Subject: warning to members

Aloha,

i am 71 now, have been taking "centrum silver" for the last year or so to get my "vitamins" and additional nutrients which i may not have been getting with my normal diet.

During this time i have been experiencing gas, heavy belching, stomach and bowel irritation, bloating. i thought i was having an issue i would have to be medically tested for at great expense to myself.

I began looking up the ingredients in "centrum silver", and lo and behold these things were listed as producers, or "possible side effects" of the vitamins by "pfizer" .

I also experienced during the time i was taking "centrum silver", agitation, loss of sleep and general irritability.

Upon realization that the vitamins were causing these deleterious effects, i immediately threw out the remainder of the recent bottle of "centrum silver" !

The next day and to the present day i have not had any of these symptoms or maladies, the membership should be aware of this as i had also started eliminating various foods prior to this revelation, now i can eat my favorites again.

Please share this,

Thank you!

Pfizer viagra

3/13/2017 Last week, Viagra was $51 a pill. This week it's $67 a pill. I have been using Viagra since 2008, at which time it was $15 a pill. I have been continually gouged by this company for nearly ten years, but no more. I am through paying for some corporate fat cat's bonuses and vacation homes. I am finished being raped by these heartless, greedy evil people. I will not spend another single penny on anything from Pfizer. Done.

Pfizer fake stresstabs sold in one of the known drug stores in cebu city, philippines

I just bought fake Stresstabs multivitamins. I notice the difference of its packaged with the one I bought in another known drugstore. The expiration date that suppose to be put in each of its tablet package was not followed. If their is a way that I can show to you the product I bought for pfizer to verify and investigate if its really a fake one and provide legal actions. I was concerned with the effect of this multivitamins in our body I was not sure if it is safe to take or not. Please don't ignore my complaint because it is for public safety. Continue distribution of this fake drugs may cause damages on your name. Here is my contact number +63 [protected] for you to check the product and please let me know where to submit this complaint.

Pfizer zoloft

I was prescribed Zoloft for depression, and subsequently took it for several years. After moving back to NC I stopped taking the medication. Soon afterwards I noticed my neck twisting ever so slightly towards the right. After seeing an increase in this unwanted motion, I sought medical attention and was diagnosed with cervical dystonia. I'm currently suffering with ongoing pain associated with the cervical dystonia. Every aspect is effecting my life. I want to know exactly what information you have on the connection of Zoloft and cervical dystonia. My life is falling apart around me and I need some answers.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Pfizer rx pathways patient assistance program

Jan 1, 2016 thru April 25, 2016:

I've been taking Lyrica for years for nerve pain. Last year the cost went from $25 per month to $70 per month. I could barely afford it, but had no choice other than to pay for the product. I thought the price might go down after Jan. 1; however, my co-pay increased to $125. I applied to the RX Assist program with Pfizer. My Application was approved and the product was shipped on or about 2/4/2016.

I have been out of Lyrica since approximately 3/4/2016. Today is April 25, meaning I have been out of Lyrica for almost 2 months. My doctor's office has faxed a refill to Pfizer every way possible, and I've been lied too many times to count. I have begged. I have pleaded. I have cried. I have screamed. My doctor's office has called while I stood in their office and listened to the conversation, yet the company denies ever receiving those calls. I'm told it takes "24 to 48 hours" for Pfizer to receive those faxes and begin processing the refill, but nobody can tell my why it takes that long, or why nobody takes the faxes off the machine as they come in and verifies that the prescription is complete so the patient doesn't run out of medication.

My doctor's office (or I) has been given alternative fax numbers and "attention to" names on several occasions.

During my doctor's appointment on April 4, the staff called to find out why I hadn't gotten my refill. The Pfizer representative told my doctor's office that I should call after 48 hours to check progress. When I did, their automated information line indicated the refill was in process. This left me waiting for my medicine to arrive. Of course it never came.

On April 14 my doctor's office was contacted to (allegedly) determine that the refill order had come from his office. According to Pfizer, "Tim Y (at my doctor's office) was unable to verify that the prescription refill was faxed from the doctor's office. Basically the process started over, and I was told to check with them later. Again, their automated line indicated the refill was in process.

My doctor was told that his electronic signature was not sufficient. I have no idea what that means, but the doctor's office got the doctor's signature and faxed the refill again.

On April 20, 2016 my doctor's office called and was given a specific fax number and name and specific instruction as to what had to be included for the refill. The refill, containing the doctor's actual signature, the banner, and all other requirements was sent.

