Quality Inn service

Cleaning wasn't done. Complained to staff, said he would call us back but didn't. Ants in the bed. Didn't offer new room & seemed put out by doing so. Elevators NOT working for more than 2 weeks. One staff member not helpful, friendly, nor offering any information, is rude. Will not stay again which is sad as we have stayed here for many years, even before it was Quality Inn. Since the name is Quality Inn, they should think about delivering quality service. That is NOT the case.

Quality Inn head of housekeeping

I was reserving a room for a second night since I just stayed the night before and was renewing it to stay again. The head of housekeeping started getting very loud and offensive telling the other employee that they cannot rent to us because we had been on the Do Not Rent list before for smoking one time. The manager and myself settled that by me paying a fee for it and I was told I could come back if I gave a $50 deposit everytime I stayed. The head of housekeeping was there when me and the manager settled this just one day earlier and witnessed her telling me all of this. But the following day, when the manager wasn't present any longer, that same lady tried to convince the present employee that we are still on the list and started going crazy and screaming and pulling managers out and all, which was fine because I wanted to talk to one anyway. By the end of it all, the GM gave me my deposit back and told me that they would love to have my business anytime I want to come stay and again, the manager I settled this with admitted that we were allowed to stay again. This head of housekeeping was very rude, loud, disrespectful, lying on customers and started acting very nasty when it didn't go her way and we got to stay and were taken off the list. She was not professional AT ALL and almost makes me never want to stay there again because of her lack of professionalism and horrible attitude. I would really like to see this housekeeping manager get some kind of lecture and warning so this doesn't happen to someone else. And proof that something was actually done would be very nice also. Thank You.

Quality Inn poor service

I was awoken from a deep sleep at 11:25 pm by night manager Michael Dailey insisting he had to know right then which airline I would be using the following afternoon so he could type up his shuttle request form. I had earlier requested a shuttle for 11:15 am. When I registered earlier i told the clerk that I did not then know which airline, and was told i could tell them in the morning, or just tell the driver, which seems reasonable. What does not seem reasonable is for a guest to be disturbed in this manner for information that is not needed for almost 12 hours. I am furious
and unable to return to sleep. One of the most important amenities a hotel can offer a guest is an undisturbed night's sleep and I have been denied that by Quality Inn

A point that was missed is that I was told previously by two managers that the driver would not need that information until he took me to the airport. I was also told the same thing when I spoke with the manager in the morning. He said the night manager was wrong in his actions, that he could have waited until morning, and that short of a fire, flood, or police action there is no reason to disturb guests from their sleep. "Quality service" does not mandate filling out a form that has 12 hours before needed.

Quality Inn charged for dirty room

The manager of the hotel says we left this room a mess, like the beds were left dirty.This really upsets me, we are very tidy people and leave rooms in great condition.I am scared to think this room was not clean prior to us staying.Shelly the manager, expressed that our "pets"messed up the room and left it dirty.For 1 we have a dog that is small and he never did anything to the room.This totally upset us and really feel this manager has a problem with the truth.We were charged more after we checked out, on our credit card. We have stayed in so many hotels all over the country and never have we ever had a complaint. This is a serious problem and we would like this matter looked into and resolved! Quality Inn dirty bed

The bed had blood all over the sheets and the cover. When I complained I was not offered clean sheets. I was told to call the manager. When I did, he told me I should have complained and got new sheets. It was a catch 22. At any rate I spent $116 to not sleep in a filthy, bloody bed. They should not be able to be called Quality Inn with bed sheets and service like that!

