New England Mint Credit card scam

These people got my credit info from another company in Florida. I bought some banana trees. After about a month I started getting calls on my cell phone wanting to sell me stuff. I then received two defaced two dollar bills and four quarters that I did not ask for. They then charged me 29 dollars and change for this ###. I even changed my card number so they could not charge me for it. The credit card company let it go thru anyway. now I'm out the original charge plus postage for sending the ### back. Another six dollars.

They did the same thing to me. I'm in the middle of it. How much did they charge you for the shipping?

New England Mint charging credit card each month without my consent, no products delivered

I ordered one set of $2.00 bills in December 2010, I received the bills. Now every month: Jan, Feb, and March 2011, New England Mint is charging my account 26.90 without authorization, and I am not receiving any merchandise from them. They will not stop the charges! I will have to close my account to prevent further charges!

I have the same situation. I purchased the 2 National Park Bills and I did not authorize or accept any other offer. I had the 26.90 taken out of my account for the month of February and March. I did call and they said once I return the product that they would credit my account in 3 to 4 business days. I will post another comment after a few weeks and let you know whether they put the funds back into my account.

New England Mint Charged my account without authorization!!!

I called the 800# after seeing the add on TV, the automated person first asked for my debit card information...after listening 24 minutes of other advertising, I just hung up the phone. Then a woman representing the company called me personally, and I told her "No I was not interested in this offer", she told me thank you for your time. This was the begining of Jan. on Jan 26.2011 I was billed for 2 sets of the $2 park bills, causing my house payment to be returned unpaid, due to unsufficient funds. Not sure how they understood a "yes, and send me two" out of ..."NO". Add insult to injury...don't even try to contact them...because you will spend the better part of your day on HOLD, only to be hung up on, once you get a live person!

If i could COPY AND PASTE Pawtuckets comment i would. He/she is absolutely right. Its exactly what happened to me. They are unbelievable. i order the 2 dollar bills with the two folders which was fine. that's why i called them in the first place to place that order but after i was done doing the phone automated order (which you never talk to anyone when you order) they just tell you to wait about 2 weeks to even check the status of your order, it doesn't let you confirm or review anything. it just hangs up on you with no total of what you are purchasing. i kept checking the status and it wouldn't show up and already i was getting a gut feeling that this was a fraud or some twisted unprofessional business. finally i found their number on some random website, called them and they told me that they had received my order that that all three of my orders where being processed..i was like WAIT A MINUTE. I only order two, and he said no you ordered the 2 dollars bills, covers for them. and a whole set of FIVE 2dollar bills. i said no to cancel that FIVE set because i never wanted that. so he said he would. next week i called to check status again and was told the same thing so i told him AGAIN that they need to cancel and AGAIN AND AGAIN... i called probably like five times checking my status and all of them telling me that they were gonna cancel it. after a 30 days i got my 2dollar bills and covers i had ordered and i was pretty happy because i had gotten it the day before Xmas, which was a close one. But just this month i received a package in the mail and opened it and come to find out IT WAS THE FIVE SETS OF THE 2 dollar bills! and they had charged my bank card $65. i called them and they said that i never called them to cancel that order. Which made my blood boil! they when i was still half ways saying my words he hangs up on me out of nowhere. then i call again and its the same person and when i try telling him my problem again. he then cuts me off and says hes gonna transfer me to a supervisor then hangs up on me. then i called again, then it rings then hangs up. i called several times and now they dont take my calls. PLEASE PLEASE DON'T ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!

New England Mint charging me without submitting a completed order

Last week I saw these Two dollar bills on TV and thought of my Father. I went to the website and began an order (this was the only way to get through all the information to find out how much they cost) After clicking through the various pages I came to a total of $119.50. I decided, Heck NO, and closed the website. TODAY I look at my bank account online and see that The New England Mint and Coins have charged my bank account twice, once for $26.90 and once for $92.60! After much searching I found an 800 number and called about this. I told the operator that I never ordered this and he said "Yes you did, I have an order here on my screen" I said I DID NOT, I exited the site once I saw how much the bills would be, I NEVER hit Submit! He said "You do not have to hit submit, by entering information it completes your order" WHAT? Are you kidding me? I told him that was illegal and I would stop payment on that order. He said the order had been shipped and I could return it but it was a completed order by their standards. How can that be? Beware, do not even go to their website. It has to be illegal for a company to charge you without you actually agreeing to purchase something from them.

