PoF.com / Plenty of Fish keeps saying it's free but it's not

It used to be free, they have to stop advertising free, they are not free. Do they think that we are all that desperate to pay? There are others out there that are free, like connecting singles. I don't know how long they will remain free, but they are free as of november 2016. Just be ware of all the scammers. There's tons of them on free sites and paid ones. Pay special attention to this pic I uploaded and circled in red. It says you never have to pay to e mail someone. Liars! Big time false advertising.

Can you provide a picture of where it is asking you to pay to send the email? They do offer upgraded memberships that have a cost associated but it should not affect messaging.

PoF.com / Plenty of Fish worst site ever!

I can't cancel my account and have no idea what to do! I hate this website, PlentyOfFish is full of scammers and clowns, there aren't people there who are in search of a relationship. There are many fake profiles there made by cheaters who just want to make fun of others!
I decided to unsubscribe, so I contacted customer support and asked them to close my account but they never did that! I need their help, but they are ignoring me! Worst site ever!

PoF.com / Plenty of Fish dating scam / internet fraud

About a month ago I was contacted by a POF member ; he wooed me for three weeks until he had me comfortable enough to do something for him; he gave me banking info to transfer a large sum of money ($540, 000) from an offshore account to Turkey (of all places). I did it but immediately afterward I got the feeling that I may have done something illegal. The following day he wanted me to do it again (same amount of money, same receiver of funds). I was unable to do it because bank put a hold on account and removed the "link" to make a transfer. The very next day he asked me if I could help him out on the construction project he was doing in Turkey; asked me to send him $50k and when the project was finished he would pay me back when he came back to US (me). Well, I was born but not yesterday and did not do it. I think that there are some women out there so desperate for love that they may fall prey to this scam. I blocked his phone numbers immediately but was unable to block him texting me; he made a last ditch effort to persuade me to send him money. I stood up to him this time and told him I would not send him any amount of money for any reason and suddenly the conversation went from love to "shove your money up your ###" and he hung up. Hopefully he will not try to reconnect with me. I turned his scheme into both the FTC & FBI. Ladies*****PLEASE don't fall for a scam like this or anything similar. First red flag is that he had to fly to Canada, Turkey, etc. and he will be back to be in my arms in a couple of weeks. DO NOT FALL VICTIM TO SUCH SCAMS. I consider myself to be an intelligent woman with street smarts, but this is much different and you can be swallowed up into it before you know it!

PoF.com / Plenty of Fish refund, charges that I was not aware of

POF dating website is the biggest scam dating website I've ever known. I did not realize the crazy amount that it cost. As soon as I seen it, which was less then 24 hours later, that I did, I called, emailed for a refund. I gave them all the information of my bank, my name, my profile name, last 4 digits on my credit card twice and the still won't give me my money back. So, now I'm, I've filed a suit and called, emailed the better business bureau in there country. I won't stop till they are shut down and till I die. I WILL FIGHT TILL THE DAY I DIE!

PoF.com / Plenty of Fish beware of user looking for women with money

TheKingofPrussia is a POF user in PA who pretends to be educated and has his own money when in fact he is looking for an educated and established woman to prey upon. He has been on POF under previous users Wick303 and Mzg303. He's conned wonen out of thousands of dollars by pretending to be in a relationship but it's all an act. He is angry and bitter over his divorce 8 years ago and uses POF to take it out on women by wooing them and then using them to support him financially. He does not have a college degree as his profile claims, any friends or interests. His name is Glenn Wicker and he is from Millville, NJ. Be careful and don't be fooled by the act, it's all designed to make women feel bad for him and he uses their vulnerability and compassion to take their money. Scam artist is an understatement.