On Friday, April 22, I called Pfizer again, and the automated system said my refill was "in process." I waited and spoke with a representative and was told that Pfizer still had not received a fax from my doctor's office and the refill was not "in process."

Lyrica is not a medication that a patient should just quit taking. The pain is unbearable...much worse than if no nerve pain medication had ever been prescribed. I'm was (and still am) at the end of my rope in trying to deal with all this while also trying to deal with my pain. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was transferred to "Justin" whose vocabulary consists of only sentences that begin "I DO apologize for that..." I totally went off on him, (and I do NOT apologize for that.) He finally assured me that he would contact my doctor's office and call me back. After two hours he still had not contacted my doctor's office. I called back and got his voice mail. I asked that he please let me know if I need to make other arrangements to get my medication (it was, after all Friday afternoon and my doctor's office would be closed over the weekend). By three I called back and spoke with his supervisor. She wanted to give me her name and another fax number, and start the process all over. Since we had tried this method numerous times, I asked her to reach out to my doctor, but she refused. She only offered her fax number again.

Pain and frustration mixed with the lack of one's medication can be a volatile situation. I was frustrated. I was angry. I was in more pain than I can describe. I angrily asked if she would call my doctor's office and she flatly refused.

I angrily stated, "That's all I want...I just needed to know if I need to do something else, and that's the answer. You are not going to help me!" I hung up.

Why, after starting over so many times, would anybody expect that doing the same procedure again would produce a different outcome? No two phone calls ever resulted in the same information more than once. It's as if the company doesn't keep records on the contacts made by me or my doctor. They don't care about the patient. They made it impossible for me to do anything other than wait for them to not do anything,

I can't afford Lyrica. My doctor's office has made arrangements for me to get it through Optum RX at a discounted price ($25 month), and I have no choice but to find a way to pay for it. I would have done that before ever applying to Lyrica for help had I known the company would leave me suffering for all these months.

Pfizer RX Pathways is a complete joke. I enrolled and was accepted and given one month of medication over a period of 5 months. The pain I have experienced because of their cruel mismanagement of this program is unbelievable.

Pfizer doesn't care about their patients. They only care about getting outrageous amounts of money for products people can't be without.

Thank you all for your stories because I thought I was off my rocker as Pfizer has been doing the same things to me. Yes, they are a farce! They make promises they have no intention of keeping. I take Lyrica and why hasn't this drug become "generic"? Because Pfizer is making a mint off it. Why hasn't our government gone after them? That was a joke of course. Big drugs and big government go together hand and hand. Again, thank all of you for your stories. Even though I'm nauseated, I feel better knowing just how crooked this company is.

Linda,

I totally understand what you're saying but, I'm not so sure about a lawsuit. I believe there's been constant unethical treatment with many people going by what I'm reading. I'm just not sure about it because we get expensive medication for free. Can a company be sued for providing something for free and treating people poorly? I'm not a lawyer. So, I don't know. What I'm trying to say is, lawsuit against a company providing expensive medication for free just doesn't add up in my head. On the other hand though, I believe no one should be treated in an unethical manner.

I got on the PAP back in March for Lyrica. Until July I didn't have too much of a problem with it. I've been happy and so grateful for the program because I suffer from chronic pain all over my body. I have no insurance and the cost out of pocket for a months script would be roughly $750.00 I think, not 100% on that. Anyway, when I first got going with this program I called in to verify everything and get a tracking number for the delivery. When I asked the rep how this all works and what the best way is to get fastest servicerefills and whatnot, she told me that e-script was best for when there weren't any refills left AND to call in at least one week prior to running out of medication. I've been calling in to the automated system for refills and had been receiving them in no more than 5 days after calling in. Back in May I think it was, something told me to call in to check on the status of the refill request I made a few days prior. I was glad I did that because there wasn't any request in the system. I got a human on the line who went ahead and put in for the refill and in just a few days, I had medication in hand. When I asked the rep how many refills were left she told me 3. So, to me, that means July, August and September were covered before I had to bother my doctor to call in a new script. Right? Wrong! I did get a refill to cover me for July but, on July 20th when I called in, the nightmare began.

