Olive Garden big plastic piece in a soup

Hi, Me and my wife love olive garden restaurants. But after today probably it was our last visit there. Everything start from we was waiting 15 minutes to our server, servers keep ignoring us and not offer us at least drinks. We called manager and she find somebody. Ok we ordered soups and i find big plastic piece in my mouth. Im almost ate it! We left restaruant bc i was feeling about throw up and not hungry anymore... We show that peace our server and she is like i'll bring you another one are you serious? Please check what's going on there bc it's obviously worst restaurant experience in my life. Olive garden sacramento ca 5445 Sunrise Blvd, Citrus Heights, CA 95610, date nov 22, time around 8pm.

Olive Garden poor lunch

I had lunch there with a friend today. the salad was drowned in dressing and the lettuce was not fresh..we returned it...my spaghetti and meatballs took forever to come, and when it arrived, it was cold and dry...I did not want to bother the waiter again, as he was the most pleasant guy..He did everything we asked...my friends got the chicken cacciatore that was burnt. She had two bites and we asked for the check . I was also irritated when I got my bill that there was a $2.99 charge for using the kiosk to play a game...We had no idea it cost anything... I tipped the waiter 25% because it was not his fault...but our lunch was 37.00. I personally think that a refund should be issued, or a complimentary dinner for two...I have not been for a while and I cant tell you how disappointed we were. Jan Vrotsos

Olive Garden 2 hour wait on food

We have been dining in Poughkeepsie Olive Garden few times now, and three times we have had a bad experience with the kitchen. We kept giving another try, but tonight was our last visit since it was few times we have had experienced an hour in a half delay in our food, and still after that time the food was not ready. Coming over with kids you want to come to a restaurant and get food as soon as possible to feed kids and not wait for almost two hours for food, and after managers come and apologize and still no food. Terrible place, never go back there again.

Olive Garden the entire experience

Yesterday on October 10, 2015, my husband and I were going for a pleasant dining experience. But in the words of comedian Jay Leno, do not use fine dining experience in the same sentence with Olive Garden and we will never return. First the waitress Jenn W was the most rude waitress I have ever encountered. Just because she hates her job, why should paying customers have to suffer? She walked up to us and did not welcome us. and then she just said, "Take your order?" We told her what drinks we wanted. She returned and I asked for a separate salad. I told her all I wanted was a salad with lettuce, tomatoes, and croutons. My husband asked for a regular salad. She brought back one salad with dressing and the rest of the ingredients in a separate bowl. I said never mind. My husband said no I understood you wanted a separate salad, why couldn't she understand. So she did go back and brought my salad. My husband ordered a shrimp appetizer and the soup & salad. It took 20 minutes for her to bring the soup. She never stopped to ask if he needed another soup. He never got the shrimp. After 45 minutes she brought my pizza with chicken. She explained the kitchen was backed up. After getting the pizza, we never saw her again, until I asked another waiter to bring the check. If this is how you run your establishments, it is not unusual you are losing business. Olive Garden will probably never see this letter, but at least I feel better. Thanks for listening. Mary &Greg Rodriguez P.S. My husband threw up last night and we suspect food poisoning on top of a horrible experience.

Olive Garden buy one, take one

My wife and I regularly dine at the Olive Garden's two locations. One in Montgomery, AL, the other in nearby Prattville, AL. Two weeks ago, we took advantage of your Buy One, Take One, as we had done at least a dozen times before. On every occasion, I would order the spaghetti entrée and would add meatballs and or sausage for additional charge. My wife would order Fettucini with chicken, at additional cost. Upon receiving our Take One option, we would get the same meal, to include the meat options. Two weeks ago, at the Montgomery, AL location, we ordered the same. Only this time, they charged me for the additional meats in both entrees on our Take One option. I complained about this, stating that I had upgraded our orders before and received the Take One Option at no additional cost. The female night manager said that they had to charge me for the extra "protein." I told her that we had taken advantage of this offer many times at both locations. The difference was about $6.00. Essentially, she said everyone else was in error when they gave me the upgraded order to go. I think she was wrong. In any effect, I paid the difference, but I would like to know the actual policy on this. If you purchase this deal with an upgrade, do you get an upgraded order to take with you? If you do, the Montgomery location needs some coaching.

