Rent To Own Lost my money

Avoid doing business with www.renttoown.org! I have signed up for a 7 day free trial and later was charged.
They automatically signed me up for their so called membership and charged me $50! I never allowed them to take my money. And now they say that I agreed and allowed them to take the money. I never did that! They said they can cancel my membership if I want but they will not be able to refund my money. Total scam! I lost $50 thanks to these cheaters!

did the same to me Alicia, actually did it on Christmas day and my bank said there was no information on the charge (phone number, company address, email address). So, I empathize with you.

Rent To Own Taking money from my acct without approval

I notified my bank that I had a charge on there from Rent To Own for $29.95, and I had not authorized, or agreed to any charge of this amount to be taken from my bank account. The bank told me to come in and file a fraud claim and I want to know what else I can do. Apparently, from the information I gathered on the Internet about this company, they had a lot of complaints about the very same thing I am stating. They are a dishonest and fraudulent company with misleading information. I could not afford even a charge of $29.95.

I have the same problem, and, in my case, they dipped into my account taking a dollar first and then after seeing that there was money in the account, they took another $49.00.In October our landlady gave us an eviction notice (changed last month and don't have to move), and I was looking for somewhere to move, I came across an ad for their company. after being contacted by phone I found that they did not want to guide me into a rent to own home, but were trying to get me into a credit relief program (witch I don't need) or reefer me to a college to further my education (I already have a BS in Business information technologies with a major in business management and on top of that I have a diploma in medical billing and coding neither of which has gotten me a job yet) so I told them to cancel me from their services but continue to get spam calls from them. for the past two months they continue to harass me, and my bank said that there is no phone number or other contact information with the charge to my bank account, but they are willing to go after them for a fraudulent charge to my account.
