Same old story, first the receiptionist behind glass window, then the directors and the fun they have at our expense.

Thanks to informed people posting here, I survived. If you still want to check it out, go there, have the Level 1 discussion, ask a lot of questions. See if you get concrete answer for any of your question.

They will desperately try to push you to attend the Level II discussion (with the partner !) .

If after all that your gut feelings permits to associate with them, blame no one latter as you are making an informed decision. And hope you survive without much damage.

Sorry for those guys who have burnt their fingers already.

Hello All,
I was called for an interview by TPS associates. The first interview went as everybody in this page described. Thanks to the reviewers posting in this page, I did not attend the second interview. such an impolite, and desperate attitude I noticed in the first meeting by Steven D. Fischer.

Got a call from Emma? Says she likes my resume and would like me to come in for appointment. Ask if recruiter she say no where a proffesional employment service and if she could confirm appointment. Went in last week Tuesday and met with Steven fisher. He's a slimy greasy looking Jew with a cheap suit. As soon as I saw him I knew something was off. But never judge a book by its cover. BEWARE JUDGE THIS BOOK BY ITS COVER! They asked me to bring in my wife for a second interview did I? Hell no it's a scam! This grease ball didn't even pay attention to anything I had to say it's like he's so scripted... They are worse than recruiters! THEY CALL BLOCKED! And the phone person had a very attractive and friendly voice, sounded very professional ... Office is professional but this Steven Fischer not so much, if your that busy and make that many people happy why are you wearing a cheap thrift store suit? BEWARE THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!

Met a representative last week with TPSAssociates. His name is Steven (forget the last name). He is very concerned why my wife was not there with me at the second meeting. The "marketing" strategy Steven presented kind of make sense, until all the way at the end the most interesting part takes place --> fee structure. The fee is not listed anywhere, but written down by pen. A 3 year term, 2 year term and 1 year term working with them, with no guarantee of job, costs a few thousand bucks. Is this place/guy a SCAM I am not sure, but definitely "buyer beware".

Steven D. Fischer on 1st Yonge Street... I met him today for an "interview". Based on my experiences in other interviews, this interview was very strange. During the meeting, the questions and his body language were very suspicious, so I searched some information in Google and luckly I found this site. Second interview with my wife...STUPID..SCAMMER..

I recently went to an "interview" with a company call TPS Associates. They found my resume and wanted to discuss potential employment opportunities they have lined up.Right away, a slimy looking man greets me and we head off to a meeting room. He starts off by saying he sees 10-15 people a day. Only 3 make the cut as an ideal "fit" candidate. Funny, if there were that many people scheduled, I would figure there would be at least 1-2 people waiting at the reception. Nothing.

During our meeting, of course he told me I made the cut. Yay. I was told that TPS has a very high success rate at finding people jobs at the executive level. When asked if they are a headhunting company, the man just said they are more of a "marketing" company. They have vast underground networks of connections to hidden executive level jobs that not even the headhunters could get a hold off. Of course. I was told that they would make me extremely marketable for a small fee. Something that would not put me in financial strain. However no amount was given. When I ask what type of services they would provide to me, the man said, and I kid you not, "extremely valuable service". And that was it. I told him that it doesn't sound right that I have to pay them money immediately since they can not guarantee a job. He then goes on telling me that they are like real estate agents. They work on a small commission fee. Funny thing is, real estate agents only make the commission once they help a client sell or find a house. Unlike these clowns. What a loser.

Eventually I was asked to come in a for 2nd interview. This time with my wife. My wife? "This should concern her since this is a about you" was the reply I got when asked why I need my wife to be there. Its not like I am going to a swinger's party. At that point the only thing in my mind was getting the heck out of this scamming place. Thank god my instincts were on high alert. It doesn't take a genius to see through the shenannigens. I just wish something could be done to these scums.

A heads up to anybody: the company is now called TPS Associates. They are at 1 Yonge Street. The man goes by the name Steven D. Fischer.

Friend of mine borrowed my MetroPass today and while returning it, I asked him purely out of idle curiosity where he had gone as this is the first time he has asked for it not on a Friday.
He told me about their spiel and when he mentioned the spouse request, I was confused until I thought for sure that it was a pyramid scheme and thats why they wanted the spouse present.
Asked him to Google it and see if he could find anything and an e-mail from him with a link to this message board showed up within 5 minutes or him leaving my desk.

Their new name is Toronto Pathways and have a website at www.torontopathways.com

Needless to say, he wont be going back.

