I regret the day I let the salesman from Omega talk me into using their 4th rate company for windshield replacement, now wishing I had read these and other reviews first. I now know that they lie to get your business and to make you fade away if you complain, that way they can go on to the next hapless victim. They worked on my truck twice and it got worse not better. They also don't return calls or keep their appointments. These weasels give American auto service a bad name. They sent a man with 35 years experience to replace my glass and this is what I got. Over 31 scratches and chips in my paint job and the worst fitting reveal trim ever installed I'm sure. This guy put a 6 inch scratch in my fender with his belt buckle as he was removing the plastic cowl cover and wipers. He was not wearing his apron at the time. I complained to the salesman because he had said Omega was the best and they had an A+ BBB rating. He said someone would come by the next day and inspect the truck and all would be made right. Wrong! No one ever showed up then or a few days later. He then would not return my calls, no backbone I guess. I had to file a BBB complaint to get a reaction from someone I will call Omega Man, he shows up and agrees all is not good and it will be fixed right. They actually sent the same Tool out to redo the glass and trim and he was brandishing attitude like a weapon. This is what I received: Another quarter inch chip in my paint, better fitting reveal trim if you stand head on 20 feet away. The trailing edge of the trim has an 1/8 inch gap against the roof sheet metal and from the side it is quite ill fitting and wavy. Now when it rains water and dirt collect in that gap. I realized later on I had no antenna and there was tacky black adhesive smeared on my doors, cowl, hood and even the interior (under the black goo on the drivers door was the quarter inch chip). I called and actually talked to Omega Man about the tacky black adhesive oozing out from below the windshield and he said it was moisture activated and would dry when the weather became more humid. It got humid, rained on and washed but never dried. Still tacky. After discovering the chip and missing antenna I tried calling Omega Man again and guess what, Yep no call back. I have since had an estimate to fix my truck by a local Dealer and it will only cost $1114.00 just to fix the paint (antenna and reveal trim extra). Omega Man did send a company out to fix the paint, I don't want to leave this out. These guys showed up 5 days late (they did keep in touch each day though) and when they got here they had nothing to fix my truck. They said they were interior specialists and if I brought it to their shop they would rattle can touch up all the scratches on my truck. I declined the generous offer of such a low budget quick fix. Omega Man led me to believe these guys were paint specialists. I have checked with other glass companies regarding the tacky adhesive and Omega Mans explanation, all (3) agree moisture activated windshield adhesive is nonsense and beware it was not the right adhesive to use. I could lose the glass on a hard bump, panic stop or impact. Now it seems my life and passengers are in jeopardy..will it ever end.
