Hi,
I went to Nakumatt and bought a Ramtons sandwich toaster which on the product cover and user manual stated that it had four types of plates. On unpacking it, it only had one type of plates and subsequent follow up with Nakumatt Holdings we were told that it comes with only one set of plates. A matter to note is that we were told by the supermarket that they have received numerous customer complaints on the same and reported it to Ramtons but nothing has been done about it...Guess its time to cry out loud..

On February 3rd 2012, I bought a Ramtons water Dispenser worth 17, 75o among other items. On arrival, and on testing the dispenser, I found that the unit had a leakage. We returned this item hoping to get a replacement.

I was told to leave the unit at the Karen Nakumatt and wait for a call while waiting for a replacement. I was never called for over two weeks until I had to start following up myself.

I made countless visits to the supermarket until yesterday April 24 when I was called for another unit. The officer handling our case assured me that this was a new unit.

When I tried it, it was again having the same problem as the first one. Looking at the documentation I was given, I found it to be the same unit that I had returned t. I was extremely disappointed by the way this case handled . For almost three months, I have been making costly trips to Karen, wasting man hours and losing on the service I am supposed to be enjoying for which I have paid for.

As far as buying from Ramtons is concerned, its as good as throwing your money at hungry beggars...you'll never see it again.
I bought a gas stove from them and on the first day the knobs broke, one is ok but BOTH of them?! When in went back to ask them about replacements, they said they don't have any and that i should bring it back to them so they can fix it... fixing it was to take a whole 30 WORKING days!
Todate my cousin (whom i 'donated' the cooker to) still uses a knife to turn the knobs! I settled for a Hitachi and its all smooth right now.
Kindly if you can save, buy something better instead of buying cheap that is so damn expensive.

After reading these comments, i have come to the undeniable conclusion that cheap Ramtons products are quite expensive in the long run.

Am so disappointed in Ramtons one year warranty it purports to offer its customers so as to have its products compete in the market. I bought a ramtons electric stove sometime around September 2010 whose coil busted by April 2011 and it could not cook anymore. When i took it to their for them to service as per the warranty provisions at cabanas Mombasa road they told me that they didn't have the coil (Had coil stock out) and servicing the the stove would take them a month! the other option they gave me was that I buy the coil from other vendors and they will fix it for me, they were not even ashamed telling me that the coil will cost me KSH.8, 00 making what they claim to be free service cost Ksh.8, 00. Now i have opted to leave them with it and collect it after a month as they said forcing me to buy a stove which i had not planned to especially with the current high fuel prices. I find them very inefficient and having no respect for their customers who has made them what they are today. I swear i will never ever buy any Ramtons product nor advise any one to do so.

Suffering a similar fate, I bought a Ramtons washing Machine in March 2010 and before long it was giving problems. Presently I cant wash my clothes as the machine stops in the middle, makes funny rathhling noises before showing and E03 error message. I misplaced the user manual so I cant interpret the eror code so need to know where the Ramtons Service Office is or telephone number if anyine has it. Ale

I bought a Ramton microwave oven worth KSh 15, 350 on 19th June 2010 from Naivas Supermarket, Naivasha. The microwave was faulty and since it was under warranty, I returned on 27th to the seller hoping to get a replacement. The seller informed me that they have to return it to Ramtons Service Centre for repairs. I called Ramtons Service Center to inquire from them whether they can give me a replacement to use as they repair my microwave but they said they cannot do so; BUT other companies such as Black and Decker always give new equipment if whatever they have sold to you has a problem.
A Mr. Jitem from Ramtons assured me that I will get back my repaired equipment within two days. I however did not get it back until 11th July (2 weeks down the line). The most disgusting and annoying thing is that when the item came back after 2 weeks long weeks of the “repairs”, it had the same same problems meaning that NOTHING was done for those 2 long weeks. I have taken it back to them and this time, I don’t know how long I’ll have to wait
I bought a more superior microwave to use but now I’m suffering. I’m so dissatisfied with Ramtons product and services and I would advice anybody to think twice before buying products from Ramtons because they are very insensitive to their customers. Which serious seller can treat their customer like this knowing very well that there are countless suppliers of microwaves in the market? I wish I had known this before.