I called the automated system and tried to put in for a refill and noticed the prompts were very different. When I fed it my information, it had no idea who I was. I was like, "oh no! holys@#t! I hope I won't have to do without because my body is now addicted to this stuff and when I've tried not taking any because I wasn't in pain, I wound up feeling like total crap. Nauseous, hot sweats, cold sweats, shaking, severe mood swings, you name it, I feel it." It took around an hour to get a human on the phone and I got a very sweet sounding lady who told me all of what happened and how to remedy the situation quickly. Once again, I was told now by a second rep at the PAP to have a new script e-scripted in by my doctor as many patients files had been lost due to a system upgrade. This, to me, made perfect sense because of the new prompts on the automated portion of the calls made to them AND the system not knowing who I was. My doctor uses an electronic form of communication and I immediately sent all of the information to her office asking to have a new script sent to Pfizer because of system upgrade issues. Her staff made a mistake and faxed it. So, I got right back with them and asked to have it e-scripted to Medvantx in Sioux Falls, SD per my conversation with the rep on the 20th. The doctors office did just that on the 24th (because there was a weekend in there). So, now seeing how it was sent electronically and going by past performances of the PAP, I expected to get a tracking number in just a day or so like normal. Nope! Nothing! So, being the partial detective I am, I got Medvantx on the phone who told me the script has been filled and is ready to go and I should have a tracking number next day. I felt relieved because I'm getting very close to running out of medication at this point and me being without it is not good. I physically hurt all over, have stomach problems, shake a lot, etc.

To try to shorten this nightmare, everyday for the next week, I was trying to speak to someone at PAP to find out what's going on and get a tracking number. It seemed very clear to me that no one at PAP had any idea what was going on because every call I made to them, I got a different story, told they'd call me back but never did and no tracking info received. I did call Medvantx a few times during the week and all they could tell me was, "it's here ready to go but, you have to talk to Pfizer to find out what the hold up is because that's what's noted on it." I want you all here on this board to know that some of the reps at both PAP and Medvantx are just the nastiest people I've ever talked to and they were NOT willing to do their jobs and help like they were supposed to. Over the last few days now I got to the point where I had to forcefully ask to speak to a supervisor at PAP explaining to the rep it's not them but the corporation, in the nicest way possible. One time I was supposedly transferred to a 'supervisor line' and was hung up on. Another time I got a supposed supervisor who swore he'd call me back with whatever information he got to let me know what was going on. The last time I got a supervisor named April who started off giving me the same lines of crap each and every rep gave me before and she did this immediately after I told her I was fed up hearing all of the same crap and was tired of getting nowhere. Note, this was Thursday evening around 6:10 pm when I started talking to her.

So, I had a one way conversation with this woman for about 20 minutes and my whole problem at this point is, "why is it that the script is sitting at the pharmacy or distribution center for the last 9 days now and it hasn't even been assigned a tracking number?" This makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. She had no answer to that. All she did was supposedly look at everything and came to the conclusion that everything 'looks fine' just like all of the reps before her did. She also told me that scripts take 7 to 10 days to process and mine is at day 6. This just pissed me off even more. So, I first told her what I had been told and had experienced with all scripts prior to this one which, was they always go through in just a few days and that I was told e-script is best and takes 3 - 5 days to process. I then asked her, "why can't you just call Medvantx now while I wait and you can get the script moving so I get it tomorrow or Saturday?" She said she cannot do that because it has to wait until tomorrow. I explained to her again, just like I did everyone else, that I'm now out of medication and I'm going through withdrawals. All she said was she'll look into it all in the morning and get it set up to be delivered Saturday AND she'll call me and let me know the tracking number. Needless to say, come Friday evening, I received a call from no one, have no tracking number and no medication.

Here we are now, Saturday morningafternoon. I just called the automated system and low and behold, I have tracking info finally. Going by UPS's website, they received the shipping info on Thursday and began processing it around 4:30 pm which, is before I spoke to April. So, now the question is, "if PAP has a means to communicate with Medvantx, why didn't anyone have it to give to me when I called in Thursday evening?" If they had done that, I would've been fine with it. Obviously, I wouldn't have been fine with having to wait until Monday evening to be able to get my system straightened out but, I would've at least known what to expect and that's been one of my main problems from the get go.

Look y'all, I AM very grateful for being able to get a medication that works for me for free and gets me to a point where I can function OK in this life. I really am grateful BUT, to be given the runaround, treated like I'm an addict, talked down to and just basically treated like a POS, to me, isn't very professional to say the least. It seems to me this is the only place I've come across where I can vent my grievances and be heard. To see that I'm not the only one that's been treated so poorly, helps me feel better. NO! It's not OK to be treated this way and I'm NOT making light of the way you may have been treated. I'm just simply saying that it's good to know I'm not alone in this boat. I tend to believe though that in 2018, with all that's going on in the world where people are striving for change in the way they're treated, I believe there's got to be a way to get this fixed and made better so we're no longer treated like we're scum of the earth because we're working with a major corporation to get something from them for free. My problem with that is, I have found nothing much out there to be able to get this message and all of the others to the executives of Pfizer.