Quality Inn charges

On March 30, 2012, I asked my travel agent to cancel my reservation for 1 night at the Quality Inn in Rome NY. I had to change my travel plans with short notice and had to stay in a Comfort Inn Newburgh, NY (which is always good). The manager from the Quality inn, Rome told the travel agent that there was a 24 hour cancellation notice clause and charged me for one night. As a Choice Privileges member I called him my self to try and reason with the manager who was rude to my travel agent when she spoke to the manager in Rome. I told him that I notified my travel agent on 3/30 to cancel for 4/2 and he said did not receive the notice. I asked him if I could at least cover it with Choice Privileges points. He said he had to call somebody and to call him back. After calling him back 3 times and receiving the same answer. I checked my Choice Privileges activity and saw that I was billed for $117 for the room and didn't stay there (since I stayed in Newburgh, NY).

I think something has to be done about the Management of this hotel. I have read on the Internet several complaints, actually many different ones covering various topics relating to conditions of this particular hotel, all coming down to the rude and unprofessional treatment the customers received by the same manager (actually his name is Peter). I stayed at this hotel for years in the 90's and early 2000's and apparently no upgrades have been made.
I would advise that not only something be done to eliminate the current management/ownership of the quality inn in Rome, NY but to have the board of health pay them a visit as well.

Choice Hotels is a good organization and this particular location is giving the organization a bad name.

Quality Inn dirty hotel

The non smoking handi capped room reeked of air freshener. There was blood or # on the tolit roll holder. The place was dirty. The refrigerator white grateing was chiped and pealing and needed replacing. The continal breakfast was wrotting fruit and expired yougart in dirty refrigerator as I looked. Overall I would not allow my dog to stay there. They also displayed the aaa aproval proudly on the check out desk where the abusive check out person was. They quoted me 69 over the phone and charaged 90 when I booked threw you. It as a horrible experiance and I expeced better from someone you approved with 2 stars... Well... It is not even worth 1...

I stayed at the comfort inn/ quality inn in Mesquite, Texas this last weekend of the first weekend of May.
I was told by the manger that I did not have to call to get a discount on the room or my pet staying for 2 nights, that he would charge me 15. dollars total for my dog and each night would cost me 58.99 dollars, instead he charged me 20. dollars for my pet and then charged me 69.99 dollars per night.
The indoor pool and sauna were not warm like they were suppose to have been. My grandchildren swam in a very cold pool and the sauna was suppose to be 120 % temp. Both the pool and suna were about 75% with temps outside in the 50's and the doors to the pool was open to the outside.
I will not go back again and advice anyone not to stay there.

Quality Inn dirty bedding

We checked in and went for dinner .After returning my husband took his shoer to get ready for bed.I then took my shower and may i say..not the most desirable bathroom.When I went back in the room to go to bed I took the bedspread off and saw a nice comforter.I saw something and looked closer finding dirty paw prints on the comforter.Well, I decided since we were not dressed and ready for bed I would tell the desk in the morning.So I turned the other bed down to find another dirty comforter.It had scibbles on it and no better.Neither had been washed or spot treated or they wouldnt have looked like they did.I do lots of laundry and can tell when something is dirty.Not a very good nights rest.When I checked out I told the guy at the desk and his comment was..thanks for telling me I'll tell housekeeping.I felt that was not suffecient.

Quality Inn severe mistreatment

We held a family reunion here July 10- July 12. Our family had a block of reserved rooms. I was one of the hostesses of the reunion. I checked into the motel around 10 am on July 10th. I tried at that time to check in my two children and families and to pay for the whole weekend. I was told I would have to pay when we checked out. My daughter and family arrived around 2 pm and had no problems. My son arrived around 8pm and they had not only given his room away (which I had guaranteed) but they had no rooms left. They said they had tried to call me but my husband was in the room the whole time and NO ONE called. They said my credit card had been rejected. I had recently been issued a new credit card with a new number because my card had been suspected of being exposed to fraudulent activity. The credit card company sent me a new card and closed the old account through no fault of my own. I explained this when I checked in. I had made the reservations with the old card that had been closed. So I gave my new credit card to them at the desk. They failed to put in the new number. When my son was denied a room they were very rude to him and wouldn't even explain the problem until he called me. I was out to dinner, but left immediately to try to rectify the problem. When I went to the front desk, the clerk was also rude to me and kept saying it was my fault because my credit card was denied. They were using the old number that had indeed been closed. Only after I requested to talk to the manager did the clerk become more friendly. He was gone so she called him at home. He told me the same thing, that there was nothing he could do but he would look into it in the morning. I told him that this was the second reunion my family had held here and I could assure him we would take our business elsewhere in the future. I was very upset! The manager did return and brought my son back from the hotel he had been sent to. He however, gave him a room that had a shower and air=conditioner that didn't work. Then he acted like he did me a favor. I feel like I should not even have had to pay for that horrible room. Unless Quality Inn does something in the way of an apology, we will never stay at one again. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Quality Inn harissment

