Neiman Marcus / The Neiman Marcus Group sales practice issue

tricked into buying over $2000 products but not getting what was promised for $600 gift card promotion, only got $300. Neiman Marcus lured customer into big purchase then plays words game to fool customer and not fulfill their promise.

on the website when I put the order."Gift Card's value doubles when purchase includes at least one regular-priced Apparel item and one regular-priced item from either Shoes or Bags" when I got the gift card it did not double its value and customer service's saying is shoes has to be Man size or Woman size not toddler size. whatever, Neiman Carcus always find ways to trick customers with hundreds of execuses.

Neiman Marcus / The Neiman Marcus Group multiple charges on cc/fraud

I purchased a pair of shoes for $662.00 online at Neiman Marcus in July 2013. The following day I logged onto my American Express account (the same account) I used to purchase the pair of shoes online and noticed MULTIPLE charges for the same pair of shoes. A total of $1, 400.00 dollars was charged to my AMEX card online by Neiman Marcus. I called the 1800-customer service number and the representative explained to me that the person who processed the payment "accidently" charged my CC too many times, and that the amount would be credited back to my account within 5 buisness days. On Aug 26, 2013 I returned the same pair of shoes I purchased online to Neimans in Tyson's Corner VA. ONE week later I logged on to check my AMEX card statement-- and BOOM someone FROM NEIMAN MARCUS purchased $1, 200.00 worth of merchandise and charged it to my AMEX card. Coincidence? or NOT... Don't trust the shady employees Neimans employs..I was hit TWICE within 30 days with CREDIT CARD FRAUD. Thank You Neiman Marcus... for causing me a lot of headaches!

they are terrible... and have so many issues of not respecting their customers.

delta does suck but I think neiman marcus sucks worse..
consider the following

The recent Neiman Marcus data compromise appears to reveal a desperate state of affairs under Karen Katz CEO.

The following are valid reasons to avoid this place and Bergdorf's like the plague:

Despite EEOC laws in America the company has not actively addressed the following:

Customers and employees are said to "ac...t like Jews" .

Asian Americans are said to look "extra Asian " by its own Management.

Entire Departments may have no Latino employees for years despite having qualified applicants.

The company's HR department apparently attempts to conceal this by hiring low level janitorial positions. This may be used to skirt equal opportunity..

Management has called gay male employees "###" .

" Fire him he has HIV" was stated by a different Department Manger

That employee working in the N.M. Café would prepare food without gloves. He used unwashed hands and cut fingers.

The company has a questionable food safety record . It may not have followed food safety laws and perhaps does still not.

A Neiman Marcus employee bled in prepared food through an open wrist bone wound.. When asked by The United States Government to respond, the company stated they are not applicable under the law. OSHA in Washington D.C was notified . The company never directly answered as to why it did not adequately protect its customers. The company shifted the blame to Liberty Mutual Insurance who had at that point not been aware.

In another recent publicized case Neiman Marcus was implicated in forging fake documents to smear an African American ex employee . This pattern of discrimination is very disturbing . Another abusive tactic Neiman Marcus utilizes is to have suspected African American's shoplifting cases moved to different judges courts. . This according to company Management allows an increase in the time they spend in jail . The company reportedly pays the Court to honor its request to switch judges it deems as not sympathetic to Neiman Marcus. The United States Department of Justice has been made aware of this.

Additional concerns include that the company has failed to pay wages properly and is known for retaliatory issues (Neimanmarcuslawsuit.com)

It now has another pending class action lawsuit for the data compromise.

The company claimed that one of it's former manager's is a "pedophile". Interestingly they gave him a positive reference to work at Chuckie Cheese Pizza (Owned by Apollo Management). This despite the fact it is a business aimed at children where a danger may be present.

Ms. Katz should seriously consider resigning as her company continues to be a pollutant

Neiman Marcus / The Neiman Marcus Group double dhl charges for international shop online

1. Order reference number:* wn2103749660
I bought first time a dress from nm. I had to pay dhl charges hkd 166.35. The dress is too big so I asked rma (Return on merchandise). I was very shocked that again they charged me hkd 332.03 for dhl. I can not accept this as on nm website for international shopping online, there is no mentioned that customer should pay again the courrier charges on return on merchandise. Nm customer service is nice, they said that they will work out with 51 international to waive courrier charges, but so far no result.

