with saliva
Me and some of my friends witness some of the most diguisting service from one of Bartenders. He personally took a customers drink back to the kitchen then came back smiling and stirring the glass. Once he reached the bar one of the kitchen workers peaked around the corner as if not to get caught. What is the purpose of making a drink behind a kitchen door then serving it to a customer.

All bar ingredients are @ the bar...if its made@ the bar its returned there...if its madein the kitchen, its returned there...reason being...created items are corrected @point of origin. ... so. The.spitting... I dunno. What to believe. Either way. I would have asked for a differnt drink if I'd seen my glass go to the kitchen...
There are certain ingredients that are in the kitchen for the drinks, but other than coke from the machine in the back vs the the bar area being stronger... mint leaves, cherries, etc... you make a very questionable point. I'd have to know more to tell you, but there aren't many reasons for doing so... maybe out of ice or something. Please tell me the drink wasn't yours?

The manager asked me to leave because I was a Tarheel fan and he was a Duke fan.I thought he was kidding.When he told me he wasn't, I asked him for the district manager number and he went to the back.I thought he was getting the number but instead he called the law.Alot of bad things happened after that.

I was present at the bar sitting next to this person she was whistling at the bartender with her 3 kids. The manager responded to complaints about the whistling and when the he confronted her she told him to f*** off so he asked her to leave politely and she refused. When the cops came she was forcibly removed from the restaurant then when she was outside she was arrested due to her drunkedness ans unruliness. Never was she asked to leave due to her being a tarheel fan his assistant manager was a tar heel fan.
general manager
General manager is drinking on the job!.. Bartenders serving him alcohol afraid that they will lose there job if they dont. The general manager at the latham ruby tuesdays is constantly getting drunk on the job. Basically being a friend of someone who works there you find out about the behind the scenes bs that goes on there. The place use to be great. Me and my family use to go there all the time. Even between the managers and the general managers that have been in and out of that place it still remained great. Do not go there now!.. General manager aaron is a drunk. Drinks on the job. And letting the place go. The kinda things I know he's been doing and the way the place is getting can get them in big trouble. They obviously dont care. You can't complain to anyone higher then general management without it getting back about who told. How can they let this guy be a general manager here.

We dined at you restaurant on Tuesday late afternoon. Wish we had not. My wife has severe head pain. For almost 3 years. I came in to ask if the music could be shut down a lot or off. Could we get a quiet table. The answer was yes. After being seated the volume was still very loud. The waitress said she would talk to the manager, Missy and said it would be shut down. Still no noticeable difference, I went to the bartender and he said he would take care of it. Still no change, we ate quickly and left never to go to your place again.
Why does a restaurant only offer one type of diet drink? What if you can't drink caffiene?
I had been employed at ruby tuesday in kannapolis north carolina for about six months . I no im not perfect everyone has there moments but i was a hard worker hardly ever called in sick, AND EVEN ON MY DAYS WENT IN WHEN THEY NEEDED ME . About a week ago i got a phone call from anthony stanley the general manager calling to imform me that i was fired . i am concidering takin this to the next level because it is not fair on my behalf . anthony and i have been having problems because one thursday i was supposed to be at court and he was refusing to let me leave work which is illegal to hold someone from court thenstarted complaining about how ive been getting sick to much at work and moody at which i try to maintain but its hard being pregnant . He has made several smartcomments towards me since ive been pregnant that i need to keep my legs closed ..use condoms and so forth . anthony has a huge problems when it comes to talking with the people that work for him including other managers, he's extremly bipolar and thinks because he's the general mamger he can treat people how he pleases and thats not how it should be . When he called to tell me i was fired he had told me that he and all the other managers got togther and had ameeting and they all agreed i should be fired at which he lied because i spoke to one of the managers and had no idea i was even let go . i dont believe i should have been fired what so ever i guess the matter goes from here
They also have minute maid light lemonade made with basically the same non-sugar sweetener used in diet drinks and they don't have any caffeine in them.
Okay, now this doesn't have to do with this about ruby tuesday. So who's ever out there explain to me why can a food & beverage manager can take sips of beer while working on the job, she's putting a bad example out for her employee's, Someone let me know who I can speak to about this situation before it get's out of hand, cuz she does this all the time in front of her employee's.
And who should I go to! I work at a golf course and there's camera's but she doesn't let them see her, she hids it, she cover's it up. She's been there for now 3yrs and she get's away with i, and a whole lot more.
Obviously this problem has not been addressed properly since the general manager in question still holds a position at ruby tuesday's in latham. I must admit that it seems pretty immature that there are people responding negatively to the person who has initially posted this complaint. Apparently they forgot what website it was that they have come to. The name of it is compaintsboard.com, meaning a place to complain about issues that you have a problem with. Apparently the problem that is occurring at the restaurant is going to have to have some other way to be properly resolved than this website or trying to discuss these issues with the higher ups in this corporation.
I don't know if or when the next time you see this will be, but you should talk to the EEOC it doesn't matter if it is an at will state or not. There are certain reasons you have an option to form a complaint against your company for. It doesn't matter whether you contact the HR dept at the corporate office or not. You need to act soon, as your time to file may end sooner than you'd hope for. The truth is this, most people don't file for several reasons... and don't let someone tell you your rights. All lawyers won't be up front, but if your case is due to discrimination due to your pregnancy you can file there. The ACLU is backed up with complaints and only take on the class action types now, but refer you to attorneys in your area who may be able to help... be it pro-bono, or what ever. Lets just say this... if you have anyone you worked with that can vouch for you and wouldn't tell the GM what your complaint against him was, you'll need that evidence. The EEOC does all the leg work for you at no cost, and mediation is the 1st step. You only have 180 days, and if an office is less than 50 miles away from you, try and go. It is up to you, but the thing is this goes on your record. Integrity now days is everything, with states at 9% or greater unemployment rates, you have entirely too much competition out there. You could still be rehired by the company at a completely different location, and the same director could approve of your rehire after the fact. If the manager will go on the record saying that they had no clue, then that's another story. The company may at that time take action against the GM (rare). Oh, I am in an at will state with my own charge against the company for completely different reasons.

steak and lobster mac & cheese
I went to ruby tuesday on 1-18-11 for a pickup order at 9601 vista way gardfield avenue. i purchased the steak and lobster mac & cheese. the food was not good it taste like old fish. the service was not that great and the portion was very small. i am a small person so it does not take a lot to fill me up. this was one of the worst experience i have had.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
