PC Richard & Son - P C Richard & Son in Paramus - This company hires liars and incompetent salespeople

I purchased a 42" Sharp TV, Monster box and 5 yr warranty and was told they provide excellent in home service.Called store from 8/12 - 8/15 with promises of call backs to set up service call yet that never happened.

WENT TO STORE on 8/15 and was told I would receive a call in AM of 8/16. I received a call thinking the additional product I was talked into buying (home theater speaker system) would be delivered, hooked up along with all other connections to be checked. When the delivery person showed up he said he only was told to deliver the product and doesn't even know how to connect these speakers or check any of the other connections.

THESE PEOPLE ARE [censored]S!I will be contacting several parties (State Attorney General, BBB and local TV Stations !

PC Richard & Son - do not expect an apology if and when a repairman shows up.Avoid service contracts.

P C Richard & Son sold me a service contract for my kitchen appliances. Getting them to show up, takes nothing short of a miracles. I placed 5 calls to different managers and, I still have a broken refrigerator.

If you contact them by phone you will be kept waiting up to 20 minutes.
While on hold you will be told over and over, how important your call is to them.

You will not be compensated in any way for the time you have spent waiting.Also, do not expect an apology if and when a repairman shows up.
Avoid service contracts

PC Richard & Son - .I will never shop at P C Richard & Son in Paramus again

I was told that I could receive all of my appliances within days of calling for delivery. Not True!
They only had a partial delivery and did not tell me. The delivery guy gave me the news. when I called
the store the "sales person" that promised us delivery of everything at one time, said he could not do
anything about it. Also the night before the store had called me to confirm delivery of all of the appliances.I will never shop at P C Richard & Son in Paramus again. When your retail numbers get low just remember the people you pissed off,
they were consumers that trusted you and you betrayed them...Shame On You

PC Richard & Son - p c richard & son should be more competitive, especially knowing their competition.

I went into the Paramus NJ store to purchase a TV .Salesman was very rude and inflexible with price and negotiation.

Don't they understand if you come into the store it's to negotiate - if I want to pay list price I can buy online - and get free shipping.. After a heated exchange with THE salesman - we left the store, and went to Best Buy.Made my purchase in 10 minutes at Best Buy.

P C Richard & Son should be more competitive, especially knowing their competition!This company may be 103 yrs old - the need to know how to compete in a retail environment which offers many different consumer channels .

PC Richard & Son - I will never buy P C Richard and Son again. How could they do that to their customer.

I bought a washer from, and was confirmed to deliver washer between 1:45 pm to 4:45 pm. However, I waited and waited. P C Richard and Son deliverman have NO show and NO .
I called again and again. However, nobody answer my phone! I wasted 4 house for nonthing!
I really really pissed by P C Richard and Son terrible serives! This store can NOT be trusted and totally NOT reliable!
I will never buy P C Richard and Son again. How could they do that to their customer?

PC Richard & Son - !. go somewhere else for your appliances.. I can't believe with service like this.

I bought a 4 appliance GE stainless steel package.Took about a month to get a delivery as the refrigerator was back-ordered.Agreed to pay their plumber to connect the (took all of 5 minutes)!.Salesman Nick S told us if we "threw the plumber a few bucks" he would install the dishwasher..Unfortunately the dishwashers came separately?.We were never told the microwave oven also needed a separate installation charge;.The fridge freezer door opens when you close the fridge door, so they have to come back to balance the fridge!.So when you buy any appliance from this store be sure to get everything in writing and make sure the are talked about and itemized".When you call the store (Paramus NJ) they put you on hold for 10 minutes or longer and don't return calls!.All in all a !.Go somewhere else for your appliances..I can't believe with service like this they've been in business for 103 years.

PC Richard & Son - I went back to buy a stereo system for my tv. the gentlemen there where just rude.

I went to p c Richard & son in Paramus new jersey, I walked around a bit looking, I was attempting to get the of a sales person and they took notice of me and then turned there heads as if i did not exist.there were many foreign sales person and seems not one American.

I feel I was discriminated against.

and I will never shop at again, I went there because I had purchased items before and the African American there were very helpful and I went back to buy a stereo system for my TV.the gentlemen there where just rude.

