This photographer is a rip off artist. It took me a year to get my photos and in the meantime she doesn't respond to you for months and months. She wants you to pay her in advance of her services and then for months you are wondering if you will get your pictures. I still to this day haven't received my album which was in my wedding package. Do not book her. She is not even a great photographer. The pictures were soso and I so wished I didn't hire her.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I think if we all get together and make more people aware of these photographers they can be exposed and then maybe we will at least get some closure. My husband and I are coming up to our two year anniversary and still have not heard a peep from Gena about our photos. It just makes me so sad.
We're in the same boat... Gillian Pottinger photographed our wedding in July 2012 with 2 other assistants including Gena. We filed a BBB compliant but they couldn't do anything. We also got a lawyer to write to her with no luck. I'm sad that we'll never get to see our photos but more pissed off that there's nothing we can do about it.
From what I understand her and Gena Davies Photography used to work together. I hired Gena for our wedding in August, 2012 and still haven't received my photos from her to date. She had limited contact with us after our wedding and kept making excuses. Then by March of 2013 she had disconnected her number and disappeared from Facebook. I'm lost as what I should do now and it's past the point of even taking her to court. Breaks my heart that we probably will never see our wedding photos.
I had to do a double take as I read this complaint and remind myself that I hadn't written it myself! I had almost the exact same experience with this photographer. My wedding was September 2011 and I still haven't received my photo album. She does not respond to my calls, texts, facebook messages, e-mails - you name it. I only once received a short reply from her new secretary Candy after I wrote an obvious complaint on her new facebook wall. I think she has even altered the name of her company now. Although I did like my pictures, I feel the aftermath has overshadowed any good parts of my experience with Gillian Pottinger and Rhembein Photography and has left me with a negative feeling towards her and her photography company. I wouldn't recommend her based on this.
