Complaint Rating: 97 % with 32 votes
Company information:
Nokia UK
United States

Today i received a txt message claiming i have won 150,ooo GBP, i deleted the sms because:

1. They sent the sms via a different number than the one they want you to call.
2. Their is no way a big company like nokia will sms you on such big winnings, if they can offer such a package, why cant they call, how much more do they have to loose.

So i sent 2 emails, one to the above and the other one to Nokia Care line in Middle east & Africa

The cheaters replied next day saying" Good to hear from you regarding the NOKIA MOBILE PROMO. My names are Dr. Anthony Floyd. I am the Nokia Cash officer assigned to winners on the Mobile sweepstake.

In line with the commemorating event marking our 142nd anniversary we rolled out over £16,000.000.00 (Sixteen Million Great British Pounds) for our 142nd Anniversary Draws. I got an SMS on my mobile and then a confirmation email from a John Mariott from the Uk Nokia office saying that i have won 100, 000 pounds..Initially i thought Nokia couldnt just fool people as its a big company..bt when d amount is huge u do get very inquisitive..did a lota research on the subject and came across this website..thanks for opening my eyes to this issue..i was almost convinced to go ahead with d courier and other formalities. BTW the Berkley office address that the email referred to has no connection whatso ever with nokia office address. ANd the the no. dat they specify is not reachable. This is definitely a scam. I got a similar SMS, and checked the website mentioned above, beep7.com looks to be a SMS service provider only. The real criminals are these nigerians who fool people by collecting the information and asking for money. Earlier they user emails, now they are using sms.
