One Source Talent Stay away

I am going to be brief…this review is really for those of you who are considering going to them for a jump-start in the modeling/acting industry. All I can say is: STAY AWAY. The people who work there are like robots who have obviously memorized, rehearsed, and recited a SALES PITCH! I have been in the modeling industry for over ten years and have worked with fantastic photographers (those who have worked with celebrities and for “VOGUE” and Oscar de la Renta to name a few) so I have a hard time believing that OST has photographers that can come close to competing with them! But they told me that I would have to still pay the fee and use their photographers. NO agency will ask for money up front. They claim that they are NOT a modeling or talent agency…if that’s the case then where do they get off trying to take money from people trying to break into the business? A REAL agency will be selective with their talent.Upon arrival to my “interview” I felt a red flag go off when I got ushered into a waiting room like cattle. The one-on-one meeting was also a joke and they tried to get me to return the next day; NO THANK YOU. I feel like they take advantage of people who have dreams for themselves or their children to become actors or models. I am almost 100% sure that the person I met with spoke fast b/c she knew I had experience (based on the 2 lines they give you to name your previous experience)and knew that I wouldn’t be returning and that I knew it was a scam.

One Source Talent Dont be fooled by sanabel billan

Scam doesn't even describe it. I met with this "talent coordinator" sanabel billan, probably a decoy name.
She asked me some basic questions to attempt to lend herself credibility in perpetrating a real agent.
I asked if she was going to set me up for acting / modeling interviews for jobs, she said yes.
I asked if she was looking for money from me, she said no.
All lies!

Sanabel billan is a miss - leading, lying, deceptive, conniving and immoral ###!
I want my 1, 000$ back you stole from me!

Don not trust one source talent! They are a scam!

One Source Talent Does nothing you can't do yourself

No agency in the country, (or whatever they want to call themselves), that claims they are trying to actually help you get started in the entertainment industry will only insist you go to just one photographer in the whole city! In fact, any legitimate agency will give you a list of working photographers they have cleared and then let you decide who you want to work with. But One Source Talent only recommends one person in each city they have an office in because they get kick backs from that photographer from the referral. All they do is scam young talent in order to make money. I recommend to any person trying to get into the industry, that they go directly to a reputable model or acting agency, (Ford, Elite, Wilhelmina, Click, Commercials Unlimited, CAA... I guarantee they give you a list of photographers and they don't get kick backs! I've worked in the business for over 30 years.

One Source Talent Predatory Company

One Source Talent is a SCAM. I applied for an audition online. They called and said they wanted to see me, and they wanted me for a role...though they had never even seen what I look like, nor did they know anything about my exprience. I went to the meeting and met with some "casting director" and she said things like "Your Cute! " and "Your so sweet"...then she told us that I needed headshots but they had to be taken by their photographer and it would cost up to 500 dollars for the photo shoot. Then she'd run me through the system every 13 months and call me IF i got a job. Also, if I signed with them it would be 40 dollars a month even if I never got a job. one word..SCAM.

Indeed. I responded to an ad that said. " Casting for Shoot in Studio City, Extra's 450 a day at end of shoot". Said I had to fill out a form on-line. Was called next day...Instant "bell" for me was the ...This is your "conformation number" Because this is NOT AVALIBLE TO THE PUBLIC...eh?...not avalible to the public huh...What am I?...i'm not "the public"...You could also hear what sure sounded like a boiler room to me in the backround...Very poor guys...I'm not wasting a drop of gas, or anymore of my time with garbage like this. Never pay anything up front. Am amazed folks actually went down for the "interview". People are desprate BIG time i guess...sad...very, very sad.

One Source Talent How dare you scam people!!!

Out of all the years i've been in this world i have never had anything like this happen to me. I read all the blogs and please beleive that this is true. Do you think the scank would have told me that she tripple billed me? Ofcourse not but thats ok i got some of my money back from the other side. Wow it's unbeleivable how they make people come from all over just to mislead them this place needs to be shut down and the people need to be in jail for real. I knew something was up when she kept walking out of the damm room. Let them try and bill me now they won't get thru. I'm definitely not going to this so called mandatory appt because i will probably choke her. Attention: this is a big scam and the sadd part about this is not only on adults on children too they don't give two peices of brown stool about anyone why wouldn't they care to take your money too. Hopefully this will reach people if not good luck with one source talent (The scammers) . . .

