Power Home Remodeling windows - customer service

We did not even get a chance to talk with this company, and I will never allow them to my home, or recommend them to a neighbor. They called to schedule an appointment for a free quote on Saturday, March 23rd at 10am. The day before, I received an email they will be here. However, on Saturday, we waited around until almost 11:30a with no call, no show. I tried to find an number on their email to me, and there was no contact information. I was able to find a generic email, and told them they fell through on the follow up, and we were unpleased. I said in my email would be looking elsewhere for the estimate on the job of replacing 25 windows.
Today, Monday, March 25th (at noon), I had a rude young guy call...speaking quickly, "we received a message to reschedule your appointment"...I told him polietly, "no, you guys never showed on Saturday, and did not call with courtsey to let us know". I said we were not interested, as you stood us up. He said, "OK", and hung up on me.

Power Home Remodeling unauthorized home solicitation

I never complain, but today two men from a Company called POWER HOME REMODELING came to my house and knocked on the door. They try to disguise themselves as if they work for a Power Company, complete with ID Badges and uniforms. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.
Home Solicitation in the State of Florida is ILLEGAL, except when you apply for a permit. MOST companies, don't do this because when you apply for the permit, a fingerprint check is done on the individuals that are trying to solicit door to door.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY - POWER HOME REMODELING - RIVERVIEW FL.
First of all, they are operating and soliciting illegally. Just by theses actions, imagine if you bought something from this SQUID-BILLY company.
Secondly, the individuals that came to my door looked as if they were crackheads trying to rob my house!
Illegal Solicitation can be remedied by immediately calling the Sheriff's dept or your local police dept.
You can also file a lawsuit against the company POWER HOME REMODELING - RIVERVIEW FL, for illegal home solicitation, and file a tort for injuries you have suffered because of their illegal actions. This is probably the best way, as you can reap a reward from this TERRIBLE company.
Remember, video the whole conversation and tell them they are being video taped. Watch how fast they will run away.
I hope I was able to help other homeowners who must be injured by illegal solicitation.
I have already contacted an attorney and wish to pursue legal actions against this company. If you too have been affected by POWER HOME REMODELING - RIVERVIEW FL, leave a comment and possibly we can all get together to file a class action suit.

Power To The People!

Update by bebohobo

UPDATE- Here's the scam they use. They will come to your door and say that one of your neighbors is having new windows installed and they just want to let you know that there may be some noise. Also, while they have your attention, they will pitch you a [censored] scam on how they can offer you NOW an estimate on your windows. They will try to keep talking, and talking. CALL THE SHERIFF'S DEPT IMMEDIATELY and report this.
Do not open you door to these illegal solicitors.

Power Home Remodeling sales tactics/cost/taking advantage of elderly

Sold my 90 year old mother vinyl siding and a new roof, cost of siding 27, 000, cost of roof 24, 000 on a 2400 sf one story ranch box. Came down $5 when she said she couldn't afford the $29, 000 roof estimate (told her they'd throw in the 2 skylight replacements for free). Needless to say, she was careful not to tell me until she had signed the contracts and had the work done (I live out of state). She had to take out a home equity loan to pay. This is an outrageous amount to money for a 2, 400 sf house that is essentially a box AND 20% of the house is brick so it needed even less siding than a typical 2, 400 sf house. I'm considering filing a complaint with the Attorney General. As far as I'm concerned this is elder abuse.

Power Home Remodeling dumpster delivery

I am due to have my roof replaced On Monday and Tuesday, November 12th & 13. The dumpster arrived at 7:00 A.M. It was on a flatbed and was put in my driveway. In lowering the arm of the flatbed, the machine caught on two trees and brought them down along with my cable wire. I now have no phone service, TV or internet at my home. My service is Verizon Fios. Plus there are two trees in front of my yard which were moved to the road by the man with the flatbed. I informed the police of the fact that there are two trees which Power or the dumpster company are responsible to move, but that the police should notify the local road department. I, also, want you to call Verizon Fios and have my service restored. The man with the roofing materials could not get his truck in the driveway to store the items, so they were put in the driveway near the road. There wasn't enough space for me to walk down to my car, but that will be resolved as the job is completed in two or three days.
I'm in the library to use the computer, so I do not have my job number.
Address of job: 194 Lincoln Ave. Little Falls, NJ

There is also a lot of debris from the trees on the road which needs to be cleaned up. And my garden border was disturbed. Hopefully, all these issues can easily be resolved.

