Fraud and cheating!
Complaint Rating: 71 % with 7 votes
Company information:
Raven Media
United States
Phone: 866-396-5695
www.raven-media.com

I send for Raven media's 'Growing Rich With Google' and was told I only had to pay the $1.89 shipping fee. I was told that IF I wished to use this product I would be billed 29.95, IF I didn't cancel after the trial period. Two days after I received the CD I promptly canceled my membership, because what I read did not interested me. This was 2 months ago. Since then my credit card has been charged TWICE and not for the $29.95 I was told, but for $39.95! I have tried contacting Raven Media about this at 1-866-396-5695. The first time I called I was on hold for 45 minutes, I got tired of waiting and hung-up. I've tried repeatedly since then and have been told this is no longer a working number.

I have contacted my bank and asked that they look in to this and see if they can stop payment and block these guys from getting anymore from me. I am in hopes that this can be resolved without having to get a lawyer. I work hard enough to get what I have and don't think it's right that someone is sitting in front of there computer and ripping-off honest people. to me, this gives the HONEST Internet businesses a black eye.

Typical situation. Doesn't anybody get their facts right before they post? I am sick and tired of hearing from american citizens shouting off their mouths on my contact form: www.raven-media.com From now on, anybody, anybody at all that gobs off will get sued. Try getting facts straight and stop attacking innocent people. I know your president doesn't follow this example but there is no for you not to.

I beg your pardon, sir. Sick of American citizens complaining of a company that is regularly stealing money and circulating personal information amongst their "sub-companies"?

If the e-mails are sent to you by error, I must apologize for poor judgement on the side of those who have been ripped off. Unfortunately, although your "Raven Media" may not be the culprit, obviously you must be aware there is a very sad association for you as the Raven Media we are complaining about has bilked money illegally from hundreds if not thousands of people. Instead of responding with such insult, why don't you try a bit of your "stiff upper lip" and see things from the other side. Threatening lawsuit to anyone that makes an honest error isn't what one could call good business practice. You should have your priorities straight before gobbing off.

I apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the services you've been receiving from our company. There are no commitments with the free product. However, there is a bonus free trial period to membership websites that accompanies the free CD and we do our best to disclose this as it is stated 4 times throughout the ordering process - on the sales page, the order page, the confirmation page and in the confirmation/thank you email, it is then also explained in the 1st paragraph of the Terms and Conditions of the offer. We offer the trial periods to give our clients a chance to use the service and see the value of it for themselves before they are billed for it. The trial periods are free for 7-30 days from the order date depending on which bonuses apply. We would not have charged you had you called customer service and canceled during the trial period. It is not our desire to bill clients who do not want the membership after the free trial offer.

For customer service you may call 866-396-5695 and they'll be happy to cancel your account. If you've already tried our customer service department and feel like you weren't treated fairly please contact me ASAP and I will address your concern immediately.

Growing Rich with Google is our program and it comes with a 7 day free trial to our members website. Where we offer one on one live chat assistance as well as 50+ tutorial videos and other information to help our client be successful with our program for $39.95 a month. It also comes with two fast action bonuses first is a 14 day free trial to Grant Master that give our clients access to our Grant Resources website that is normally a $39.95 monthly charge for a reduced charge of $7.95 a month; as you are already a member of another of our programs. This site offers access to one of the largest grant data bases. Where you can find both government and private grantors. It offers information from Dr.
Porter who is a licensed and certified grant writer. The information that is offered through our members website is more extensive than what other companies sell in coaching programs that cost thousands of dollars. So we feel that we are offering our clients the best value in the industry. The second fast action bonus is a 21 day free trial for Network Agenda an affiliate company that offers an online date book that will allow you to keep track of your daily schedule and will even send you reminders to your cell phone. We offer the trial periods to give our clients a chance to use the service and see the value of it for themselves before they are billed for it.

If you are another customer that is reading this and you feel that we have failed you in some way please email me at ryanr@wskc.org or call me directly at 435-773-1795 and I would be happy to address your concerns ASAP.

Sincerely,
Ryan R.

I don't know how you sleep at night or look at yourself in the mirror. To all Raven Media, it is very disgusting that you would scam people out of their hard earned money. You state that your number for cancellation is in the confirmation email and terms and conditions and posted several other places on the site. NOT TRUE here is a copy of an email confirmation! Raven Media, I can't believe you would even try to defend your practices. I never ordered your CD, trial membership, or whatever it is you're trying to misle innocent consumers with. I never even visited your site, and before I got a call from one of your minions asking about my alleged order, I had never even heard of you! I have no idea how you got ahold of my credit card and personal info, but you did, and you used it dishonestly. I can't imagine an identity thief using my info to try to sign up for your product, especially since it would be sent to the wrong mailing address, so all I can guess is that you thought I wouldn't see the charges on my account statement. Well, I'm not an idiot. The account has been cancelled, so no, you will not be getting any more money out of me.