Olive Garden dish of chicken alfredo had black hair in it

I had dinner with my husband and adult daughter tonight.I didn't want very much of my did because as the norm for me, I ate too much salad and bread. I had ordered Alfredo dip. But I knew I would eat my food later and asked for a to-go box. There was a really gross black hair in my food! Looked like it came from a beard. I really really HOPE it came from a beard! Manager was accommodating, took my food off our bill, and offered to make me more to take home. But hours later I'm still grossed out, and getting hungry.I let my daughter take the replacement food home. After a 2005 stomach surgery, my stomach is weak.No way could I trust another batch of chicken Alfredo tonight.Hated it cause I love Olive Garden! What could they have done differently? Offered me something else...anything. Something I wouldn't I wouldn't associate with that same bristly black hair! Nasty...

Olive Garden just awful

I Dined at the bar at the Hyannis, Ma location yesterday. The dishes were dirty. The silverware was dirty. The wine glass had an odor. The salad was wilted. The soup was OK, but I was already weary of the state of the other serving ware. The staff was incredibly unprofessional and the carping between them was not amusing. The bartender was actually massaging another much younger staff member in the bar area directly in front of me. The whole experience left me queasy. Is this really what your establishment has become? Very disappointing!

Olive Garden horrible service

The Olive Garden at the shops of Allen was once a go-to. I just WALKED after yet another evening of OBNOXIOUS service, this time at the hands of business-card-to-the-far-right manager Angelina Diaz.

Our last meal was comped after a reportedly newbie server "Meghan" took clueless to a new level. The restaurant was EMPTY and we couldn't beg this girl to leave her chat-post by the kitchen to beg for food. We were at Olive Garden an hour before we received our melted cheese and toast. I'm no chef, but I can melt cheese and make bread turn brown. The GM, Ron Burke, came to our table to accept responsibility for the nightmare of an evening and graciously take the blame for their inability to produce toast: "We put it through three times, it wasn't just right." At any rate, the evening was horrific enough for them to comp the check. I would have gladly paid double for a pleasant evening.

Tonight, we made it PERFECTLY CLEAR to the front that we did NOT want Meghan. They seated us and one of our regulars...a charming waiter...came to our table to take our order. Meghan was in her usual position, chatting it up with another (usual) waitress.

Did I mention we are SERIOUS regulars?

So, after we ordered tonight, MEGHAN came over to tell us that she knew we'd already given our order, but she'd be taking care of us. We asked for a manager.

Enter (eventually) Agelina Diaz, smug, loaded with attitude and (in all seriousness) wearing pants tight enough to verify her underwear brand. Advising me this was the first time she'd met me...we've eaten there every other night on particularly busy weeks...she went on to be such an condescending *** that we chose to go to the front, request our check and leave.

Not satisfied to leave completely destroyed alone, she followed me to the front and said, "All fed up then?"

"There's a reason I didn't ask for you, " I replied, then reitterated my request for the check from the innocent employee manning the front.

"Okay, well that's FINE with me..." she started, flipping her hair back with hrand drama.

"I didn't ask you, " I replied.

Suffice to say...I'm done. When I get finished sharing this story, I'll drive across town to Kenny's, where they DO know my name and treat me with the respect any customer should deserve.

Plus...they hire competent servers and the food rocks.