One Source Talent Huge scam

To Whom It May Concern: The below is the letter that I wrote to One Source Talent, they are a huge scam and I will continue to blog, until justice is serviced.

I am requesting a full refund of the $495 and also the monthly website fee; as I previously discussed with Marissa and Nancy regarding my issues. When I got home, I immediately started investigating your organization. I realized not only am I very unhappy with your overall reviews and reputation but my pictures that were placed on your site are far from professional and do me no justice. Furthermore, my measurements were never taken.

Both during the presentation and interview the following day, One Source Talent made your organization sound as if you were an agency. Then as I proceeded to look further at the casting calls, there were only three MI-based open positions and the others were out of state and/or non-paying jobs. I understand it takes time and hard work to build up a resume, but the representation of your booking department is misleading. I was also told I would know when or if I would be submitted for opportunities.

Marissa told me she would email me open opportunities and/or I could personally speak with the booking department, then I was told that person that I needed to speak with already went home. Nancy from Customer Care did call me back and advised me to send this fax to get my issue resolved civilly.

I talked to my attorney and contacted the Better Business Bureau and their suggestion was to make sure I contacted your organization and insist on a full refund. Michigan's Right to Refusal is within a three-day grace period for a fully entitled refund. I was not looking for overnight fame and understand there is no guarantee, but the $495 caught me off guard and this is just not something that I feel is right for the starting point of my future career.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.

I went to OST agency yesterday (Dallas, TX Office). They were extremely nice. Had my first interview, and was asked to come back. I asked them about any cost, and was told there wasn't any by the front desk girl as I was leaving. Came back for my second interview, and was told the director absolutely loved my look, and how marketable it was. THEEEN all of a sudden, "Sign this contract, How would you like to pay today" PAY? I was told there isn't...No there's a $500 start-up fee plus $39.99 a month. In other words. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, OR MONEY FOR THIS SCAM COMPANY! PLEASE!

One Source Talent Scam

I could tell you all about how BAD One Source Talent is but if you check and read this site you will see that it's more, Bad than good, and everything is true! let"s face it if your an aspiring actor or a parent you want to get there and fast, So you'll try anyone who's giving you the chance it's only human to do it. When your a parent and everyone is saying your child is so cute they should be in modeling or on tv. There are companies that will take your MONEY! Why not? your willing to give it to them in hopes of a dream. People You have to work for it and they should too. This Place is a Big SCAM and should be put out of business cause when you have wanna be actors and hard working peolpe in a room. And there telling you that they can make it happen for you is wrong. All that money you can put towards yourself in photos and classes, no one wants to hear that cause they just want it Now. However you could sometimes get it, by looking in Backstage/Ross reports all the legitiment agencies are there! find Agents that have been around FOREVER why? because they know what they are doing and they work with all the top companies, Submmit photos with a self addressed stamped envelope and if they like you, they'll call you in. Be prepared with extra photos, Comps. Your on your way it's time to be ready! the agents don't have time to play with you, Everyone wants it too! Follow these instructions and you'll be fine. GOOD LUCK TO ALL.

After doing a little back tracking and research, I came across some other sites for scams and One Source happens to be on. But by looking at the bottom of the site you'll see / one source .com even on face book where you may notice that everything is one source and everything is positive and everybody is working and been with the company for years. If you really look close you'll notice something is not quiet right. One source has bought up other sites to counter at the negative against them. So you will see for every bad report it's three positive and happy long time worker, but look up the jobs they got and it's some extra in a commerical or film it says they did a job for MTV with a little clip and maybe a mag ad. No real positive legit work that you could tell some about or a agent could see you in and want to hire you for. there facebook ad does'nt even look real. if you don't believe it, go on yourself and compare them to the real Agents. get Backstage hand book or go online to backstage.com to get all you need. If you pull up there name /scam.

One Source Talent SCAM!!!

!ONE SOURCE TALENT IS A SCAM!

One Source Talent, model agency, charged me about $600.00 for fees. I provide my personal digital
pictures. I have been told by Sanabel Billan I would be sent to castings and they would send my photos on demands. Nothing from them. I apply by myself to some castings, even the websites were wrong. I called them everyday, either they told me to be patient or didn't return my calls. I did some research on the Net and I read that corp is a SCAM.
I am not the only one who has been trapped like that. On June 29th, I made a stop to my CC Bank of America.
I sent all the papers to the Dispute Dept and this fake agency told them it's not refundable.
I refuse to be conned like this specially when I am unemployed. I cannot pay, I cancel my CC.
I am turning to you to help me to get my money back. What can I do?

