I bought a reload-it pack in order to put money on my pre paid debit card. The money was NEVER posted to the card. Called the card company NUMEROUS times i was ALWAYS given the run around. They wanted me to fax my store reciepts which was no problem but after the first time i faxed it i thought the issue would be resolved. NOT! Upon calling them back i was told they never got it and that i needed to fax it again to a different number. This went on for two more times after the inital fax until i told them this is a scam. Still w/o MY money the call center (or someones house because you can hear kids in the back) is a FRAUD. I mean seriously when i asked the rep for the corporate number he said they only have an e-mail. BOTTOM LINE IS THIS DO NOT DO NOT PICK UP A PAY POWER VISA OF ANY SORT. They need to realize what they are doing is ILLEGAL taking someones money and not doing what you were contracted to is a CRIME.

I bought a card and when i tried to add to pay power it immediately rejected me. When i called customer service they told me they appoligized what a joke. Then said buy another card and try to activate that now i am out a 150 dollars. I cant get a refund because customer service will not accept the card i bought to activate the power pay card i reload card. This is a scam. Trying to screw ppl with bad credit like we dont matter. And it seems like they send this all overseas so we dont have a chance but get screwed and we have to accept it

Same story as most, purchased card, paid my money, nothing on the card. Live agent no help, "card not activated" oops I have a statement it was" oh the cashier did not do it correctly, contact the Esso Station manager. He is never in, assistant say they did it correctly, it's Pay power fault. Well someone is enjoying my $ 66.00. Lesson learned, went to Scotiabank got prepaid visa, worked with in 24 hours NO PROBLEMS. Never buy Esso gas again or purchase anything that I cannot eat or drink right now from any gas station again. Big SCAM and rip off.

This company seems very shady. They want your social security # to open an account. Never heard of that before. I just wanted to activate a card my son had received as a gift. When I called to speak to a representative I checked the card balance on the automated menu. It said there was a 0 balance, which did not seem right, especially since we had never used it. When I finally spoke to a representative, he said he couldn't see the balance and asked how much was loaded on the card. I told him it was a gift and I had no idea. He told me I would have to contact the person who gave it to me. WHAT?!?! So basically somebody (the person who bought the Visa debit card) just gave this company money and we have nothing to show for it. I feel like they stole hard earned money from somebody. This seems very unethical and like a scam. Stay away from Pay Power!

Today 4/9/15 Paypower has closed my account they were dishonest. They closed the account and said I was in the wrong do not talk to yennie #00106 employee id she is a dishonest supervisor, a manager should reprimand her for this action. I am furious and I would like everyone to know they stole my money while my card was fraudulently used and will not reopen account, or the fraud case this company should be investigated by the FCC. This is criminal. DO NOT USE PAY POWER I HOPE THEY LEARN OR ARE FINED.

I have purchased a pay power card and power pack and tired to register it online. It wouldn't let me process the online and I had called in to do so. Now the CS rep on the phone was asking me the simple indentity questions and still would not pass the identification page. I also gave them my sin number. The lady on the phone said not a problem we will then refund the reload amount. She then ask me to scratch the back of the card which I did and told her the number. She then mention to me that the card was already used. I then called the customer service department everyday, to follow up on this. The 5th day I finally get an answer that paypower cannot do anything about it and I lost out $300.00. I asked them to investigate for me if they can find out where the other card was registered? And where that person made purchases and they refused to investigate further details. They then tell me I have to make a police report to investigate. I then three way the call to the police department at 42 division and the office still told the rep I cannot make a report because it wasn't frud done to me. The police department said they cannot make a police report because it is not a fraud directly done to me. It is a civil matter. Now I been trying to contact someone to help me and no one is helping me at pay power... I am a hardworking student who's trying to get some help, and answeres or at least some help instead of them saying I cannot help u. Visa is a secured credit card company who has millions of people's mkney secured and they refuse to help anyone. I work hard for my money and for someone to tell me they cannot help me when that's the companies job is unfair and you guys are taking advantage of innocent people and their hard worked money. Someone is gonna hear me out I will be sending an email to the Head office department. I will [censored] if someone doesn't listen or do anything about it. I been begging on the phone for someone to help me and no one listening. I wouldn't go through all the trouble for nothing. But this is what you people at paypower get for not listen to ur customers and when someone asked for help you help them, not shut them out and tell them to bad u lost your money. Terrible customer service. I hope all ur reps read this an understand how much u punished me, and made me feel not hearing me out!

