Utility Management Association

This company does presentations on Utility shield and Power Mizer devices targeting older client (most people in presentation were 65-75 ) They stated that they were the exclusive seller of this "Power Mizer 1200 "unit which can save up to 20-25% off of your electric bills. They will install one in your home for $1300.00. You can buy the same unit called the power saver 1200 (ironically same #)for $300.00 and have your own electrician install it in less than 30 minutes like I did. The units do work well but that kind of pricing and sales presentation is out of line.

You were invited to a dinner to learn how to save, you can always buy cheaply made imported products that (say) they are the Power Mizer, or (look) like the Power Mizer. The thing is LAWSUITS are againist all the companies like the (Power Saver 1200) for patent infringements. Good Products Cost Money, Cheap Products Always Fail and Have to Be Replaceddd

We went to a dinner presentation and saw the demonstration of the Utility Shield and the Power Mizer. We were very impressed with the quaility of the products and had the Products installed including the Power Mizer and saved money within the first month.

The complaint is almost as bad as the item it complains about.

There are almost no situations where any power factor correction unit, KVAR, or one of the new names being invented each day, will save any electricity in a home installation. In many cases they use electricity!

Please Google "open4energy energy scams" where we have a complete directory of information on consumer power factor correction so you can understand what your options are!

The manufacturers of genuine power factor correction devices, well suired to commercial and industrial use have unleashed a spate if internet resellers, who in many cases do not even know what they are promoting.