Meantime I purchased already another items on 15 jan, but when I realised about double charges on dhl (Buying and returning) , I immediately cancelled the orders on 16 jan and 17 jan through emails. Nm cs confirmed orders have been cancelled on 18 jan.
I was very surprised that I got dhl slip yesterday 21/jan, when I was not at home, that dhl have another package to deliver to me. When I contacted nm cs, they replied :
‘’’ you may continue to refuse the package
Or return the merchandise to us for a
Credit. We apologize for any inconvenience
This may have caused. & rdquo;””

If I accept this package and ask for rma (Return on merchandise) , I am afraid they will charge me again hkd 332.03 for dhl, which this is not my fault.

I need somebody to settle this problem, because through customer service only back and forward emails without any sollution.
I like to buy in nm, but online has risks for returning, because as a customer I do not fit/try on, touch or feel the quality.
Nm should mentioned clearly on their website for international online & ndash; if there is any/no courrier charge & ndash; on returning merchandise, because it is not nice to just deduct the bill without notify the customers from beginning.

Unfortunately, many companies use DHL for delivery service because it cost them less. However, people who cross border online shop don't realize that you must pay duty and other fees. These are NOT from the company you order from but DHL charges these costs. I found this out one day when I had a delivery from DHL and was just lucky to have enough $ on me to accept the package I had already paid shipping for. I have resorted to not purchasing from places who use DHL or found ways around shipping choices.

Neiman Marcus / The Neiman Marcus Group my advice is to only buy from neiman's online if you're desperate for an item

Because of Neiman's high calculation of estimated taxes, delivery & processing, and duty & brokerage fees already added to the final cost, I have my orders delivered to my cousin in the States who then ships it to me. This process is even more economically feasible than buying online from Neiman's and shipping it to me in Canada. So, my advice is to only buy from Neiman's online if you're desperate for an item. Otherwise, ur better off shopping in their stores when you're on vacay in the States.

Because of Neiman's high calculation of estimated taxes, delivery & processing, and duty & brokerage fees already added to the final cost, I have my orders delivered to my cousin in the States who then ships it to me. This process is even more economically more feasible than buying direct from Neiman's! So only buy from Neiman's online if you're desperate for an item. Otherwise, shop in their stores when you're on vacay in the States.

I purchase 2 items I was excited i talk to a #1 customer service rep the same day in she said my order was already processing and i will receive them on Tues. I was happy nice shipping time. however i received an email saying your order has been cancelled. I was confused as i had already talked to a customer service rep who stated my orders was going to be shipped to me. so i decided to call and ask i just did not understand this. customer service rep #2 she was unprofessional and insensitive told me that the people at the store made a mistake and the item was out of stock. still confused and frustrated I requested a#3 manger so i was put on hold. The manger was the same i was surprised she keep saying she think it may have been something wrong the purse and tried reassuring buy mentioning that this happens to other customers wow! so at this point which story is it out of stock or defects? I really couldn't get a word in with her i almost felt like i did something wrong or it was my fault as a customer at this point i ask to speck to someone head of here because i just couldn't believe that Neiman Marcus customer service is this unprofessional. she offered a discount however there's was not a good selection for me i found one bag that i liked but i would have to spend over a hundred with discount so i just decided to think about it. #4 i called back to speak the manger she was not available so i ended up talking to another customer service rep i have to me honest he was better i told him the story he said we really don't know what happened with purse to make a long story short. I'm all about customer service i understand things like this can happen but its how you handle it and to keep business coming. i will be returning the other item i purchase previously and i will not be doing business Its about customer service no matter what price range and bringing more customers i still shocked because i have order from other sites not as high end as Neiman Marcus and received Awesome Customer Service. I have wrote down all the names of people i talked to I'm still unhappy unsatisfied . As a frequent shopper on line i will not be doing business again with Neiman Marcus.

