I used OkCupid for a long time. I can't say that I was 100% satisfied, OkCupid definitely is not the best dating website. I was a long time user and used to it, that's why stayed on OkCupid.
Three weeks ago they banned and closed my account. I have no idea why and they do not reply to my messages and phone calls. I tried to make a new one but it seems that their site remembers users IP and it doesn't allow you to register twice from one and the same IP. I want to get my account back!

Decided to try OkCupid and there was something wrong about this website. I was chatting with three girls and their behavior and questions and texts, everything was strange. I felt like I was talking to a robot. Then I made a little research and found out that there are many fake profiles on OkCupid. And these guys steal photos from Facebook to create more fakes! This is absolutely illegal and sites like this one should be investigated and shut down!

This dating website was great for love but ended up just being a bunch of people who just want sex. I signed up a long time ago and really enjoyed spending time on this site. No one really wants to make a connection or do the work or relating. It's just people who want to make a small effort to get women into bed. I deleted my account already because I was really disappointed. I don't recommend this site, because it's really not for love or some sort of relationships. I'm very upset that this happened to Okcupid.

This website is pretty creepy. When you join OkCupid you have to answer some questions and questions are quite strange. There are several questions about bullying at school and victims of abusive relationships. I wanted to skip that part, but could not do that. I don't know the reason, maybe there was some kind of bug. When I finally completed my profile I received about 30 messages from different people. I was only interested in locals, but messages I received were from people from all over the world. Many were clearly not who they said they were, and all wanted to know my private email addresses, some asked my real address! It was easy enough to unsubscribe.

I had a profile on OkCupid website but only later I realized how horrible and disgusting this site was. I received very abusive emails from some lady. That was an old lady, about 70 years old, looking for young partner. How disgusting is that! I told her that I'm not interested in grannies. I just pointed out how wrong she was about me and should search for someone her age. I got my account deleted by the site. I received a message from OkCupid support stating that I was reported and blocked. But now I'm actually glad that my account was deleted, because this site is just a waste of time.

I was a member for about 3 years. I have some problems with OkCupid customer service. I uploaded a new photo, but it got banned. I tried one more time, but was banned again. I was pretty sure was aligned with their terms of service. This was my latest photo and I use it on other website, and only OkCupid bans it for no reason. When I asked and complained about it they refused to reply. There are many horrible pictures on OkCupid and a tons of them are ten times more offensive than just a picture of my face. Well, my face is not that ugly, so I have no idea why are they doing this to me. Stupid website.

I joined this site and even before completing my profile I many messages from men. I thought they just liked my photo, because there was still no information about me. When I finished my profile I answered all the messages. I met five men there. And they all looked like fakes to me. All looked like models, claimed to be successful businessmen, had expensive cars and huge houses. They all insisted on getting my address and phone number. Then they told that they are in love with me, that I'm the cutest girl they ever met. The most interesting part was that they all were in the diamond business. Well, they had different photos, but there was one person behind them. They also told that they live in England, but they very quickly exposed themselves as very poor English speakers. Horrible site! I deleted my account the same day!

No phone number available on website. I spent over two hours jumping from one deep hole to another, never getting a phone number. Asked specifically for okcupid corporate phone number to report a scammer. No phone number! Just run around to nowhere for nothing, in and out if "support"";contact us: about us. Unbelievable. If you have a phone number please email it to me @ [protected]@hotmail.com. I was scammed, by what I have chosen to call a" hoocher."those that prey on the loving, caring people who are alone in this world as far as a partner stands. I know it is rampant. We need to be as viral as the hoochers evil that is viral. Why provide for them such a lucrative business. Make it super hard for them to get by with their set up. Shorten their life. If they're not legit, they won't stand the heat. I know there are lots of"me"s" out their who wanted someone to hang out with to share space on this earth with. I've been on my on for years, i'm used to it but don't lose hope either. My experience has given me a passion to become proactive politically regarding the "hoochers". I will have more information about that at a later time. Please if you know someone who is online dating on any site, on penpal sites or any other avenues hoochers may be using., have them talk about their connections always. Direct them to the email provided. I will respond I am supportive and do not believe in shaming someone for a mistake. We need each oth. Er here on this earth. It's our responsibility to be a part of our own self protection and that of our loved ones everyone on this earth has a right to be treated with respect and honor if they are respectable, honest, people. It's not about how much money a person does or doesn't have, it's about their words matching their actions, their integrity being deeply rooted; about the general care for our fellow human beings. Daily scammers with unpaid monitors... could easily prevent with NEW profile date started and highlighted as "NEW" or charge men a one time verification fee? to warn the woman... I report to "unpaid" monitors DAILY, and with 24-48 the profile is gone... this happens 2 or 3 times a day... only fake/scammers and old farts for woman over 50! Waste of time!

