Panera Bread service and cleanliness

I visit Panera Bread with my family in the Keene, NH location weekly and have done so for a few years now. There are many issues: - Slowness - On average when you get in the line and you are the 3rd person waiting in line, you wait about 15 minutes to be served. - Never Hazelnut coffee or regular coffee available. Always empty - Never condiments available, always waiting for cream to be refilled - Management is extremely under-motivated - Cleanliness of facility - The walls are full of dust and dirty I have talked to the management about all of this and they do not seem to care about the complaints. You need to visit this location on a Saturday morning and see for yourself. I hope someone cares as I like the franchise and hate to move on but many of us are getting frustrated with the lack of service. No one seems to care at all the money that is being lost. Thanks, Renee Thompson

Panera Bread general management

I live right around the corner from Panera so we go there with some frequency. I also have visited many Panera locations and I can say without a doubt, this is the worse managed Panera Bread I've ever visited. Just today, my family was at their door at 7:15 a.m. Both doors were locked but there was a group of about 12 men around a table doing some kind of book study. We didn't realize it at the time, but the manager was at that table. We went to both doors and finally he came to the door and opened it. Not a hello, a sorry for not being open when they were supposed to be -- nothing. We went to the register to order but no one was there. Finally someone arrived and she took the order of ALL of the men before letting us order. We finally get to the register to order and was told no one was there to make breakfast sandwiches. What? The location was supposed to be open but no one is in the kitchen? We have to get a bagel or a muffin and it was clear that the bagel I got at least was not fresh. This is ridiculous. I've had problems with this location in the past and because it is close, I continue to go there. I'm done though. I will drive 15 minutes to the nearest Einstein's or 20 minutes to the next nearest Panera. Both of those are well-managed, cordial, their food is fresh and they are organized and responsive. This location needs new management -- desperately. I can say without reservation that my experiences cannot be isolated incidents. This has been an ongoing problem from day one and I've reached my limits. I've tried to give them chance after chance hoping the management would do what it takes to improve but it has not. Don't bother going there. Service is terrible, you wait for your food only to find that it has been sitting at the bar, they run out of bread at 8:00 a.m.? How is that? The headquarters needs to look into why these problems still persist.

Panera Bread catering

Yesterday I called the Chelmsford, MA Panera Bread location to confirm they can deliver next day, to my company, a lunch order for ten people. They told me, just go on line and order your order before the end of day. I put together an order for ten lunch items plus drinks, my credit card got charged the full amount plus service and tip, but the order did not arrive. I phone them, they apologized it, told me next time to phone ahead (which I did)! Ten hungry and angry business guests had to run around looking for something to eat.

Panera Bread bad treated employees

I went to butler Panera bread and a girl was doing 2 jobs. She came out from the back and was crying. It is not there job to take over someone else's job. That is what the managers are for. Also you only ever see girls doing that job which I think is sick, that's a guys job to take out the trash unless the girls don't mind doing it but this girl. She has a unique name and even though she was upset she was very nice. She shouldn't be doing dining room.

Panera Bread terrible service

I ordered and prepaid through the online "rapid-pickup" service before 10am on Monday for an order I needed to pick up at 3:30pm on Tuesday (well over 24 hours in advance). The store left a message at my home number the next day 2 minutes before the scheduled pick-up to say they didn't have what I ordered. Of course, my husband was already there to pick it up. Instead of just apologizing & offering a solution, the manager proceeded to tell him everything I could have done different to make sure they had my order. The store manager insisted it can take over a day for internet orders to appear at the store so they just received it, therefore I should have ordered earlier. Also, seasonal items aren't that popular so they don't make that many to begin with & it disrupts there morning baking schedule so I should just substitute for something they already had. I should have just asked for a refund at that point, but I needed the order for a meeting the next morning. They said they would have it ready by 6am the next day. I had to get up an hour early, drive 20 minutes each way before work to get the order & when I arrived they hadn't bothered to tell the day shift what was going on. So I had to wait AGAIN while they tried to locate my order. I left with the food but still no apology for the inconvenience. I sent an email later that day to the corporate service team via their website telling them how disappointed I was in their service. It is now 2 days later and they haven't bothered to respond either. This company does not care about its customers. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PANERA!