My Husband, our two kids 7-months and 18-months went on a vacation up to nebraska for a couple of days to see my family and then go to iowa to see his family we had planed on staying three nights and i wonted a hotel with a pool in nebraska. We also went because my brother just had a new baby. So we get this room #224 and we found out after my husband had smoked one ciggeret in the room that it was a none smoking hotel. the front desk failed to tell him that or even give him a recipet for the cash we had paid. We got in about 11:30pm. So my husband went out side to smoke the rest of the time. the room was great for two days. we went swiming in the tinny pool. We left a do not disturbe sign on the door so i wouldent have any problem with anybody coming in the room and taking things. Well the day check out came. Me and my husband picked up the room and pilled the pizza boxes on the desk along with the breckfest i had brought up that morning. Our 17 month old had got a chunck of muffin on the floor that we tried to pick up. all it needed was vacumed. Any ways we had asked the maid if the room was ok and if it was ok that we leave the keys in the room. She had replied yes. So we left went to Arbys down the road to eat and got done eating and Four cop cars pulled up behind us and asked for our id's my husband asked why. They told us that we did not pay the hotel and for vandilisom. We replied WHAT? So they ran our id's and then took us back over to the hotel to figure things out. We got there they put my husband in hand coffes and talked to him out the room. They said they found a note that said somthing like this "We took out the trash, and kicked your ###. HA HA HA HA HA" also found some kind of empty sandwich bag. The cop showed them both to me and i told him we did not write that note. and i dont know where that bag came from. The cops were therenting my husband by saying that we have to pay $600 in dameges and then we could go other wise you will go to jail and so will your wife and the kids will get put in DHS custady. all we had for the whole trip was $500. I went up and looked at the room. Some one (the MAID) had went in the room and knocked over all of all trash cans and knocked the pizza boxes and everything that i had all nice and stacked up for them to just bring a trash can in there. Also Some one (THE MAID) had took a 3/4 full cup of coffee that my brother had left from McDonalds that morning half was dumped on one bed and the other half was dumped on the other bed. I told the Cops that this room was not like this when we left. The said "what. who do you think did it THE MAIDS". I said i dont know who did it but it was not us. We drove over 600 miles to see my family and we got treated like this. We ended up paying $350.00 before we could leave. The Quality Inn asked us not to come back. Belive me we wont and i will tell everybody a bout the quality inn because that was rediculis. I have staid at may hotels big and small and have never had someone do this to me. I feel robbed and violiated. From know on i will bring the maniger up there and take pictures of before and after. So that really screwed our vacation up. We left nebraska write away after that. We haded seen our family in over a year and to be accused of something like that that i dident do is wrong and i have more respect for hotels than that. I use to work at one. I dont know there reasening but they did it not us.

well i know if i was really to do something like that i would leave town emeditly. Not hang around and see if something was going to happen. I have worked at a hotel before and i know what it takes. I was just trying to have a good vacation. I'm not out to screw anybody. And i dont know for sure who did it but it was not us. And i'm sure she got her cut...