It has to be about 85% of the reps I spoke to at PAP treated me poorly and I ALWAYS started off in a kind and gentle manner with them. This one lady named Tracy, OMG! If I just questioned one thing during the conversation, she snapped back at me. She seemed very knowledgeable too, as if she's been working there for a long time. I do a similar job as these people but, it doesn't pay much at all. Hence the reason I'm in the program. So, I know what it's like to be working with extremely high call volume and people that call in aggravated that they've been waiting for an hour to speak to someone for problem resolution. I get it but, no one should be taking out their crap on another the way most of them have and the company ought to arm these reps with more information and abilities. This is clearly a communication issue between the main corporation, the distributors and pharmacies. Again, like most issues in this world, it's a money problem where they don't want to spend any more then they have to on a free program to help people in need. I get that too. It simply has to be resolved and cannot continue the way it is. The way the PAP is right now, doesn't help the people in need. I don't want to be in this program any longer then I have to. I'm working on getting out of it and being without the drug I need to function, doesn't help me get out of the program. It prolongs it. I really wish the corporations would put on a new set of glasses to be able to better see what they're doing. Or is it that y'all want us to stay on this program because it's some sort of write-off for you? When I say that I know too that there are many people out there that will always need help from assistance programs like this one. I get that too and I'm not trying to make it seem like we're all the same. We're not and that's a fact. What I'm saying is there's a number of us out there that are using this program as a stepping stone or some sort of temporary thing to help us get by until we get the next job with insurance or start making enough to be able to afford the drug we need t function.

Bottom-line is this, I think the companies involved with the PAP, really need to look at how the people are being treated and how that has a great effect on how long the people will need to be in the program. I think treating people much better and providing more ways to help them get back on their feet would be much more lucrative then treating people like crap. As the old saying goes, "You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar." I AM somewhat guilty of treating a few reps I've talked to over the last 2 weeks poorly but, again, in my own defense, I ALWAYS started off talking to them in a kind and gentle manner. It was when someone tried to feed me the same old crap or they talked down to me as if I'm any less of a human than they are, that's when I got defensive.

Who knows, maybe someone from Pfizer or some other company involved will see this and use it to make changes in the PAP. It sure would be nice BUT, I have many doubts.

Pfizer's Patient Assistance Program is a FARSE! I was approved in March of 2018 for 1 medication. I was approved in March or April of 2018 for a second medication. I have yet to receive ANY MEDICATION from this program. Only 1 supervisor has gone above and beyond to even begin to try to assist me, help me figure out a resolution or anything. Today, I have been on hold off and in with a message that just keeps repeating, all medicine activists are on the phone w/ other customers. The approximate hold time is 20 minutes, you can either hold to speak to someone or press 1 for a call back. The first time today I asked for a call back. After an hour and a half, I gave up and called back. Now, I have been on hold for 1 hour and 30 minutes and still holding. Still receiving same recorded message. I want to SCREAM at his point! I have had about enough of this program. I can't afford my medications so I guess at this point I will simply do the only thing I can and just do without! Thank you for NOTHING PFIZER!

I was referred by a Cancer Specialty Infusion Center to apply for Pfizer's patient assistance program for Inflectra IV biologic. Pfizer determined that I did not qualify for the Patient Assistance Co-Pay program because I receive Medicare. However, I was told by a Pfizer Representative that I did financially qualify for their "Patient Assistance Program with Hardship." Allegedly, Pfizer would ship Inflectra vials to an infusion provider. Good Luck with trying to FIND an Infusion Facility that will accept "outside vials." There is not even ONE place in all of Tampa, Florida and/or Hillsborough County FL where it can be performed (Population 1.3 million). When I recontacted the Pfizer program, they stated that they did not keep any info on places that assist with their program. So, overall, they have a financial assistance program on paper that gives the impression of helping but that does not actually exist; especially if no one can use it! Smoke and Mirrors.

Pfizer rimadyl

I gave my 13 year old jack russell terrier rimadyl because she was limping on her right front paw. I was told she would need blood work every 6 months. I was not told my dog would be dying from liver failure after taking the medication for a few weeks. I had to have my dog put to sleep. I feel there should be more warnings or a pamphlet handed out when they offer rimadyl to your pet. Also you should be told about potential death from taking this medication. I hope more people don't have to suffer the loss I did. I miss my dog very much.

