5/29/08 : Ordered a Boxed 16 Disc Set of The District for $199.99 plus 31.19 Shipping (not originally disclosed) for a total of $231.18. This was to be a Father's Day Gift.

6/5/08: They confirmed receipt of my order, however, they said the item was backordered and that my credit card would NOT be charged until the item shipped. Also, if you would like to Cancel due to the item being back ordered, contact us. Because I needed item for a Gift, I ATTEMPTED to cancel. I tried calling them on NUMEROUS occasions. Each time, the machine asks you to hold for the next available associate- they NEVER come to the phone. The final time I tried, I was on hold for just over 40 minutes. I then tried to e:mail them- the mail was returned -I sent approximately 10 e:mails- only 1 did not return. I trusted that the one that made it thru would be the cancellation notice.

6/23/08: I received a pitiful envelope with TWO DVD's. It was broken up, incomplete, not boxed and looked used- it was awful! Enclosed with it was a number to call if you were dissatisfied- the number was DISCONNECTED! I then looked on my credit card statement, they charged me on 6/3/08! Two days BEFORE I received the notice that they would never charge my credit card until the item was shipped.

I called my bank- they are going to take care of helping me retrieve my money. Also, (Coinsidnece?)... the credit card that was used for this transaction was also later 'compromised' and the bank had to issue a new card. Someone tried to process add'l charges- the bank considered it 'suspicious' and denied the transactions.