Power Home Remodeling service

So, my parents 76 and 80, were harassed by these people. The salesman called my Dad once or twice a day for 2 weeks before he finally told them that they could come out if they wanted to, but he would never buy windows from these people because they were the most annoying sob's he'd ever talked to. They came out and gave us the pitch and dad caved. Said he wanted the attic re insulated and windows installed. $17k they quoted us for the attic and 7 windows. They scheduled the job for 2 months out. We got a call the week before they were to start saying that the manufacturer had not yet made our windows but they would like to come out and do the attic if that was ok. They would schedule the windows for another month out. So they came and did the attic and I must say...beautiful job. The electric bill went down $60 in the first month.

It's been a month and a half since we got the attic done and still no windows. We've moved our furniture and taken the drapes down twice. They scheduled the job for Thursday morning...so Wednesday night, we moved all of the furniture, took down the drapes. They called an hour before they were to be here saying the truck was caught up somewhere and they didn't have our windows. Scheduled the job for this morning between 11 and 1. It's now 1:40 and we still have not heard from them.

My husband has called them and asked what's going on and they said oh they were 10 minutes down the road...that was 20 minutes ago. Now someone is waiting in front of the house but no windows...

I think we will be cancelling our order.

Power Home Remodeling Roof estimate

Beware beware red flag's scam!
All these review's are not lies. This company preys on the elderly.24k for a new roof plus 9.9% up front intrest for 5 month's and after that 17.9% intrest for the remainder. And this is with a 810 credit score. (right). They won't take no for an answer. Do not let these scumbags in your home. They won't leave unless you get aggressive they claim I would fall thru my roof and I am over 300lbs I was up there tap dancing.. Yes we have a few leaks. But not 24k worth. Two other companies aleast gave us quotes over 10k less for the same job... Be warned powerhome is a scam..

Power Home Remodeling windows

I had 14 windows replaced and some of the wood around the window were rotted according to the agreement they were supposed to replace the rotten wood and they didn't. When I went to tell them the wood is rotten instead of addressing the issue they tell me to leave the working area. They installed many windows in rotted wood. Power employees came to replace the windows at 8 am and at 1:30 pm they already just wanted to go home. Two of the window screens were warped, they tried to fix them to no avail but they tell us not to push on the screens. We didn't push the screens but even if we had the screen should not get warped the way it was. I was unable to inspect many of the windows because now while I was talking to the project
manager (on the phone) they were just trying to replace the windows quickly to cover up the rotten wood. They are sneaky and should not be trusted. The "project manager" said he will come to my house "if he can" to address my concerns and he never showed up. I am not comfortable with Power and their unprofessional and offending behavior of their employees. I was never involved with such disrespectful people, I went outside to inspect some of the windows no one was speaking when I came out they started speaking and cursing in Spanish using words like "puta". And one of them spit (a nasty gooey spit) on my walkway while walking by me like he was spitting at me. Then one of them asked me were I was from (I guess maybe to see if I understood what they were saying) then when I told him were I migrated from he started laughing. I didn't understand what was so funny. Furthermore this is nothing considering what has already happed, under one of the windows there were shrubs which they destroyed (I'm including this because I feel that this was intentional). Don't buy into it when they tell you that you're going to have a "project manager" he will handle what ever you need, my project manager didn't even show up after I called him to address any of my concerns. I wish I read some of the comments on BBB and or Yelp before going with this shady company. Do not let this company come in your home. Do not work with this company. Beware wary of this shady company. I will never use this company again. I hope and PRAY that nothing goes wrong with the windows that they installed because I cannot have this disgraceful company named Power Home Remodeling Group LLC back in my home. I paid $10, 551.47 (ten thousand five hundred fifty one dollars and 47 cents) for this service.

Power Home Remodeling constant harassment after telling them no

Fall of 2016 they were walking door to door offering to set up for estimates. Initially we agreed. After deciding that we were not in a position financially to have any work done, we cancelled the estimate appt. Since that time 8-9 months now, we get daily phone calls, initially they were 3-4 times a day. Today I got another call from their local number [protected]. It is beginning again. Even though you tell them NO, they keep on calling. It is harassment. I will have to block their number. DO NOT ACCEPT THEIR OFFER FOR AN ESTIMATE UNLESS YOU PLAN TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THEIR QUOTE.

