PayMate.com review: Fraud 24

As spoken about with Mr. GREG QUINN, and the CEO, my money is supposed to be in my account before 4:00 today, but unfortunately the money is yet to be deposited, all my phone calls and requests as to where my money is have been treated lightly and as a joke. I feel as though this is a fraud and would really like to have the issue resolved before taking any legal action. I would like to bring to your attention, that throught 25 days I have called different telephone numbers both from the U.S and Australia, and the only response I've received are lies typical of scammers, with absolutely no professionalism which is not what is promised on the website. I've had to do my own research of every person behind this very dishonest, unprofessionalism, criminal like behavior, both in the U.S. and Australia, in order to report them to the proper authorities about their illegal activity and handling of money.

My attorneys, the State Attorney offices, as well as the Federal Bureau of Investigations are more than willing to investigate this as an internet fraud, or as a criminal case. We have proof of such activity and the authorities of Australia and the U.S. will be presented with such evidence, to treat this as an international criminal fraud, where the FBI would have to take action. I am also willing to go to press, CNN, Msnbc, Fox, etc in order to get my point across and warn people if this is such a criminal case as I suspect it is, because I have yet to receive my money or honest answers. I would very much like money, otherwise it would be very simple for me to showcase such dishonest fraud to the necessary people.

Customer service is rude and condescending. After enquiring about a payment I made, I got a lecture about how many thousands of dollars THEY had lost in fraud. Payment not completed after two days. Customer service rep- after being asked to not ever email me again because of their rudeness- emailed back 'whatever' and ' all this for a $40transaction' I wonder what dollar value their give-a-damn does kick in? Stay away!

Oh and the kicker? This customer service rep is the head of customer service, then again there may only be one.

I made a purchase through them and cancelled prior to shipping of the product, until today I have not recived the money. They claim that the seller has not sent the money for them, and if they don't send the Paymate will not pay me. They arbitrate the transaction and not liable for nothing!

The service is primary, they report that take up to two days to reply, which is absurd, but in fact, they often take more than a week!

The site is terrible and works with other dishonest sites like as www.trendy-fashions.com.

I have been with Paymate for approx 8 years, it use to be an excellent company, but not since about 2 months ago. Here is my latest experience with them
1. 6 months after purchase i get a charge back, i refuse to allow Paymate to issue a refund and ask them to explain. First email stated that security system is very good and it did not pick up on any problems. I did not accept that, hence if there was no problems, and items were posted with proof then too bad. In response i was then told that the details do not match to the bank. So Paymate accepted payment even when personal info did not match card holder.
2. I asked paymate to issue partial refund. 2 weeks later i get email, they have debited my account and will refund within 24 hours. 4 weeks later customer still has not received a refund. Customer and myself both sent emails-all gone un-answered.
3. With that same chargeback, i advised Paymate that i do not authorize them to debit my account. Same night my account was debited. Had to contact the bank and bank took back the money
4. Got payment which i asked to cancel about 30 mins after getting it, sent email asking to cancel and refund. Few hours later received email from Paymate confirming the receipt of email and matter has been escalated to refunds. 24 hours later get email, confirmation of payment into my account. 7 days later refund still not processed.
5. On that same day(chargeback story) was meant to get some money into my account, but none came through. Called Paymate and was told they had bank connectivity issues. So there was no issue to debit money, only to credit money.

Now filed complaint with the Ombudsman and still nothing is fixed and not even an apology or refunds to the customers.

So be aware and if anything stay away from Paymate.

I opened a PayMate account, hoping to switch to them from PayPal, to receive $22 for the sale of an item at ebay and its postage.

Item sold June 6, 2010. Received the PayMate notice that buyer paid. Within seconds, another one - payment cannot be accepted for security reasons - $22 FROM CREDIT CARD WITH NO LIMITS. In 4 days, after much back and forth wrote to the buyer, but not to me that payment had gone trough. Kept talking about security FOR A $22 cc payment.

Have never sent me an email message, telling that the payment had been received and I should ship my item to the buyer. But, at long last, confirmed int he email that payment had processed, saying that, because of the problems with their web site, I did not get the promised message. When I asked why the payment still not marked at ebay as received, the answer of the alleged VP of sales, marketing, and client services, Greg Quinn, was that ebay had been working on this well known problem. There was no answer to my remark that they can wait for a long time for their competitor to fix the problem

First told me that my payment would be deposited to the bank in a few days, because they need time 'to establish relationship with me". Then that payment would be deposited June 14, 2010, This is after they had confirmed my bank account ! And this is for deposit of whatever is left after they took their fees.

On June 14, 2010 they told me that my payment "cleared".

As of today, June 24, 2010, they made no deposit to my bank, they closed my PayMate account without my permission, and nobody replies to emails, asking of whereabouts of my payment.