Pfizer pfizer pay direct money to pharmacists to sell centrum and caltrate in alnahdi pharmacy chain

We came to know that Pfizer Consumer GM Waleed Al Abd along with his marketing team had set a 22 million Saudi Rials ($ 6 millions) with ALNAHDI pharmacy chain that represents more than 800 pharmacies all around the kingdom, An incentive program where Pfizer will pay an average of $1 to each pharmacist who sell a pack of Centrum or Caltrate during [protected] ( then as much as you sell you gain more incentive on monthly basis ), A lot of complaints were reported but no action taken .
Moreover in 2014 Waleed Alabd hired Hossam Abu Ouf as marketing manger in Pfizer Saudi Arabia whom was working before as a purchase executive in ALNAHDI pharmacy chain .
Such un compliant illegal practice is just one of many uncompliant practices done by Pfizer Consumer management in Gulf & Saudi Arabia .

Pfizer horrible side effects

I was prescribed Arthrotec to help with swelling from a suspected torn ligament that was taking a long time to heal. I was told it could cause digestive upset and to take it with a big meal. I was on the medication for 4 weeks and had lots of loose stools and gas - I accepted this as part of the side effects. Then, I started to have rectal bleeding and anal fissures. I have gone off of Arthrotec, obviously, and off solid food completely (on a liquid only diet) and have been in excruciating pain whenever I go to the bathroom. My doctor hadn't heard of anyone developing these side effects, but I found a fact sheet that confirms these are (uncommon) side effects of Arthrotec--and it happened to me. These side effects are horrendous and have left me debilitated and unable to go about my daily life. I cannot think of a worse place in the body to try and heal a cut because every time you go to the bathroom -- guess what? I have been off of food for over one month and have lost 15 lbs on my small frame. I am feeling desperate: will I be nothing but skin and bones by the time I am able to eat again? I am furious that a company can legally produce such a dangerous product. And that these same super powerful and profitable pharmaceutical companies work behind the scenes to undermine and discredit and suppress natural, safe alternatives to their products. If it is within my power, I will never take another prescription medicine or drug for as long as I live. I am educating and empowering myself on healing naturally and staying healthy. I hope to warn others of the potentially devastating side effects of Arthrotec. Don't take the risk!

I have been taking this medication for years and for the past two years I find that there are at least 3 capsules in the month's supply that have no medication in them. This is a very expensive prescription and I am being ripped off of at least 10 % of what I pay for every month!

Pfizer drug induced immune mediated thrombocytopenia in dogs

I had an 8 year old healthy dog named DoDo.

Our DoDo was prescribed Simplicef 200mg on April 18, 2014;
he was taking 1 and 1/5 pill a day for 10 days. Upon completing his round of
Simplicef and two days later he started sneezing excessively to the point where
we noticed blood. We immediately took him to the emergency where we thought
DoDo had inhaled something and the emergency doctor recommended either put him
under to check his nose or monitor until the morning as we had a follow up with
his doctor for his paws; I decided to just wait until the morning. The next morning we followed with his regular vet; we gave
him a steroid injection which stopped the sneezing. Later on that day we
noticed constant drip of blood –not excessive- through the nose. Next morning
we decided to take him back to the doctor where we were asked to take him to a
specialist as they did not have the right size of scope to scope him.
On Saturday May 3, 2014 we took him to Orange County Vet
Specialists where DoDo was diagnosed with Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia. 7
days later and after extensive and aggressive treatments unfortunately we lost
him. Based on DoDo's history; a dog that was always healthy, never missed checkups, a blood donor for VCA Hospital in Indio, CA we feel confident enough to point in one direction as the culprit of such tragic incident: Simplicef. After searching and searching we have found that Cefalosporines is one family of medications that can indeed cause drug induced IMT though it is nowhere mentioned on the drug facts provided by Pfizer. In addition we consulted an indipended Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist that was able to see -upon reviewing all medical history along with medical report from our attempt to save his life
- that things were indeed pointing to Simplicef.

We spent close to $20, 000 trying to save DoDo's life; everything was ruled out from cancers to infections; no secondary disease of any form. It is time for Pfizer to include the possibility of such adverse reaction and inform patients as well as veterinarians.