Power Home Remodeling horrible experience with estimate

RUN away if someone from Bj's approaches you for this home improvement company
2Guys came to our house and were there for 3hours and 45 minutes with a presentation of their windows.
BUT. worse then the time element was the fact that they walked in the garden to look at out side of windows THEN walked up my carpeted stairs to see the upstairs windows.
OMG...
I can't get the dirt off the carpet. You can see the actual foot prints.
This whole experience leaves me so upset.
Now I have to have the carpet re cleaned, when it was just done a short time ago.
No common sense...

Power Home Remodeling home estimate services

Earlier this month we received a call from the power home remodeling company about having someone from the company come and look at our house and giving us a free estimate on window replacement services as well as other home remodeling services that the company does.
We are brand-new home owners. We purchased our home for months ago and all of our windows in our home eventually need to be replaced so we were open to having someone come and do a free estimate. When the appointment was made the man on the phone that schedule the appointment made it sound like a very simple appointment where it would take a few minutes to have some windows and doors measured and then an estimate would be done. Then a few days later we had a man named Paul Saucelli come to our home at 3 o'clock in the afternoon and little did we know but this man would proceed to spend the next 2 1/2 hours in our home doing product explanations and demonstrations. My complaint isn't necessarily about Paul. He was very respectful, but honestly anyone with a brain would have seen that we have three small children and it's not exactly the best idea to spend 2 1/2 hours in someone's home explaining the product information when they have multiple small children and you are running them into dinner time. By the end we had to make it very clear to Paul that he needed to leave because we had to move on with our evening. And we had also made it very clear that we had just put a huge down payment on a house so there was no way we were ready to immediately commit to a $20, 000 home remodeling job. We were extremely impressed by the products that Paul showed us and we made it very clear to him that we intended on using the power home remodeling company in the future when we were ready financially to commit to everything that needed to be done.
My main complaint was the follow up that was done by the power home remodeling the company. I am very upset by what happened a few days later. After our presentation by power, Anderson windows showed up at our door wanting to do the exact same thing that Paul had just done for us a few days earlier. We turned Anderson windows away because we already had a very good estimate and we knew we wanted to go as in the future. However, as a follow up we received a phone call about a week or so after the initial consultation. The man on the phone from power home remodeling said that they were sending people back into the neighborhood to give homeowners discounted quotes on the exact same job that they had offered to do in the first place. I was not at all interested in having another product demonstration or another long speech done so when he called on the phone I made sure to repeat and ask about three different times on the phone if the man coming to our house was simply coming to give us a lower estimate on the window job. The man on the phone assured me multiple different times that all that the company was planning on doing was to drop off a brand-new quote and they had no intention of staying.
So we scheduled an appointment to have somebody drop off a new estimate. However much to my shock and amazement, when the second man came, which he never left a business card because he knew that we were pretty upset by what happened that evening, he came into our house at about 730 in the evening, and proceeded to tell us that he needed about 45 minutes of our time and he needed to re-measure our windows and give us a brand-new quote on the house. We were shocked because we had clearly said that we were not interested in having somebody come in and spend more of our time telling us about the products that we had already spent 2 1/2 hours hearing about. When the man asked if he could come in and measure our windows again and talk to us we said no. When we try to explain why we were interested in hearing another speech about windows he acted really defensive and upset. In fact he even confronted us and said that he never gets treated this way and was wondering why we were being so unkind to him as customers. It totally shocked and floored us that we would be treated this way by a company that we had already decided to commit $20, 000 to in the future. So we calmly explain again why we didn't want him to come in and spend 45 minutes of her time giving us a new estimate we just wanted the new lower estimate. The amazing part is in the end after he had kind of stopped around the house and acted all pissed at us – which it wasn't even our fault for the miscommunication – when he gave us the updated quote it was not one single dollar cheaper than the original quote. If anything it may have dropped a few dollars off of our monthly payment but that was with a cheaper window in one of our main windows that you were going to install for us. I would really like to hear from the company why there seems to be such poor customer service for such an expensive product that you want your customers to commit to. It's very difficult now for us to have any desire to have a future relationship with your company. I felt like this had to be addressed and I wanted to make sure that someone from customer service from the company heard about our situation. Thank you for your time.