What you can do is be your own self. You read something about the company and cry like a little baby. POINT OF ADVICE! every company is going to have good and bad things about it. I'm sorry if the clients didn't like your look because maybe you are not what they are looking for. And go get some reading lessons, if somethings says "non-refundable" that means you can't get your money back! goshh.

Around mid-March I signed up with One Source Talent and like many others here, reluctantly paid 495 + 39.95. Although this was ridiculous, I was asked back for a 3rd "interview" and the so-called "talent coordinator" was trying to force me to pay for their photographers, which was in excess of $400. So, before you get any jobs - if you get any jobs - you're are out nearly $1000. Since I could not pay for this, I was sent home; yet the interview states someone would look over my resume and cover letter. This never happened, which to me indicates a breach of contract. By the way I went to the Miami one and live about 2 1/2 hours away. In the meantime, I researched the company in depth, which I should have done before I went. I read every consumer problem on this website. Also, they are not with the BBB as of January 2011 and they had a C+ rating previously. There is another site that asks if this is a scam and a lot of people commented on that site saying it wasn't. I know for a fact that those people or most of them are employees or managers of the company. I decided to give them a chance so here is what I proposed. The show Burn Notice is set in Miami and I really wanted to get on the show. So, I said if you get me on Burn Notice, I will be somewhat satisfied. She said she would definitely check. While she was checking, I signed up with 2 different actual talent agencies who I paid ZERO dollars for. Within 2 days, I was asked to be on the set of Burn Notice and I was. So, when I returned home, I emailed the manager and asked if she had checked for me. She said that Burn Notice started a week ago from the day I was on it. This I know was not true as I was on the first day of the shoot. I have all the emails saved in case I want to get a lawyer. She also mentioned she submitted me to the Glades, which is also shot on location in South Florida. The other agency I signed up for for free also submitted me to the Glades and I was accepted to be on the show. I have already received my check from Burn Notice minus the 10% agency fee. So, here is the problem with OST. All they do is what you can do yourself. They submit you "supposedly" but they say if a director wants you they will call you. They are also making you pay for their website, which simply gets most of their castings from realitywanted.com where you can sign up for free. A Real talent agency sends of your photos (you don't necessarily need a comp card) to the producers and directors and oftentimes they tell the agency to send people of certain characteristics to them. In other words the agency decides to send you, then you simply follow instructions to whomever you need to report to on the set. It is VERY EASY to become an extra, which is by far the best way to break in the industry. Since OST is NOT an agency (although I was told it was) they DO NOT have rapport with directors like a real talent agency does. I have never acted professionally until I was on the set of Burn Notice. I was given a name of an agency by another extra. This agency sends me work at least twice a week. OST is border line legit, but definitely very corrupt. It is okay to pay for websites like exploretalent because you are paying them for audition information and I know for a fact they call producers to check if the producer is legit and how much money you will make. Given this, I did not mind the 39.95 from OST because it is a monthly website fee and many websites do do this so they can run it; however, the 495 fee is absolutely ridiculous. With all this said - Have they given people jobs? The real answer is yes. BUT - these people submitted themselves, paid lots of money, and few, if any, have gained maximum exposure. In other words, they paid 495 + 39.95 + 400 or more to submit and market ON THEIR OWN by clicking a few buttons on the website. As most actors and actresses say - never ever pay up front.

I was begged by one of their members about a few months ago to come in and "modal for them" apparently I have a look they really wanted. I had finally found their web sight again and gave them a call.
The girl who called me back was rude, and got mad that I couldn't come in the exact day she wanted. When I explained I had a HUGE business meet I was conducting and coudnt get away she with a foul voice said" fine I suppose we'll call you next week then since you have other little things to do" . That was off putting and shold have been my first hint. They called back and were very nice so I had made another appointment.. I had explained that I was not sure and the girl said" I know its a 2 hour drive for you and I really hope you come in we really want to see you so you have to come in" that is why I even agreed. On the drive there I called to find out the exact location of the building. The girl at the front desk Mitchell was very rude and HUNG UP ON ME. I called about 20 times and she just kept hanging up on me and would say " I don't care" or " what do you want". I was never rude to her I had even said that her hanging up on me was my fault even though I knew she hung up on me.
I walked in and thanked her for telling me how to get there and said I was sorry for any confusion Mitchell rolled her eyes and said well to bad go home.
After discussion with her she called her boss. who was even ruder then her. I showed her my call log saying look I called. I even explained that I wasn't mad about going home I was mad how rude every one was. She ended up saying that my time was worth nothing to her and that she had done all the talking she wanted to do ( this was the second phrase out of her mouth).
If I were you I would find a talent agency who is not rude!