Olive Garden has always been my favorite restaurant. I have visited locations throughout the entire United States and it has always had impeccable service until I visited the location at 10800 West Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89135. I have gone 3 times to this location and every time has been horrible. I haven’t complained until now because I was giving the benefit of the doubt.
Yesterday Sunday August 16, 2015 we went at around 1:30pm for lunch. The server was too giddy and spacey right from the get go. She didn’t offer a wine sample. We gave her our drink order (6 of us- My brother, my best friend, husband, their 2 kids and I). She came back 10 minutes later with only half of our drinks. We asked for the other drinks and she said she’d come back. Another 10 minutes later she came back to take our order WITHOUT THE OTHER DRINKS! We again reminded her of this and she said she’d take our order and come back with the drinks. We placed our order and I asked for extra tomatoes and onions on the salad. 15 mins later she comes back with the salad and cold breadsticks AND NO DRINKS AND NO EXTRA ONIONS AND TOMATOES. At this point I got really aggravated. 35 minutes into the meal and half our table have no drinks! Totally unacceptable! I looked around and it was not busy at all. Even if it was busy (which Olive Garden usually is) there is no excuse for this kind of service or lack thereof. I figured ok maybe she’s new, but, she said she’d been there 4 years. At this point I’m thinking “ok where’s she disappearing to?” We waited another 10 mins and she finally came back with the other drinks and no onions and tomatoes! At this point those of us with drinks were empty, as well. So I asked (shouldn’t have to ask) for a refill on my drink (I was drinking bellini tea) She comes back a few minutes later with a coke for me and olives and tomatoes! I ordered belini tea and ONIONS and tomatoes. How many times do you have to repeat yourself until you get what you asked for and are paying for? I finally grabbed another waiter and explained what was going on. We waited several minutes again and no one came back. I finally went to the front door host and was very angry.
Finally the manager came over and we got drinks in about 5 minutes and opur onions and tomatoes. We are now an hour into the meal the salad is warm because it sat there waiting for tomatoes and onions. I have not been offered a wine sample. I’m hungry, cranky, mad, aggravated, and impatient. I finally ask the manager for another waitress. Why didn’t he offer to bring us a better waitress? Why didn’t he offer us anything in return for the unacceptable service we’d had up until that point?
The waitress he sent us as a replacement was fantastic! But, by then I was too angry and upset to even enjoy my meal. I ended up getting most of it to go.
The 2 times before were very similar to this. On Mother’s Day again we weren’t asked to have a wine sample. I love wine and had planned on buying a glass or 2. When I asked the server for a sample he said, “I don’t have time. You should have asked for it at the beginning.” Excuse me! You don’t have time? And since when do I have to ask for it?
I am very disappointed in the service and the experience. I don’t think Olive Garden is my favorite anymore and I think I’ll start going to Applebee’s and Chili’s more often.
Very disappointed and angry,
Brandy Schmitz

Olive Garden live spider in my mouth

2 adults and 3 children, 05/12/15 sat down at table and waitress immediately offered sample of roscato wine, she poured small amount in glasses already on table. I took my sip and felt something going around my inner lips, I could not swallow and was obviously distressed holding wine in mouth I took out what was in my mouth other than wine and put in in front of me on top of the menu and it was a live spider that was in my mouth! I freaked out but was very very calm, I do not like to make a scene. She said she would notify the manager. We ordered and the manager said she would give us an appetizer, we declined we didnt want one. I could hardly eat anything and most of it I had to spit out because I was freaked out and still am. Have been vomiting over and over and it has been 24 hours, cant eat anything because every time I even think about food or eating I think of how that spider felt in my mouth and get sick all over, no appetite it is horrible.. I am furious. The manager then shows up after we had started to eat our food and said wow you got your food fast I brought this appetizer plate and had a huge plate of fried mozarella and chicken strips things. We refused and then she had the nerve to like show it to the kids and say do you want these. Now I am really mad, you do not go above a parents wishes and ask the kids so you can "cover" a live spider in someones mouth! I was a vegetarian years ago and it takes alot for me to eat meat, and I get a live spider in my mouth. I havent been a strick vegetarian in years, but eat more like one that like a meat eater. Then she did take off my entree, but we paid $8 x2 for wine! And everything else. I am furious and am not satisfied with my outcome at all and I am not thru with this! [protected]@yahoo.com ck#59180

The waitress was horrible at serving us. Not even a smile and we would ask for something and she immediately roll her eyes. I asked her for a take out box and she ignored me and went to attend another table my family at seeing this left very pleased with our food and dissatisfied with our server.

