I was in hilton head last february and exchanged by coral reef timeshare for a membership in resorts anytime. I paid $4089 and resort anytime bought by timeshare for $3030 so my net cost would have been just over $1000. The $3030 cheque was supposed to be mailed to me within 60 days. I have not seen anything yet and my phone calls and emails have not been answered.

Does anybody know if resorts anytime is a scam? Did I loose all my money? Do I have any recourses?

Update by JohnRobi

I finally received the final payment for the $3030 amount owed me. Rodney Yurco from Resorts Anytime was very helpful in chasing the issue and getting it resolved.

we have not had any good luck with our timeshare... besides the yearly fees we pay monthly payment. can never find availability of when we want to go. I am not happy and i thought the "friendly" call we received was to iron our some differences so I accepted a date to meet with a rep and today found out that it was an appointment to see if we are interested in upgrades... they will not cancel or give my deposit back. can someone please share with me how to make this work?

I am going through the exact same problem with this company, to no avail. I joined in July 2013, I have been on three vacations since then, that I booked on my own through various websites, when I tried to book with them, I was told that they could not beat or match the price. I feel like I am paying them for nothing, ... I desperately want out of this contract, as I am on a limited income. I feel scammed, cheated and have broken trust. When I signed the contract they were with Monterey Financial Services (montereyfinancial.com) which has a 10 day contractual payment amount, which also charged you an extra $10.00 to pay online. Since, September 2015 they have contracted with Equiant, (www.equiant.com) and, now they want to flip flop and charge you a late fee of $15.00 if not paid on the direct due date, I have spoken with the representatives from Equiant, they are downright disrespectful, no care attitude and rude... The first late fee was accessed in September 2015, while they were in transition from Monterey Financial Services, I was told they had not received my payment on August 27, 2015. I then logged into Monterey Financial Services, printed out all my payments, and faxed to them my payments. Now, I have received a notice from them with $45.00 late fee charges, still saying that I owe the August 2015 payment of $66.25 and this month of $66.25, a total of $177.50. I am going to consult with an attorney, because this business is a ripoff. Thanks for reading... GOD BLESS YOU, vengeance is mine, saith the Lord, I will repay...

My family is currently involved in a lawsuit against Coral Resorts. There are at least 35 others that are involved as well with the same lawyers. Our lawyers are Naert & Dubois and they are right in Hilton Head. They've been great and if you call them they'll consult with you for free.

It is my understanding that Coral Resorts, Coral Reef, Resorts Anytime, Reba Management, Sun & Seas Vacations are all one in the same. The same bunch of crooks are running all of these and screwing people even more over and over! The whole group is a stain on the reputation of HHI! This place should be shut down! If I lived there, I would make it my mission to steer unsuspecting tourists away from these crooks! The former mayor acted as a lawyer for these people and was a paid witness when they went before the real estate commission! Now that he's out, I hope someone is making a point to rid the island of these scam artists!

I'm still working on this one and it's been four years. I've got an attorney that I'm going to be talking to tomorrow. Looks like they've been in court with this company and Coral Resorts for awhile now. Sounds like the shell game with both of these companies keeping their "customers" in the dark. If I ever figure out how to beat this scam I'll be sure to post it so we can all get our money back.

Resorts anytime is a JOKE! I'm trying to figure out how are they still in business? I went there in 2012 and had a misleading representative name Jason. After leaving there and talking with my family no one thought this was legit or a company worth investing in. I went back the next to cancel and signed a form and he shredded my contract only to later get a bill from a collection agency stating I owed them over $3000! I called back the receptionist was rude and then she transferred me to Rodney Yurco who wouldn't answer so I called from a different number and he picked up. Needless to say he doesn't know Jason either and states there's nothing he can do and I need to contact the people in collections. So I told him I don't want any of their mail coming to me and he replied "Oh I will stop it as of today"...hmm all in the same sentence he tells me he cant help me with anything from Jason because its based on my conversation and he can't locate what I'm talking about? WOW double standards this is a company I wouldn't want my worse enemy to become a victim to because they're liars and very rude when you call for help. If anyone knows how I can get this crap off my credit and out of this that I've never used please reply. Also I never knew anyone could place things on your credit without your SS#. I only submitted my date of birth and name. Jesus help us ALL!