Power Home Remodeling greatest salesman ever

If you are reading this, it’s not too late. What you did last night you swore you would never do. You are feeling shame and regret, you are a little confused, but over all you just feel dirty. But everything will be ok.

As an average looking middle aged man, I have never been pursued by a suitor. I have kicked and clawed for every date I have ever had. I have never been chased around a bar all night long, by the definite “no way” at 9pm, who turns into a “he’s not so bad” at 1am. Only to wake up the next morning a mess of regret and remorse.

But my experience with the Power Home Remodeling salesguy last night was the closest I will ever be to a one-night stand. But rest assured, dear reader, there is a Plan B. Read on.

You have a way that you choose who does work on your house. You have perfected your methods through the years as a homeowner. You check Angie’s List, you check Home Advisor, you get 2-4 contractors in to give you a quote, check references and make a decision on who would do the best job for your budget. This works.

You would never buy home improvements from a guy off the street. You would never do that, it’s crazy . . . . so why did you do it last night? Why? Was he that cute? Did he talk great game? Why did you let your guard down and say yes?

Honestly, with an unblemished record as a straight male, my sales guy was incredibly handsome and delightfully charming. In fact, as I write this, I still think he cares about me and my house. I fell hard and fast. Should I call him or wait for him to call me? So confused . . .

He was so casual and comfortable, just rattling off ideas, discounts, product info, chatty about life . . . but after reading all of the other reviews, he said the same things that all of the other sales guys said all over the country. It was all scripted and I fell for it! So heartbroken . . . . but do you think he’ll call?

Everything from the Power Boys, that case the neighborhood with the claim “we are doing work in the neighborhood” to the salesguy countering your initial “no” (after 3 hours of a very time-share like presentation) with a 15% discount for pictures and surveys was scripted. I am now completely fascinated by this company and want to see their HQ, attend their training and see how they do this.

THE THREE DAY GRACE PERIOD IS YOUR PLAN B! ACT QUICKLY!

From the reviews I read, the work may not be that bad. The most common complaint on the actual work was that people feel they paid too much and wish they would have shopped around. My salesguy claimed they had won Angie’s List Service Star, but that wasn’t true. In fact, if I were looking for a contractor on Angie’s List, I would have never even called Power based on their reviews. Too many complaints (and not sure how a company with so many Fs can still get an overall rating of A, Ms. Angie).

I signed the cancellation note and sent it the next day, certified letter, return receipt. Based on prior reviews, I tried to call them, just to let them know I cancelled and I wanted to head off any additional sales calls. One person mentioned that they try and get you by sending a “courier” over for the official cancellation, but that is actually another salesman who attempts to get the business by dropping the price even further. But they were not answering the phone, and I wasn’t going to leave a message. Then I got an email from the concierge, thanking me for the business and confirming the appointment with the job supervisor. I took that opportunity to reply, stating I had sent in the cancellation, and don’t waste both of our times sending a “courier” because he won’t get in my house and I will have the sheriff with me at the appointment. I got a very nice reply from the concierge, saying that our contract was null and they would not be sending any additional people or calling with other offers.

So it’s over and I am ok. It was a definite learning experience, exposing me to the finest sales pitch I have ever heard. Honestly, our roof does need work, but we are going to sell, so I just wanted a quote on a roof to have during sales negotiations. That is all I wanted. But I got so much more . . . I still think about him . . .

Thank you for this post. A dear friend of mine was bamboozled by this company and their covertly aggressive sales techniques - a 4 hour pitch - and had contract signer's remorse. She is a kind soul and they really took advantage of her to push their agenda and sale, when it is not the right thing for my friend. She is about to put her house on the market and does not need to spend $21K on new siding, etc. Shameful, this company. I am glad to have read of your experience, and have shared the courier bit - as that is what they are doing with her now.

Re. The Post on PHRG entitleled “Greatest Salesman Ever” I have to say you post was the greatest post ever! I literally felt like you were taking to me. I woke up after signing a contract for way overpriced windows and a roof with major regret. I immediately sent a telegram canceling. I got the courier the next day - even more handsome and charming than the first guy! Had all I could due to keep my wife from literally inviting this guy to come over for a cookout this weekend! I held steadfast after 4 attempts to give me a better offer - with so many scripted reasons why this would be possible. It was like shaking a tick! The weirdest experience I have ever had. Grateful it’s over - I think 🤔 thanks for your very entertaining and informative post!