PoF.com / Plenty of Fish huntingapredator.com blackmail scam

Warning, there is an illegitimate child predator hunting group baiting scamming, public shaming then blackmailing men operating on the site plenty of fish. This anonymous group of criminals out of long Island N.Y. post fake profiles of women from the age of 18 to 26. The profiles usually contain only one picture and will show up in a New York area search. From what I researched about them, they initiate contact only to sometimes reveal they(the decoy) is a girl of 14 years of age (in my case the fictitious person remained 26 until changed later on their site). At that point of contact if one continues to engage them, the chat log is being screen shot. For further use on their site and evidence against you. Usually the conversation transfers to text messaging or Kik which logs are also screenshot to use against you. The men usually ask for pictures several time of the”girl” and none are given. Usually “she” will send a picture of something “she” colored and ask you for one back only to humiliate you further. BEWARE: the decoy will ask you for very specific information such as full name, address, occupation, employer and other details about your personal life to substantiate you are who you say you are. At this point, they have your name, phone number, social networks and emails. Short time after you will receive an anonymous Skyped phone call, the will call several times back to back. When you get on the phone they will try to scare you into a confession/ admission of guilt. They will even fool you into thinking everything will be worked out without going to court. Oops, too late at this point, the whole conversation has been recorded to used against you ( as it was for me, or atleast they tried). The conversations will be uploaded to Speaker, Sound cloud and YouTube. In my case, I received another call not recorded or posted suggesting I make a donation to have my photos and fake and altered chat logs removed. HOWEVER, more disturbing, your entire “case” will be posted to their site with tags to your name, email and other associated accounts. That means when someone Googles your name, you will show up as a child predator. And they got you. If you email them it will still be used against you unless you pay them or “make a donation” I say shame on you to Plentyoffish.com for allowing this.

Be warned,

Ernest Joyner

I have used pof on several occasions to meet people and had an upgraded account. My profile is deleted and they are still taking money out of my account, 4 times in November I have emailed them many times but they apparently don't give a crap about ripping people off.

PoF.com / Plenty of Fish scams

I was on Plenty of Fish for a couple of years and met a lot of scammers. I got used to their games so that I could detect them early on. Recently, I met a scammer, who pretended that he was really nice and liked me. I knew it was too good to be true. He sent me messages on Plenty of Fish, then he asked if I had been talking to anyone else on there. I told him I came across a couple of scammers. He almost immediately left the site, so I knew that he was one. He told me a lie about his exwife wanting to get back together. Then he was calling me every other day and pretending to like me. Two days ago, he left me a message with insulting comments and told me that he had my personal information, so I better not contact him again. I reported him to law enforcement.

There are psychopaths and scammers on POF and other dating sites, it's true. But I've actually met a few nice people, too. I have mixed feelings about online dating sites, but I'm still on several of them. I also screen very carefully. I've reported harassers and stalkers a few times. But to this day, I have 2 good friends I met on POF that I've been friends with 3 years. I have one friend I met on OK Cupid that I've been friends with for 4 years. As for dating, I haven't had great luck, but I wouldn't call them actual scammers. Unfortunately, online dating sites appear to draw a lot of disordered types. Some are trying to date multiple people and lying about it. I wouldn't exactly call it a scam, but it certainly borders on it.

PoF.com / Plenty of Fish I'm 27 and received horrible messages and photos from 60 year old ladies!

This site is terrible and full of crazy people! I joined PlentyofFish and wanted to find a nice girl. I'm 27, but all I got was grandmas aged 50-70! I was totally disgusted! I told them that I'm not interested, but they continued to email me! I was sick of getting these messages, some of them even sent me nasty pictures! They said how handsome I was and that they wanted to meet me in real life. I contacted customer service and asked for some advise, but they said there was nothing they could do! When I joined PlentyofFish I even paid money for their service and I never expected this to happen! Absolutely disgusted!

PoF.com / Plenty of Fish free dating claims to be the number one dating site

I am a really nice guy and had my profile on there for a long time. I met this german girl on there and just casual talk only a couple of times. I thought that was what you were suposed to do to meet people. This girl all of a sudden blocked me for no reason at all. This was rude and I had no idea that she did not want me to say even hello. I did not harass her or even talk to her but only a couple of times. I found this site to allow woman to do this sort of conduct to not only me but others. Its rude and clearly a game for all these girls. They are protected and you get not even an apology but a treat to take your profile off. I saved them the time because this was so rude that I dont want to ever deal with this site again. I just want others to know the attitude of this site and hope they wont get what I got. As I said, im very well liked by everyone and im not anything like I got treated. By the way the german girl goes by the name of fraeuleins yes she is evidently a game player and no wonder its free you get all those kind of people on this site. Not someone I would every want to meet on this site if their all like her.