Also, I wouldnt hold out hope of them doing anything in Canada.
A company like this wouldnt last more than a couple of months south of the border, but here they are in heaven.

Just got a call 10 minutes after applying for a job on Monster. Sounded like a script.

"We have fully reviewed your resume and application, our senior recruiter Stephen MacDonald would like to meet with you tomorrow afternoon at 350 Bay Street, Toronto."

I asked the usual... "For which job?"... became evident it was just an answering service type company. I didn't make any meetings, sounded fishy. Came to Google and found all these comments. Glad I didn't waste the trip downtown! :)

Thanks for all your comments!

I am a victim of this scam ...I desperately need the help with job search ...and I signed the contract, despite my husband's advice not to sign it before to find out more ...
I don't know what to do know...I hope to find a job and try to pay the debts. I am still not sure where to go to make a complain...
Any advice will be truly appreciated ...

As this outfit has just contacted me, my opinion of the Canadian government's ability and willingness to protect people from scams is not very high. Complaints about this "company" have been made for over a year--with no action from the Canadian government. I guess somebody in the Canadian government got paid off.

I'd say go for the second interview, get whatever documentation you can in your hands, don't sign it, take it and just get up and leave as quickly as you can. At least that way someone would have a copy of this contract to share for further investigation. I would then file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada about them collecting protected/private data without first disclosing the true nature of its collection; and then file a complaint with the Competition Bureau of Canada online since Job Success is using false testimonials (including the Government of Canada logo) on its website. I can confirm that this bureau is already investigating this company and additional complaints will certainly help.

I have an interview with Mr. Stephen R. MacDonald on July 30, 2010 at 9.00 AM at 350 Bay St. The same story as described above: "Bring your wife, the IT market is so hot now!" It made me think immediately that either Mr. Stephen R. MacDonald or myself are mad.

I wonder if there is a way to prosecute and hang these agents. I could imagine some poor wreck stole your wallet and then he would get his term within a few months. All these guys are looking just fine doing their "business" .

Any ideas? I still have a second interview appointed. Maybe I could invite some police investigator as my wife? Any suggestions?

I thought I would add my experience to further alert those that are even considering anything with RDG International or Job Success at 350 Bay Street 9th Floor, Toronto Ontario. I received the perbervial e-mail from N. Robertson of Robertson agencies boasting of my experience and requesting my permission to forward my resumé on to his colleagues seeing he was not from my area. I have since had his IP address traced as they are obtaining personal information ilegally. My call came from a Susan however when I attended my interview it was with William Kim the director. Believe it or not, there was nothing out of the ordinary about the interview and he conducted himself in a most professional manner. Seeing that I do not have a significant other, I was not asked to bring anyone and thought nothing strange about our meeting. I did a great deal of thinking, but did not do my due diligence prior to my next meeting but was still curious as to how they received their fee. When I approached the subject that is where it started. He left me alone with the documents and the extraordinary fee. When he returned I started with my quesioning. I asked him just how on earth he would expect me to provide him with a $4500.00 retainer when I am a single mother trying to further my career? They must be getting desparate as he renegoiated their retainer down to $1500 and only $2000.00 over the course of a year. I continued with my negoiating asking him question after question about his confidence in my abilities. I suggested that if he was that confident he could place me for the salary expectation set out in the agreement he should have no worries about receiving his fee after my job placement was guaranteed. He then went into company protocol and that was the red flag. Another red flag was the fact that these documents where makeshift forms, nothing pre printed with their logo on it, simply a print out of some cheap immitation. Being a freelance graphic designer I pay close attention to the professionalism of one's stationery. He then asked me to think further on the subject and I requested to take the forms with me. When you question them repeatidly you throw them off kilter. When I left I then seeked the assistance of a good friend who did a fraud investigation whereby noting they are under legal scrutany. A wise man once said...if it's too good to be true...it probably is !