Panera Bread bread bowls

I love Panera and most of the food offered, but the one item I go in to buy all of the time is the Creamy Tomato Soup in a Bread Bowl. The problem is, I hardly ever receive this order because after 4:00PM, Panera seems to run out of bread bowls. This has been happening to me for years and when the bread bowls are not available, I do not order anything else, I go home to eat. This happens to all of my friends as well. If the establishment is called Panera BREAD, and one of the most popular items is a BREAD bowl, shouldn't the company be able to supply a sufficient amount of BREAD? I understand that the company does not want to create a surplus of bread and waste it, but they should at least have enough for an entire days worth of orders.

Panera Bread customer service

This complaint is for your new.store located in McDonough, Ga, store #4313. I visited your store for the first time on Monday, October 19 and ordered the FULL turkey, Apple and cheddar sandwich, To Go. After receiving my order, I noticed my bag was a little light in weight, check my order while still in the store.and noticed it.was only a 1/2 sandwich.. I told the lady at the counter, that was pulling out all the orders for the customers, that I ordered a full samdwich, but only received a half sandwich. She immediately let me know she would make the order correct. She heldthe bag, said she made the corrections and handed me the bag back. Again I checked my order, while stiill in your store and still again, only a half sandwich. there were so many employees working the kitchen, the front area, just walking around laughing with each other but no one was paying attention to what they were giving the customers. There was a gentlman, and I'm thinking he was the manager of the store at the window when all this happened and he apologized for everything. I visited you store again tonight, October 21, purchased a 1/2 chicken Caesar salad, and a 1/2 apple, cheddar and turkey sandwich. After placing my order, I went to the pick up area and stood in line. There was another Lady and gentleman waiting for their orders as well. My order was placed, according to my ticket at 6:20pm. After i got in line, the next person that was there was a young lady, one of your employees, on her break and waiting on her food as well. after standing and talking to some of the other employees she eventually went to the front of the line. After I stood there for a.period of time I went to the front of the line and ask your employee for the time. She.responded it was 6:37pm and at that time, the gentleman in front of me and I still had.not received our food. after still standing there, I started to noticed that all the orders that were coming out that kitchen was for the people that were eating in, no take out orders, so finally I went to the window to check on my order. The names on your board that the customers could see was getting longer and longer. One of the ladies behind the counter ask the other Lady that seem to be in charge, if she saw my name on her board. She said no. Apparently there was severals boards that they work off of, nobody cross checking to make sure everything to going as it was suppose to. There was so many employees passing us and no one ever stop to find out why your "to.go" pick up line was almost at your front door, that how many people was waiting at one time. This was my second visit and I must say, I really dont think I will continue to spend my money at this location. You have a Accuracy Matters saying, that.mentions, " Your order should correct.everytime. if it's not, we will fix it right away, and give you a free treat for your trouble". On my first visit, I have a incorrect order and NOBODY OFFERED ME ANYTHING, including the manager. I'm not sending this complaint in in hopes of getting anything free, I'm sending this complaint in in hopes of your getting you store in order and give good customer service. You may not take this complaint serious, but please understand we have have a choice inwhere we spend our money If anyone wants.to.contact me, my number is [protected] or.my.email address is [protected]@ymail.com. Panera Bread bread & bowl of soup

Bread was ok but advertising it as a "bowl" insinuates to me that I actually get a "bowl" of soup. They provide a cup of soup with their bread bowl, hardly enough to moisten the bowl, and the apple provided was obviously last years, or from far far away and had a blemish as if a fingernail had been used to gouge it. Not to mention it was about 1/2 the size of a normal apple. Felt thoroughly taken.

Panera Bread employee sitting in dinning area, with very bad cold

We went to enjoy a meal at Panera Bread, in West Lafayette Indiana. It was busy and there was very little sitting available. At the booth next to the table we sat at there was a young lady who was obviously ill. I looked around to move, but there was not an empty table to be found, except closer to her. As we ate she continued hacking, coughing and constantly blowing her nose. I notice that she had an apron on. Finally I had enough and started packing up - just to escape! She got up, and then we realized that she was an employee, as we left she was behind the counter spreading her germs to any and all! WE WON'T BE BACK!

