I was in the process of purchasing two puppies from this breeder. I lost my job, and was wanting to make arrangements, but the breeder decided to sell one of my puppies to another buyer, and kept the other one for herself for breeding purposes. At the time of requesting a refund, she tried to justify her reasoning to keep the funds due to limited space for holding the pups, including the deposit. I was upset; that she decided to keep one of my pups to breed her, and sold the other. I have filed an complaint with the BBB, Paypal and in process of filing a police report. The total amount of funds she owes me $400.00, and would want a refund of ALL funds given to adopt Fanny & Tootsie. Especially when knowing she has kept one of the pups to herself for BREEDING purposes, and sold the other. Prayer Paw Puppies is practice which borderline criminal activity. The business launders monies from consumers w/out a contract on file and makes up outrageous fees to wheel more money out of customers. They are a PUPPY MILL in disguise. They decide not to sell FANNIE to me when she had $600 of funds to secure her, and kept her for breeding purposes, because she has a NICE PERSONALITY (Per Jean Anderson words). At this point in time, I just want $400 returned back to me via Paypal, and Paypal has given Jean Anderson a negative seller's rating. They are a total SCAM!

"DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM. THEY WILL KEEP YOUR MONIES AND WILL COME UP WITH OUTRAGEOUS WAYS TO KEEP LAUNDERING MORE FUNDS FROM YOU.

Their puppy business borderlines to unlawful activity, they are unethical and unprofessional. They are NOT in the best interest for the puppies - they are there to wheel more monies out of customers - and decide not to sell at the very last moment, and will keep a sold dog so, they can breed her for profit along with NOT REFUNDING THE MONIES BACK TO THE CUSTOMER." I have filed cases in following places.

By the way Kirstie is a real person because that is me. I really have bought a puppy, and her reviews are real. You should get a life. You couldn't afford the puppies, and it's wrong for you to ask for your money back. It costs a lot money and time to raise babies. This page needs to be closed. Attached is a picture of my baby Bliss. Still think I am a fake person.

Hi Y'all
I would like to say; just recently I bought a puppy from Sheri/Jean; and left with a beautiful puppy. I live out of state, she was delivered by air. Angels was doing okay for a few weeks, and then she started to get really sick. I am not here to slash Sheri or her Momma, but she should've had her health checked thoroughly. My Angels passed away yesterday with a heart defect. I am in pieces and wanted to google them on the intranet to get in touch, and found this site and see how she has behaved with other customers. I am not going to contact her. She is not going to bring back my Angels. Potential buyers, please do research on all breeders from whom you buy pups from. There are plenty of breeders everywhere. I felt it would be good to voice my experience with Sheri. That's all folks

Kirstie42744 posted on October 15, being "Kirstie", and once again on October 31, being " Sherry". Prayer Paws is creating fake user accounts, and is posting fake comments in conjunction to this complaint! Dishonesty takes a new turn. Sandy Mauro from Italy is sounding fake too now. Poor Prayer Paws, their reviews on their website is fake too. I AGREE with nqamar this pointment forward.

After reading this forum, and the original complaint on peoples complaint.com, I have to agree with nqamar. There was no contract executed, and within a handfultimate of days, she was unable to complete the purchase, and asked for a money return, instead prayerpaws requested boarding charges on a weekly basis. Sherry even stated, if you don't like the terms, then don't sign the contract, but she took money from her customer before any signatures, they are at fault at this. So, nqamar should've received all the money that she gave to prayerpaws.

My name is Sandy Mauro, I live in Italy, l have bought two pomerian puppies from prayerpawpuppies, first working with Jean Anderson and second puppy working with her lovely daughter Sheri Chapman!, it sounds like to me lady you bit off more than you could chew! First I find it hard to believe that Jean or Sheri didn't try to help you in your situation, they are the most kind and understanding people I have ever met! They not only sent me pictures of my babies weekly, but they also answered all my question... They also saved me money, letting me know my parents house was in driving distance to there house, saving me shipping fees! And with the second puppy they held him for more than two months, so I could make the trip! If I was you lady, I would look in a mirror, and ask yourself, why am I so evil, that I have to try and hurt people that try to help others, by bringing love and happiness with there babies! If you had taken time to read there contact you wouldn't be even writting this review. . Sham Sham on you! Someone like you doesn't deserve a special prayerpaw puppy! I can only say that my experience has been amazing! ! AND I RECOMMEND PRAYERPAWPUPPIES TO ANYONE THAT WANTS A PREOUS BUNDLE OF JOY IN THE LIVES! I HAVE TWO!

@ PennState4ever...WHAT DOES YOUR COMMENT HAVE TO DO WITH THE COMPLAINT ABOUT HER NOT PAYING FOR A DOG ON TIME AND THEM NOT REFUNDING HER MONEY... All of you are now making complaints about things that have nothing to do with what nqamar originally wrote about...

Hi. This is Sheri with Prayer Paw Puppies. I just want to say, I have not sold a Pom to a “Jennifer”

besides the one who left a nice review on my website. No “Jennifer” has ever contacted me/us about

a sick Pom, either. No proof has been provided to these claims which make me wonder if these

unsatisfied people are all really an alias for “Noreen”. Noreen, I am sorry that you were not able to pay

for your puppy, and as a result, did not receive her. I do not know of any business that lets you walk

away with merchandise without a form of payment.

