This site lists all persons that signed a recall petition for Scott Walker, the Governor of Wisconsin. I had "googled" my own name and state trying to see if my small business website would come up and instead got this offensive, very suggestive site from Put Wisconsin First that ties directly into the Wisconsin Court System Records and it insinuates that people signing for the recall are criminals. There is no way to contact anyone from the site and I cannot find who actually authored the site. I have nothing to hide but find it very disturbing that others trying to find information about my small business may run into this extreme site that is basically very nasty. My husband did find them on Facebook where more offensive remarks (ie: references to "those people", etc.) were found. My biggest problem is that they show my signature on their web page and I have a huge issue with this as well as how they are trying to portray all persons that signed this petition. I would just like an avenue for people that feel the same way as I do to be able to make a formal complaint. How is it possible for some persons to go through the extreme effort, time and cost it must have taken to put this site together yet not have the integrity to put their names on it? This is just an indecent attempt to intimidate voters and they should be called on it.

Put first wisconsin has blurred my signature but has a tab to press which takes you to page by sw.occupista.com which clearly defines my signature. If my identity is stolen I will be suing both websites in court for mega money. So tired of crooked politicians and their uneducated voters.

Put Wisconsin First has published my full name and home address on the internet because I signed the petition to recall Walker. I have a dangerous stalker. With a google search, he can find me and hurt or even kill me!
Please help me to have this removed immediately!

I didn't mind my name being listed. The republicans like to talk about hand outs and freebies and milking the system. But they are the largest culprit's. Tax deductions for golf fundraiser's, meals deducted, transportation deducted. Write off jets and company cars...on and on. If capitol gains were taxed at a different rate and they lost their health care they would be singing a different tune like the ### they are.My question is since they are public officials why are their names and addresses listed online along with their signatures? After all What do they have to hide?

And guess what, PWF, you're surely not winning over the INDEPENDENT VOTE.

Independent voters (like myself) are hugely important in getting Walker re-elected, and you have alienated them. Good job. You'll surely never win those voters back after this. If he doesn't win the upcoming election you have only yourself to blame.

This country has the freedom of election (and recall--it IS legal, btw). People should not be afraid to voice their opinions in a free country. Slander, btw, is NOT legal. I am not a pedophile, criminal, or tax evader and the Google results IMPLY that I am. That is unethical and wrong.

I've been a victim of this website, as well. I wonder how the creators of PWF would feel if someone were to get the public records of political donations and associate Walker-donators with pedophiles, criminals and tax evaders.

My record of signature also says "two elements of interest" and yet when you search, there is nothing. But how many people will bother to search?

Publishing our names on the petition to recall is no big deal. Yes, it is public record. But associating people with criminal acts, and ruining their ability to make a living is another. What was done here is not patriotic--but Anti-American. America used to be a free country. I can tell you that Wisconsin is no longer free. If slander can be used to intimidate voters.

I am on this site, and I signed this, I did not expect it to be put up on the Internet, but TEATOTALERS don't seem to have any issue with this type of intimidation. So please add my comments to the "Put Wisconsin First" site: Scott Walker is a sneaky snivel nosed hack. Still is! Question: Is he a relative of McCarthy or just from the same State?

WOW... I just googled my name out of curiosity and boredom and my name came up with the same link for walker recall @ putwisconsinfirst.com, along with the words WI REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER (out of context) in the link description right under my name! I am no criminal, especially not a sex offender! I'm an honest, trustworthy young mother so of course I have a problem with this. Someone might get the wrong impression, seeing my name in a link with sex offender in the description. I'm very offended!
It's one thing to make names on petitions known, but to try to give a false impression on such a serious matter is definitely a hate crime!

While names may be considered a matter of public record, signatures are not. Why would someone go to the trouble of collecting all of those records to post them on the internet? Not only that, but keep them listed well after the fact (2 years and counting).

It is an obvious ploy to make those persons who signed stand out. Now that I see how low the Walker supporters will stoop, I wish I had signed. I would also have fought tooth and nail to get him out of office had I known this type of underhanded intimidation is considered appropriate by him or his people.