PC Richard & Son - I am extremely unhappy and disappointed with my experience with this company

Dryer I bought from PC Richards back in 2012 stopped thoroughly as of last Friday -- only worked at a low heat.Was told over the phone that it was a "heating element" problem with the machine, and would need a repair person.

Could not get a repair person until the following Wed. When he arrived, he informed me that my dryer was fine, and that the problem was caused by a lint build-up. Charged me $152 for the visit, as the warranty had expired years ago. When I called to complain that I had authorized the repair call from P C Richard & Son.

Richards' based on, I was told they could not help me because I did not get a name of the person who told me over the phone that the malfunction was caused by a heating element. (It's a, which does not have a "heating element" but I am no dryer mechanic. Aren't they supposed to be the experts?! Isn't that why I called them?) Had vent cleaned by a professional vent service firm -- guess what?

Dryer still will not dry at all, and produces NO HEAT. Now I am told that a repair person will not be available for two Tuesday from now, as there is a high turnover in repair workers for this company. :[ It seems that service really does end after the sale with this company.

I am extremely unhappy and disappointed with my experience with this company.They say they stand behind their work -- but it takes a very long while for them to make good on their mistakes.

PC Richard & Son - I will never shop here ever again:. If this is not resolved.

I bought a at in Paramus NJ. I have had it now for about 9 months. The two bins and one shelf kept falling. I called to get it service and P C Richard & Son told me to call another service company. Well the was very nice . He told me the was to wide and deamed it unrepairable. I then call PC, they wanted one of their techs to come in. The whom wouldn't tell me his name nor gave me any paper work said he would order me new bins and for the that are fallen on the well he said, there is nothing he can do, It will be fine I'm sure. Well that is not fine. I spent and i wanted it fixed correctly. After a two months back and forth with the service department whom treated me like a child and made me feel like i broke the, I finnally called the manager and supervisors!. No help from them, . I do have to say the two managers at in Paramus were the most unhelpful.. I am very stressed, but finally I will get a new fridge.. We still shall see|. I will never shop here ever again:. If this is not resolved i will bring this matter to, with my 5 year 300?.00 warrenty

PC Richard & Son - I called to find out the the tv was still not in stock and they didn't know when it was coming.

I went to P C Richard & Son and purchased an 50' television.I was told that the tv was out of but should be in the store by Friday.

I called to find out the the tv was still not in stock and they didn't know when it was coming...then the said "well try back on tuesday maybe it will be here".I called today to find out that it probably wont be here until friday, and the customer service rep didn't sound to sure about that date either!I will never buy anything on back order from them again!

PC Richard & Son - Its a TOTAL SCAM…Everything and blatantly lied to my face as the salesman Ari reassured me that my credit was not being run.

Its a TOTAL SCAM…Everything, before during and after the sale (as they say.)First and foremost, they opened multiple credit cards in my name without my knowledge, saying that I was simply being sent a "new card" and blatantly lied to my face as the salesman Ari reassured me that my credit was not being run, which should be illegal if it isn't already.And, from other complaints I've read this has apparently been going on for some time as well as there have been charges of the misuse and theft of personal information.

Additionally they attempted to insidiously and grotesquely over charge me.Taking advantage of a customers kind nature and reluctance to be forced into haggling and arguing, I was told I was getting a discount and when in fact I came to discover that I had paid far more for the item than I would have paid at any of there competitors. So much for their price guarantee. All they do is jack up prices and make you feel as if your getting a discount, and despite their supposed "love" for the local community, have been ripping people off for years...lies and trickery. When I attempted to cancell my order at the paramus location, I was left waiting, staring at the clock and missing a previous engagement I had while the utterly incompetent employees passed the buck up the .

When I was finally addressed, I was met with the store's general managers rolling eyes and spoken down to disrespectfully. (So bad in fact that the only halfway being for an employee in the building had took it upon himself to apologize for the actions of his peers and managers) Also, the salesmen Ari on the floor gathered to watch as if my wife and I were some sort of spectacle. The entire staff was completely rude and unprofessional, from the cashier girl chattering on her cell phone playing with her nails ignoring customers to the sales staff and ESPECIALLY management. From what I understand this is a very old company and was founded in good faith and pride in the care for the customer.