For the last 3 weeks or so, I haven't been able to log into my Ok Cupid account. Still not 100% why that is, but every time I tried logging in via the Ok Cupid app for iPhone, a message would come up at the top of my screen saying in bright pink letters, "Staff Robot has had a meltdown, please try again later". I have new tried logging in via the website online on my laptop and every time I tried that, the exact same bright pink message would pop up at the top.

Yesterday, I attempted to log in onto Ok Cupid by using the Safari Internet on my iPhone. I put in my username and password and it looked as if it was loading and actually letting me onto my account, only to come up with a message saying that there was some sort of problem with my entire account and that if I wanted to send feedback about the incident, I could click on a link and complain.

I haven't had anything back as of yet, but it is starting to really piss me off that it isn't working for me, as my friend has an account as well and she said that it did briefly not work for about 2 days, but since then, its been working absolutely fine for her.

About a month ago, several users messaged me regarding a profile that had verbatim copied my profile, but used different photos. I verified that they had indeed copied my profile and submitted reports daily - sometimes several times a day - to OkCupid using their "Report" feature. I also reached out to the founder through their messaging platform. In light of the "Catfish" scandals that are becoming more and more common day by day, OkCupid has a responsibility to its users to delete fake profiles when it is brought to their attention. In particular, when one user has copied another user's profile verbatim. They have refused to even acknowledge my messages and I want everyone to know about their shady business practices before signing up for this site. OKCupid is so automated that they just delete accounts without warning based on some computer-generated flag. There is no instructions provided on how to use the site (signing off or multiple browsers) and there is no customer support to help you after you have invested time into creating a profile. This is the worst dating site ever!

They design the entire site around females and attractive men. They only enforce their "rules" against men they deem unattractive. They make it as hard as they can for unattractive men to find people. If you break even the most minor rule they ban you on the spot but they don't even have the nerve to tell that you are banned. They just delete your scree name and say they are having "Technical Difficulties." Meanwhile female members and attractive male members can break almost any rule other than the nudity one and the mods will do nothing. They discriminate against men they deem unattractive and I ask that all men who use that site to take down your picture so they cannot judge and discriminate against you. I put up a picture of a bug on my pants as a joke. Within minutes I had moderators from multiple states in my account deleting the picture and disabling my ability to message people. This was from 2 girls reporting it. I reported a girl who had a pet as a picture. I waited and waited, nothing happened. Just more proof of their discrimination against men they deem unattractive. Remember, women consider 80% of men on Okcupid as unattractive so you may think you are attractive but the odds are, you aren't to them.

I joined OKCupid last week. Within a day I had met 3 different men who all seemed nice and genuine! One said he was a Major General in the Army, 51 years old, sent me some really nice pictures, and said he would be retiring in 2 months. I felt suspicious at this dating game, so I googled "major generals of the Army". Much to my surprise, I found several photos of the man I had met (different name of course). The general is actually retired and 67 years old! I found the real retired general on another search and let him know what was going on, and gave him the email address being used by an imposter.
The 2nd contact did not exist where he told me he did. I was told by him to text him at a number which turned out to be a landline. He said he was 51 and was very nice to chat with. There was a man by his name who lived in his hometown but he is 32. (I am 51).
The last man who contacted me was not only the nicest guy, but also the scariest of all. I did a whole criminal background check on him and he has over 10 felonies and at least 3 of those are class x! A lot of theft, and domestic battery! (and he lives very close to me!). How he is not in prison, I don't know!
If anyone uses this site, they need to #1. don't give out your phone #! # 2. do your homework and spend a little money to do a background check and #3. get the hell OFF of this FREE site. As they say, if it sounds too good. it probably is!