Quality Inn noise, threats, no assistance

On June 15, 2009 My Mother and I traveled from Illinois to Morehead, Kentucky because of a family tragedy. Upon our arrival we chose to stay at this Motel and rent 2 rooms. (120 and 108) were rented to us. Room 108 wasn't even ready (no sheets/blankets) on bed, and 120 was worse. The noise was ungodly! I attempted to call and did to complain about whoever was making the noise and the assist. said he would take care of the noise. He didn't. I attempted to make another attempt by phone and my phone didn't work in the room 120 so I walked to the front desk and complained the noise was from room 119. Upon my return to room 120 a man walking into room 119 started threatening me with fist up and dancing around, "come on mother ###er" wanna be tough... No i responded just you guys have to turn down that noise. Mistake! I went to the front desk and again nothing was done!

The next night, tonight, same thing (trouble).
The little ### who wanted to start the fight (night before) was standing in front of lobby desk smoking a cigar and spouts out with, "whats your problem tonight" ? I don't have to answer you, I responded and i turned to the desk worker...can i be moved to another room? It's the noise...can't handle it.
Nope, he said. We're all booked up here and these are our construction workers who are staying...
That's a rip off I thought to myself!
I paid for these rooms on my girlfriends credit card and now this ###!
And, the rooms weren't even ready. And, have to be in fear of getting assulted by Hotel workers and or other guest with no protection!

This is the absolute worst situation I've ever faced and A complaint is being made to the Better Business Bureau and A Private Atty.

I believe a refund is due and ordinances should be installed against this establishment to prevent further incidents from happening.

You get what you pay for.
If you need a classy service then you may try Marriott or Holiday Inn. Hilton is Also a good place to stay.
Motel is just an alternative to sleeping in your own station wagon.

And also, was that your mother or your girlfriend with you? Im a little confused.

Quality Inn bad service

On 9/1/08, my wife and I, who are seasoned travelers, checked into the Quality Inn & Suites in Torrington, CT. The first room we were assigned was next to a noisy laundry room around back of the motel. The room smelled musty. The bathroom had a large round (the size of a basketball) mildew/moldy patch on the ceiling above the tub. The room, although marked �Non Smoking�, smelled of stale smoke.

We requested another room, and were assigned one in a dark corner, which also smelled musty. This room too smelled of smoke even though it was �Non Smoking�. It also had a loose toilet seat that almost slid me onto the floor after snapping my back when I sat on it shortly after entering the room.

The third room assigned to us at first seemed acceptable. However, after being in the room for a short time, it became obvious that this room was terrible as far as our comfort and convenience were concerned. I have listed some of the things wrong with this room.

Bathroom

The bolts that were holding down the toilet were sticking up out of the floor about two inches, with no caps on them. This could cause someone�s foot to be cut open. The water level in the toilet was so high that it came in contact with one�s skin upon sitting on the seat. The tub had mold around most edges and joints, there were large chips in the porcelain, and the shower curtain was slimy. The floor had cracked and broken tiles. The sink was broken away from the wall and was sloping forward so nothing could be put on the back or the edges of the sink. The woodwork and door were scratched and stained.

Bedroom

The carpet was stained and dirty. There was much dust behind the nightstands and under the desk. The windows were dirty, the iron holder was broken out of the wall, there were cobwebs on the walls, the upholstery on the stuffed chair was ripped, and the drapes were such that they blocked the air from the AC.

Outside

The ice machine was located on a very small, unlit room accessible from the parking lot. I was most uncomfortable that the room was so dark, since there had been a couple of unsavory looking people sitting on benches around the parking lot when we checked in while it was still daylight.

In conclusion, we spent a most uncomfortable night at this facility. Based on this experience, we will not stay at another Choice Hotel ever again unless something extraordinary is done to compensate us for this unpleasant experience.

I enclose a copy of our statement. As a minimum, I would expect to receive a full refund of $90.71.

Quality Inn - harrassement and bullying at work

I was promoted to a new positon, three weeks ago. That when the harrassment started employees were throwing trash in my office on the floor and they would come in and tell me to clean it up and I was #ed and idot, when I would order food from the restuarant the employee would mess with my food. Another time an employee from the kitchen theartened to beat me...