Power Home Remodeling roofing estimate

extremely pushy sales tactics especially to the elderly. a simple estimate went 3 1/2 hours and the quote was $59, 000.00 for a new roof. when we said no (3 times) it kept dropping to all the way down to $29, 000.00. when we still said no, they left and we never heard back from them. how professional is that? screw the customer hard and if they don't bite, just screw em! never heard so much sales BS in my life. don't let them in your house. and if you do sign up (the good deal was for that day only) you can cancel within 72 hours but they have to come back out for you to sign a cancellation waiver. then the pressure and sales tactics start all over. STAY AWAY!

OMG, thanks for posting this. I had someone come to my door last night. I scheduled an appointment to have an estimate on my roof. At that time I said to the guy, I just want an estimate for the future, as I do not need a roof now and asked how long the estimate would take and they told me, oh, they will just measure and then show you some samples and that I would control how long it would take. I called and cancelled the appointment. Thank goodness I read these reviews.

Power Home Remodeling window replacement

My son and I were at The Houston Dog Show when we were approached by one of the people at the Power Home Remodeling Group exhibit about window replacements. I am in the market for window replacement and decided to listen to what this man had to say. First, there was a high pressure sales pitch about getting an estimate for a roof replacement which I don't need. Second, when I was emphatic about when I was available for my 'free estimate good for a year' the man attempted to change my mind on when the estimate would take place and we finally agreed on a time for the appointment, I had two phone calls the same night to 'confirm'. The appointment was to take place on Friday afternoon at 4:00 pm. Third, I received two MORE phone calls to confirm the time again on the day of the appointment. Fourth, 4:00 pm Friday came and went and I received a call at 4:45 pm from another person stating that the company 'cannot install windows in your neighborhood because of previous hurricane damage'. WHAT? This was discovered AFTER the five phone calls for the free estimate? Why was this company even at a public Expo trying to get customers when they knew this was a possibility? I just don't understand. Finally, do NOT waste your time on this company; clearly, they have an underlying agenda and utilize the opportunity to get addresses and phone numbers for something other than replacing windows.

Power Home Remodeling roofing estimate

Someone was walking neighborhoods trying to schedule roofing estimates... I was told it was a no pressure estimate with a 1 year price lock... again the key was no pressure so I agreed... the next day then guys arrived for an estimate as scheduled at 7pm... Nice guys and they dud a good job. They spoke about the company, did an inspection in the attic and showed me their roofing system... it was about 9pm at this point. Then came the fun part... pricing...

Entire roof system for about $36K grand included the roof, attic insulation and gutters. Just the roof (1600 Sq ft roof) for $23, 000. That's the 1 year year lock in price. Then came the RIGHT NOW PRESSURES ON PRICE of $28K for the entire system and $18K for the roofing. "We have to go make a phone call and will be right back" Meaning you guys should talk about it. (Note - to get an estimate your wife or partner must be present - now i get why). It's now 10pm. They came back with better pricing with some "programs" like "before and after pictures" and the price dropped a grand...Back outside for another phone call (claim they talked with the boss but really, at 10:15 pm)... it's now 1030PM... They came back and ask "so what do you want to do"... I said take your pricing and call you about it"... I can see they weren't happy and proceeded to tell me they canceled 10 estimates to come here and could have lost a $70K job... this is the feel bad tactic they pull at the end of the day...at this point my wife went to bed and they asked me to wake her up to get her decision! REALLY GUYS? I told them "I'm now kicking you out". It was 1045 pm... the estimate should have taken about 1 hour not almost 4.

I can see how this company is in business, people who use them are just stupid and have money to throw around without actually doing any price comparisons... sure the product is better than most but not double or triple... got 2 other quotes for $6800p and $7600. I'm sure they do a great job but again, is it worth 2 or 3 times the price? Probably not!

Bottom line... call someone else for less BS and save yourself the trouble..or know what your getting into so you can tell them not to bother.

I'll be calling them back at some point for that RIGHT NOW price for down the road, and I'll tell them what I want to pay for it... send the pressure right back to them.