PoF.com / Plenty of Fish fake profiles, fake messages!

I've been using this site for a few months now and must say that this dating site is as horrible as many others. You get only stupid fake messages from fake people. When I just signed up I received tons of messages from people and all the messages were the same. They actually have a group of employees who are paid for sending fake emails. Then I got a message from a woman who said she was in love with me and really enjoyed my company. What a joke! I never sent her a message, and I never even saw her profile! My recommendation is to stay far away from this dating site. Better save your hard earned money and forget about dating sites at all! These fakes will never make you happy.

PoF.com / Plenty of Fish disgusting website!

If you are a lady then avoid this site at all costs. It is full of perverted men. I joined PlentyOfFish but decided to cancel my account. I wanted to meet someone special, but received dirty message and horrible pictures! I contacted POF customer care and told them about sexual abusive messages that I received. They did nothing to help and never replied! Do not go there ladies, this site is ridiculous. By the way, I'm still trying to cancel my account, but cannot do it, and their costumer support is absolutely useless.

PoF.com / Plenty of Fish horrible site!

They do not approve profiles or photos. They absolutely do not care what is happening in their site! People can post anything they want! There are lot of fake profiles there, and POF knows about that, but does absolutely nothing. If you don't delete your profile it remains on POF. Even if you have not been online for years. If you have some issues, you can report anyone or complaint, but POF will not do anything about it. The site is actually free and they get their money from advertising. So they need a lot of users. Horrible website. Avoid it! POF is just a waste of time, full of fakes and customer support in non-existent.

PoF.com / Plenty of Fish nightmare!

POF is the worst dating service ever! I decided to join it but was very disappointed. I subscribed but all I got was fake profiles, scammers and unhappy ladies that are trying to take a revenge on men. I was very polite to these women. But suddenly I realized that my profile was deleted! I contacted customer service and asked what was going on. They said that some ladies reported me because I turned down some of them. I tried to explain that I haven't done anything wrong and they can check my profile, messages and etc. But the POF management completely ignored me. Horrible website!

If you are looking for serious relationship then avoid this horrible website. The guys on the site are disgusting! I received many dirty messages, with horrible photos and when I complained about it, customer service did absolutely nothing! PlentyOfFish is full of men telling you about their tools, asking what type of panties you wear, and other foolishness. I even received a message from one guy who said he wanted to bite me! I deleted my profile several days ago. And I'm not coming back. I only regret that I wasted my time on POF. Not worth it.

PoF.com / Plenty of Fish fake profiles

I've been a member for about a year. The site is actually free, but there is an opportunity to get a membership. When I signed up and paid for it I expected to get some special bonuses, but that membership gives nothing. The only thing you get is to see if the person you messaged actually read your message. Not to mention that most of the women on the site are fake. Most of the profiles are made up by POF staff. When you send them a message they usually don't reply no matter how handsome you look. When I signed up I received tons of messages from lots of women. But all the messages were computer generated, because they all were the same. When you ask a woman for a date she just disappears, because she is fake and she actually cannot meet you in real life.
I'm done with these fakes!

PoF.com / Plenty of Fish absolutely horrible.

I joined Pof few months ago. I really don’t understand myself, but I was so desperate and lonely, so I had no other choice than looking for love online. Most of the females, on sites like Pof, are not females at all, and, if they are then they are handling multiple accounts. Actually most of the people on Pof are scammers and don’t want any relationships, they need only money. I have personally worked at sites such as these and pretended to be a female and had answered thousands of emails for men. So, when I joined Pof I realized that this website is a scam as well. People, just forget about dating sites!
