I originally received two sms on my mobile congratulating on winning the sum of 170, 000.00 Euro!! For claim I was given a number in Spain and an email nokia14a(AT)yahoo.es

Then I received the following email:

I forgot to mention that the person mentioned above called me on my cell and I told him I didn't have any money to send for the release of the package. He said that this was a great opportunity!! etc. etc. Anyway I borrowed the 360Euro and I transmitted it to them through Western Union. On that day I received several calls from various people telling me that I should harry with the transaction because the above mentioned -agent- was already at the airport with my cheque!!! Apparently he was going to deliver it in person, after making a stop at their Headquarters in London. He called me from London and gave me a number in case I wanted to contact him!! He also asked if I could pick them up from the airport the next day!!

The next day I received the following email:

I replied with the following email:

MY COUNTRY IS xxxxxx, A MEMBER OF THE EUROPEAN UNION SINCE 2004. WHAT DOES AMMAN HAVE TO DO WITH THIS?

I got a call from my "agent" the next day telling that he was very unhappy about this and that I should immediately send 495Euro to him so he will be permitted by the UK Authorities to leave with my cheque!!

I send the following email:

Dear sir/madame,

I have send the following email to Dr. Peter Simon but have got no reply.

Dear Dr. Simon,

My name is Anastasia xxxx and we spoke on the phone about 1 hour ago.

Supposedly Mr. Sanchez left Spain since yesterday with the mission to deliver the cheque your company claims I have won. Someone from your office called me on Monday saying that I had to send money – 360 Euro - for the delivery which I did. Yesterday evening Mr. Sanchez called me from London saying that he would be arriving to xxxxx sometime early this morning (Wed. 9.7.2008). Instead he called me saying that he was not permitted to leave the UK with my cheque and that I have to pay even more money – 495 Euro – this time in order for the authorities to let him leave the country. As I told you, and Mr. Sanchez on the phone I DO NOT HAVE this kind of money and I have NOBODY that can lend it to me.

Mr. Sanchez has been trying to call me again but the line drops!!! I tried to call him back but the line drops, somebody answers and then I get a busy signal.

Can you please tell me what is going on? Also please I want you to be aware that I searched the Internet and have found several complaints regarding the NOKIA MOBILE PROMO some with exactly the same sms/emails I have received only the names are different!!

I am anxiously waiting for your reply.

I have contacted your office in Spain and spoke to one of your staff who suggested that I should get in touch with you and see what to do about this.

Please consider that if this money is deducted from my winnings it will be returned to you (tomorrow) when supposedly I will have the money deposited to my account.

Thank you in advance and I am looking forward to your reply and help.

P.S. I have tried a few minutes ago to contact Mr. Sanchez again with no success.

I called again and somebody suggested that I should email the Nokia Board of Directors which I did. I have never heard from them.

Then I send the following email:

This message is to be forwarded to a Mr. Garry Sanchez

Sir,

I would like you to return the 370Euro I have transferred through Western Union Bank on 8 July 2008.

P.S. I have already contacted my lawyer in London and is already making enquiries about this scum.

I send a reminder today (16/7/2008) and needless to say that I have not heard from anyone from the NOKIA MOBILE PROMO.

Please take my advice and DO NOT REPLY to these kind of messages (sms, email). Nobody gives money away believe me.
