Philip Morris duped OSHA and was able to circumvent their dust monitoring requirements. Employees complained to our senator Charles Robb who passed the buck to OSHA and OSHA passed the buck. Today, because of all the dust in the plant, most of the employees are suffering from silicosis whic results in unbelievable breathing issues. The Environmental Department of Altria is aware of this problem and just covers it up because they are afraid of lawsuits from the employees.

I have been smoking Marlboro Reds-Flip Top for 40 years and lately have noticed that they burned almost twice faster and are loosely packed with less tobacco. I though I got counterfeit cigarette pack so returned them to store. Called Philip Morris and they told me formulation and content had not changed. Bought a another pack, without the newer package...

In whose right mind made cigarettes legal? It's down right despicable! Cigarettes are drugs! They should be banned from being sold in stores. People are dying! People are paying their hard earned cash for trash and to shorten their life span. If doctors get fired for malpractice, why are poisons permitted to be sold in stores? Cigarettes contain so many toxic's its disgusting. Carbon monoxide is one of them. Yet people get told to evacuate a building if it becomes filled with such contaminants. The Tobacco industry needs to be shut down. It has gone on one year too many. How dare people profit from selling poisons. Death sticks in a box I tell you! Cancer sticks! Restaurants get shut down all the time for not being clean enough, and other health related errors. Why not the Cigarette industries?
Some people are so hooked they don't have the strength to quit, and it seems the only way to get them to quit is to forbid stores from selling them. Their just in it for the money, typical.

Fire safe cigarettes are not safe! let's forget the facts that they are annoying, that they go out as you are smoking them, that you have to drag harder to keep them lit... they are not safe when the fire goes behind the "safe" section and the cherry falls in your lap, they are not safe when the ash drops on you at the "safe" section. this has been one action that has made me determined to quit smoking. the fda and the government do not have the guts to just shut tobaco production down, which they would do with any other product that was proven to kill people, no... they just make it unbearably expensive, make them "fire safe", make us feel like second-class citizens for what is legal. I for one am sick of it. we should all just give it up and quit. then they will have to pick on someone else for a while. beware all you overweight people... you are next to be targeted. mark my words.

i totally agree with the comment that fire safe paper sucks and the cherry does fall off and when you are driving and it lands in your lap or your seat while your looking for it or recieving a blister you could cause an accident and i believe if you throw the cig out your vehicle window and a cop seen it you will still get a ticket for probable fire starter. so the paper is just a pain to us smokers.

I am 37 and have been smoking for the past 17 years. The same brand. Every time. Never changed. Always Marlboro Menthol lights. But after the past three cartons tasting like a#@... Finding tree trunks in my ashtray... And constantly having to re-light an already nasty tasting smoke to get my money out of it...
I've changed brands! Course, I changed to an off brand called L&M. Then heard they were produced by Philip Morris TOO! But, they smoke just like my cigs of old and NO NASTY FLAVOR INVADES MY MOUTH! I can't really taste any difference between them and that OTHER brand ~ well, maybe just a tad. But, Im not going to lose my security deposit on my rental because the carpet is full of holes either. So, I guess I could write some letters or call a multi-millionaire or two... complain and sob and demand till my mouth and lungs scream for another cancer stick! But then hey... Maybe I'll just stop buying there damn brands and maybe... just maybe... they'll come calling on me?!?!?!?

I have been smoking Marlboro’s for 30 years and just within the past month have noticed they are burning up twice as fast. The price keeps going up and the amount of product I’m paying for is less and less. They think they are making more money but they just lost a customer of 30 years.

I am complaining about the information Phillip Morris is giving out about the FSC cigarette. If you call them to voice your opinion about these cigarettes, they lie to you and tell you it is just a different paper. ALl you need to do is look up EVA, which is the chemical in these cigarettes and know that it is not safe to inhale. I did get very sick from this chemical. Everyone may not be getting sick right away, but in the long run, after time, it will affect everyone smoking this chemical. Phillip Morris should be honest and inform people, their loyal customers, what this chemical is and how it can affect you. If in fact the public was told about this and then still chose to smoke these cigarettes, then that would have been fair. But to just put a dangerous chemical into the cigarettes and not let anyone make that choice is wrong. I will not stop talking about this until something is done! People are going to die from this added chemical. Please stop it now.

Why do we need to have more chemicals added to our cigarettes? The FSC cigarettes are giving me a terrible sore throat and they taste different. I always enjoyed smoking but now it sucks.