How dare you refuse to let American flag at a meeting held in one of your restaurants. I come from Italian immigrants and they must be rolling over in their grave. Shame on you

If Olive Garden doesn't tell Americans they can have flag at mtgs. in Olive Garden, people need to boycott them!

Today, I was ready to enjoy the Sicilian Scampi and the fist bite was horrible greasy garlic salt . No sauteed tomatoes, no olives and the shrimp with no flavor. What kind of chefs they have there! The food was lousy!

The worst service ever. I had to wait ten minutes to get my order taken and then she forgot my beer. The food was cold and we saw her texting over by the bar while we waited for refills on soda. The management sucks here and do not have Jen wait on you unless you are a glutton for punishment.

Yeah, you'd think that getting an entire meal for $9.99 made by a $10/hr 'chef' is guaranteed to be fantastic. Weird.

Olive Garden cleanliness

Olive Garden in Decatur needs to get a good cleaning!
Bathrooms are always dirty and the rags they use for wiping the tables always smell. The whole restaurant smells musty and dirty all the time.
Carpets, windows, tables and plants, everything smells!

Olive Garden sick after eating lunch

My wife and I went for lunch of March 20th 2015 with about 12 other friends, only we two had the Eggplant Parmesan and only tow of us got sick. For next three days I was sick and sat on toilet continuously. Saturday morning I called and complained to restaurant and I got lip service of how they are perfect. I told them I had not eaten any thing. They on Monday 3/23/15 their Insurance company, Liberty Ins called and said the same thing. They said only way we can do any thing is for you to prove what was the bacteria in food other wise tough luck. What a great way to say screw you. Later I thought why did the restaurant mgr and the Operations Mgr who had called me told me that, I could have saved my watery stool sample for them to detect the bacteria. We eat regularly at a diff Olive Garden (Holcomb Bridge Roswell GA) never had this problem. Olive Garden lost our family and all our friends for customers.

Thank you for raising awareness.Sorry to hear of your bad experience. There are many employees who don't wash their hands after using the restroom even though the policy is enforced in most establishments. It could be that the food was undercooked or spoiled or simply poor food handling.

Olive Garden food order

My husband and i went for lunch on Saturday Nov 29th . He ordered ravioli with meat sauce and sausage on the side. the menu priced the sausage side at 1.99 and the ravioli had little sauce on it very dry my husband asked for more sauce and by the time he recieved it the meal was cold so he asked for a box to take it home. when the bill came we were charged 1.49 for 2 pieces of sausage instead of the 1.99 that was on the menu. We were very disapointed in the entire meal I don"t think we will be back there again.this was the second time we had a bad time.

Olive Garden no covers on cup when leaving restaurant

A frien and myself went to OLive Garden on Sept. 17, 2014 for lunch and the service and food was great. The friend asked for a to go Coke and the waitress said yes. When she returned with the drink she stated they had no covers. my friend took the drink anyway. I think they should had offered her another cup. My friend could had spilled the drink in her car. I cannot such a large restaurant woul run out of covers in the middle of lunch. Just does not seem a large place should run out of supplies.

Olive Garden 100 never ending pasta bowl

I purchased one of the Never Ending Pasta Bowl cards yesterday after battling to get through to the website, there is a little button everyone had to click to be able to purchase that says Terms and Conditions, well I checked it for fear that I would not get a card and did not read it. After purchasing I checked to make sure that I could give it to my son even though I had purchased the card. Imagine my surprise when I read that the card is only good for 100.00 when purchasing the never ending pasta bowl and that the price of the meal will be deducted from the card until the balance is zero. I have already send an email to Olive Garden but have not received a reply. No where in the email I received or mentioned on the plug yesterday on Good Morning America is there any mention of terms and conditions. Please check for yourself. This is a very deceptive marketing scheme. If they think they can get away with this I'm thinking Class Action Lawsuit.