I know this is late on the post but Sammi88, I happen to know your an employee or rep or something of that kind. Just like you all I've had a very rude, inexplicable experience with them. But as to Sammi88 I've read that same post many times, on comment forums as well as advertising websites such as Dripoo.com. That must be part of your job to go find complaints and remarks and copy and paste your prompt for ultimate persuasion. I'm warning you all now this is a major scam. There has been undercover reports done, all hoping to find a great response but, ended up with a fraud reports. These under covers shall rename nameless. They appear to be all friendly and what not but looks can be deceiving. All they want is your money. When I arrived everybody seemed so agitated like they had so much to do rather then wasting their time on me. I was even shockingly scolded for thinking over whether to pay the 495.00$, yes 495.00$, for a comp card. This was just unbelievable. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, ONE SOURCE TALENT IS A SCAM! Also, this is something to definitely think about: Why wouldn't they want commission? Because they have already made the money they want from you when you gave money for the 39.00$ monthly fee and 495.00$ comp card.
By the way, these are the findings of a 13 year old girl, that girl is me.

I was just there today. This place is a total scam. They make you wait forever because they clearly feel that your time means nothing and it's all part of their "we are so awesome here" motif. My story is similar to everyone else's on here. They ask you a few stupid questions and then do the "leave the room to evaluate you" routine. They come back and congratulate you on being one of the elite to be picked by them. They then hit you up for all their fees. I hesitated for a few minutes then the girl started yelling at me that I wasted her time. Stay away from this place!

I'm researching this because at the beginning of November, I signed my daughter up w/OST and since i paid them, I've been the one contacting them. I've had no help in finding casting calls for my 13yr daughter. When I call them they say be patient it takes time. I made another appointment with Darlene Gilbertie and she was very rude to me. Were it not for me child being present it would have probably gotten very ugly in that office. I talked with her again today and she again was very rude and told me she couldn't deal with me.

One Source Talent Scam services

One source talent, model agency, charge me $534. 95 for fees on june 24, 2009. I provide my personal digital
Pictures. I have been told i would be sent to castings and they would send my photos on demands.

Sincerely,
Jackie kirks

i totally think this is a scam for all you people that really want to get into the acting business do some research first . this is my story. i applied for one source talent in the internet i waited like 2 days and they called me saying all this bull. about how they want chu to go i was so happy because of course my dream is to be on the acting bussiness, we go blind from happiness that we dont see the reality, anyways i went to the apointmet i had and i got there 15 minutes late because i live far from los angeles, once i got there the lady was pissed off she told me all mad that i was 20 minutes late and that i could never do that again, they made me fill this application, and then my moms friend was with me so they told her she couldnt be there only a parent, i guess because me and my mom were gonna be so excited about all the bull. they said that my mom friend was gonna be able to notice it was a scam unlike us . So they made me go inside this room where they were you would watch a concert from beyonce, they called my name i went in there the girl asked me a few questions and then she told me she saw potential in me and that she wanted me to come back, i went back the next day, i went inside this room and they gave me this paper were i had to practice some lines and then read them out loud, i did and the girl asked me a few questions but she kept covering the paper and i would try to see if she was writing and what she was writing but she just wouldn't let me . She said she was going to go discuss with the other people if i was going to do my comp card t, she took some measurements and then she came back a few minutes later saying that they wanted me to do my comp card and all that stuff, she handed out this paper but she just would let me read it she kept talking about it and i just didn't have time to read it because my mom only speaks english so i had to translate, i kept wanting to read the paper but i didn't wa to be rude obiously so i just looked her in the eye, she told me we had to pay 495.00 and 39.00 monthly, my mom didn't care about the money because of course she wants my dream to come true but my mom doesn't believe in all this stuff from the beginning she knew it was a scam but we all know we want this so badly to be true we don't believe it's a scam . Anyways i said if i had to sign and come back another day with the money and the lady said that we couldn't leave because that day was the only day they were going to be making the photo shots but we all know that's not true, that's when i started questioning everything, i told her we didn't have any money at the moment that if she could just give me 3 hours to go home get the money and come back she totaly got pissed off and said that i couldn't that if i wanted to at least to leave some money like 100 dollars i said i didn't have that money because my mom didn't bring any money she got mad and she said she was going to go talk bout it with her boss to see if she can do anything bout it, she came back and told me to go home and get the money and come back, i got home and me and my mom decided not to pay because fortunaly for us her best friend works on this television company and he's going to talk to his friend and she knows a lot of people that can get me into acting so i just decided to go that way . The lady called me back and said that if i was going to pay i said i wasn't she got mad and said that i could apply again in six months or a year . Everyone out there ignore this company is a waste of time and money, hope this helps and im so sorry for the people that actually payed and got scam