Whoever runs the company now however should be ashamed to have disgraced the good faith of their founder for he surely is rolling over in his grave. I will never step foot into that pit of thieving, coniving, shiftless snake oil salesmen Ari ever again. Management acts as if they are too good to deal with you and arrogantly strut about the store as if they believe they are wall street big shots. As we were trying to work out my issue, the salesmen Ari on the floor surrounded us with arms crossed and whispering amongst each other leaving us to feel even more pressured!.

My wife said it was one of the most uncomfortable situations she had ever been in". Not to mention the creepy ogling and staring;. They clearly must make many women feel uncomfortable and no man should let his wife go there alone, . The salesmen Ari smelling of garlic, had a predatory look in there eyes and dealing with them makes you feel as if your at a back room poker game, .

Upper management in this corporation should be thoroughly embarrassed opand I pray that not all the locations bare any resemblance to this one|. The total lack of character and respect in management has surely rubbed off on the lower level employees as this has been the single worst experience I have ever had as a consumer..

Before any others are treated in this fashion, corporate management should absolutely reanalyze practices at this location and get rid of the people running that store".Totally unbelievable

PC Richard & Son - (P C Richard & Son ) should send a new fridge because the repair would be massive

So I bought a brand new fridge, and by last week we discovered that the freezer had a Freon leak and needed repair. Not only did they not come right away, but the first guy that came out was useless...the second guy came out and told us exactly what was wrong and that they (P C Richard & Son ) should send a new fridge because the repair would be massive - so we call..They want us TO BUY A LOANER until they can get ours fixed instead of just replacing a fridge that's already under warranty - ARE YOU KIDDING ME? They suck

PC Richard & Son - Will never buy from p c richard & son in paramus again.

Purchased washer & dryer from p c richard & son in paramus store paid for delivery and setup, men came to the house told me they could not set up dryer, did not explain, went to the store, more people came out, scuffed up the dryer, "set it up" now sticking 3 feet+ out from the wall, scuffed my siding when poking around at vent outside, left a huge black shoe mark on dryer where they climbed over it. Will never buy from p c richard & son in paramus again. Rude, unprofessional delivery men who did not explain or communicate well at all, management who could care less about an unhappy customer.

PC Richard & Son - I hope P C Richard & Son fails and fails big in NJ P C Richard & Son only wants to sell

P C Richard & Son Does not back their pledge of helping consumers out.We purchased a new laptop from the paramus store..

The keyboard is broke and when we tried to return or exchange it they would not help out/. They gave us a 800 number to their corporate complaint office;. After 20 minutes on hold we explained the situation to them and they connected us to Sony for repairs.. The store managers at P C Richard & Son in Paramus are totally detached form satisfying customers when issues arise;.

It's a competitive environment in today's market, I hope P C Richard & Son fails and fails big in New Jersey P C Richard & Son only wants to sell, sell, sell and not support it's customer base'.

Go to Best Buy|.They will work with consumers.

PC Richard & Son - P C Richard & Son in Paramus could care less about the problem, product or service

I could spend an hour writing about how this company messed up delivery but I eventually got the fridge so lets just talk about warranty.After several missed appointment (no call, no shows), I got very frustrated and started to contact them, they don't care about the fact that water is leaking from inside the fridge and ruining my kitchen floor and have no problem with the no call, no shows with the repair people.

I discovered the leak when the bottom drawer of freezer would not close?. I noticed a build up of ice, so I unplugged and defrosted freezer/. While it was unplugged, I turned of the water supply to the kitchen which also feeds the freezer and the leak stopped, when I turned the water back on the leak started again?. The whole time the fridge was unplugged, so what does the repair tech do when he finally showed up after 3 no call, no shows, he tells me the leak is being cause by a faulty electronic thermostat?.

Now I am by no means a repair man, but how does an electronic thermostat control a leak that stops and starts when water supply is turned off while the freezer in unplugged.. Is it a magic electronic thermostat that works while it has no power, . P C Richard & Son in Paramus could care less about the problem, product or service/.

