Prestige Slate / Premier Slate review: conmen setup in new name 26

How come its 2018 and this company are still ripping people off...in the process of trying to get our money back. Judging by the above comments, it'll likely not happen!

This company is now using the name Quality House Sign (Sales) Phone [protected] Same rip off merchants, you make an order then they send you a 'Proof' but it never gets delivered, you get an e-mail saying its 'lost in the post' They never reply to messages or e-mails. Do NOT use them.

I too ordered a sign and got told the courier had lost it. Con men, now calling themselves luxury slate signs. I would suggest good reviews on here were added by the con men themselves. Reported to trading standards and watchdog.

These bad comments all sound very familiar, I have sent emails and made phone calls and had no response from either. I'm just waiting for the bank to get my money back.

Has anyone been successful with recovering funds from these guys? I have a CCJ in my favour against Premier Slate, and am about to pay baliffs to go in, but have seen the company is dissolved...but there is a new one called 'Bespoke House Signs' which has the same website, just under s different name. They even have the same testimonials as Premier Slate! So its Prestige Slate, Premier Slate, Bespoke House Signs and Key Bee Enterprises...all tied to the same people. Is it worth me pursuing, or am I throwing good money after bad? Also, Trading Standards - how can I complain to them about this company? Their website is not helpful...

I too have been had, I ordered by sign in the beginning of Feb and still no sign of it - They said it was with the courier 4 weeks ago and they would make a new one and give me a refund. Still no sign or a refund and I had paid by BACS not realising that you can't retract a BACS payment if they are fraudulant. Very unhappy all round. They wont answer their phones or answer my emails so I am going to CAB and the police next.

I ordered a sign from them 2013, the service was very slow but the sign did finally arrive (albeit after being sent to the wrong address which is ironic for a house sign) and I was very happy with it. However I had specifically paid extra for long slate stakes as this was to be set on the ground behind a wall. The sign arrived with the small stakes, I phoned and they said no problem they would send out the correct ones. 3 emails and countless phone calls later with the owner never available to take the call and no reply to email, the stakes never arrived. I don't think it was a deliberate con but shoddy customer service and they own me money so would not recommend.

I ordered a sign on 3.11.14 and i am 10 weeks later still waiting for my sign. I have sent many emails including one saying i was contacting their police department. Awful, . DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I unfortunately only read these complaints after becoming another victim of these con artists. Like all the other complainants I was folled by the slick website and the quick response on order and then totally impossible to reach them in any means ehether email, phone or whatever. Nobody phones back - I will be adding to the complaints bia Paypal, Tdading Standards and beyond if necessary

Same issues as everyone else. Now in the hands of Mastercard, Paypal and Trading Standards.

Just ordered in last few days. Immediately concerned when didn't get order confirmation. Called three times, no response.
Obviously con-artists. Have stopped payment through card company and am setting up a trading standards complaint. CC company are following up also.

Has anoyone had any success at contacting this company and getting a refund? We have had the same problem with premierslate, placed an order wll over a month ago. Have been fobbed off with its being sent tomorrow..then it was damaged to the point now that we are getting no responses either via phone or email, yet they took our money. It only £60 but I am not giving up on this either - people like this should be banned from trading its just pure theft.

I have taken these charlatans to the Small Claims Court and the Court has received no response.
I have Entered Judgement via the County Court and we await a response.
I will not be holding my breath, that we will get a reply.
Next step - the Bailiffs.
After that - a Winding Up Order.
I will go all the way with this - I don't like being ripped off!

I had made the mistake of ordering a sign back in May 2013 from this company. After a month later I finally was told it was being dispatched but it never was. I have called and left various messages and sent emails but there have been no reply's. I have now been in contact with my credit card to retrieve my money and I have also lodged a complaint with trading standards. Whats even more of a joke is that I wrote to them from a different email address posing as new business and they replied within 30 minutes. These people are disgusting and have no shame or morals. Avoid them at all costs. Alex Mills - if this lot are still something to do with you as your email below suggests, then you should do something about it. Shame on you also.

They looked good on the web - but have proven to be rubbish.
Ordered the sign, paid and got the 'proof' very quickly.
Had to chase for delivery and got lots of excuses.
Sign eventually arrived with 'secret fixings', which I had not ordered. It was also covered in flecks like cement or paint had been sprayed over it.
Was told to return the sign and the postage would be paid.
Returned the sign at great expense - £51.10.
Said I wanted my money back.
Still waiting.

Please do not order from Premier Slate. I ordered a house sign around 6 weeks ago and it hasn't arrived. I have emailed numerous times and left messages - no respose. Just try calling them on [protected] - they will not answer and will only call back if it's a sles call rather than a complaint. I'm on to trading standards today.

Yes we have been conned too! Same old story, it got delivered to wrong address etc etc. This was 10 weeks ago. Do not order from these con men

Just to let you know that I received my order today. Its beautiful. Had a few tears when i opened it. We live at 17 my husband/daughters birthday's the 17th and my husbands died on the 17th of April last year.
Thanks very much for getting my order sorted out so promptly after I contacted you. I know this my sound silly but what's the best was to fit it to a wall.

Premier slate is indeed run by a conman.we ordered our sign in November and after 2 weeks of not hearing anything I rang their telephone number which is now embedded in my brain through ringing it so many times.Eventually I was told that our sign had been 'dropped' by the courier on its way to us and was told a new one was being made and for it to be delivered before Christmas.It never arrived before Christmas and
so I tried to contact them again and again and again.When the phone was answered this time I was told that the courier had tried to deliver the sign to my workplace ON A SUNDAY! Eventually after several calls and threats of Trading Standards I have received a full refund and count myself very lucky to have got my money back.
Never should anyone deal with this company and it saddens me to say that being a fellow welshman the guy is a crook

I can assure you that my complaint is legitimate, my suggestion would be that 'daringmeir' is an owner of this company?! Try calling them, [protected]. I can guarantee you'll never speak to an actual person, especially if you leave a message of complaint! But if you do manage to speak to someone, please tell them that Mr Barnitt would like his money back for the crap sign he received.

Ignore the negative comments as the Company are being targeted by an unscrupulous competitor. The complaints are fabricated and not from customers. Legal action is in progress.

I ordered a slate house sign from www.premierslate.co.uk in November, as a Christmas present. It arrived just before Christmas and it was just awful. It was really poor quality, the slate has defects (it looks like cement has been splattered over it), it hasn’t been polished up and the edges are rough. The site offered a no quibble money back guarantee if consumers aren’t 100% satisfied with their product. However, I’ve been trying to contact them by phone and email since 17th December (24 days ago) and I’ve had just one email back asking how they can help... when I told them that I wanted to return the sign I never heard back from them again.
Having looked into the company on the internet it looks like they have a habit of this kind of trading - I would recommend you avoid at all costs.

I'm still waiting. Received first proof then requested modification. After 6 weeks nothing, not answering phone or emails. Hope springs eternal...

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. The internet is alive with horror stories of these rip off merchants. I have obtained a County Court Judgement against them for non-delivery of a sign. They simply do not respond to any customer queries.
Premier Slate is just a re-badged Prestige Slate.

I was also worried after reading this site - however I received excellent service from this company. I ordered a house sign on October 17 was sent a proof to agree and received the actual sign on November 8. It is exactly what I wanted and has been produced to a high standard.

I checked this site after ordering from this company. I was worried that I had been scammed. No need. I was sent the proof to agree and recieved it a few weeks later. It is lovely!