I just did my taxes on taxact and they gave me the option to have it mail as a paper check direct deposited into my account or put on a prepaid paypower card and I chose to do the card. They told me it would be 7 to 10 business days well guess what it's been 10 business days now and no card. They keep sending me emails saying your card has shipped, get ready your paypower card should be there soon, and the last one was you should now have your paypower card. Well I don't and I have called them everyday checking the status cause after day 4 I decided to look up paypower as a company and found all these complaints about this place and I just handed my families hard working money over to them. I have a 4 year son and wife. We are about to be homeless because we had so much riding on that refund check that we will probably never see. Me and my wife are having a nervous breakdown over this and don't know what to do. All we get is a run around from customer service. But tommarow I'm calling the irs fraud hotline, as well as the fbi do to the fact that this is theft on whole other level. The sad thing is that they know it.

Beware of attempting to use PayPower or their Reloadit. Ihave been trying to add money to the Paypower VISA credit card with the Reloadit pack for the past 24 hours BUT it cannot be done. They have software issues and they are keeping my monies locked up in their "safe". Who knows when they will release the monies to the credit card. It's a mystery now. BEWARE OF USING THIS CREDIT CARD. PLEASE!

Pay Power Strikes Again

We have been waiting for almost a month for my card to get here. Talked them multiple times and still no resolution. I know now not to ever use this company again for my tax return. Every time we call we get different information relayed to us. The "Supervisor" doesnt know anything that can help anyone except give us the same info over and over. Tried to get the money loaded onto to another card and the keep telling us 3 to 5 business days 7 days ago. This company if it is a company has no clue whats going on. When asked to talk to a person that does card to card transfers they had no way of letting us talk to them. i would like to get a contact number for their corporate office.

I've never talked to people so rude and don't listen to you. I tried to ask questions and they told me I had no idea what I was talking about. I said I wanted to talk to a supervisor and he said, "No, I'm not getting one." I told him I've worked in call centers and he couldn't speak to me like that, the man just laughed at me, LAUGHED AT ME! Can you believe that? I'm just tired of being taken advantage of by people that can't speak English. I wish that more people would stand up and fight back. This might be one of the worst companies I've ever done business with. I'm filing a complaint with the Attorney General against the bank itself . There needs to be some sort of repercussion.

Made some returns on the card, the card got blocked. And it has been three weeks since then. First rep told me that my card will be available for use in two days, I waited a week and nothing happened. Called back and they told me they need receipts of the original purchase! What a scam! I wasted more than 3 hours going to stores trying to get copies of the receipts! And now I am still on the phone with them, because they left a voicemail that it was not what they are looking!

THIS IS BS!
Is there a way to complain to visa company? This is not have the business should be conducted!

I purchased moneygrams account now visa prepaid first time on 12/6/14 only card retailer had.uploaded $20, 00 plus 3.95 fee at cashier and went home to activate and register card for disabled sons internet purchases. they instantly took $4.95 off of $20.00 balance placed on card. they would not refund or cancel card. then they withdrew $4.95 within same monyth less then 2 weeks later for monthly fees and refused to refund or return money. my son spent $10.00 out of $20.00 that I placed on card and moneygram took the other half. This should be illegal. The percantage charged was half the money placed on the card and should be a crime. dont purchase moneygrams prepaid account one cards, i would never purchase anything by this company again.

I purchased 2 ($500) PayPower Visa Debit Cards for Christmas and took them home and placed them in my Safe box. A few days later, I called to activate the cards but was told the cards were already activated. I was given a reference number (ITR1427111) and was told that it appears to be tied to a scam thats been happening on their end. I was told to go a file a police report (Which I did) and given Charles County Maryland Sheriff Dept. Case Number ([protected]). However, upon calling back, I was told that I should have the local sheriff dept. take the case...And the Sheriff Dept. told me that I should Have PayPower take the case. BOTTOM LINE IS...IM OUT OF $1000 AND PAYPOWER TAKES NO CARE IN REFUNDING MY MONEY. THIS HAS REALLY DAMAGED MY HOLIDAY SEASON...IM SO UPSET THAT I CAN JUST DIE! I thought by purchasing these cards as gifts would give me some kind on security...IM LOST FOR WORDS! If someone hacks your info somehow...There is no hope for you. If I dont get some support here...I will Broadcast this on all my social media and even in the stores...NOT TO BUY THESE CARDS!