In fact they are blaming NEW who runs the warranty for this product that is 1 year and 13 days old|.I explained to them that I did not pay NEW for warranty, I paid P C Richard & son and I should not be faulted for who they contract the work out to

PC Richard & Son - collect the money for the food loss&. he would not help us in any way/..

P C RICHARD & SON STORE I want the $250 replacement of food loss related to power outage for any reasn. the salesman told us at the time of purchasing the extra protection package. I was since been told that it is only if there is a mechanical problem with the refrigarator. I WANT THE $250 FOOD REPLACEMENT MONEY SENT TO ME AS PROMISED BY YOUR SALES REP.

When we purchased the refrigerator we were talked into the warranty with it?. At that point we were told it would cover loss of food for loss of power for any reason once a year.I was told it was only for loss of power by mechanical problems with the unit, .We went to the store and spoke with the manager:. He stood there the whole time with his arms crossed on his chest and said he could do nothing, . He kept saying if that was the case he would have his power turned off for a week each year and collect the money for the food loss". He would not help us in any way/.
I am hoping you can right this wrong and compensate us in some way'

PC Richard & Son - . I will never buy from P C Riuchard & Son in Paramus again.

I submitted delivery rebate, when I checked the status after 2 months, it said invalid. The explanation (missing purchase location). The Paramus store customer service rep. gave me a telephone number to the rebate dept. that didn't exist. He was very arrogant and ignorant. The poor communication skills at this Paramus store is scary. I will never buy from P C Riuchard & Son in Paramus again.

When I called, I asked to speak to the manager, of course he wasn't available. When I asked who the regional manager was, he's not available.
This is a sad way of fooling the consumer with promises that never happens.

PC Richard & Son - The Paramus store was laid out nicely but rather sparce and uninviting.

I stopped in to the p c richard & son store in Paramus NJ this evening.As I entered the store, I was bombarded by sales people which made it obvious that they are working on commission.

I couldn't even walk through the store, just to see what they had to offer without feeling like I was being followed and pursued for a sale. There were more employees than customers in the store at the time. The Paramus store was laid out nicely but rather sparce and uninviting.

I will stick to buying appliances at Best Buy, Home Depot and Sears.No Pressure at those locations!

PC Richard & Son - Very disappointed.. will be paying store a visit

Within the last 3 weeks the plasma will not turn on..and the lcd 42" only has half screen left half black.

Very disappointed.. will be paying store a visit on Tuesday the . also recently purchased 22" touchscreen desktop... a double door black refrigerator.

And a black electric stove... and a 60" mitsubishi projection tv.. every thing worked just fine until a week both tvs are messing up. u guys sent a repair company in nj.
Now saying it will cost 500.00 to fix 50" i will b conmtacting my attorney about this mess...net very disappointed...

P C Richard & Son in Paramus NJ. to buy a promoted Westinghouse 46" Class LCD TV for $378.91.Told P C Richard & Son in Paramus NJ, doesn't have it and what I really wanted was another brand at $378.91

Why? that ad tv isn't very good. Do you have one on display? No we don't display it.

Do you have a substitute at or close to the $378.91 price. No. If I want to buy one, when will I get it. Don't know could be a week, two who knows?

Spoke to manager James told if I pay for it today (which I was agreeable to) we'll call you when we can get one. How long? He said hard to say 1 weeks maybe more. Back at the central desk my salesman Ray and others we snickering.

Stay away from P C Richard & Son in Paramus NJ.

PC Richard & Son - the salespeople nick s at p c richard & son in paramus will lie cheat and steal

I bought a washing machine two years ago.It was a good sale, when I am checking out the warranty speech so after i said no 3 times Then the salesperson Nick S comes up with a 1 time fix it over a five year period.

For the small amount of $149.00. That was the first warranty that sounded good. So i bit, now my washer is broke and come to find out he made it up it didnt exist.

He sold me an extended warrant for 5yrs that covered one part that whirlpool covered already.The salespeople Nick S at p c richard & son in paramus will lie cheat and steal for there little ###ing bonus.
