When I traded in two vehicles for a 2017 GMC Envoy I did so to try and lower the monthly bills that were coming out of the house each month. My credit was not at its best but I had received lower scores when I was younger and had no problems getting financed at a much better rate. The dealer informed me that Nuvell was the only company that would finance me so I signed the paperwork wondering what was the problem. A few weeks later I went to the bank that I had done business with for fifteen years asking why I had been turned down only to fin out they had not been contacted for a vehicle loan. After some research I discovered that Nuvell is owned by (are you ready for this) GMAC.

Now what has me so upset about this is I feel like I was set up. I have recently lost my job. When purchasing the vehicle was asked if I would like to add the coverage insurance that covers me in case I loss my job or become disabled and can not work, therefore possibly unable to make my car payment. I was told it would only be eight extra dollars a month, at which point I said yes please do, only to find out the dealership mark the box that said I declined that option. I spoke to a Nuvell agent when I became Late with my payment explaining to them the situation I now found myself in. Not only was it the worst treatment I had ever received from anyone in my life (and I have actually had someone spit at me) the woman on the other end start in on me about being a liar, that if that were true I could send them I unemployment checks when the started coming in if I was signing up for that, starting cursing at me when I told her I was not on unemployment and informed me they would be coming for the vehicle if I did not pay what was owed in full.

I am still waiting for them to come get the Envoy meanwhile I too have been harassed by phone calls fifteen to twenty times a day at all hours from eight in the morning until nine at night. Now they have started calling members of my family asking them to get in touch with me and that I had put them down a references. The only problem with that is I had n contact information on those family members with their "new phone numbers and Address" because at the time we where all living in the same household which is one of the reasons I had to take two vehicles in for just the one. Those of you who have ever helped out a family member might know what I am talking about.

Hopefully someone will do a little research before buying anything from any Chevy, GMC, Pontica or Saturn dealership and run like hell when they try and scam you into signing with Nuvell.

I know that it sounds like some dead beat upset that people they owe money too is mad that they are trying to get what is owed, but no one deserves to be treated with the amount of disrespect these so called professionals have for their customers.

By the way, when this started I was only TWO WEEKS behind on that outrageous monthly payment. BEWARE!

I am late on my payments and I do know I owe them and am doing the best I can. My husband's job had gone thru a year of not paying well and so we've been making due with my income on bills. We now have a better income and are doing the best we can to get caught up but they keep hounding us. They do call 15+ times a day on cell, home and have now also added in calling the References we "HAD" to list on our application when we applied for the auto loan. These people have nothing to do with our loan and have no reason to also be subjected to their harrassing telephone calls! I have gotten the calls stopped at work as that is a violation of my company's policy so they were required by law to stop calling me there (thank god!). Absolutely the rudest collection agency and people I've ever dealt with and will NEVER EVER accept a loan if they are the offering agency.

I financed a pick up truck through Nuvell in 2017. It was one of the most expensive mistakes I've ever made.

The interest rate was questionable at the time, however I had to go throufh Nuvell in order to get the rebates and dealership discounts. I am down to my final payment of the 72 month loan; and I have been paying extra money with my scheduled payment for a very long time, but the extra money is not reflected on my principle. I have questioned and pleaded to get to the bottom of this and can't get any answers to my questions. They sent me a print out of my payments, however it has no information on the principle. I smell a rat and I am goiung to consult an attorney to get to the bottom of this.

As of right now, I believe it is safe to say that NUVELL is a dishonest coorporation, and the customers are definately very little significance to them. There is nothing good to come out of dealing with this institution.

I was having trouble making payments at one point due to personal issues and they were calling and haressing me constantly as everyone else complains about, even when I tried to make arrangements and do the right thing. I sent a letter telling them not to call me at work because I was going to lose my job if they continued. According to the law they were then supposed to cease and desist calling me at work. They still called me at work even while admitting there was a letter in my file saying not too. They caused me to lose my job. I still tried to continue paying as I could and continued to receive constant haressing phone calls. Now they are going to repossess the car and we are both happy. They get a piece of crap that needs 3, 000 dollars worth of repair and I can sue for them calling me at work even after recieving the letter telling them not to call. No point tryin g to work this out even tho I have been paying on this car since 2017. Do not finance through Nuvell! They don't play nice even when it's their screw-up.