I AGREE THAT OST IS A SCAMMMMMMM! NO BUSINESS CAN CHARGE A FEE FOR A SERVICE THEY HAVE NOT PROVIDED. THE PHOTO SHOOT FEE IS ONE SERVICE THEY GET YOU TO PAY FOR, THE MONTHLY WEBSITE FEE IS ANOTHER WAY SERVICE. BUT WE ACTUALLY WANT JOBS FROM THESE PICS AND WEBSITE EXPOSURE. JUST GO TO THE SAG WEBSITE AND LOOK UP A REPUTABLE AGENCY, IF YOUR GOOD THEY WILL WORK WITH YOU FOR FREE..

To the person that keeps on saying this company is great I would like to say a few words to you. First of all this is a bs company. Lawsuit will be taking place very very soon and I hope that you are there so I could sue you for everything you got. You think it's right to take 495.00 from people? You got another thing coming. I ask anyone that has been scammed with this stupid company send me an email with your info. Let's hit this company where it hurts.. The pockets...jetonetheleskid@yahoo.com. I emailed a photo of my son to the agency, and within a few hours they called back. I was really excited and flattered at the quick response. I must admit that whomever they got to do their website did a really good job at making it beleivable and making you think that they really are the real deal. Adding the link for all of there current "castings" was brillant, because that is really what sold me on them being creditable. My first tip that they were jive really was the email confirmation that I received regarding my sons appt. It had all kinds of grammatical errors in it! Anyway I decided to still take him, even bought him a new outfit to wear. When we got arrived at the office there were about 30 or so other people waiting to go be seen too. Since we were early I decided to wait in the car. While we were waiting I had the brilliant idea to look them up online for reviews (wish I had thought of that before I left the house!). My stomach absoultely dropped when I began reading the horrible reviews for the company, but I decided to check them out anyway since we drove all that way and my son was so excited. They took us in and had us all in a waiting area filling out paperwork and watching a movie. About 15 minutes in the director comes in, Sanabel was her name. Sanabel was a petite 20ish woman who spoke fast and was on the nasty side. Honestly if I hadn't read the reviews she would have turned me off anyway with the rude, [censored]y and rather demeaning manner that she spoke to us in. She mentioned very, very quickly about the $498 fee for photos and the $40 a month maintenace fee. She also mentione towards the end how she knows we value our time and how she values hers even more, so for us to please not waste it! I thought to myself that if they really valued folks time they should mention their fees on the website, because I assure you that half the folks who turn up to these things would not! After her spill I pretty much knew I wasn't going to go through with it, but did not want to disappoint my son by abruptly walking out. I went through with the interview and the girl who interviewed my son was overly perky and full of crap. What's funny is Sanabel mentioned something about everyone not getting invited back for a second interview, namely if they didn't stand out and display "star potential". Well, as much as I love my kid, he froze up and went into straight turtle-shy kid mode. Even as his mom I can admit that nothing about him stood out at all in that interview. But guess what! After a 30 second interview the perky girl claims she saw a star in him...umm, what she saw was dollar signs. She scheduled for him to come back the next day for another meeting aka 'the shake down", but guess what? That's the last they ever heard or saw from me! Soooooo glad I didn't get taken for a ride by these folks! The only thing I lost was time and a few bucks on gas. Please don't waste your time with this place!

I just "signed' with them yesterday. I wish I had read these reviews before paying the $500. I'm hoping that I can book some work so that it's not a complete waste of time and money. I guess I figured if I booked two or three promo model events it would be worth it. I have a third interview in 2 weeks and I will be printing this forum out to show them. I'm just going to try and make the best of it I guess. :(

I was praying like you and not realizing I was being scammed. "the devil wears prada was playing everything like you explained it. I told them I didin't have $495.00 told me the same thing about applting for a year. i told to someone legal companies and they told me if a company if interested in you. You never have to spend any money they will invest in you. What a scam and people are crazy they fall for it. No thank you when it's my time to shine God will make a way.

