This law group is clueless! The woman I had dealings with AMANDA ROBERTS offered a 1/2 price deal to help my child fight for her rights to not see her molester.
WOAH! Watch out she is scam. She hates kids apparently. She only talked to my child 3 times and and went before the judge to to have her put in SOLE CUSTODY of a man who molested her. Taking my child away from me, because she said I was an unfit mom for trying to protect her and I was alientating her.
But since the guy molested my child and my child obviously hates him for it, and she barely knows him anymore as she has not had any contact with him for nearly two years, they (the court) could not put her in his home so they put her in a foster home instead. Now they are isolating her, not allowing me to have any contact with her. Not even a phone call.
This Amanda Roberts got on the witness stand told the judge a ton of lies. I fired her right there in the court room for her lies. Now she is trying to cause problems for my other two kids, and has turned the entire family upside down. This woman has serious issues. She needs psychological help. She should not be practicing law. She is a danger to anyone who walks in her door with children.
Stay away and warn everyone you know who may be looking for a family attorney in Nevada.
Amanda Roberts, I wonder how you would feel if someone did that to you and took your kids? Ummm, wait, you hate kids - scratch that.
It is a shame. Especially for the children caught in this mess. Contact the ACLJ maybe they can help.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I personally would recommend Amanda Roberts. My ex husband took my son from me for a year and I hired Half Price Lawyers, spent thousands of dollars and they didn't do anything for me. They were so stupid and unprofessional, they went against court orders so I fired them and hired Amanda Roberts. She got me my son back and that's all I wanted. Now, 6 years later, Im hiring her again to hopefully get full custody of my son this time.
Amanda helped me andd my daughter get out of a shelter. She was very protective of us when it came time to deal with my ex. I was able to get full custody and start my life over. Amanda was wonderful.
We've had the same experience with Amanda. She is horrible and actually lied on a few occasions. She had no plan, no recourse for anything and we never received any of the documents submitted by opposing counsel nor were we ever asked to review any correspondence with opposing counsel regarding our case. We had to follow up with her on more than one occasion to get answers, dates, court info, etc... and were billed for her replies (typical I guess). I would agree that she doesn't like or care about children at all and should def not be dealing with family law (or law altogether). The only rebuttal she should be standing and presenting is "would you like fries with that...?"
We completely lost our case for our son. She is incompetent and should not be in court in any regard except defending her own actions as an "attorney".
I disagree with these comments. I have had the pleasure of working with Amanda. I am currently working with her in a high conflict divorce case where my abusive husband is now playing the victim in court. Amanda has fought for me and my son. She replies my text messages, emails and calls me with updates. I would recommend her to anyone. And I do not believe you.
Shame on this mother for not protecting her daughter from this molester. We don't know the whole story or facts. This attorney is an excellent and caring person. I believe there is more to this than the writer is admitting.
Hmm theres seems to be more left out to the story.. Per my personal experience with Amanda I retained her services after I canned my previous attorney John A. Piet of Piet & Wright (now these are scammers). I had an uncontested divorce, which ment no fighting over property of belongings not even of our child (as i was to keep full custody and he skipped out of his sons life over 2 years ago). Easy peasy! except John and his staff gave me the run around month after month after month. I contacted Roberts Stoffel Family Law and spoke with Amanda. She listened to my case and my concerns, shes already filed with the courts, and Id say within less then a week i should FINALLY be divorced. Something my previous attorney lacked. I have already contacted the State Board of NV and filed a complaint against my old attorney. I advise anyone with a serious issue to do the same.
So Amanda won an uncontested, nothing to legally work out, just filing the paperwork, already basically a "won" case, a case that could not be lost unless you just did nothing at all and even then I would think you'd still win and she won the case... I think you could have done that yourself. Good job Amanda!
I disagree 100%! I had Amanda as my attorney and she was an Angel! She worked hard on my case and really cared about me and my children. She was quick to respond to my phone calls and emails, her staff is very helpful and friendly, and she help me stay calm at a crazy time in my life. I would recommend Amanda to ANYONE looking for a family law attorney.
There is obviously more to this case. If any lawyer fought against their client's interest they would be disbarred. I don't know the facts of this case but no judge would allow a lawyer to do something like this. If this story is untrue (which it clearly is) its defamation.
Dang, I really hate the fact that [censor] like this happening.

Truth Seeker, I would reccommend you file a formal complaint with the state board in your area.
Lawyers like this are dirt-[censor] people.

I too went through a similar situation, only dif was the lawyer and the judg were buddies, and I got it up the [censor] for having to pay the jerks lawyer fees.
TOO BAD OUR LEGAL SYSTEM IS SO SCREWED UP.
I hope this "Beeeeeeeech" see's where she messed up and takes it before the judge humbly and gets your child back home safely to you!