I ordered blue berry plants.Bye the way were rippoffs also, a few days latter, a man called me, told me, , as a bonus for my purchase, I was going to recieve 2 free 2 dollar bills, with state stuff on them, for free.I dont go in for that cheezy colorized mony crap, but it was free so iI said O K . Just got my new bank statement, and was charged 26.90 for a third bill.I called them and canceled any further deliveries, But his voice sounded familier, like the guy who called me to beginwith.Thought to myself this is a scam, and he most likely wont cancel the order.Thank goodness I use a Visa check card, Im going to the bank shortly to get a new one.Have to go anyway.

I had hopes of recieving these two dollar bills also. I placed my order late Febuarary 2011. Today, I took the kids out for dinner, payed my bill using my debet card. and it bounced. I was shocked to find my card totaly enept of any money. I called customer support for my card, somone in India answered my questions and sure enough, New England Mint was the cause. Here it is April 21st. 2011 and I have received nothing in the mail. I must admit however, I kinda forgot about the two dollar bills. What was to cost $30.00 turned into Two Hundred eleven Dollars sucked out of my card! Go figure! In my case I have used a Debit Card and I dont think I have any recourse really, Do I? I'll call these people tommorow morning and find out what they are up to here. The rest of you, break a leg and hope the best turns out for ya.

On Friday, 3/4/11 I ordered the Elvis $2 bill online for $19.95. When I completed the order, I was asked to confirm the qty, which I did. It took me to another page to confirm, which I did. Then I realized that I was ordered additional items. My original order for $19.95 was now $109.70. I immediately tried to cancel the order, but I couldnt do it online. I called Customer service and was told that it would take 2-4 hrs for the order to show in their system. I called back in 4 hrs and still nothing. I called twice every day and still nothing. On Wednesday, 3/16 I was finally told that my package was shipping. I asked for the order to be cancelled but was told it was too late in the process. when I asekd why the orders was only now showing, I was given the run around. I then asked for a tracking # so that I could call the carrier and have the pkg returned. I was told that the information was not listed and it would not be available for 24 hrs. I called on 3/17 and the information is still not listed. BUT my card was charged immediately. I am going to file a complaint with the NY Attorney General's office. Hopefully I can get my money back. PLEASE TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW THAT NEW ENGLAND MINT IS A SCAM

New England Mint I ordered 2 sets of the coins and have not received anything yet.

I saw a ad on TV for the Obama Coin Collection by New England Mint Obama Coins. I bought 2 sets for my grandchildern for Christmas. The order was placed the 15th of Nov..I received a card saying the they were on back order and would get them in approximately 4 weeks. I go in on the internet and check the order and still told it is back order. I have not received any other communication of any kind from them. I have no other way I have no other to contact them. Is this a fraud?

After contacting "NEW ENGLAND MINT, NORWALK, CT", I told them my situation and they said it will be refunded within 3-4 days and I got really cocky with them and they hung up on me as they took it has a threat. I called back right away and as I was being 'transferred' they disconnected therefore they were screening my calls, I attempted one more time to be sure and disconnected me again, I private called them (*67) and I was able to get through, Ironic? huh...I told them I didn't order this and I would like the status of this order. They said it has been shipped, Well the first person I talked too said it will be refunded within 3-4 days and mentioned too me it was 'Canceled' and this representative said it has already been shipped out and if I wanted a full refund, I would have to refuse this order "WHEN"/"IF"(EVER) the package arrives and I will do so after; I take a picture of the package for "Proof" I received it, write down the "tracking number" to look it up online and hopefully the UPS/FedEx/USPS person can give me a receipt of refusal to show "Proof" I refused, with that said. Picture in hand, I received it, Tracking number in hand to print out documentation for proof of refusal, not to mention a written receipt from the shipper -- and if everything goes as planned and if I don't get refunded I'll be going after this company. I told them this was NOT authorized and to remove my credit card information from their system anymore charges after the fact will be considered fraud...fraud anyway.