Panera Bread customer service and uncooked food

I was elated to have a Panera within short driving distance of our home. I have gone to our store in Killeen, Texas, several times to include the drive thru. We were driving through Killeen last night and ate a late dinner at Panera (after 8pm). I had to ask the lady behind the counter if she could help us, no one is in the line, just us and she stood there and said nothing. I asked for some bakery items since they are the first thing. I asked her what a cobblestone was and she pointed to the Cinnamon Raisin bread and said that was what it was. We moved on down to the register, she rung up our baked goods and I had to tell her we wanted to order other items, she was telling us how much we owed. This girl never spoke except when we had questions and tell us the amount of baked goods. I ordered my item, steak and white cheddar half with creamy tomato soup, only item I get there beside pumpkin muffie. Husband to girl behind counter what does the Asiago steak sandwich have on it. girl: steak and cheddar, husband: uumm you sure? girl: yes, husband: what comes on a turkey bacon bravo? girl: uumm, husband looked online, and said he would take one of them and turkey chilli. daughter ordered a grill cheese. husband ordered water, myself large sweet tea and daughter organic chocolate milk. food came out in 10 to 15 minutes: PROBLEM TIME! “David” brought out two of our items first: steak white cheddar and tomato soup (no spoon) and turkey bacon bravo w/turkey chili I take a bite of my steak and cheddar and set the sandwich down on the plate and noticed bright red spots mixed with horseradish and oil. I think I cut my hand somehow and look at my hands and no cut. Husband lifts top of sandwich roll and there it was the source of the blood. Part of the sandwich was bright red to pink, (like a rare steak). My husband talked with David and was told that is the way it is suppose to look. I interjected that it was not like that the several times before when I had ordered the sandwich. David stood there waiting for my husband to take the plate back and which time my husband said well can we get it cooked longer to where it is at least pink? David gave it to the folks behind the food counter. David then brought out my daughter’s grill cheese, it was at this time I asked for a spoon for my soup. My daughter went and looked around the lobby for a spoon even a plastic one and no spoon. My husband gave me his spoon, so I could at least eat my soup. He started eating his sandwich and then said wait a minute, isn’t my turkey bacon bravo suppose to have bacon on it? he picked through all layers of his half sandwich to make sure he didn’t miss a small piece of bacon. To no avail, no bacon! David has passed our table twice to go to the table behind us… still no spoon…. David brings me sandwich back and still no spoon, we ask him yet again for a spoon. David brings spoon. I tell David “don’t go anywhere, the chili might be cold” this is when David said “THERE IS A MICROWAVE OVER THERE UNDERNEATH THE COUNTER AND YOU CAN HEAT IT BACK UP!” (SAID THIS WHILE POINTING) I would like to let you know how much was bought at your establishment: 1 half steak and white cheddar with creamy tomato soup 1 turkey bacon bravo with turkey chili 1 grill cheese 1 chocolate chip muffie 1 pumpkin muffie 1 package of chocolate chippers (12 petite cookies) 1 cup of water 1 organic chocolate milk 1 large sweet tea roughly $44.00 of our hard earned money for a family of three. We were treated horribly and paid to be treated as such. It might be worth your wild to hire folks that enjoy to earn money and be around customers and take pride in their job. David and the two gentleman I could see at the food counter had more fun talking about social media and comics. I told my husband I was not going to eat that horrible sandwich. The cheese was not even melted only greasy…. manager on duty credited our debit card for my meal and I am still wondering if that enthusiastic register girl cared to give us our 99 cent charge for at least three of our bakery items sense that is what the sign on the register states. I did mention it to her. This place is suppose to be upscale and we don’t mind paying for the food if the food is worth it. With all due respect this was the visit from heck and almost thought for a moment we were getting “punked” David was that hateful and non caring attitude. Total Shame, I prided myself in the customer service occupation . God Bless, this location is going to need it after 8pm anyway.

Panera Bread one store in rancho cucamona, ca on 4th street

After a Movie we went for a cherry pastry. If this was my first time I'd never go back. We decided to order 2 broccoli cheese soups. They brought 1. My wife had broccoli, mine had a hint of broccoli in a watery soup. I got a knife for my bread. It was filthy. I asked for another and they had none. We were left plastic forks. They had no ice in the soda machine. The towel dispenser in the restroom was ripped from the wall exposing electrical wires. The broken dispenser lay on the floor in a heap with a paper roll stuck on top. What a mismanaged mess. So unlike other Punier stores. Thought you'd like to know.