Olive Garden bait and switch

Had a great dinner at Olive Garden #1085 in Reno last night. Our waiter asked us to please complete the online survey referenced on our receipts. It said they wanted to know about our dining experience. When I tried to complete the survey, all it was, was page after page of marketing for various products.

I do not like being lied to, or played for a fool. There was not one single question about my dining experience. I think Olive Garden and myself shall go our separate way, and I will dine elsewhere in the future.

Olive Garden profanity

During our meal last night we had great service normally we have such horrible unorganized and or rude employees taking care of us. So when everything went so smoothly my husband and I were impressed, until closer to the end of our meal we hear a male voice (f*** [censored]) from the kitchen! No matter how others acted so disrespectful the two woman working in the area we had been set did an amazing job. I put myself through college as a waitress so I completely understand how things in a restaurant can become frustrating but the young man should not have done that. I know that we were sitting in the back right side of the facility and we could here things going on in the kitchen but there's not excuse for that kind of behavior!

This same thing happened to my family at the restaurant in Morrow Ga. but it was a manager that was using vulgar language. She was so loud we could hear her at the table from the kitchen. I understand stress but that is simply ridiculous. It should not happen being that Olive Garden is a family oriented restaurant. We also notice some bugs that were crawling on the floor. But I was told that they have a company that comes out to exterminate.

Olive Garden do not dine if there if you have small children

Please do not dine here if you have small children. You get treated like second class citizens. My family decided to enjoy our evening at a so called family restaurant. "When you're here...you're family" or something like that, right. My family, five of us - 10 year old, 7 year old and 1 year old were treated extremely rudely by our server who seemed aggravated with us to begin with and wanted us to move our one year old out of the way for her convenience and was questioning our choice of what we ordered for our kids. Very rude. My one year old was being fussy that day, but my husband and I were handling it. Apparently, this bothered 3 old ladies four tables away and they tsked at me when I was leaving and called me some names. Upon confronting them and letting them know that this was a family restaurant and we had the right to dine there just as much as they did, the manager came along and sided with them and was shooing me out of the restaurant. FAMILY RESTAURANT. That's certainly not how I treat my family at all. I will definitely NEVER consider going to Olive Garden in Altamonte Springs with my family, co-workers, friends, or company meetings! Beware to all family with kids and definitely go somewhere else! They only cater to the older customers with no children.

Olive Garden deathly cold and slow service

The Olive Garden "We treat you like family!" ...Of course in my visit this evening to the olive garden in Malbus Alabama...that family is a bunch of drunk rednecks. We had the worst service ever...over an hour to get our food, while they kept trying to jam bread sticks down our throats. And the place was half empty due to a massive storm outside. The food was good...good and cold and our waitress looked and acted like she was on crack!. Add to all this, a table near us was occupied by a group of a fat black middle aged women who felt it was OK for their one and two years old children to scream at the top of their lungs over and over all night, while they ran around the place unsupervised. Yes, and a fun time was had by all. NOT! Never again will I head to this Italian hell!

Olive Garden illness after eating

My wife and I had the mussels for an appetizer Monday 05/27/2013 around 5PM CST. After eating about half the order we noticed 3 or 4 shells that hadn't opened and dark spots around the edges of the meat of some that had opened. About an hour afterwards my wife vomited an seemed OK afterwards. About 3 hours later I got violently ill throwing up with watery stools until finally falling asleep waking twice during he night with more stools which were only liquid. The only other thing we ate in common was a crispy parmesan shrimp dish with five cheese sauce in which I ate three or four of the shrimp and shared one with my wife. We have visited this establishment many times and have always received great service and no issues with the food or subsequent illness. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing recently and think the restaurant should be aware. Thank you.

Food poisoning can produce symptoms as quickly as one hour after eating the tainted food. This form usually starts with vomiting but diarrhea can ensue in as little as a couple hours. Can't say for sure, but those mussels sound like they were bad.
