I too purchased a 5 year extended service plan, although my camera isn't broken, I wanted to get it serviced. Wold wide coveage, yea righ. Guess I can't now and I am out the money for it.

Southern Photo Technical Service is a Authorized Service Center for CANON. Unfortunately, the warranty company "Repairtech Inc." that was responsible for your warranty went out of business at the end of 2008 and there is no one to pay for your repairs.

We are here to help assist with your repair needs!! We work with the retailers that sold these warranties and get them to pay as much of your repair cost as possible as a "good will" gesture for their customers.

Please include a copy of your proof of purchase!!!
We will examine the equipment, contact the retailer and negotiate a repair settlement with them, and contact you before any repairs are made.

Please include a copy of your proof of purchase!!!
Bring it in, or
Pack your equipment securely and insure it properly.

this is the responce I got when I called Time2envy about the repair tech warranty. Not sure if even this company is legit. I dont think I will trust my broken camera with them on the <hope> that time 2 envy will even begin to share in this expense. Next time its best buy or sears or walmart and not ebay. at least i can walk in there and find them . I plan on posting this on ebay front page and let others know. That s about all I can think about doing.