Just to tell you look at the qualifications for working for them. You need a crew insurance truck and tools. With only 1 year experience. So they just sell and sub. Who knows what your getting back. I've been roofing over 20 years and lost count of how many of those jobs I've fixed

Power Home Remodeling misleading sales presentation

Dealing with Power has been one of the worst experiences I’ve had with any firm. Before going into the whole narrative I’ll list the three worst parts. 1 – Their measurements for the size of the house were inflated by about 30%. 2 – they used the insulting practice of giving a ridiculously high “ guaranteed “ price and then offering a ”same day only” discounted price – which interestingly enough was about 30% lower. 3 – This is the worst in my opinion. They sold our credit info to some anonymous group of contractors. etc. Of course they say you can opt out. All you have to do is contact the group and give them your name, birth date, and social security number. What could be wrong with that?

We had told the initial contact that we were not in the market at this time. We just wanted an estimate for the future. No problem we were told. Our rep will come and do some measurements and you’ll get your estimate. When the rep arrived we told him twice – before he began his presentation – that we were not buying. He said he understood and would be brief. If you consider three hours brief then he kept his word – in the same way Power does.

As others noted they don’t have any variety in colors or design. Why does it take three hours? Because they want to wear you down. After measuring the house he worked on his tablet for about 10 minutes all the while mumbling about how big the house was and how much vinyl was involved. It is not a big house. By the way he measured the gutters at 60 feet – the house is 50 feet long. It is an average raised ranch. Then he came up with the inflated price – over $50, 000.00. He then excused himself for a minute and I told my wife that he was going to come back with a price below $40, 000.00. And of course he did but in order to get it we had to sign that day. We told him again that we were not buying. It did no good. It just unleashed a series of manager’s discounts and other specials.

We asked if we could contact him later. He said no. They were not allowed to give out their phone number or email address for “privacy” reasons. So you can’t get in touch with them. This was driven home when I went to their web site to complain about the credit info. You can only contact them for sales info – there is no way to question them or get any info other than sales.

When he saw his sale vanishing he started offering partial jobs. One was the gutters and soffits for $3200.00. I had a local contractor come for an estimate. He said that the front didn’t need any work and he did the back gutters for under $800.00. The soffits didn’t need any work. Beware of what they tell you is needed. Get another estimate before signing anything. Their rep also told us a bunch of ridiculously exaggerated horror stories about what might happen. Several of the spikes had come out of the gutters. According to him rain was going to get into the small holes, run down the sides of the house, infiltrate the foundation and ruin it. As the holes were smaller than a dime and under the eaves of the roof, this was absurd. There were other wild stories but I think I’ve said enough.

Power Home Remodeling window installation/customer care

On october 29th, i decided to choose "power"" windows after 3 exhausting presentations. I always loved the product but hated the high pressured sales tactics leaving me uneasy with the company, i couldn't understand an $8700 price difference from one day to the next. My 3rd salesperson gave me a quote of $32, 000 for 16 windows and installation. When i questioned the $13, 000 differenced from my last quote he informed me that all of my windows needed buck frame installation. I quickly got on the phone with my contractor and he and the rep got in a back and forth about brick to brick vs. Buck frame installation. The slick rep cut their conversation short and we decided to meet back at my rental as it had already been 3 hours. I quickly contacted my contractor and learned that he could do the buck frames at less than a third of what power was charging me. The rep said this would not be problematic and this brought the price down to about $20, 000. He told us the frames had to be installed by november 10 so i paid for the installation specifically for the "power windows". The final inspector came on nov 10, and gave us an installation date of december 15. Five days later "power" contacted me stating they couldn't do the job due to unsafe conditions (Funny, the state declared my house safe for work) and mentioned that there was no power (Which there was) after i pushed back mentioning the power in my home, the work permits and the buck frame installation specifically for their windows their customer care rep said he'd call me back. About 15 minutes i received his return call. Now there was a new reason why they chose not to install. The buck frame installation was incorrect (Mind you their inspector said nothing in his final installation), really! Not only did his "family" company cost me at least 2 months delay on my build but over $3500 in buck frame installation. I requested compensation for the buck frames which now will be removed for the better brick to brick installation and have yet to hear from their vice president as promised. This family company cares nothing about family. I had a house fire on april 2, and counted on the window installation in order to comlete everything else and get back in my home for the holidays. Power windows has no heart or integrity.