Before anyone goes on a rampage that he had nothing to do with it, I recall Walker having a situation while he was serving on the Milwaukee County Board. There was a psychologist operating at a County facility who was involved in several incidents of professional misconduct (personal and otherwise). Walker said nothing. Walker did nothing ... Except think that he wanted to run for Governor. People need leaders who will stand up for what is right, not hide their heads in the sand until they think the heat is off.

Ok, PWF indicates "CLICK TO VIEW UNBLURRED AT ANOTHER WEBSITE" to see the petition pdfs. To the letter of the law about not showing people's signatures on their site. However, that kind of honesty is like telling someone that you did not rob their home, but leaving out the part that you gave the key to the robber so that they could. If any of us are going to do something, including sign petitions or put up websites, nice to be honestly forthcoming.

In contrast to what the PWF contributor indicated, the site does show petition pages that do show people's signatures, at least by a click on link on the PWF site that goes directly to the signature page of interest at http://sw.occupista.com. I found my own record and was confused by what the site indicated. It called it a "Rehabilitated Recaller Signature Line", and towards the top of the page it said there were 2 elements of interest. Not sure what "Rehabilitated" means or what 2 elements of interest were. No definitions to be found. For the record, I'm an independent voter. Not impressed with this site.

I don't care that the public knows that I signed the recall petition. I DO care that they try to smear me by adding court records, sex registry and the amount of my political donations and to whom they were given. None of your business. The only court infraction shown on my invasion of privacy is a2009 speeding ticket. This reminds me of Nixon's enemies list. The real shady criminal in all of this is Walker.

How do you sleep at night? You claim your site is not political? You lie like a sack of manure. I am proud to have signed the recall petition and I don't care if you publish it, but when you say there are "two issues" with my signature and you conveniently have two other search categories: sex offender and tax evader, you are slandering my name (along with all the other democrats in WI). Long story short, You know where I live. I unfortunately don't have your address. Why don't you pop on over to my house so we can discuss these issues personally? (I dare you, yellow!)

"Those people" attempted many legal recalls trying to nullify my vote from 2010 what do you expect lady?
You mention the fb page using offensive statement & then site "those people" as an example.LMAO I use the fb page which is a conservative support page & from what I have seen they are about as mild as a political page gets. As far as the website I have used that as well from what I have seen it is all public info. Good Luck!

Kevin Kennedy, director and general counsel - Government Accountability Board said the agency conducted a balancing test, as required by the Public Records Law, and determined:
"Weighing all of these concerns and public interests, we have concluded that the balancing test of the Public Records Law favors disclosure of the entire recall petition without redaction of information on a recall petition, even when individual signers have expressed a concern arising from prior abuse or violence committed against them by a person who is now subject to a restraining order. During recall elections in 2011, the Board posted the entire petitions in PDF format on its website, and has followed the same practice with the recall petitions currently pending against four State Senators.

Few processes in the electoral system or elsewhere are more public than the signing of recall petitions against state elected officials. Petition signers chose to participate in the public process of initiating a recall election of the Governor as well as other officeholders, and any concerns regarding their personal safety and privacy may not have been considered when signing a petition. In addition, officeholders and the public have a right to view the petitions, not only for the legal process of filing challenges to signatures, but to help ensure the transparency and accountability of the petition review process, and of Wisconsin's electoral system."

So I ask, what good is public records if nobody can find anything in them?

Pam, First of all the PutWisconsinFirst web site does not show signatures! You know this as it is splashed everywhere. Saying it does simply doesn't make it true and shows you are just willing to lie to pretend to make a point. Your recaller report: http://www.putwisconsinfirst.com/reporting/index.php?id=107634302 I'm not sure how the formatting will work so I will just try this and see...

Your husband was quite rude and offensive sending us an email that said the following:

Petitions for such are public record. Why would you want to recall a governor that tries to lower taxes for small businesses as well as individuals by cutting costs? Is there something rattling in your head? Either you areent a small business owner or you are not a registered voter in Wisconsin. Only sensible ressons I can see for this wrath.