I agree, I was on vacation four years ago and fell for this scam and I'm still trying to get it cleared up. I was already a member of another time share company who I was happy with. When I mentioned this to Resorts Anytime they said that they would pay off that package so I could go with them. I was fine with this since their offer included cruise options. They had me put a down payment of $450 and that I would receive my billing information in the mail a few week later. I was also told that it would take a couple of months for the funds to sweep over to the new company. After a couple of months I called my previous company and was told they hadn't been paid. When I called Resorts Anytime I was told that they didn't do this and had no idea what I was talking about. The person that I'd signed up with didn't work there anymore and that I owed them the full amount. I was then told that I had waited to long to cancel. It was very interesting that they wanted me to wait the two months which to me was their way to keep getting my money. Now it's on my credit report, they have turned it over to collections with Montery Financial. When I talked to Rodney about working out a settlement I was told he couldn't do that I needed to deal with Montery. When I talked to Montery I was told that Rodney had e-mailed them an amount he was willing to take. Sounds fishy to me. I'm still going to continue fighting with them to get this cleared off my credit report. I've contacted the BBB in three states, the Hilton Head Chamber of Commerce and anyone else that will listen. I've also contacted my local Att Generals office warning them about this company. At this point I feel I've paid them enough to money to have my credit ruined.

For the most part, I agree with the majority opinions expressed here that Resorts Anytime is a big scam. My wife and I fell victim to their lies a year ago only to realize it after trying to find the wonderful deals to be virtually non-existent. Now we have a monthly fee and annual membership fee to their henchmen, "Monterrey Financial". I would like to pay them a visit the next time I'm in the area to sit down for another pitch and then tell every potential victim in the place about their lies...or worse. I'm also suspicious of the couple of "satisfied customers" who chimed in earlier on this post. Are they really telling the truth, or are they Resorts Anytime associates trying to rebut the damaging discourse? I smell something rotten in here and it ain't the cheese. Just saying...

Wow its amazing to see just how many people this company has raked over the coals. I wish I could have read some of these experiences with resorts anytime before they suckered me into this scam. The salesman filled my wife and I with a bunch of garbage and lies now we are stuck making monthly payments for absolutely nothing. How is this company still in business? I'm down with the class action lawsuit!

we got lucky, we didn't give them any money because we found out we would still owe for our maintenance fees plus our new membership. We were flat out lied to, now some finance company called Monterey financial services calls day and night harassing us. I will not use a company that lies to my face, time to get a lawyer, please people, stay away from these crooks!

Lies, lies and more lies. They have a very slick presentation and are careful not to give you any figures in writing. The information packet comes 12 days after you can back out. If I had time to spare I would picket their office and gently let people know just what they are in for.

We did not sign up for anything to do with timeshare, but enrolled as members in the club. After trying it out, we realized that none of the great deals promised were real. They gave us a flier about a "free cruise" which turns out to cost as much or more as other cruise deals available (about $400 minimum). We were also promised condo rentals for $159/week and there are none of those as well.

I recently went to HHI and bought the smallest membership with NO trade of a timeshare. We did the payment plan, so we have only paid a small amount and thinking this is just a scam, so we MAY try to get out of it...any positive or negative feedback...ESPECIALLY about the beach house they offer for $500 for the week?

My friend and I purchased the REsorts Anytime vacation deal in 2009. We had no luck booking one of the fabulous condos for $299 like we were promised. We did book one in 2010, only it was for $750. It was not beautiful or even clean. I have complained and even contacted the BBB. Our money is gone for good. I initially asked for a complete return of what we had paid.

I also traded a time share in and was told from the salesman Doug what I paid was all I would pay. Then when I got home they called from the title company I owed them more money. I tried to book a place and it took them over a week to get back with me and then it was $300.00 more than what I could get one myself. I have called and e-mailed them my concerns and want my money back, lots luck with that. Don't care about the time scare. If I never ever see or hear about time scare or better deal again is fine with me. They haven't returned calls or e-mail just another ripe off. I am making sure everyone I know DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THEM. Wish I would of seen this site befroe I went to Hilton Head. The State or City should have some course we could take it gives them a bad name.

I have just recently become a victim of Resorts Anytime...I feel so violated and taken advantage of. They have cleaned my bank acct out of $400 in the last 2 days. Rodney Yurco promises to send me a confirmation e-mail stating my meembership has been dissolved and my refund is on the way but has failed to do so. I am very hurt and don't know who is above this man Rodney Yurco who kept cutting me off on the phone and telling me to shut up.. I was appauled they had taken out money from my acct without being authorized to do so..I even have paperwork stating my next charge wouldn't be till July 24th... I really need help contacting someone above him because now when I call the office they hang up on me or place me on hold and than hang up. I am disgusted that peoplelike this exist and shocked that anyone could work for such a terrible company. I am praying that he will refund my full $400 so I can make my rent this weekend.