I financed a 2017 Chery Trailblazer in 2017 with this company. My payment is due at the 28th of each month. My payments were on ACH debit until they took one a day early and the funds weren't there- now they refuse to set me up on automatic payments and make me wire them directly or online from my bank account. When I make my payment the day before it's due or the day of, they hold it over until it's late by 1 day then apply to the next month as payment- not the current month, and call me up to 15 times per day for 'late' payment. When I talk to them and explain, 'hey look in your system', they do then say, 'oh- sorry, it wasn't showing up on my computer.' This past June, one of those 'oh sorry' had my car repossessed even though I had made my payment, by money-gram, 3 days before they picked it up. As it was being towed away, I called them to ask how could they do that if I had just made a payment and had the receipt showing it went through, I was put on hold. When the rep came back she said, 'Oops- we didn't see in our system when the payment was made, it did update and shows it there now but, sorry, there isn't anything you can do. Here, call this number and pay X amount; you have maybe 10 days before you never see your car again.' They took my car from my house to over 150 miles away to a Chevy auction house and began prepping it immediately for sale, never intending to give me the alloted time to pay. When I did what I was told, I was treated terribly by every person I talked to, the auction house was put out that I had actually came to collect my car and made us wait as long as possible before finally finding my paper work. This nightmare didn't end when I drove my car home. I had to pay tag, tax and title again because Nuvell had immediately changed my back title over to them, again, never intending on giving me the alloted time to get my car back. Now, when my statements come each month it shows a 'Other Charges' nearing an additional $200. When I call asking what this other charge is, I'm put on hold, for 20 minutes at a time. When they come back on the line I'm told they don't know and to just pay it. When I refuse until they can account for it, they say they will have someone look into the charge and call me back with 24 hours--- that was last August. When I did get an explanation, I was told it was part of the repossessing fees. I told the man that no, I had a list of all the fees that totaled the amount I paid to get my car back. To that he told me it must have changed, he didn't know, but to just pay it. I had to get a 2 month extension because of all the money I had to borrow to pay them. The payment is due the 28th of this month and I'm already getting calls and it's only the 18th. If it were not for the fact that it's almost paid off, I'd tell them to hook it up and take it away. Plus, they have ruined my credit by holding my on time payments, making them late, so I can't get financed for a stick of gum, let alone another car.

I am trying to find out why Nuvell credit company is going through the IRS for money, I sent back a car in 2017, I never heard from the company and now they are trying to get me to pay, I don't understand why.I'm not sure if this is the right place to be looking, but it's a start, I will be contacting the IRS about this matter on Monday Jan.4th, 2017...thank you ;Pamela Peavy

Nuvell is harassing me and they have the wrong person! It seem there is someone at my company with the same name. So when the revolving door of Nuvell collectors call the company’s switch board, they are routed to me and usually leave a moderately threatening message regarding a past due payment. When I phone them back and leave specific instructions to contact the correct person, they apologies and swear it won’t happen again. 30 days later, I receive another call from the newest Nuvell collector with the same harassing message.

My advice to anyone reading this post is avoid these guys like the plague unless you can endure lots of calls and possibly misdirected calls to coworkers with no right to know about your business dealings

Consumer beware! This company is awful to work with. First they changed the account number and the method of payment options to pay over the internet, then they call when the paymanets are late, mind you 2 days late. When attempting to call them they can not give the new account number over the phone but will be glad to mail it to you. They are not able to process the payment because I only have the old account number. BUT they do call 5-6 times a day to demand payment on the account and will glad to take the payment over the phone for a "fee" but are not able to give the information to make payment without a fee or wave the fee because the service is not available on line just yet, If the payment is mailed it will be late and have a late fee. They have called at work as well as at home repeatedly and mind you the payment is 2 days. The people who call tell you the repeated calls are because they have not talked with a person yet and the computer dials the number. We have been a customer with this company since 2017;;; Never again..

Oh my gosh, here is what they did to me. Besides the constant harassing phone calls to me and my family, I lost my job in January. I called Nuvell to see if I could get my payment deferred. They told me that I couldn't defer the payment until I was late. I said ok, so can I call the day after the payment is due, they said yes. So I called 2 days after the payment was due, and they told me that it was too early to call. I needed to wait for at least 2 weeks, and then call them back. So 3 weeks later, I call them, and they finally say they will approve it. The next payment that was due I tried to pay with my unemployment debit card. They said that since it was not attached to a bank account they would not take it. Well why not? Everyone else that I purchase from or make payments to takes it.

The next thing I did was I refinanced the truck. I logged into Nuvell's website under my account, pushed the payoff button, and printed out the payoff information which was good for 20 days. Well after 15 days they were still not showing a zero balance. So my credit union called them, and found out from a manager that the payoff address listed on their website was changed months ago. So now they will not waive the late fee they are charging me, and my credit union has to put a stop payment on the original check and re-issue and overnight another check to the payoff department. It is utterly ridiculous that a company can have this many complaints and get away with it!