I too was contacted by the people at Job Success (RDG Careers) on Bay St. Toronto. It started with an email from n.Robtersonagencies. I looked up their website to find only a single page with a standard job hunt blurb. Anyone could have done it. I was curious with the signature as n.robertson. No first name. Simply wanted permission to forward to recruiters. That is odd. Seeing that they found it on a website any recruiter could have looked at. Then the phone call saying that they found my background to be very interesting and would like to meet with me. First thought was they were recruiters. So, why not. I went to their office and met them. I met with a Steven Fisher who said I was very employable. Wanted to know if I felt I needed their services. I said that I may and made a second appoint with my wife. I was thinking that this was all very strange but he did say somethings of interest so I thought I would still hear them out. Personally I think they prey on people how have been out of work for sometime. Met with Steven Fisher a second time. My wife was with me. Talked again at how employable I was went through their process. When I asked specifically what gaps he felt I had in my background he avoided the question by saying it will be determined by the expert. Another redflag. He did not know my resume that well. Any good recruiter would have noted gaps. Then he was very interested in my severence package. I avoided disclosing ad he kept coming at various angles. When I requested a price quote he was all prepared with a contract. Then he excused himself out of the room like one of those old style car salesman. Returned and said are you ready to sign. Asked more questions so he made up some excuse and left the room. Radflag after redflag. I said that we will take the contract home as well as the services page to evaluate. He said that we could not because it was a legal document. "Red Flag" It isn't legal if it isnt signed. He wanted that signature there. My wife said that we would take it home and courier it. Nope. Had to be at the office. Red Flag. Next morning I did some hunting because I was suspicous of this outfit.

Thanks all who have contributed. It confirmed. It is difficult to beleive that such organizations exist. I amsure they offer some service but ot up to what would be expected. Otherwise why would they resort to such tactics like n.robersonagencies and the cryptic home call etc to get business.

Well, I was approached by nrobertson of Robertson Agencies this week saying he/she was 'impressed' by my resume and could they forward it to colleagues who were more 'in my area'. Then today I received a phone call for an interview with"Job Success" at 350 Bay St, 9th flr. I agreed to meet with Mr Stepehn Fisher, this coming Monday. But since I had the time to do so, I googled "Job Success" - their new name, apparently, and found this forum. I have now called back and said I did not want to be represented by their type of company.
Thanks to all who posted - and beware! Glad to have missed the wasted hour and 'pitch'!

Hello All,
Same old thing with me, I got an email last week by a person "Nelson Webber" who appearently sent me resume to RDG or Job Success for an interview. Yesterday I got a call to come in and meet with these executives about a potential position in Human Resources. I went today for the interview, and also saw William HG Kim. He wants me to come in with my Finacee on Friday for a second interview, which was very suspious.
I looked them up last night on the net and could not really find anything about them but there RDG came up as well with the same address etc. After looking for them on the internet they go by two company names Job Success and RDG Careers. I even ask him if this is a scam because it seems too good to be true, and he just looked at me and laugh.
I knew it was to good to be true, and thankfully I have listened to my hubby (after a serious discussion about these people).
Thanks for the feedback guys and I'm sorry to hear that some of you have given money to these people.

I was contacted by them last week, and actually made an appointment for saturday, with my husband. It's true they are using job success now. I thought it was weird that I could not find anything about them on the internet. I got contacted by nrobertson@robertsonagencies.com also not much on internet about them.

When I went for my interview on 350 Bay Street, I noticed that it said on the building RDG Careers, and then started to look on the internet.

Thanks to all of you who posted comments. They definitely take advantage of the hard working conditions that inmigrants have when they come to Canada!

I went to that place last Friday and got the same promises as other people on that list. My interviewer was William H. G. Kim “Senior Career Director”. This guy quite professionally pretended to be an honest and professional. The only thing is that myself being an experienced sales person, I felt his strong sales attitude and didn’t see any HR knowledge. At the start of the first interview, they've got various questioners to fill in order to "assess" your sellable attitude. All the question were actually oriented to check how desperate you are to land a job. At the end he requested to schedule a 2nd interview with your spouse and promised to make some market research about my full potential. That all looks and feels like a BIG SCAM.
A few days earlier, friend of mine went for the second interview and he was requested to pay 75% of the job search fee of $5.5K right on the spot, even before they’ve done anything. They were promising 120k salary for a QA professional at a full time position! Which is very far from unachievable on the actual market!
At the bottom line, that is a SCAM. Be aware of that and don’t waste your time!

Met today with Steven D. Fischer B.A. at RDG Careers at 350 Bay Street, Level 9, Toronto, ON. Phone [protected] (www.rdgcareers.com)

All I can say is everything I have just read is true. I recall having visited Bernard Haldane Associates when I emigrated to Canada - Same story.

I feel dumb for having been sucked in, but again I was given the impression that this was a head hunter. I will not be paying their little fee for "keeping the lights on". These guys make timeshare salesmen look good!

Needless to say neither myself nor my partner will set foot on Level 9!