The alleged VP of the alleged customer service is rude beyond measure and incompetent beyond 10 measures.

The web site design leaves much to be desired, but presently it does not matter, because, it looks like, the web site is for conducting fraudulent operations

I hoped PayMate will straighten PayPal out, providing healthy competition, But they are worse than PayPal, which I did not think could be possible

I was using paymate to accept payments on ebay. It was initially OK and i got deposits when i was selling cheap items. So i decided to give it a go and start selling more expensive items like iphones etc and take paymate. ALL OF A SUDDEN, paymate STOPPED depositing money to my bank account. And it continues to send email to me indicating the money is deposited and urged me to ship the items. I have shipped the goods to the buyers but I HAVE NOT GOT the money from paymate. They are a bunch of liars! I have called them numerous times but all i got was a voicemail. I have also filed the BBB complaint for the business and I will continue to file fraud reports to FBI and other services. I am currently seeking legal actions against them as well.

Even if they claim that they had to hold the money for 6 months, after more than a year, i still have got a penny from them. Nor did they attempt to contact me to show any reasonable efforts to return my money. And if Chase is holding paymate's money because of paymate's bad business practices, why in the world does it have anything to do with us as honest ebay sellers?

I have been having difficulty with PayPal and the random swaths of time they take to hold incoming payments from eBay, only to release the holds, then randomly holding again unexplained. Do I was considering PayMate. From what I see here, they seem to have some technical problems, a not too professional staff, and no one in their offices to help. But what strikes me as strange is that there seems to bee several different user comments above that all sound the same, with similar complaints involving "GREGG QUINN and the CEO", some offices in US and Australia, and involvement of the the attorneys, State Attorney's Office, FBI, CNN, CNBC, Fox, etc. I know some people have a gripe about certain companies but this all sounds like the same guy under different user names. Also, not only are half the comments on this page similar, but this page is one of the top links found when researching PayMate on Google! Is it a PayPal or Money Bookers employee trying to sabotage Paymate? Hmmmm.

Yes same thing happened to me i was selling on ebay and most of my clients paid through paymate. Well 2 months past and i never got a dime deposited into my account . I've sent all the items, then i started getting worreied and called paymate i also read the article in the site that said we are going to improve some things on Paymate bla bla bla bla! so i took it as they were just going to change the face of the way the payments are deposited etc.
Well I was wrong I come to realize that my account was closed and that my money was never going to be deposited. I called atleast 10 times left numerous emails, I got an email saying that i didn't qualify for the new requirements to have a paymate account. Since they have switch over banks or something. My question is why the hell they kept taking money from ebay buyers two months prior of them knowing the new changes? if i wasn't going to qualify anyways. They just gave me that lame excuse to keep my money really! And why they didn't post it clearly as of what the hell was going to happen not just simply right a paragraph saying we are going to change the way you received money etc nothing wasn't explained to me in details, not even an email i had to find out myself about this changes. i'm a power seller on ebay i never got charge back from buyers who paid using paymate so why couldn't i qualify really?

My friend went to theier corporate store and he said the're staff is about 3 people so really why this company still even exists and why if they new they were going to change banks they accepted more money from my buyers told me to send the items and kept my money and now they washing their hands saying ... Oh we change banks we cant do anything about it.

"This person is probably having an issue because their money is being held in a reserve account by Paymate's former banking partner, Chase Paymentech, which it can legally do for up to 6 months. "

"When this and the other seller signed up with Paymate they had to check that they agree to the terms of use which this policy is clearly stated. "

Now now lets get the facts straight. The original Paymate user agreement had no such wording.

Now Chase might have had the in their contract with Paymate, but Paymate didn't have it in their user agreement.

This person is probably having an issue because their money is being held in a reserve account by Paymate's former banking partner, Chase Paymentech, which it can legally do for up to 6 months. These reserves are held to cover potential chargebacks or refunds. The credit card company chargeback policies cause this issue as they allow a buyer to chargeback for an item for up to 6 months which companies like Paymate have to eat, because the money is usually not collectable from the seller such as this one. When this and the other seller signed up with Paymate they had to check that they agree to the terms of use which this policy is clearly stated. Though unfortuneate that a bank such as Chase would do this there is nothing illegal about it, and something this seller agreed to when they applied for an account with Paymate.

Please post a comment if you receive your money. I'm afraid it is a scam. I haven;t had any problems until June 15th when I was supposed to receive 3 deposits. I sent an e-mail and left a voice message. After 1 day I received a message from Greg Quinn stating that there had been some sort of computer glitch and my money would appear in a couple of business days. It has now been two weeks and nothing. I can now get no reply or anything. I am desperate for my money and don't know what to do.