Power Home Remodeling pushy arrogant door to door salesman

How do I get taken off your knock list? For the last three years they have been coming to my home in Toms River, NJ and I have absolutely ZERO interest in the sales pitch or the product so how can I get them to stop knocking on my front door to annoy me every six months? I am a disabled veteran and do not want to be bothered please!

Power Home Remodeling window estimate - customer relations

Salesman knocked on our door asking if we'd like a free estimate on replacement windows, of which we are in need. My husband said sure, and had to set up an appointment with a salesperson for the following evening. Thought it odd that the first salesman asked my husband to sign a form, which he did, negating the company from being put on the do not call list. I scolded my husband for signing and told him that, at the very least, if we don' t buy their windows, our phone number/address will probably be sold to thousands of businesses. The next evening, a saleslady arrived, and I immediately told her that we would not entertain any estimates from the company unless my husband's signature on their do not call list was rescinded and we received something in writing from the company to this effect. She then measured, and gave a TWO hour sales pitch. This was excruciating, but what was even worse was when she was demonstrating to us about the strength of the tempered glass which Power Home Remodeling Group uses. Her pitch was that the tempered glass was so strong in Power brand windows that it would withstand being hit over a nail that had been driven into a wood board and still not break. She proceeded to hammer a nail into a piece of wood on my baby blue carpeted living room floor, take a regular size window with their tempered glass, and smash it over the nail head. Imagine our faces when the glass shattered and sprayed thousands of pieces of glass across the room, throughout the hall, and even down the stairs into our family room. We swept, we vacuumed, we moved furniture, and we picked up pieces by hand for what seemed like forever. The saleslady cut her hand while picking up pieces of glass, so I had to take her to my bathroom to clean and bandage her wound. We told her to forget the rest of the presentation and just leave the estimate, as we were exhausted by the presentation and the cleaning and could tell she was flustered to the point of almost crying. She said she was not supposed to leave before figuring up the estimate but went to the porch to call the company for permission to return the estimate to us at a later date. The company said no, that she needed to figure her numbers and leave the estimate with us before leaving. This took another, very uncomfortable, 20 minutes. The estimate was for $17, 000.00 (15 double hung Windows & 1 picture window). We will not be purchasing windows from Power Home Remodeling Group, but I thought I'd wait a week before reviewing this company to see if anyone from the company bothered to call and apologize or offer us any kind of remuneration or further discount, or even follow up on the sales pitch and estimate that was given, AND THEIR HAS BEEN NOTHING. And then there's the matter of the do not call list...

Power Home Remodeling dont let them in, they dont want to hear no

A friend of a friend told me they worked for a window company and i thought to myself great because my family has been looking for new windows. I talked to the rep of the company and he said he would set us up for a free estimate. So i set the date and it was one of the worst mistakes of my life. Two guys came and they seemed to be polite and kind. They then began to give us a very informative demonstration of the windows. My family thought this was very nice and we kept asking for a price range but it was never given. Then after a hour he looked to see all our Windows. They explained that our windows were in bad shape and we needed windows fast. Then he asked to go in the attic and explain we needed new windows in there too.so we went downstairs and asked for a price and he said 32, 000. We said that was way too much. He explained that we could fiance. We told him we need to think about it so they left the house to go to their car and said come get them after we had made a decision. So we got him and we told them we would shop around to other companies first. Immediately their attitudes changed, they told us if we didnt sign the contract now the price would double. We again said no thank you then. They kept pushing it and slightly hinting that we are stupid to pass up such a great deal .they then became very rude to my family.after 4 hours of us going back and forth we said ok we ll just get one window to see how you guys do.we told them we ll pay cash though. He explained that we wouldn't have to pay until thr work was done.my family thought ok good, they were rude before but now they seemed polite again. The he asked for my uncle's ss number and my uncle asked why did he have to give it if we re paying cash at the end. They said we still have to run your credit but if you dont want to give it to us it ll be a third down.my uncle doesn't like when stories change and he said yoy didn't tell us that before and said very politely no thank you, we ll shop around. They then became rude again and said the home owners associating would make us get the windows replaced and left in a storm of anger saying we were not smart to accept this deal.my family had enough and started ignoring them until they left. Do yourself a favor if you dont plan on getting Windows that day and if you dont want to spend 20k for Windows, do not make an appointment with these rude unprofessional people