Thank you for these postings. I too was contacted by a William Baxter who said he retreived my resume off monter/workopolis and although had no positions for me he wanted to forward my resume to his associate in Toronto. I said yes as in a time of no job you get a little desperate and are open to anything. I was contacted by phone by a woman who wanted to set up an interview (not the actual recruiter as it usually goes). I asked what the position was she was calling about and she avoided the question. I was away from my computer so couldn't see my schedule and I asked her to email me her contact details and I would get back to her. She said she didn't have an email address and I needed to call back. I found that weird.
As soon as I entered the office at 350 Bay St for my interview I immediately noticed the beautiful solid wood desk my interviewer William Kim had. This was an extremly wealthy office. He asked me a few questions but nothing really about my skills, just about what I'm looking for in a job. He said he believed I would be someone RDG could take on as their company is very "exclusive" and that the candidates (he actually referred to them as "clients") were RDG's number one priority.
We then went through the invitation for the 2nd interview where he wanted my partner to be present. I said I'd have to get back to him as I didn't know his schedule. My partner thought it was pretty insane so I googled RDG and found all this information.
It's too bad that we have to live in a suspicious society and there are guys like this are around. Thank you to all the other posters who just saved me $5000. I never called them back.

How you guys can believe some one to pay you 5000 dollar to get a job. Have you ever been told during your study that you have to pay some one to get job. I did attend one similar interview when I came to Canada in 2002. within first 10 min I figured out that its a scam. Remember if in doubt always ask questions and its very easy to figure out if some one is genuine.
Yesterday I had a call again..I asked if I could have their website..and the gav me some other website.. it immidiately struck me and I phoned her back and canclled my appointment.

As a job seeker YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY ANY ONE..even your job search firm..they get paid by the employer not by the employee.

I had an interview today at RDG. I applied to Baxter and got am email from William Baxter saying he cna forward my resume to his associate in Toronto. I agreed. When I went there I was suspicious at how they go around asking what kind of help I think I would need. Half an hour later they claim they could help me bu I would have to bring my wife to the next meeting.
Thanks God for the internet and you guys. You just saved me $5, 000

I had an interview (2nd) with Hameed yesterday and was forced to bring my fiancee. I had questioned him prior to this meeting as to why she needs to attend because we found it very odd and it's also tough on her since she owns a business. Regardless, we went there and he went on and on about the services they provide and at some point, I looked over to my fiancee as if to say this is too good to be true. Right at that time, she interupted and asked him how they made their money to which he replied "the employers".

So we kept listening to his sales pitch which got very confusing and repetitive and to keep the story short, he continuously said that the costs are covered by the employer. Then at the very last possible second he brought out the sheet of paper detailing the price I would have to pay for their "service". We told him that we'll think about it but he wasn't impressed and to be frank, neither were we.

I sent him a nasty email today with links to all the google "scam" results pertaining to RDG. I hope I dont come across that guy on the streets one of these days!

I am also a victim of RDG careers. I was cheated by Hameed and old man Murray. They financed me 5000$ for 36 months. Now I have to pay then more then 200$ per month without even visiting them. Its useless to visit Murray because he knows nothing about I.T field.

I was there today with my wife and experienced the same pressure tactics put forward by a person named M.A.Hameed. He had told my wife to bring me along for the second interview. We started believing it to the point where, he was talking about the process of getting a client to the right job opportunity. How ever he started losing credibility when he declined to let us start the procedure later after we take time to think about it. Well to be frank..he was not a good sales person...so I didn't like his attitude. The force sale attitude got the better of me to decline the contract. Me being a marketer have been told, never to force a product which he did..so we declined, stating that we cannot pay $ 4200 now and that we would get back to him on a later date. He showed his displeasure about it but we stood our ground and came off, to check on the internet, we came across the scam.
Thank you very much to all, who volunteered to share there experience and to all those who might get caught in to the future...if you read this before going to the second meeting...Please be wise...and don't bother going...It's a bloody scam !

I don't know if we have a chance to retrieve our money but at least we can prevent people from losing money and being cheated

I was scammed by these guys. They were called Bernard Haldane Associates way back in 2001. Went to the same office at 350 Bay Street for my first interview. They asked me to come back for the second interview with my wife. We went together and were told there will be cocktail parties and networking meetings with senior executives from top companies. They told us I could double my income. We believe them and paid $5000 by Credit Card. While we were waiting in the lobby waiting with my wife, there was this old guy, Murray Nahnybida spying and looking at us through the window to kind of assess us. These scam artists took advantage of job seekers vulnerabilities. I never got a job through these cheats. These guys are lairs and thugs. They should be sent to jail.
