Last November I went in to this paticular location and went and spoke to one of the staffing people there. I had a previous membership that was paid off in full and kept getting letters and phone calls about renewing the account. At that time I knew that I knew that I did not want to renew the account because I had the membership for three years and only went to the gym abou 40 times in those 3 years. So I decided that it may be best if I did a month to month plan that is easier to cancel when I decided not to go. The gentlman who signed me up told me that if I used my work address and I lived in Brooklyn that I should be able to cancel this account at any given time. So about a few days later I decided that I would not have been able to go to the gym and I wanted to cancel the membership. So I called and I was told that in order to cancel the membership I would have to send a bill that states my current address and I would just have to mail that in. Did I know that know I would be receiving phone calls about owing money to them and they are filing charges against me and when I called ballys they gave me the shaft and told me to call the collections agency. When I called the collection agency they were rude and nasty and they have no manners and I don't want to speak to them and then I called the attorney's office to try to make payment arangements my mother told me not to pay...