Because of Noreen, we are now registered with the Better Business Bureau with an A- rating. We

received an A- due to the fact that we didn’t know to register with them right when we opened our

doors. Otherwise, they told us we’d have had an A+. (The seal is on our website)

Possible clients, I invite you to please DO your research. If you do not want to pay our prices, please find

someone in your range. If you don’t like our policies clearly laid out on our website (so you know what

you’re agreeing to before receiving your contract), don’t buy from us. We DO have a health guarantee

– but you have to contact us within three days AND provide PROOF that your puppy is sick. If a person

doesn’t keep up with their puppy’s vaccinations, they are asking for their puppy to become ill.

I have to commend Noreen for at least taking the right avenues for someone dissatisfied with a business

deal. I’m sorry (for her) that she also feels the need to slander.

I love all my dogs and am very passionate about them. If you want a quality puppy that is beautiful and

well socialized, then you may just want to visit our site.

P.S. If you really want to know what a Puppy Mill is, check out that page on my website! :)

Hi my name is Jennifer, and I have bought a puppy from this breeder 3 years ago. They are known to have an assortment of different types of poms. My puppy was very sick from the beginning, and they did not assist at all. I have to agree with nqamar, and not surprised with their behavior. nqamar did not sign their contract at all, and tried to work with them. sadly, they are in the business of making money, so they tried their best to get much out of nqamar. THEY ARE A PUPPY MILL! I was inexperienced, and learned the hard way. Bottomline, if it looks like a puppy mill, smells like a puppy mill, then at the end of the day. THEY ARE A PUPPY MILL. Sad but true, they are NOT IN THE BEST INTEREST OF BUYERS. As long as they get their money, Prayer Paw or BFF Puppies can care less of the buyers.

@ Sara...the link to "https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20130606230142AA82PC0" is not a complaint... It is a question that was asked and ALL of the responses are general comments made about ALL breeders...

In general, breeders can be a bad choice BUT the person that posted this complaint decided to use one and then BROKE the deal by not following up with payments... If you put a deposit on a car posted on craigslist and then lost your job, are you getting your money back...

Now, this complaint has taken on a new life that is showing the down side of buying from puppy mills... WHY?

@Sara... The site you gave the link to is a forum that someone asked a question but NONE of the comments are negative about the breeder itself... They are just general comments about people not buying from a certain type of breeder.

Hi my name is Kirstie, I have known PrayerPaw's for a while now. She is one of best breeders I have ever known, she cares about her dogs, and does everything she can to provide her puppies with the best possible. They helped me find the best puppy even though I took a year to say for sure which one I wanted. My little Bliss is sitting right next to me now, she is one of the best puppies I have ever owned. She is amazing around kids, in the car, and even at night. She arrived clean, and healthy. I would do business with them again in the future. Let me make one thing clear, PrayerPaw Puppies IS NOT A PUPPY MILL! They care for their puppies, and do their best to find them the best homes. Not to mention a puppy mills is all for the money, meaning they don't want to do payments, or arrangments, they want the money now. That is not how PrayerPaw's is!

I would not personally purchase from this breeder. I feel "nqamar" was naive and didn't know much how puppy mills operate. They sell puppies year round, which is a "bad" sign. Usually breeders have one litter a year. Also, her prices are outrageous. I read thoroughly the complaints, and regardless - this business prayer paws shouldve kept a good stance when dealing with customers, and not look at the overall $$. nqamar purchased 2 puppies from elsewhere. Prayer Paw Puppies has a bad reputation, and if they do not correct their habits, more consumers will make a puplic statement of them. Just my 2 cents :)

P.S I guess if the trend continues like this...they should pray for lots of unhappy customers of their experience with them. How disgusting of a business using "gods" name in vain.

The puppies were already above 10 wks old. I know you read their website, and they have a sales contract on file as well. I never agreed to their bogus terms, and NOR I ever got a sales contract on hand to sign.

The puppies were above 10 wks. And, the police dept agrees to me, BBB agrees to me, and Paypal agrees to me. So, I dont know who you are, so STOP...Seems like you NEVER bought from a breeder before.

"I was in the process of purchasing two puppies from this breeder. I lost my job, and was wanting to make arrangements, but the breeder decided to sell one of my puppies to another buyer, and kept the other one for herself for breeding purposes."

I am sure the deposit was made with the understanding that you pick up the puppies by a set date. You said that you lost your job and wanted to make arrangements. What did you want them to do...More than likely you wanted to extend the time to pay... That is you breaking the deal. I can see from the screen shot you have that you put the money down in January and it was at least March by the date on the screen. How long did you want them to wait? In fact, it looks like the payment in full must be made within 10 weeks according to the web site. That would be March 21. The site also says "****ALL PUPPIES MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY 10 WEEKS OF AGE! If you have NOT paid fully for your puppy by this time, you will LOSE any moneys paid. We will relist the puppy, and you WILL NOT BE REFUNDED ANY MONEYS PAID" In fact, they highlight this on the site so it stands out.

Either way, You broke the agreement by not fulfilling your obligation.

I WOULD HAVE PREFERED NOT TO GO INTO SO MUCH DETAIL BUT YOU PUSHED IT.

Usually deposits are not refundable when purchasing anything if you back out of the deal.
