Nick Florio Lilydale Toppings review: Driveway and Outdoor Area 2

Mr Nick Florio conducted $30, 000 worth of work at our place and said he finished in August 2011. From then until December 2011, we continually contacted him to return to complete the work and commence work under his 8 year guarantee. Failing action on our requests, we commenced VCAT action against him and VCAT found in our favour. Now he will not pay the VCAT ruling, and following Magistrate and Sheriff department action, he is still not paying what the courts said he owed. From this, if you do business with Mr Nick Florio, and want rectification work done, then possibly he will not do it, and due to Australian Civil laws, he does not have to pay. Mr Florio did poor work, used substandard materials for the site, did not listen to our needs and instructions, did work that does not need Australian Standards for Building, laid substandard drainage and has not provided the legal separation between the house and outdoor area floor. This will damage the house if not rectified. According to the information he supplied to the Magistrate Court, he is closing his business in November 2012, so anyone having work done, think about his 8 year guarantee. What chance have you got of getting any work done when he is out of business, when he will not honour his guarantee when he is conducting business.