Pfizer premarin cream

The tube and applicator make it impossible to get just the dosage you need without the medication continuing to come out after the applicator is removed and before you can reattach the cap. Waste is at least 1/3 of the entire tube of medication. That turns 30 doses into 20 if you are lucky and never fumble getting the cap back on. The co-pay for this medication is not cheap. It is a definite rip-off of the consumer.

I had to throw out 3 dosages yesterday as they did not work. Please note that I am 65 years old and am very disabled. I get the medications from Medco and some of the doses do not work. This has been happening. I had to throw away 2 dosages yesterday and 1 today. I pay good money for the inhaler and do not expect this kind of service.

Pfizer tetracycline teeth staining

Date: january 13th, 2014

I am a 45 year old who has suffered the side effects of tetracycline teeth staining my whole life. Apparently I had pneumonia as an infant and was given this antibotic as treatment as a result when my permenant teeth came in they were severly discolored an darek grey-brown color. I am an attractive woman but have suffered with the stigma of ugly teeth my whole life. As a result I have done everything I can financially do to help disguise there appearance. I have had them bonded over 2 times in the past 20 yrs but that not diguise them completely and looks totally bnulky and unnatural. I have been told by dentist the only cosmetic treatment for teeth as severly stained as mine are full crowns. I would like to have this done but cannot financially afford it and I do feel that pfizer is responsible for my pain and suffering all these years for my teeth and the appearance that this drug left them with. I would like to be compensated enough to cover this dental work to be done. If you need to speak with me or my dentist or need records I have no problem with this. I would like to hear back from you within 30 days or I will have no other alternative than to consult a personal injury attorney for adequate compensation.

Sincerly,

Wendy mcghee

Pfizer tetracycline staining of teeth

I also have tetracycline stained teeth. And my brother. We both took tetracycline as children after surgeries we had. I have extremely dark grey teeth that are week and I've spent around $13, 000 to get them fixed and I'm not done yet. My brother is just starting on his. My parents were never told tetracycline would stain our teeth. We found out after it had already happened. Went through life and school never smiling and embarrassed from our teeth. Was constantly made fun of because of our dark teeth. We are in for any kind of class action suit!

Pfizer tetra teeth

Six weeks after birth [1962] in St. Michael's Hospital Newark NJ . I developed bronchial pneumonia and congestive heart failure which required heavy doses of tetracycline [Dr. Pasquale]. Then continued to take it throughout childhood because I was severely allergic to all cillians and myacins. There was no damage to the first teeth; however, the second teeth were severely discolored. I will not get into the social stigma suffered by my peers for "having black teeth" nor will I discuss the fact I dislike my picture taken. In my early teens I wore braces for a few years. By the time I was in my early 20's all my back teeth upper and lowers began deteriorating. This was when i lived in Arizona. All those teeth were crowned and I was diagnosed with enamel hypoplasia and lack of calcium in my teeth. This Dentist stated to me that I would eventually lose them. After 25 some years and preventative care as money would allow [no insurance] I am losing all my back teeth-crowns are old and nerves are becoming exposed-cheaper to pull then re-crown with no insurance. Pretty soon I will be gumming my food until I can afford replacements. Before my Mother passed in 2010 she told me of a class action suit. It has taken me 3 years to research this and learn what tetracycline has done to my teeth and learn about the side effects. Last year after not taking an antibiotic for over twenty plus years I was once again subjected to tetracycline 250 mg 3 x a day for 10 days. Tomorrow 8/08/13 I begin the process of three more teeth extractions. I believe Pfizer should be held accountable. Sincerely MaryFrances Balcom 905 Commercial St Apt E Leavenworth Washington 98826 msmary.[protected]@nwi.net ..please contact me with any info Thank You

Pfizer product chapstick

I have purchased three chapsticks from Boots and, with each one of them, the retraction facility fails to work properly. This is very disappointing and I wonder how Pfizer have let the functionality of this product lapse so much. I have thrown them all away. Clearly this is not good enough for a company which purports to be an international brand.

Pfizer encephalitis

On 7/28/11 I brought my dog into the vet to be vaccinated for distemper and parvo. She was born on 5/31/11 so she was about 8 weeks old. On 8/7/11 I brought her back to the vet because she seemed to be acting weird. The vet took a stool sample and found a large amount of bacteria in her stool. She sent me home with Clavamox. Later that evening Coco began shaking violently and acting like she was chocking. She was having a seizure but I did not know that. I rushed her to the hospital where they informed me her temperature was 105.3 and they did not know if she would make it.