Quality Inn rude employee

I called to place a delivery and she has the worst attitude ever. Did not feel like working at all. She said that she didnt have a driver to deliver my pizza, was laughing in the backgrouns. I am very disappointed.

her name was Kelly and she said she is the asst manager, which that was a bad hired candidate.

Quality Inn poor service, run-down, dirty!

I stayed at a quality in where the halls were dirty, rooms to maintenance were open and visible, the pool was dirty, little to poor maintenance visible in pool area, the breakfast area was poorly staffed, not clean, and overall just sub standard for close to $100 per night. I was surprised and will never stay at a Quality in again.

Michelle coldsnow at comfort suites dunnellon fl likes to yell and scream and act very unprofessional with housekeeping staff. She could use anger management training. One housekeeper became so frightened of the behavior she quit her job.

I've NEVER faced such of an encounter like this in my life!
There was already an issue that I worked for the Econolodge in Forest Park (Atlanta Airport East) for two years and never got a raise, but I can't get a separation notice after being gone for a year, or get paid on time; I returned against my judgment. I just want my notice and money!

My husband and our family stayed at this hotel. Hotwire gave it a 2 1/2 stars, we wouldn't give it a 1/2 star. There were garbage cans all over the place to catch the water from the leaking ceiling during and after a rain storm. Where there wasn't a garbage can there was wet carpet. The bathroom in our room had mold on the walls and shower curtain, not to mention the tub was filthy. Breakfast was suppose to be until 9:00 a.m.; however, before then they ran out and wouldn't bring anything else out for those who hadn't eaten. We wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!

I stayed at the Quality Inn North (MI298) in Grand/Rapids/Walker, MI 49544. We had a reservation but arrived after 10:30 pm. The room was dirty and there was no heat (October in Michigan is cold). After fiddling with the wall mounted heater, we attempted to call the front desk regarding the heat and to get a wake-up call. Two attempts and no answer. It was the most miserable night that I have spent in any establishment. In addition to the cold conditions, the mattresses were so terrible that you could literally feel springs. The room was so dirty that fearing bed-bugs, I piled my luggage on top of the desk. If I could have left to find other accommodations, I would have, but I was unfamiliar with the area. The next morning, I complained to the front desk about the conditions and the attendant simply said, "Oh yeah, that was the room with the water damage" and took $10 off the $102.00 room charge. I filed a complaint with their national franchise and received no response. This establishment is near Grand Valley State University (my reason for being there). I will be sharing this experience with everyone that I come in contact with--parents, professors, and students.

We stayed at the Quality Inn 2102 S. Jeffers, North Platte NE. There was a note on our table that the town was infested with harmless bugs and they were doing every thing they could to keep them under control, but expect to see a few bugs. The first night we were there I got up to go to the bathroom and drowned 25 of these bugs. The next night. it was 5. When I asked at the desk for a discouont on our room at apporoximately 9:30 a m as a result of the bugs, she refused. I asked to speak to the manager on duty. She went to the back room and then came out and said there was not one in today. I asked why the placque on the wall said Mary Anderson, manager of duty. She replied that she had gone home at 2 a.m. I then asked why her name was on the placque and she replied she didn't know. I had to unpack all our luggage and go through it piece by piece upon our arrival home to be sure that we had not brought any of these bugs home with us.
She gave the excuse that we had a group rate so she could not discount it anymore. Others stayed in rooms without the bugs and we paid as much as they did.

My family and I stayed one night and were not impressed at all. We paid $$$ for the night and thought we would be getting a nice room. The room was dirty with marks and some kind of matter on the walls in the bathroom. The ceiling had large spider webs on it above the bed. If that was not bad enough, my family had to wear shoes in the room due to the black marks that would collect on our feet from walking on the carpet. I love to travel with the family and stay in hotels, but was happy to leave this hotel the following morning. The only thing I did enjoy with the hotel was the staff at the front desk when my family and I checked in to the hotel. They were very nice and accommodating.