I agree. I have tried for 3 days to reach the company, by phone and internet, without luck. When the automated answers and says it's connecting to a rep., the line goes dead. When I try to access via internet, I can't get on the payment site. I have NEVER had these problems paying any company. The saddest part of all this is that Nuvell certainly doesn't seem to care because it's had these complaints for YEARS but does nothing. I can't wait til my car is paid off. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER have a vehicle through Nuvell (or Ally) again. SHAME on the CEOs running these God-awful companies and our regulators who do NOTHING to help us consumers.

They did the same thing EXCEPT, the people that they are calling, I never used a reference. GO FIGURE THAT. The rep said they have some sort of data base that ties the numbers we call frequently and they make the calls based upon that. One rep lied and said she got it from my husband. My husband only met this person once SO why would he have her number again?

I'm going through the same thing with nuvell right now !
Nuvell is horrible they don't make it easy to pay your bill and if you want to make a bigger payment they tell you you cant which is crap! but i found out that if you just send them the check they cant refuse the payment no matter what it is even if you were just to pay half of it. We actually paid for the coverage insurance and it hasn't helped us at all because when my husband was laid off this winter all they did was call us all day long and then started calling his grandparents. And to all of you who keep saying that it is your responsibility to pay our bills on time must not no what it feels like to loose anything because of this economy so you should shut the hell up until you really know what you are talking about!
We know its our responsibility!

when we bought our car, we were under the impression that another financial co. was handling our account. we were notified by mail that nuvell would be taken over our account. we were never told that your payment is considered late and would be accessed a late charge when your payment is one day late and think think this is ridiculous. also, one of there account reps actually took it upon hisself to find my neighbors phone number and harass this person, because i was on vacation and did not get right back to him. I am trying noe to have my ca refinanced through another company. i would never deal with this company or recommend them to anyone.

AS to the people comments above, that is a simple act of communisism. Nuvell is a group of bottom feeders that prey on people with bad credit that have problems, they hope and prey that you dont pay or make late payments because that is more money in their pocket. Make sure you write down all the times and dates they call and file a civil suit or file a complaint with your attorney generals office, and then file a civil issue, I found out I was being charged $5.00 a day on my vehicle loan with these ###s and got justice thru the court system for it. Nuvell is also no longer owned by GMAC, they got bought out by a company in Colordo, I bet that is a good investment, a awesome reputation of stealing money from struggling america. Maybe they should move to China too.

FYI, if you ever get another chance to purchase another veh, dont go in there without having your financing already set up with the co of your choice. NEVER EVER let them set up the financing for you, they do have several cos to choose from with several different rates, but they ALWAYS add another 2-4% on top of that interest rate for their "kickback". You obviously have a computer, do your homework first. read Consumer Reports, good advice on dos and donts And READ that contract BEFORE you sign, egad, they could have soaked you for 25% and you wouldnt have know till too late. This is no excuse for their bad behavior, contact your states Attorney General, but dont whine to him about the mistakes YOU made, only their spitting, no excuse for that under any circumstances, and make sure before you call the name of the person that did that. And yes, grow up and dont be a deadbeat

I can tell just by the way you explained this you are not being truthful. First of all never buy a car by youself because it's obvious you have no clue how financing works. It's not the dealership responsibility to contact your bank. Why are you not answering the phone when nuvell calls for payment? Maybe its because you can't afford the car. You are responsible for your family being called because you won't own up to your responsibility. You say nuvell is harassing you but what are you doing to nuvell by driving this car everyday and not paying. I would call that stealing. GROW UP! Nuvell is a subprime lender and that means you had credit issues before nuvell financed your loan. Yes, you are a dead beat for not paying. You probably have intrest daily on this loan and dodging nuvell is not the answer. You are actually giving nuvell more money...

Well for one, the dealership is responsible for getting you financed and they have a choice on who to send the contract to, Nuvell is a lender like any other, Citi, Triad, Wells Fargo, etc...For two, you did sign the contract at this "outrageous high payment," so you should be obligated to make that payment. Regarding your disability insurance, that is neither Nuvells fault or the dealerships, if you actually read your contract then you would have noticed it was not on there. Signing an auto contract is nothing but common sense and a little reading, and if you thought you were better than the rate they gave you then you should have told the dealer you would get your financing at your own bank, you do have that option... Now regarding the collections, they are not allowed to harass you and call you multiple times a day, they are allowed to call family members if they cant get you on the phone, and just a scenario, if someone you knew owed you say $500 wouldn't you be asking them for, these people are just doing there job and all you are supposed to do is make your pmt.