Power Home Remodeling horrible sales tactics

We are casually looking for a new roof. We've had a couple people offer to give us an estimate, which they would climb on our roof and within about 15 minutes give us an estimate and some brief info. I had some Power solicitors stop by two weeks ago and offer to give an estimate, but they couldn't that day, so I rescheduled for the following. They insisted, as did the person confirming on the phone, the person reminding me about the appointment, and the people who came to estimate it, that my wife HAD to be there. I mentioned to each of them that my wife lets me make all the decisions and really is disinterested in learning about the roof or deciding on it, but I still made sure she would be there. On the day of the appointment which was scheduled at 5, one guy came to the house and said his partner is running about 15-20 minutes behind. So I sat and talked with the gentleman about random things. When his partner showed up, he was friendly, but essentially wanted to ask the same irrelevant questions that his partner had asked. About 45 minutes into everything, I had to break the conversation and ask to get started. They eventually got setup and brought out powerpoints on an iPad. At this time my wife came home and they immediately bombarded her with several questions irrelevant to roofing as soon as she walked in. When she joined the discussion which had yet to officially start, we sat through an analogy ridden, tangential speech about the history of the company, why Power was number one, information on roofing in America, the company's ranking, and a charity that they support. Still nothing had yet to be discussed regarding the roof and it was now 6:30 and we had started to tell them that we were simply looking for an estimate, yet the two men continued with their script. My wife politely left, much to the behest of the two gentleman. The two men said its so very important she is here, but she was tired, hungry, and had work to do. I continued to listen to their speech and eventually in the dark of night with flashlights they looked at the roof. They told me I had characteristics of an old roof due to a snow mound that had built, yet the houses on my street with newly placed roofs had the same issue. They demanded to go into my attic, which I obliged, hoping to get this closer to my simple estimation request. After everything, they told me what several other roofers said, which was I don't need a new roof yet, though their estimate placed the need to replace much earlier than everyone else. We sat back down and they told me they really needed my wife and asked several times and I said she was not interested. They told me instead of a new roof, they could line my attic with essentially aluminum foil. They brought in a large box with light bulbs and had me conduct a science experiment, taking temperatures and timed intervals, even though I already knew the outcome. I told them needed the estimate and I needed it at this moment, as it was now an approaching two hours. I brought my wife down and she was very upset. I couldn't believe the two guys proceeded to tell my wife everything I just sat through for an hour, effectively wasting both our time. My wife (and I) who still hadn't eaten dinner since we were in the kitchen, essentially asked the two guys to stop giving analogies, told them she felt like a prisoner in our own house, told them they really didn't need her there, and that they were stalling for whatever reason. I've never seen my wife so upset as she left. They told me they could give me an estimate and I was shocked, the aluminum foil in the attic would cost $10, 500, HALF THE COST of a new roof!? I couldn't believe I waited this long and for something that would barely lower my heating bills and barely prolong my roof, this was absurd. Immediately, the gave an analogy about its a new sub and cut $1, 500 off the price. Without me doing any negotiation, they said they felt bad they upset my wife and would give me the attic for $7, 000. I politely said I'd think about it. They asked where a good place to eat was, which I thought was friendly discourse as they were leaving. It was merely just another tactic to con me into this company. He said they would eat dinner at the place I recommended, but they could comeback after and we could let them know if we will choose them. I told them I couldn't believe the nerve that after my wife (and I) are visibly upset and annoyed, they would tell me I HAD to make a decision on the spot. I will NEVER choose this company and if I hear anyone thinking about Power Remodeling, I will tell them to definitely not. We are laid back people, but our generosity has never been tested this much. I'm so disappointed. This whole "estimate" took more than an hour and a half of our lives that we will never get back.

I agree with this complaint. We had someone from Power Remodeling Group come late afternoon yesterday for a roof estimate. My significant other met a friendly young man outside for the estimate. The young man constantly asked where I was and my significant other told him I would not understand what he was talking about and that I was unavailable. The young man stated he did not need to measure the roof because they do that by drown views ! My significant other asked this young man about Construction Supervisors licenses and Building Codes, which this young man had no idea what he was talking about. Finally, after several requests of where I was, when would I be home etc. the man finally got the idea I was not available and stated he would call to make another appointment to give us our estimate. After being outside with this young man for an hour and a half, getting all kinds of run around, I don't think we need their estimate for anything.