The vaccination caused my dogs brain to swell and ultimately caused her untimely death.

She did survive and over the next few months her seizures progress. I have her in and out of hospitals several times. Had a brain scan and spinal tap done. After $20, 000 in medical expenses Coco finally was put to sleep on 6/11/12 after a sever static seizure.

I tried to file a complaint but was unable to find a resource center for pet vaccine complaints. I hope this helps someone out their.

Pfizer avoid at any cost guys

In the largest health care fraud settlement in history, pharmaceutical giant Pfizer must pay $2.3 billion to resolve criminal and civil allegations that the company illegally promoted uses of four of its drugs, including the painkiller Bextra, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Wednesday.

Besides Bextra, the drugs were Geodon, an antipsychotic; Zyvox, an antibiotic; and Lyrica, an anti-epileptic drug. Once the Food and Drug Administration approves drugs, doctors can prescribe them off-label for any use, but makers can't market them for anything other than approved uses.

Pfizer subsidiary Pharmacia & Upjohn pleaded guilty to a felony violation for promoting off-label uses of Bextra, such as for pain relief after knee replacement surgery. At the FDA's request, Pfizer pulled Bextra off the market in April 2005 because its risks, including a rare, sometimes fatal, skin reaction, outweighed its benefits. It had been approved only for treating rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and menstrual pain.

As part of the settlement, Pfizer (PFE) will pay a criminal fine of $1.195 billion, the largest criminal fine ever imposed in the USA for any matter, according to the Justice Department. Pharmacia & Upjohn must pay a $105 million criminal fine.

Pfizer also has agreed to pay $1 billion in civil damages and penalties to compensate federal health-care programs for false claims submitted as a result of its marketing Bextra and the other four drugs for off-label use or at unapproved dosages.

In an interview Wednesday with USA TODAY, former Pfizer sales representative John Kopchinski said he was told to distribute 20-milligram samples to rheumatologists and orthopedists, even though the FDA had approved only 10-milligram doses for arthritis. The 20-milligram doses were approved only for menstrual pain, yet Kopchinski says he never called on gynecologists or other doctors who would treat that complaint.

In 2003, Kopchinski, 45, a West Point graduate, filed the first whistle-blower lawsuit, leading to the Justice Department investigation. Kopchinski says he was inspired by David Franklin, who filed a whistle-blower lawsuit against Pfizer for promoting Neurontin — at the time approved only to control seizures — for unapproved uses such as treating bipolar disorder.

When Kopchinski began questioning Pfizer's marketing of Bextra and sued, Pfizer fired him, a violation of the anti-retaliation provision of the federal False Claims Act, says his attorney, Erika Kelton of the Washington, D.C., firm Phillips & Cohen. At the time, his son was 2 and his wife was pregnant with twins.

Kopchinski, who began working for Pfizer in 1992, says he was the last employee personally hired by former CEO Edward Pratt, with whom he began corresponding while serving in the first Gulf War.

Kopchinski says one night while on guard duty, he saw a photo of Pratt, now deceased, in Reader's Digest and decided to write him to ask if he wanted to "adopt" his platoon. At the time, Kopchinski says, Pfizer owned Coty cosmetics, and Pratt, an assistant secretary of the Army in the Kennedy administration, responded by sending over three cases of cologne.

Although Kopchinski worked three years as a financial adviser after leaving Pfizer, he says, "I pretty much depleted my 401(k)."

Of the $102 million share of the settlement that will be divided among six whistle-blowers, Kopchinski will receive $51.5 million. To celebrate, he and his wife took their three children out of school Wednesday to have a new family portrait taken and to go to Chuck E. Cheese's for pizza. Kopchinski, who now lives in San Antonio, says he and his wife plan to be stay-at-home parents.

Pfizer mentioned the $2.3 billion settlement this past January in filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, in which it said it was taking a $2.3 billion charge against earnings related to lawsuits, but the lawsuits were sealed and the investigation ongoing at the time, so no details could be released, Justice Department spokesman Charles Miller said Wednesday. Shares of Pfizer closed at $16.28, down 10 cents.

In a statement, Pfizer senior vice president and general counsel Amy Schulman said: "We regret certain actions taken in the past, but are proud of the action we've taken to strengthen our internal controls and pioneer new procedures."

Pfizer teeth stained by tetracycline

Mother's who are pregnant and take Tetracycline there newborn will have dark grey, brown stained teeth for life.
Kids who are given Tetracycline before the age of 9 will have stained teeth for life. Any Dentist you go to will tell you the problem is on the inside of the Enamel therefore bleaching will do nothing to fix the problem.

