On 17th Sept I ordered a Memory Topper from New Leaf Memory Foam as the site had lots of good reviews. £64 was taken from my credit card by World Pay Card. No correspondence has been received from New Leaf. I emailed on 23rd and again today. I rang the number on the site but it appears only to be an answering service and the message is that the box is full & accepting no more messages. I am hoping against hope that this topper will arrive.

Nightmare. I too got taken in by this scam company along with the 'please be assured that we wish to do the best by our customers' line. My bank are not prepared to help as it is 'out of the time frame'. Don't be taken in by these thieves. I use the internet frequently but now feel really stupid as didn't read reviews before trying to buy this.

I too have ordered from this company, and yessssss they have failed to send anything, I did receive one email, explaining their problems, but having sent an email back asking for my money to be refunded i have heared nothing. I can only assume that they will spend my money wisely on themselves and their family!

I ordered a mattress topper from them at the end of August; they debited over £100 from my card, replied to one email claiming staffing problems and now there is complete radio silence.

Make sure you fill out the forms on www.actionfraud.org.uk which is the official organisation which deals with fraud in the UK. The more detail that people enter, the greater the chance that the perpetrators can be stopped and prosecuted.

Actually it is still referred to by Google. I think what may have happened is that the web design company, Clientel, pulled the website following representations from disgruntled customers. I contacted them myself to express my concern that their name was appearing in association with a scam operation. There is no suggestion that Clientel were involved with the scam, they just wrote the website for a client. However, I pointed out that the trading standards people and the police had been informed and so the matter was becoming serious, and it would not look good for their corporate reputation to be associated. Their position was that they have no power to terminate a website belonging to someone else. Whether this is true or not, the situation changes once they are informed about what is going on. If they still had the passwords, and they could change the webpage, it is a defence in law to say that they were doing it to prevent a crime. Therefore they may be commended for taking swift action.
At least monies cannot be collected fraudulently now. At least, not until the scammers have set up another website. The amazing thing is that this can happen at all. Whereas there is a law against disqualified directors setting up a new company, there is no law against setting up another website to receive money. This particular scam has been going on for years under different guises. The name of the trading company changes. The location changes. But the basic fruadulent technique remains the same.

I too have had the same problems. I ordered 1 memory foam mattress for £122. Money was taken by World Pay but I have heard nothing from Leafy Lane since despite calling and emailing them numerous times. I spoke to my bank today and they are sending me a form to dispute the missing money on the basis that I never received the good that I ordered. I tried to go on to leafy lane's website today and google is saying it can no longer be found so hopefully this will be last of them!

Update on the fraudulent going ons by the despicable people who call themselves NewLeafMemoryFoam. I contacted Trading Standards where I live and they contacted their equivalent department in Leicestershire and the company is indeed in liquidation and have ceased trading - Trading Standards actually visited the premises to establish this information and no liquidator has been appointed as yet.

The best advice from Trading Standards is to contact your bank.

I do wonder why the website is still up and running as though nothing is wrong and worse still, will it still be taking orders and innocent peoples money? I sincerely hope not!

I have read all your comments with great interest. On 19th September I ordered and paid £258.50 for 3 memory foam toppers and matching coolmax covers from New Leaf Memory Foam based in the New Forest, Hants over the telephone. I selected the company because I thought their website was very informative. I used by Mastercard. My experience has been identical to yours - call-minder always full and no email response to successive emails. If you look at the Terms & Conditions on their website you will see under Shipping and Handling the following: "Under the Distance Selling Regulations we are obliged to send goods out within 30 days. If we fail to do this you have a right to a refund in full." As more than 30 days had passed I emailed again and issued an ultimation to the company, give me an explanation for the delay or a date for delivery, or failure to do either then I requested a full refund. As I did not hear back I became very anxiious and contacted Trading Standards who took note of my concern and told me to immediately contact my Mastercard Company who are now making their own enquiries. Because my transaction was made over the phone I am keeping my fingers crossed that I should get a full refund from my Mastercard company. I urge you to contact your Trading Standards Office because the way this company are conduc ting themselves is very worrying indeed and unethical. In trust that it is not a scam!

