IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

We are aware that there are many organizations that attempt to obtain payment or personal details electronically from people under a variety of pretexts.

The National Lottery and indeed other lotteries are sometimes falsely used as part of these scams. We believe that some of these organizations are based overseas, often targeting people resident abroad.

Please be aware that there are many e-mail scams and attempts to de-fraud people using methods similar to these, and we would warn strongly against pursuing this type of e-mail without rigorous investigation to establish whether it is of a genuine nature

I was contacted via text 2 weeks ago and that I was to receive 850, 000 GBP by Paul Kelly who claimed he was in fact a claims agent on my behalf all I had to do was give my bank a prize payment application filled out by me and then email a copy of this back to him which I thought rather odd. I apparently was randomly selected by a computer network so I didn't worry much at that point. He obviously wanted something with my signature in writing with my banking details that I had already previously texted through to him. So unless he has access to a password secured or the technology he is in for a very rude awakening. I have already informed my bank and thank goodness I didn't pay the NZ750.00 dollars for the foreign remittance clearance and the non-resident tax with my visa debit card that would have been foolish. He is good and maybe he will get away with his fraudulent scam because here in NZ they are falling for it by the text loads...