Hi, I was out if state for a wedding. I put $250.00 on it for money to get home. On the day I'm going to leave I realize the money never posted. I spent hours trying to figure out where my 250 bucks went in a panic because that was all the money I had left to get home. They said I should have tried to post it again even though when I called it in it said thank you your to load it pack will be available in 30 minutes. The "customer service reps" tried to pin it on me. Of course I threw the card and receipt away at a hotel across Seattle the night before. I went to the Safeway, got a receipt of exactly when where and what time and what register it was purchased (desperate and practically hyperventilating) and no one could help. Had to have gas money wired and as a direct result of their faulty system had to pull over sleep alone in a walmart parking lot because I was so tired I was about to drive off the road. (Which made me very uncomfortable being a young woman from out of state). I' am sickened and devasted to be out that much money.

I am going through the same thing with this company. I purchased 4 different reloadit packs total of 1948.00 went to put the money on my card and it wasn't there . It's been about a month fax all the paper work they told me to and still no results. I call in everyday and I'm basically told that I'm screwed out of my money. This company is a scam and needs to be stoped. Looking for an attorney who will defend not only me but everyone this company has done this to. They are truly Blackhawks let's stop them.

This paypower visa is a major rip off . I was given it as a gift 3 and a half months after purchase date so $75 is now only worth $45 of gas. ($5.95 gas retail service fee) Also wasted 2 hours time on useless website and trying to read very fine print (can`t read it) plus time on phone where staff was use less only seemed to know how I add more money to the card instead of helping me try to find ways to redeem the rest for my benefit instead of visas. I don`t want to ever use this card again so I am forced to pay $9.95 ($10) to close the account or keep paying $3.95 ($4.00) to reload this crap scam of a card? All the staff who got this for Christmas feel ripped off .

I agree this company is horrible. I called last year to block the card (at least that is what the customer service lady told me then) so no fees would accumulate while the balance was zero. I called while doing my taxes this year and was told that the block was undone and then she gave me my account info, routing info and a ticket number so I could put it on my taxes. It has been a few weeks so I tried to check it online and it told me that the card number I was entering was not found. I called to find out what was going on and the customer service lady told me that the card was cancelled not blocked. I informed her the situation and she put me on hold for like 10 minutes. When she got back on she told me there was nothing she could do I had to buy a new card because the operator that helped me before cancelled the card instead of putting the block on. I asked to speak to a manager because I refuse to pay for something that was their mistake. The manager was very rude as soon as she began the conversation. She would not let me finish my sentences. She said it was cancelled and that was that( in other words). HORRIBLE company do not use them.

I too have had my card declined for 3 straight days now when I have plenty of funds in my account. I have called customer service a minimum of 5 times per day and get the automated message to call later before it disconnects me. I've emailed them about the same issue and their response was "we are having a high call volume. You can always try again later." I responded that if they are able to email me, they need to address the issue that my card is being declined. They came back with the EXACT SAME ANSWER. Very frustrating. I'm about to have another paycheck deposited and no way of accessing me money to pay bills, buy food, etc.

The number I called for days would put me on hold after informing me my call maybe recorded then after an hour on hold it would say try your call again then hang up on me. seriously dissatisfied with this company clearly they don't have good service and it isn't good to hear so many people unhappy with it. PayPal is WAY better I will tell anyone I know do not waste your time putting their tax return or any of their income money on this card seriously dissatisfying extremely poor product.

Paypower held my $4000 for no reason and refuse to give me my money!
When I asked them to close my account and give me back my money, they refused!
You don't even have to put in your card number or identify yourself when you call them, they know you by your voice! They refuse to give their last names and the Nevada detectives are investigating them!
Don't use them!
They have at least 72 complaints on [redacted].com and at least 90 on pissedconsumer.com!

They claim that all the reviews online are not true and that they are reputable but they steal your identity and your money!
I sent them all the documents they requested and then they are asking for a copy of my paycheck to release the hold that they placed on my $4000 for NO REASON AT ALL!

PAYPOWER IS A SCAM!
PayPower stole $4000 from me!

I provided a Visa gift card purchased at Von's and issued by Blackhawk. I purchased it for a relative traveling from California to Nevada solely for the purchase of gas and other items for the trip. When my relative went to use it for the first time the card was declined. We called Blackhawk and were told that if you attempt to use the card directly at the pump the funds will be held on security hold for 3 days! I explained that my relative is at a gas station in the middle of the Mohave desert and the only funds he had were on the card. The representative said there's nothing he can do and referred us to the terms and conditions. After several hours stranded at the station I spoke to the owner and he agreed to fill the tank and allow me to personally wire the money to his bank account after checking my references. I cannot believe there wasn't a way for Blackhawk to release the hold based on confirmation especially in an emergency. I have filed complaints with the BBB and written both congressman and senator regarding this unacceptable business tactic.