I visited Hilton Head Islands in May 2011 and after a presentation with Coral Resorts, a disappointed sales rep led us to the close out station where we were offered a Vacation Membership with Resorts Anytime. We were shown a website of luxurious destinations and resorts--no deed and no points, just wholesale rates on resorts and condos. We thought this was a great deal and puchased the membership. After receiving access to the website, we realized we had been scammed. There were not nearly as many options for destinations and the resorts and condos were no cheaper than going directly through the resort. I did some research and found that the cruises are priced above the Cruises Only rate by over $500.00 even though Resorts Anytime guarantees the lowest rates! Rodney Yurco has not returned my calls or emails and once I finally got him on the phone, he refused to accept the misrepresentation of their services and relinquish me from the contract -- even though their policy of three days does not give you a chance to review the website since your log-in information is not sent until 15 days later.

I am fighting this as we speak and talking with a lawyer. If anyone has been successful in getting your money back, please let me know. I am doing all I can to make sure everyone knows that Resorts Anytime is a rip off!

We bought in Nov.of 2010. They promised to sell our Bluegreen we owned within 3 months and that sale price was to be put toward our Coral Resorts property. What a misrepresentation! they turned it over to Time Share Partners and no such luck in selling it, We now have two which we cannot afford to keep up! What a scam! The agent Patrick Budnick felt so bad he offered us a free week stay with golf at Hilton Head. Any class action suits pending we would like to be included. clkwahoo@aol.com reply to

I too traded in two timeshares in 2010 and my experience was flawless. My husband and I are so relieved to be out the maintenance fees since we heard The resort had a $1000 assessment per deed. The maintenance fees were already nearly $900. we took a vacation to St. Maarten for spring break and couldn't have been more pleased. We had tried to exchange there for a few years but nothing was ever available. The two bedroom in March at the Sapphire Beach CLub cost us almost $600. Which is a lot less than the maintenance fees, RCI dues and exchange fees we would have paid IF we had gotten the exchange. We have also used the website for several hotel stays and I was very pleased with the prices. Resorts ANytime has worked out well for us and being able to replace our timeshares for it was the best for us.

We purchaced Resorts anytime in june 2010. Traded in two weeks we were not using but were paying maint. fees on. Apparently the deeds were transfered as we recieved no maint. billing in january 2011. We have also taken two vacations with the program both were less $ than any internet deals. Seems it works well for some. Satisfied in florida.

My husband and I agree that Resorts Anytime is in business to take advantage of unhappy Island Links Coral Resorts customers. There is nothing they offer for $4000+ that can't be accessed cheaper elsewhere! Plus, there IS a yearly membership fee.

well i was down in hhi and my husband and i purchased in oct 2010. We have since taken three amazing vacations. No exchange fee nor did we pay any maintenance fee. The 5500 we spent on the club has already been made up in savings. I guess i'm the only "lucky one".

Rodney Yurco did call me back. He explained the need for a copy of my deed for the timeshare. I had to contact the county courthouse that I purchased the timeshare circa 1995 to get one and they are not sure they can find it, but at least the ball is in motion. Stay tuned...

I am just starting this path. I signed up w/ Resorts Anytime on July 4th, 2010. They supposedly purchased my timeshare in the North GA mountains. Just received the Maintenance Fee agreement from the timeshare. Contacted them to ask a/b the unit having been purchased, only to find out they never received any buyout info from Resorts Anytime.

Have called Rodney Yurco and left message for him and my salesrep Evan Berg. I will provide follow-up as soon as I know more. Stay tuned.

Thanks very much for this information. We went through the presentation and decided to check the company out on line before joining. We definitely will not join at this point. In the past we were lied to by Coral Resorts but ended up getting all of our money back. As a bonus we were able to help several others get their money back in the same way. It looks like everything associated with Coral Resorts is a scam. They make the "Resorts Anytime" plan look very tempting but I will save my money thanks to the people on this website that shared their experiences.

If you're referring to Resorts Anytime license agreement to access their "propriatery condo/resort web-site", then it's has nothing of value they claim. The same resorts and condos are available at no cost at all thru travel agency web-site and on many occasions the price per week is lower and the info about resort / condo is more detailed and complete. Unfortunately, was able to find this out only after receiving the access to Resorts Anytime web-site. So, BEWARE and don't become a victim!

I agree with the two comments above. I did a similar thing Traded in 3time shares weeks and paid them $4250, I was told by someone in the industry that they do not take your timeshares over and come January you still have to pay the maintenance fees.I returned and asked for my timeshare back and they said with pleasure but you can not get your money back.I have tried to get my money back and now have a lawyer investigating it. he thinks it is a scam.

I would call Coral Reef management and see if they ever even got any paperwork for it. Them you would know if the deal was legit or not.