I too wish I'd seen the comments from everyone before I bought my mattress topper. £92.50 was taken by World Pay on 9 October. Ive emailed and rung New Leaf three times. Ive had no response and their telephone messaging service says the mailbox is full so can't leave a message. Ive no idea whether the topper will arrive but from other people's comments it sounds like the quality will be unacceptable so I will be pursuing a refund. I'm also going to complete an online fraud form and would urge others to do the same. Surely there must be some offical body governing such matters who can remove the New Leaf website so no-one else can lose their money! If anyone knows an address who we could all contact could they please post the details?

i too have been caught by these people, i ordered 4 mattresses to be delivered to Greece and paid £196. however, today i have filled in a fraud report form on-line and suggest that all of us who have been scammed by them do the same thing. i went onto the Leicestershire police website and also called them. The helpful lady told me to use this fraud report website. you can fill in an on-line form or call them. they are: actionfraud.org.uk. The more of us get the authorities involved the better. we have all lost relatively small amounts but it all adds up to a great deal of money they've stolen off us all. from now on i'll try to only order online from well-known companies, or check out these websites before i do it!

I too have been scammed by this company. I ordered 3 memory foam toppers on 26.9.11 and paid £132 and then heard NOTHING. Just like everyone else, I have been unable to get through on the phone and no replies to my emails. I paid by VISA DEBIT and I now realise I would have been safer using my credit card because you apparently don't have any automatic rights when you use a debit card. I have completed a VISA dispute form with my bank and I can only hope that I will see my money again.
WHY ARE COMPANIES LIKE THIS ALLOWED TO CONTINUE TRADING AND ACCEPTING ORDERS AND PAYMENTS FROM INNOCENT BUYERS? WORLD PAY WERE NOT EVEN SLIGHTLY INTERESTED IN MY POSITION AND I'M OBVIOUSLY NOT THE ONLY PERSON TO CONTACT THEM - THEY'RE QUITE HAPPY TO TAKE OUR MONEY AND TAKE THEIR CUT - IT'S SO, SO WRONG!

Oh how I wished I'd read these comments before ordering! This company looked so genuine on the site - I was completely taken in. I am now filling a credit card dipute claim for non-delivery of goods

I went to the the factory on monday, waited from 9am to 12pm, spoke to the person in the office next to leafy lane and he said he's heard about the company not sending out orders and says they turn up when ever. I looked in the window and saw some foam scattered around the place, to be honest the quality looks terrible, I went for a refund. I am going to go back there soon, and if any one from leafy lane is reading this, I WILL get my money back from you.

I also ordered a memory foam topper and cover on 6th Sept, no goods received, had the usual e mail claiming staff shortages and delivery within next 4 days, obviously a delaying tactic which they send out to everyone, then offered me a refund which never materialised, now ignoring me.
Next step going to credit card for a refund, have made Worldpay aware and they have passed to their monitoring dept.
Number of complaints re this firm on other websites - money supermarket and scam free Internet sites. Do not buy from this firm, they also appear to have traded as timeforbed previously and there are similar complaints.

I have also order a topper from this company, I have had no replies to my emails and phone calls, and after 3 weeks now I have not received anything. To be honest from what I have read I do not trust them or there product so I want my money back. Has anyone been to seen them face to face? I certainly will not let them get away with it and nether should any of you. Legal action will be taken newleaf if I don't get my money back!

I ordered a mattress topper from New Leaf to use in our caravan. We had problems with delivery but it arrived just in time for us to go away. After 2 weeks holiday it had a huge hole and large splits in it that meant that we cannot use it again - it will just disintegrate. I felt that it was not fit for purpose and requested a refund. They offered a partial refund or replacement which i refused and they agreed to a full refund. Guess what - no refund has materialised and dispite saying that they will collect, they haven't. I even checked the tracking information on the parcel and it appears that they cancelled the collection. They do not reply to emails and like other comments above their phone service is always full.

I have referred the whole business to my credit card company now. Buyer beware!

I ordered a memory foam topper on 26th September on the basis that I needed it by Friday 30th September. £84 was taken out of my account on the 26th but there was no acknowledgement from New Leaf, only from Worldpay. I sent another email on 27th telling them that I needed the mattress by Friday as I was taking my son to college and he needed it. I did get a return email from from New Leaf saying it would be shipped within 48 hours with next day delivery. I told them that I wanted the order cancelled and my money refunded. Since then I have heard nothing despite me sending further emails. This company is clearly not equipped to trade on the net and should be avoided.

I ordered my memory foam about 3 weeks ago. I have received 1 email during that time - about 9/10 days ago - saying it would arrive in 4 days. I have received nothing since and have emailed numerous times. I don't buy this whole 'we're too busy' excuse. There is either something wrong (I.e. They're about to go bust) or it's a scam - either way, in future I would avoid at all costs.

We have had problems with our phone line for the last few weeks and can't answer calls or get access to the callminder.
your order will be despatched and may well have been despatched by now.
We have some issues with staff shortages at the moment and this is not helping things