OST has 8 offices and showing 3 more to open up. With the amount of applicants they must get on a daily basis seeking to be models and/or actors, I would say having one or two people go through applications and call would be extremely difficult to do. One can only assume that a company this big (like any other company that has a lot of customers and a need to grow to meet the customers need), they would need more than one person to them out. And to all who keep calling OST an agency, please do your research well. One Source Talent has never claimed to be an agency nor do they state they are an agency.

Go to their site and check them out in detail. They have been doing this since 2003 and have done a great deal for many people! They help provide you with opportunities (and no they do NOT book you the opportunity because it is ultimately up to the casting director/agency if they want to work with you or not). OST is a company that helps you get your foot through the door and get started. Does this mean that each and every person that signs up is guaranteed to become some superstar that gets opportunities left and right each and every month? That's like saying if you create a resume and place it on Careerbuilder. com or Monster. com then you are guaranteed to get a call from an employer looking to hire you. It doesn't work that way. It is going to take a lot of time. Research people who have made it to the industry and how long/what it took for them to get to where they are today. It did not happen overnight and the main thing they worked on is getting exposure and lots of different opportunities to get to the right one!

One Source Talent is a shady business. i currently work for them. Lets go over the process on how we 'select' people to come in our office.
"Hello may I please speak to (so and so)? His this is Alexia calling with OneSource Talent how are you? The reason I am calling today is my office director recently reviewed your application you submitted us and saw you were interested in modeling. After checking out your application my office director feels that it would be nice to have you come in for an interview." Now how do we get to this process?

1st. Our 'Office Director' never sees your application at all. Your application is submitted online and a separate office called our 'New Faces' AKA Call Center. Calls you. There is a 'script' that we read to you to get you to come into our office. Once you setup an appointment then our office director sees your application. So right off the bat we are lying to you.

2nd. We also have a specific way to get people in who say we are a 'scam' or a fraud or are fake ;-)

3rd. Once you come in you sit in a conference room and our office director goes over a presentation about our company, about the industry, ect. There will be a movie on usually 'The Devil Wears Prada' or some other movie that is about modeling, acting, or something along the lines of that.

4th. You then get to talk to our office director one on one and answer any questions. Once you come in my office director immediately decides if we want you or not. If not you are asked to leave and we will give you a call back if we are interested (you walk out a separate door). If you are asked to stay we want you to come back for a second interview. Meaning you are pretty enough for us to want and that we want you for your money and to come back in.

You may have herd this. "We are certified by the Better Business Bureau." Are we? NO NOT AT ALL. In fact our company got a C+ rating from them and at the top of the page clearly says "This Business is not BBB Accredited." We have a total of 47 complaints!

Now have people had success with us? Of course and I'm glad to see all the success stories on this page. Would I 'trust' us? Not at all. The HQ building where I work is shady. The top officials are shady, the people I work with a lot are shady.

How do I get paid? I get paid by 1st getting you to schedule an appointment. But, that is only half of the story. I only get a 'bonus' if you book an appointment AND come in. if you do not I do not get my bonus and just get my hourly salary (minimum wadge). Our call 'quota' is anywhere from 200 to 250 people per 8 hour shift. And our 'goal' is to have about 24% of those people scheduled to come in and out of that AT LEAST 8% or higher to show up.

What we do to your 'online application? Well if you answer great! We try and 'Schedule Open Call' to book you an appointment. If not we make you as a 'No Answer' and then call you the next day. If you do not answer within 5 calls we mark you as a 'Stale Lead'. If you submit multiple applications we mark them except one as 'Duplicate Application'. If you have a phone number that is not working or no longer in service or because you got jipped by us we put 'Wrong Number We Will Call Back" and call you in a month after you get some money to pay your phone bill.

So are you guys a scam? I can't exactly say we are a 'scam'. Just a very shady business. I remember a couple friends in junior high say they got ripped off a lot of money by them and either found no work or were not casted for anything or were treated badly. If you are interested I would go to the interview and ask questions like 'Why did 'Michael' call me one day and then 'Janelle' call me the next and then 'Ashley' finally schedule my appointment?' and 'Why are you guys on the BBB website listed as NOT CERTIFIED?' Good luck to all and just be careful.