Paypower Visa TravelMoney Card is a TERRIBLE product because you can be left stranded with NO way to add money to your Visa TravelMoney card because no Reloadit Packets are available at local authorized retailers for purchase.

I spent almost an entire day of vacation trying to add funds to two Paypower Visa TravelMoney cards. There was no way I could add funds to these cards other than purchasing the ReLoadit cards. I spoke to Paypower telephone reps and managers, etc but no one would permit me to add funds to these 2 cards via a charge from my personal visa platinum card (same card which I used to purchase the 2 Visa TravelMoney cards and load them with funds in the first place.

I called 6 local locations which sell the Reloadit packets and NONE of them had any reloadit cards in stock. Paypower still refused to allow me to load the 2 cards via a telephone or online transaction from my Visa Platinum card.

I contacted Visa for assistance and the telephone reps had no knowledge of these Visa TravelMoney Cards from Paypower. I will compliment the assistance I received from the Visa tele reps as they stayed with me through hours of telephone calls with Paypower and other Visa entities to try and help me during my emergency. Visa was NOT able to get a "Receive Code" from Paypower in order for me to do a MoneyGram transaction via telephone or online and via charge card instead of cash. The information on the Visa website is inaccurate based on the rules of Paypower Visa TravelMoney cards. I called and spoke with Paypower before I purchased the 2 cards and I was told i would be able to conduct transactions via telephone or online for these cards.

I learned that the Visa feature called "ReadyLink" (look for the logo on the back lower left of any travel card you are considering buying through VISA) which would have permitted me to load funds onto my 2 Visa TravelMoney Cards via telephone or online is NOT a feature of the Paypower Visa TravelMoney Card.

The only option I had was to take a cab on vacation to a local CVS store and make a MoneyGram transfer of funds to the 2 Paypower Visa TravelMoney cards. No one at Paypower or Visa could guarantee me the MoneyGram transaction would work, nor could they tell me if MoneyGram would allow me to charge the funds from my personal Visa Platinum card in order to load the 2 Paypower Visa TravelMoney Cards. In the end Moneygram could only accept cash because the cards were not part of the Visa "ReadyLink" benefit. Good thing I got cash at the hotel before taking the cab to the CVS or then I would have had to call another cab to take me to a local ATM and then back to CVS to do the Moneygram transaction. Moneygram took over 1 hour to complete the 2 transactions due to several errors by the staff.

In short - Consumer Beware these travel type debit cards. The information and instructions being written and discussed on phone and web is misleading and inaccurate and could cost the vacationer a great deal of stress and lost time.

DO NOT BUY PAYPOWER VISA TRAVELMONEY CARDS. If you have bought one immediately buy a reloadit packet in advance and pay the fee, even if you are not sure if you will need it as they are NOT always available at local retailers. READ all these comments. Call Visa to complain if you have had problems with Paypower Visa TravelMoney Cards.

I recieved a PayPower card when I filed my taxes. Boy... What a mistake! The card works fine, but the customer service is absolutely the worst I have ever encountered with a bank. For example, I ordered a replica of a James Bond watch worn by 007 in the movies for a friend, as a gift. About a month later, the broken watch was delivered in pieces! I tried to return the watch, but the seller would not provide me with an address. I tried many times to resolve the matter with the seller, but to no avail. So, I filed a dispute. I have NEVER heard one word about my dispute or the results. When I called, a man named "Richard" hung up on me! I have faxed them all of the information they ask for on the dispute form (along with an admission from the seller that he ripped me off!), but they have done nothing... nothing! I am out $100 now, and Pay Power will not make good on its promises. I swear to God, Himself, that I will call every regulatory agency, and notify every complaint board I can find, about this obvious den of thieves. Stay far away from them. Get a prepaid card from Wal-Mart.

I recently just had my taxes done and the person who did my taxes recommended pay power the company sent my card to the wrong address then they told me if i buy a reload pack they would transfer my tax refund from the card that was sent to the wrong address to the re loadable card i could find those cards no where in Ark or TN so i gave them a call they said they would send another card to the right address but i would have upload 5-20 dollars to a re loadable card and i explained to them i couldn't find their cards anywhere so anyway so they waive the fee so i could get another card and said i will get my card in 10 days. I called on the 16 of February my refund was put on the card on the 25 now this is march 1st i still haven't received my card i called again they said the card was mailed on the 19 but i had other agents said the 16. I hate to say it but the company makes themselves look awful it just sad they play with people money I'm going to wait few more days if i don't receive my card I'm calling the IRS. And contacting the FBI i do go to school for Law and i know whats right and wrong