Pfizer knew of this problem back in the 50s, 60s and early 70s But from research Doctors didn't know. Pfizer should start a FUND to compensate victims to have there stained teeth fixed, They made Millions if not Billions from the sale of Tetracycline. Our Doctors gave this to our Mother's while Pregnant or too us as kids before the age of 9, So it's only right that our teeth get fixed at their cost.

Pfizer has been contacted concerning this matter and suppose to respond back but never have.
Chances are you're reading this because either you or someone you know or love is suffering from this condition, I say suffering because that is exactly what it's called because I have the same problem.
During my School years I was teased and made fun of and bullied because I was different, yes gray stained teeth, My sister was also.

It prevented some Women and Men from becoming Models, It prevented some of us from applying or getting certain jobs because they expected nice smiles. For example do you think that a company who sells dental products wants to hire a sales person who smiles with gray teeth. Or an advertisement company hire someone to be in a commercial and when they smile all people see is Gray teeth. No, No.
Peoples with Stained teeth from Tetracycline will not smile and show there teeth during pictures. Some people who suffer from this even put there hand over there mounth when laughing.

Pfizer isn't suffering...With Billions in the Bank they are far from suffering, But will they do the right thing ?
Please click the link below and sign the petition asking Pfizer to change and start a FUND to fix our teeth. Have everyone you know to sign please. Thank You.

I was prescribed Tetracycline as a young child in the 1970's. My teeth turned grey and yellowed. Through the years my
teeth have decayed from the inside out. Literally a tooth looks healthy, but then breaks off from decay and my dentist can't save it. I have payed for crowns they are a waste of money. I always brushed as a child. Twice daily. I wasn't a soda drinker my Mom wouldn't allow it. Sweets were only for holidays.
Is there anyway to get compensation for getting the extensive dental work needed to save my remaining teeth or get implants?

The very 1st thing I would like to say is...HEY PFIZER, WOULD YOU HIRE SOMEONE TO SIT AT THE FRONT DESK, IN THE LOBBY...OR ANYWHERE FOR THAT MATTER, OF ONE OF YOUR BIG OFFICE BUILDINGS, THAT WAS GIVEN TETRACYCLINE? WOULD YOU HIRE THEM TO REPRESENT YOUR COMPANY?! A drug that you push, yet hid, the life altering effects it would have on the recipients! That's what I thought! I am horrified that Pfizer has not willingly attempted to help those of us who have been scarred for life from a product that they knew damn well would cause such pain. It's not just jobs/careers in modeling or selling dental products that should be mentioned...in fact I find that insulting. It's ANY JOB/CAREER! It all starts by being ostracized as children. The name calling, bullying, lack of friends, as no one wants to be friends with someone who's different or "doesn't brush their teeth". I could go on and on about how detrimental the treatment we received as children in the most developmental years of our lives. It was also not only by other children but adults as well. Unless you experienced it personally, you CAN NOT even imagine the way we were treated, looked at and judged. This wasn't something braces or bleaching could fix and as children, well we just couldn't understand why we were treated so badly. Getting into adulthood is a whole new set of problems. Nowhere...I mean NOWHERE will hire someone who looks like they have terrible hygiene habits. It doesn't matter one iota how great the rest of your appearance may be, once you smile, everything else goes right out the window. The other big judgement is that your a drug user. You have bad hygiene habits or use drugs, period! You could be the best in whatever line of work you've chosen to do, but still can't get a job because nobody...NOBODY wants you to represent their company with teeth that look like ours. I could rant and rage about the horrors this infliction has caused, but will still not be heard by the company that caused it. I just recently found out Pfizer knew about this life altering side effect and plan to do everything I can possibly do to get them to pay for what they've done! I can't believe they've gotten away with it for this long! That something hasn't taken place yet to have them take responsibility. I'm just sick to my stomach over this. I'll say it 1 more time...HEY PFIZER...WOULD YOU HIRE SOMEONE TO REPRESENT YOUR COMPANY WITH TETRACYCLINE TEETH!

Im a 17 year old female who so badly wishes that she could get a nice, beautiful, and normal white smile just like everyone else her age. I cant laugh without covering my mouth or looking down. Its very embarrassing when I catch people get a glimpse of my yellow/brown stained teeth. With today's trendy fashion involving red lipstick, I wish I could participate in it but cant due to the red lipstick making my teeth stand out even more. Its a sad life that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy.
