Hi, I just applied for a job through craiglist and they were from this company.. I was kinda taken by suprise when they asked me to give them my credit information with out first seeing there compnay. this is a the biggest pile of shit i have ever see. Please do not give then your information.. it is a scam of identity left!!!

Same has happened to me through my job hunting, besides that is very upseting to find out that they want to get your information and treat you like an idiot or retard attempting to introduce us to a credit report "funny" website, is also very discouraging that you wasted your time reading the ad, replying to the ad in a very professional way to look good before that "employer" to find out that is Scam!!! this time the person who contact me is Melanie, I am pasting part of the stupid e-mail:

WOW! I just got contacted by Melanie as well...I am sooo upset now! I thought it was a little funny that they wanted to see my credit report...and I tried to google them, but there was no website given...

What is wrong with the ethics of people?! This is so upsetting as people are getting laid off, and when we find a glimmer of hope, we're shot down again--BY SCAMMERS!

Does anyone remember what the headline was on Craigslist? I want to report that it is a scam, but I've been applying to soo many positions through Craigslist that it is impossible. Man, I wonder if there are any legit companies that utilize Craigslist. I'm so glad you guys have supplied me with this information too. I just emailed "Melanie" to see if she could supply me with a website. We'll see what she says.

I just got the same thing this morning from Melanie Tate. The same e-mail as Raquel. I also got another one from a Darren Christine. It's a similar story; just wanting my credit score in order to send any further information.
Careful with craiglist guys and good luck job hunting everyone!!!

I received the same ridiculous email as the one posted above... I'm glad I found this website before I did some stupid shit and let someone steal my identity.

hlio416 - The title of the job that I applied for on Craigslist was "Customer Service one117 Position." Not sure if it was the same for you, but I was looking in the Savannah, GA area on Craigslist.

I got the same email but mine was from a Laura Telligman. Their ads so sound lagit and all but yeah it they really wanted you to do a credit check most companies have you come to their office and haveyou sign a waiver to get authority and to show that you are truly that person. so dont be foolish and fall for it. This is so overwhelming!! I will not be using craigslist any more! Nothing but scams!! I received the same message as the one above from Laura Telligman. Seems like there would be something the Attorney General in our prospective states could do about this.

Got the same message, mine is listed below, this was for a job in Ames Iowa. The funny part is I didn't send her a resume or an application or anything, I just asked what the hours would be and where I could pick up an application and this was what she replied, apparently I made it to the final stage without them knowing anything about me.

Good to see I am not alone...I got one this morning. the position was for a bank teller...such a discrace they take advantage of people in a market where there is a need for job security. I just received an email from "Fay Goodwin" regarding the `Administrativ/Executive Assistant` (Indianapolis) job. I applied Sunday night at 10pm and received this email Monday morning at 1:56am apologizing for the delay. It looked very suspicious to me so I Googled PW Digital Media and thanks to your posts, I will not be applying for that job.

I received another one from this person too but it is Spam. Listen guys we need to take action, I am forwarding this e-mails to spam@uce.gov from FTC Bureau of Consumer Protection - Consumer Information so start doing what I am doing, every single one of these e-mails I am forwarding to them. I have another e-mails I am receiving just like this one.

After reading all of your complaints, I am now the wiser. Thank you all for speaking out. I thought it sounded a little funny when they ask for you credit report. So if you get a e-mail from PW Digital Media do not give them your info...

Guys I've already looked into this at great length. These people are not trying to steal your identity. They are sending you to legit credit report companies. They are making a commission off of each free credit report. There is no job and it's very unethical but if you fell for it your identity's are safe. Just make sure to sign into the credit report site and cancel your account as you will be billed for credit monitoring every 30 days.

Your totally rite!!! With all the layoffs and people still taking advantage of what little sanity we have left. Malanie emailed me as well!...What caught my attention was the email was sent at 2:37AM What HR Dept is open that late. People should be ashamed and so should Craigslist.com for letting anybody post jobs.

I also have recieved many of these emails while attempting to find employment on Craig's list, one name that I have seen listed here was that of Laura Telligman and PW media. I believe it is completely unethical and immoral to try and take advantage of people that are already facing difficult times and trying to provide for their families. I have reported Sarah and two more just like her to the FBI and FTC (see my postings at papafikit.blogspot.com) hopefully something is being done to enforce the Federal Can-Spam act. Phishing, spam and out right fraud are illegal, be sure to report anyone that is attempting to do you harm.

Definitely, Craigslists.com is not the place to seek for a job. The problem is that some staffing offices or real employers post some real ads. How we can know "who is who" this is something that formal firms has to consider to post in Craigslist. Since February 13, when I started my job hunting, all the spams start to reach me. Some got me unfortunately because I was not aware of the of no credibility of those posts. I have learned when they reply to you almost immediately, at least that was they use to do on March, they are spam. Lately, they have changed the strategy to reply, they now wait 24 hours to response with different verbage but same crap. Laura, Sara, located in different parts of America is the same group probably located in same area. Said that, I have also forwarded all these unethical e-mails to FTC <spam@uce.gov>. Forward everything you receive that looks suspicious and send it to your spam or Junk tray/mail.