I've never ordered anything from "New England Mint", All thought back in December I placed an order for the "Elvis Commemorative $2 Bill" for a Christmas present, but after I was 'Never' charged for the item, I decided to call them. They told me they were on 'Backorder', therefore I canceled my order and never heard anything from them again. On 02/17/2011 at 5:39 AM and I received a call from the following number: [protected] Lipenwald, Inc. - Here's their website, http://www.lipenwald.com . They told since I ordered the "Elvis Commemorative $2 Bill" I'm going to receive "FREE" Obama Coins or something, I didn't pay too much to it as I didn't really care. I told them, I never received the "Elvis Commemorative $2 Bill" as I canceled the order, therefore this offer will be void. Well apparently not as of this morning, 2/18/2011 at 3:54 AM, I was charged $26.90 USD "NEW ENGLAND MINT, NORWALK, CT" for something I was going to get for FREE, but technically voided as I canceled it, but yet now I'm getting charged? I'm going to making some phone calls in the morning. I'll keep you posted as I receive updates. Just as a note, I never did order 'anything' from New England Mint, therefore how did they authorize my card? Therefore brings too a logical explanation someone sold my "Credit Card Information" which is against "Credit Card Regulations", I'm going to take this company down. Let's do some more investigating...

Hey People! I just want say that I apologies for once being a part of this company! I want to add that I was one of the only few giving advice and helping customers to my max which includes notifying supervisors and getting customers happy! Now they do not charge until products ship thats due to the company being idiots and never making the product before they sell it.. So Obama coins! There not in stock ... they use excuses like its a 3 step process to make the coin etc.. Bottom line a company should not be selling something that cannot ship with in 3 days ... If you order cars from the website it does not mean your mustang etc is available in stock! also they use virtual fox pro v 9 which loses customers orders and charges people twice etc. Also beware if you use a credit card your whole number is on file with the expiration date meaning any rep can use that info and steal your credit..

To make matter worse Peter Kessen the office manager at 22 south smith street in norwalk ct and lipenwald is the real companies name has been warned by me and customers that illegal stuff was going on! I lost my job due to standing up for whats right! I could and wanted from the bottom of my heart help all you customers and do right by u ! I f Mr. Lipset owner only knew what his company is really up to.. Keep the fight i will.. HELP BRING PETER KESSEN TO JUSTICE!

I also placed my order back in November and received a card saying they would be shipped shortly. I didn't keep the card so I had no way to contact them. I checked my credit card statements back to November but I was never charged so I just figured I would never see the coins. I'm happy to report that I received my coins in the mail today. If you ordered through New England Mint, they say if you have any questions on your order visit www.customerstatus.com. Hope this helps.

The New England Mint - You do not look so good!
A letter to the company detailing a very bad ordering experience.
To whom it concerns,
I saw your ad on the TV last night (approx 10:25 p.m.) I called to place an order. I inadvertently placed an order for something I did not want and I was unable to correct it. I could not get an operator on the line. At one point I was told the order was processed yet they went on and on about other orders. I could not go back through the order, I could not get any live support even though I was told the call was monitored. I called back again and was on the line for over 20 minutes trying to get live assistance to absolutely no avail.

This morning I have called your [protected] number and have been disconnected several times...Finally I get a person by the name of Arvin on the line who has advised me that they are not able to review order information for at least 48 hours. Consequently I do not have a clue as to what was ordered and what was not. Procurement orders should be accessible as soon as the order is placed, not 4 to 5 business days as it stated on the company website. Where would those orders be and who would be able to access confidential information while the order is in limbo for that length of time?

This ordering experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth. So I am contacting you to cancel this order.

A note of interest: I worked in a family owned mail order business and customer service was our first priority. On week-ends, Holidays or in the advent of unseen emergencies we had an answering service that customers could call and resolve ANY problem. We had a website and our business name, address and phone number were listed on the about us page. Our business address and telephone number was on the Home page. You did not have to go over several webpages looking for that information like one has to do on your site, because this is what reputable people do.

As you may or may not know, all it takes is one bad experience like this to send your company on a downward. You can read about other reports about you on [redacted].com and other sites. Not a good thing!