OkCupid is a strange name for a site, like some Russian or Nigerian not so comfy with English would come up with. And it's not quite free: you have to pay for the best features – IM (Instant Message) included -- that are free on other sites. It has alot of ghost members: the ones with just a nickname and no profile, while others didn't login for the past 4 to 14 months. I contacted them 3 times and they never answered, so I gave up on them: as for Customer Support they are a big 0 (zero).
Their matching system is dubious to say the least (apparently they use an infantile algorithm). And Spam is rampant ...

Fake user profiles should be exposed! I have lodged a complaint with screenshots as evidence, but so far the admins from the site have not contacted me or acknowledged my complaint. The user "Jollily" on OkCupid recently (up until a few days ago) used a fake photograph of a different woman in order to lure innocent and trusting men to her. I was one of her victims. she is still active on this site, and still won't use her own photo! ID verification should be across the board - be wary of sites that don't take fraud seriously. The attached photo of the blond girl is the fake photo she used. The OTHER photo of the woman with dark hair is apparently her real photo, because that is what she sent to me afterwards. I fell for this person and her deception caused me a lot of hearbreak and sorrow.

On january 26, 2011 on okcupid.com i was surprised with an email stating my photos were reported and deleted off the site…i couldn’t understand why i followed proper guidelines…to my next surprise i received an email from a mature woman stating, “my profile is featured in another okcupid users journal by the name DAAVEE, titled “And the psycho profile award goes to”…once you clicked on that title, it would direct you to my personal page…i was engraged and afraid…i begged the user to please remove me from his page that he had no buisness with me…instead i had to deal with comments full of profanity, abuse, and threats…along with the my stolen photo being exposed and exploited for no reason…he made a link by the name “this is a mustache” in the journal and when you click this link my photo appears…now my photo was being harassed as well…i scan through the journal to discover he is also degrading other female users photos as well…i decided to report him and contact okcupid staff about this menace numerous times….my sister who was also a witness contacted okcupid via email and phone with me…okcupid owners and staff are ignoring me and the situation…i take it further by contacting the local news, cable, dell, DA office, authorities…and my only solution is to take this to the NYPD detective squad and file a complaint and then go back to the DA office with it…also threats were said such as, “blood on the streets” and “i stole josie’s ip address” ” i have mpgs of josiemetal eating monkey jizz omlets” i wasinformed that the journal and my photo would be reposted and reapper later on…i am fearful of going through this torture again…why should i have to be degraded, stressed out, fearful, threatened, and putup with sleepless nightstrying to take care of this harrassment when okcupid should have taken care of it from day one…instead his page is still up and running while mine the innocent one is deleted and blocked…it makes me believe it could be ockupid staff sabotaging me…i wonder how many innocent women and victims this has happend to and they could not voice it…how would you feel if this was your wife, mother, sisters, daughter, or girlfriend going throught this harassment… it is not fair and unjust… isn’t there a law on privacy wether it is on the internet or not, why should i have to be exposed and harassed for no reason…this creep should not have my photo and play with it, or anyone else’s…i have documented and filmed all evidence of these horrifying events…i have started a video on youtube of this discoveryand more shall come…i have made a blooger and will post the links at the end of this report…no woman or person should have to be degraded and harassed on any site along with their identity in their photo beingexposed…please help me take care of this parasite and his followers because their are a menace to the internet…no one is safe while they are out there and getting away with this harmful cyberbullying needs to be put to an end immediatley…okcupid.com should be taken off the internetbecause they do not care for the users, there is no hotline to call when issues arise and emailing them is an obstacle especially that this is considered anemergency…i also sent them urgent messages and went further by contacting them on facebook…why aren’t any of them resloving this matter?…since this incident my friends are fearful of this website and have since deleted their accounts because they do not want their photos abused by whomever these hackers are…i am also blocked from the site and can not access it when i need to because i have another account that i desperatly need to delete before Daavee and his parasites find this one as well and bully it…i don’t understand how okcupid staff can block mefrom their dating website but not remove a user that is a possible threat to women….women have to be cautious on this dating website with this stalker on the prawl because they can be harmed by him and not know it…how can a dating website endanger the lives of women and justify this user’s actions…thank you for your time and i hope you can help me resolve this dreadful issue…
