BEWARE Contractor Gary Melchiorre does poor quality work and he is not trustworthy. He has a very bad reputation. Wish I had researched him before I agreed to let him make a total mess of my home. Do your homework and look him up on the Internet.

Gary Melchiorre continues to change his business name again to try and run from his bad reputation. Check out his criminal back ground and numerous company names prior to using him. He is a very skilled Con Man. He has taken advantage of others and you might just be next. My experience was that he has NO INTEGRITY! He picks names close to reputable businesses as part of his deceitful practices.

Gary Melchiorre of Star Brand Construction has criminal charges and is a con man. He was dishonest in his business dealings with me. Numerous times I asked him to put things in writing and he did and would not. He took over $51, 000 of my money and left my home torn up with poor quality work. He loves to brag about his self and the quality of work that he does. Gary Ernest Melchiorre is all lip service. He never would put ANYTHING IN WRITING. DON'T LEARN THE HARD WAY. MAKE HIM SIGN A CONTRACT AND DON'T LET HIM MOVE FORWARD ON THE JOB UNLESS HE HAS REPAIRED AND CORRECTED WHAT HE HAS DAMAGED.

Melchiorre tore up the whole interior of my home, took my money, and NEVER completed one single task that he started. He left my handicapped brother without a bathroom to meet his needs.

Gary E. Melchiorre This Houston Contractor is a complete rip-off; he never puts anything in writing that he might actuallly have to abide by. The original "proposal" he presents is in his handwriting; each time the customer writes a check, he writes the check number and what it covered on the original proposal, eventually you can't even read it. Gary Melchiorre is a fast talker; his helpers are generally hispanic and he speaks spanish fluently so you never know what is actually going on between them. Internet Texas

Gary Melchiorre is a general contractor in the Houston area. He is a fast talker, trys to charm his way through a project; does not come to your job on time, falls asleep when on the job; goes through employees quickly; someone new on your job almost daily. Most of his helpers are hispanic; he speaks spanish fluently so the customer never really knows what he and the helpers are saying around you. He tries to intimidate his customers.

If you contact this contractor you must do your homework and check him out. Your initial proposal is handwritten on his letterhead spelling out what you have agreed on for your job. This is the very last thing you will ever get in writing; he puts nothing in writing that could be contested. He does actually only ask for checks during each phase of the project, until it's completion time and then he catches you off guard, spouts off a long line of things needing to be completed and then asks for a final check in the amount "he" thinks is necessary...in my case it was several thousand dollars...once I wrote the final check, there was one minor ceiling repair completed as well as a light fixture replacement...nothing else. I have asked repeatedly for a breakdown of what the final check covered and he will not return a phone call, text or email.
I have had to pay another contractor to completely sand down a bathroom wall and repaint because it looked so bad; I asked him no less than 4 times to please redo that wall and he never responded. He half repaired a ceiling which looks worse now than before the repair.
Once my job was "semi complete" I still gave him a tip, which he protested because it wasn't enough and he spoke to me like a bully.
I wouldn't use this contractor for anything ever again.