One Source Talent Fraud and cheating

As far as I'm concerned. Of what I have seen. I work at the office and we get calls from major features. We work with a variety of people and we have gotten people amazing work. Your just getting started? Try going out yourself looking for jobs as i have, its hard and you think you don't have to invest in yourself? Thats a complete joke. THINK about it. This is a business, like any other business are you going to have to invest? Of course especially on yourself. I have dealt with nothing but professionalism and as far as I'm concerned i think its funny what people expect. I know because I'm on both sides, i too am an aspiring actress. and as far as I'm concerned a business is a business and even if you are some gorgeous thing and fit model requirements, you think its FREE?!?! That is the funniest thing I've ever heard in my life.

One Source Talent Agency invited me for an interview. They told that they have chosen me out of 50 people. I was so proud about that. After two days they called and offered me a job. But as a rule I used to go for the training courses for a month. It will cost me $300. Please tell me it is not a scam!

I went today to one source talent in L.A. all the blogs that I have read here is spot on they had me go in to a room with at least 20 or 30 other people where this rude gay guy dressed in all black told some poor lady with a young kid who was probable the one there as the potential talent was told where the door was just because the kid was talking to his mom well after that and the rest of his self glorifying speech the 30 or so people and myself were called back one after another for some questions on height and shoe size no measurements were taken like they said they were going to in the e-mail they sent for the "appointment" even though at one point the gay guy had a measuring tape draped around his neck I finely got my turn for my "interview" and was seen buy a stuck up girl that right away wanted to know if I would be able to have my pictures taken by there photographer I told her I have my headshots with me she asked to see them I was told that they weren't good enough even though I had them done by a professional photographer that specializes in commercial headshots at a price much cheaper than the $800.00 they were talking about but I guess its like the girl said to me "how serious I are you about this" hahaha this company or what ever you want to call it and the people that work for it are jokes I just wish I would have read all the stories here before I wasted my time and gas

Ok one source talent called me couple weeks ago took them 2 years to get me.i was to sick to see them they told me to call them when i am feeling better. So i did call them back when i was feeling batter. So they wanted to see me sat 5, 2011. So me, bf and granny drove there took 3 hours to get there. I was so happy that i can do my dream job being a model. So we got there and was 40mins before i was to be there and they ask me to go walk around or something like that because i could not be in the waiting room. *** up right? So went back up a lot of people where their not all that nice looking have to say i was the only good looking on at my age. They took a head shot of me and i had to go back and site down with other people. A lady came out to talk to us and she was in her 20s nice looking and all. Told shores about there talents that got big. So after that i had to wait for them to call me to the back to talk to the lady and see if i have what it takes to me a model. She ask me Q and stuff then she ask me if i couple pay $500 for my comp cards and im like yes i can pay that. Then she told me that she likes my hair and stuff and wanted me to come back today. But something did not feel right about this the $500 and the $40 a month to stay on there web site. I was thinking about it all day Sunday. so i went back to there site and look things over one thing i see that is that they have a BBB (Better Business Bureau) thing on there site so i look them up on BBB and seen that they have a C+ and that is not that good at all most of it was about money so i wanted to no more about one source talent so i did a search on line about them read a lot of stuff for over a hour and found that they cost you more than just $500 need to pay for your pics and makeup and hair to get done. That cost around $2000. They don't really get you jobs like they say they do. I don't have $2500 to give them upfront at all. That is a lot of money if you don't have it and them to tell you they can get you work. I read that they are a scam and in new york there is a lot going with them. So i told my self is it really worth it to lose that much money and not get a job like they said no its not. So im not doing it i feel better but sad to because they had to be a scam to take people money and crush there dreams. I was to see them today for my pics to get done. I hope i did the right thing. I read that a real modeling place douse not make you pay money upfront they take 10% or 20% of what you make.

OMG my daughter just filled out the form to go through with OST. Well they called back right away. The lady Rhodonna I was speaking to tried to tell me that we were gonna have to pay for head composites and the money to promote her to people. Well I have been dealing with the acting and modeling for years with my twin boys who are now 5. I know all the stories and scams there are, I told Rhodonna I will not be paying for anything at all. If you want any money to pay for anything you take it out of the commision from when she gets paid for a job. Well she did not like what i had told them. The location that i had spoken to was in Atlanta, Georgia. DO NOT DO NOT GO TO OST AT ALL! THEY ARE BIG SCAMMERS
My twins have been in a Lowes Home Improvement Commercial when they were 7 months old and have done an episode of Law and Order Criminal Intent, not once did I have to put any money out for any promoting or head composites for them. The agent took the money out of the money they had made. That is a legit company you want to deal with not a company that wants to get money upfront for things.