Panera Bread change of menu

Why change a good thing. I've gone to Panera bread for at least 5 years with my husband and always had the French onion soup and smokehouse turkey Panini but was told the other day they no longer make that sandwich and the French onion soup is now seasonal in the summer only. I have no reason to go back anymore. The entire menu has changed and not for the good.

Panera Bread classic salad

I picked up salad at ~1:00 PM from Panera Bread; came to my room and put the salad in refrigerator for the evening supper. As my wife open the salad container, there was a dead fly in the salad. I immediately called the Panera Bread where I purchased it; talked to the Manager on duty. He said, it is possible and he would file my complaint to their extermination dept. Then he said that he would send me a gift certificate immediately; This was a week ago. I was going to tweet it; however, I wanted to give them another chance to see whether they are diligent in their following the fly problem.

Panera Bread grilled cheese sandwich

03 Oct 2015 New Hartford NY Ordered a grilled cheese sandwich...first time for this sandwich at Panera. The sandwich in the picture on their menu looks yummy. What we got was something totally different. (See attached pics - you can tell which are which). Complained to the manager...she said she's make another, but that's how it would come out again. It tasted like grilled bread...no cheese flavor at all...false advertising? I'd like a refund or voucher for a free sandwich next time we visit.

Panera Bread everything

We recently moved from Oklahoma to Colorado and the closest Panera Bread to our house is in Front Range Village in Fort Collins. I have never been to a worse Panera. We have been at least 5 times in the past month at different times of day (Panera used to be one of our fast casual staples). No matter what time of day we arrive, the customer service is always horrible. We have been told that the coffee had not been changed in 2.5 hours "because (I) haven't had time." "Time" has been mentioned to us twice actually. When you are in customer service, it is your job to serve customers pleasantly. Lack of time should *never* be mentioned. Your time as an employee is of no relevance to a paying customer. When we arrived 45 minutes before close on a Sunday evening, the man taking our order acted as if we were unwelcome. A fast casual restaurant should have a full menu available until close every day. Service employees do not get off at the exact moment a restaurant closes. It is understood by all that restaurants have closing procedures, however they should not interfere with serving customers during business hours. The scones at this panera are by far the worst scones I have ever had. My husband now refuses to order them. After 3 tries, the quality is consistently awful. We have trusted Panera for years, in fact, I have eaten lunch at Panera at least 3 times a week for the past year and a half. However, this Panera is so unreliable that Panera will no longer be an option for us.

Panera Bread hair found in my salad

The date of was September 29, 2015 and my client number is Cafe Order 131244. I bought a half order of power kale chicken Caesar salad and found a hair. My hair was wrapped so I know it was not mine. When I ate the salad at home, I looked inside the box and saw a long hair on the side and I threw the rest of the salad away. I would like a clean and fresh salad with no hair with no charge. Panera Bread lack of service complaint

Ive been a loyal Panera customer for over 2 years. one of the main reason Ive continue to order from your several locations was due to the excellent customer service. But lately, ive been very disappointment with the lack of service provided at this store. I usually order for rapid pickup, for lunch. and most of the time my order is incorrect, or my order is never ready on time. The staff are always socalizing rather then working. There a manager who works there by the name of Gus, he was beyond rude and unprofessial. Today, i was very upset, because he placed me on hold twice, and wouldnt let me finish talking, and we both became argumentative. I also notice that his workers tend to yell at him, in front of customers!.This is completely unacceptable. This location is ruining the panera bread brand.

Panera Bread change in pricing

My wife and I have been customers of yours for several years in Michigan and Florida. We were accustomed to ordering your cup of soup and one half sandwich for $6.99. Today we tried to order the same, and were told that program no longer exists. My wife ordered a cup of soup for $3.69, and one half Turkey Apple Chedar sandwich for $5.49. This order totals $9.18. It represents a 31% increase over the previous $6.99 price. When informed of your new policy, I ordered only a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup at $5.29. It also has been watered down from previous orders. We also normally had a soft drink to go along with our meal.Needless to say, we will no longer be dining with you. These policies may improve your bottom line, but you have lost our respect.