i'm completely disagreeing with the negative reviews above about one source talent. i have friends that are with that company and they love it! First they are not an agency and they even tell you they are not. what they do is they work with clients (castings directors, agencies) and these clients go to them with what they are looking for (model or actor? height, weight, look, maybe certain skills, etc etc) and then then one source uses their database of models/actors to see who fits those criteria and then they submit the ones that meet the criteria. if the director or agency likes the model/actor's look then thats when one source talent tells you that you are being requested for an audition or what not. and then they also have regular castings that put for you to see everyday and you can apply for them yourself.

they don't guarantee you a job or that you will book anything because they cant! no one can do that other than a casting director himself. its like going to careerbuilder.com you can post your resume on there to increase your exposure and increase your chances of getting a job interview. But they cannot guarantee that you WILL get a job interview. and on top of that just because you got the interview does not meant that you GOT the job or nor is careerbuilder.com responsible as to whether or not you get the job. Its how you present yourself and your attitude that matters and in the end its on you as to whether or not you got the position!

I'm disagreeing with the reviews above only because it seems like one person went there, didnt like it and posted it on the site and then everyone else just started to agree and post negative reviews when they haven't actually tried the service themselves to be able to fairly judge the company. I'm not saying you should agree with me... I'm saying you should at least do more research yourself and perhaps even check them out yourself before posting a review.

How can a company be a scam if its been in business since 2003 and its part of the top 5000 inc. companies? They have a lot of different office they aren't taking money from you and then disappearing. check it out for yourself go here http://www.inc.com/inc5000/profile/one-source-talent

and go here http://www.newswiretoday.com/news/40156/ it clearly says they create a cost-effective relationship between clients and talents.

like i said i know others who are with that company and they like it... and they actually are using the service! go to their website, check out their blogs or what others said on there...and then go check out the company for yourself and make a decision. dont let someone else make a decision for you!

you really should do some more research on the company because so much of what i read isn't even true! I have friends that are with that company and they love it and i'm thinking about having one of my relatives go there too. they explain it to you when you are there as to what they do and how the work and they even show you how to use everything on their site. One source is NOT an agency. what they do is they work with a lot of different clients (agencies and castings directors) and these clients go to one source talent and let them know what exactly they are looking for (looks, height, weight, skills, etc etc). one source then uses its database that has all the info about their models/actors and see who meet that criteria then submit you out if you meet it. if that casting director or agency likes your pictures/info then they can request you and thats when one source will contact you with the opportunity.

they dont guarantee you will book anything because they cant! they cant tell a director who to pick. its like going to career builder.com They will increase your exposure and that can lead to more job interviews... but that does not mean you WILL get the job nor can careerBuilder.com guarantee you will get a job through them!

do more research on the company and you'll see they have been in business since 2003 and they are part of the Top 500o incorporated companies. go here if you dont believe http://www.inc.com/inc5000/profile/one-source-talent and see for yourself. would they be in business for so long if they weren't legit and if they weren't doing something for both their clients and their models/actors?

go here http://www.newswiretoday.com/news/40156/ it tells you they create a cost-effective relationship between their clients and talents (talent meaning models/actors)

im completely disagreeing with the reviews from others because its seems like one person went there, didn't like it, wrote a bad review and then everyone else just re-posted that same review and agreed to it without checking anything out themselves. I would rather come to a decision myself than see what one person says then agree with them. I'm not saying you should agree with me... i'm just saying at least do more research. Like i said, i have friends that are with that company and I haven't heard anything negative from them. seems like all the negative reviews have come from those who didnt try out the service at all.

I have been going through everything that it seems like all of htese other people have gone through. I have a daughter who is 10 years old ad we are suppose to go for our "third meeting" tomorrow. I had a family member call me and tell me that I might wat to check out this sight before I give them any money, as I have laready paid the $39.95 monthly fee. I certainly hope they don't think they are going to automatically deduct that money from my checking account! Oh there will be trouble! I am very nervous now and I amcancelling my appointment! i can not afford to lose a pennie to a scam like this, especially with the economy the way it is. They alo expect me to drive up to Oakbrooke every other day..that's an hour and a half for me and I don;t have time for that! I would never expectanything like this to be free, but come on?...$395 for a photo shoot to start out? And that's the smallest package! I don't have that kind of money to gamble with!