This ebay store is owned by a couple of thieves and robbers. Here is the info:

They sold fraudulent mortgages through countrywide in the height of the real estate bubble, and duped thousands of people into predatory loans. When that's over, you know it, they started an ebay store to sell stolen merchandise. Their store name is treetopmerchandise1 on ebay. Link is: http://stores.ebay.com/TREETOPMERCHANDISE1

The husband works part time as a bag handler at local airport, and steals anything valuable from innocent people, including men and women in the service. Wife is a professional thief that tours around local malls and steals from stores such as Ann Taylor. In addition, they have people manufacture cheap furniture in china and ship them here, then label them as Neiman Marcus, Horchow, among others. You know what people say? You get what you pay for! So if you think they can sell you a Neiman Marcus bed for ½ to ¼ of the price. Sounds too good to be true? It probably is.

Both Steven and Renee are criminals with extensive criminal background. Once they get hold of your money, you will never get it back. The only thing you can keep is a piece of junk made in China.

I placed an order for overnight delivery on Friday. Paid $17.00 for overnight delivery. Received email from NM yesterday that it had been shipped. When it didn't arrive today, I contacted NM via online chat about it. Here is the conversation:
Karen Scales: We sincerely apologize for any disappointment this may have caused.
Karen Scales: One moment please while I research this for you.
shirley: I paid for overnight delivery and received email yesterday that it had been shipped, but it did not arrive today.
Karen Scales: I am so sorry, but we do not have deliveries on the weekend. Our deliveries on only Monday thru Friday. So an order placed before noon on Friday with a one day delivery will be delivered on Monday, 05.09.11.
shirley: then the $17.00 charge for overnight delivery will be taken off?
Karen Scales: I am sorry, but the order is on schedule so there is not a refund to be given.
shirley: are you kidding me?. I'm paying $17 next day delivery and will not get it for 3 days?
shirley: who do I speak with at NM to dispute this charge?
Karen Scales: I am sorry, but our deliveries are based on business days. This order is on schedule.
shirley: Karen, three days is not overnight delivery!
shirley: please tell me to whom I should speak at NM about this.
Karen Scales: On moment and I will get you transferred to a supervisor.
shirley: thx
Karen Scales: I am sorry, but per my supervisor, you may refuse the delivery on the package and let it come back to us and once we receive the merchandise back at the warehouse then we will credit the account.
shirley: how is it being sent?
Karen Scales: FedEx will deliver the package to you on Monday.
shirley: FedEx was all over my street today. So why do you say they don't deliver on Saturday? I saw the truck come by my house several times today,
it was shipped yesterday (according to the email I received from NM), so I don't understand the "no delivery on Saturday" thing since Fed Ex does Saturday delivery.
Karen Scales: I am sorry, but even though FedEx makes deliveries on Saturday, our packages are only delivered Monday through Friday.

Depends on where it coming from on the fedX truck, if the items is being shipped for out the country. It take a while from out side country, because of the tight customs guide line for your safety and others from military weapons or bombs. this has been like this since 9/11 and different country's have differrent times and dates then USA, like china or Pakistan. Dont feel bad im waiting on my items too. And there coming from Hong kong to my Home state Louisiana. It will 13-22 days when i get it. I would call them NM and ask them for those tracker shipping codes, so you look it up on FedX website. It will tell you where it is at and how far you items form you home or business. If it from US then yea it should been there buy now if you order overnight delivery, but let me remind you that and overnight deliver is not always 100% guarantee deliver.

On October 30, 2010 I had lunch in the Café at Neiman Marcus with two friends. After sipping my tea from a straw I bit down on something hard that was not ice. I spit the piece out and it was broken glass. After trying to get the attention of our waiter who continued to ignore us, my girlfriend got up and brought the café manager over who confirmed it was glass. He removed our tea glasses and we were brought new glasses of tea. After having more tea, I looked in my glass and saw another piece of glass at the bottom just as my other friend started coughing and gagging. Apparently she had just swallowed a piece of glass that had become logged in her throat. It took quite some time to get anyone to come back to our table and she took off to the ladies room to see if there was any more glass stuck in her throat. While she was away, I looked in my other friend’s tea and there was another piece of glass at the bottom of her tea. We finally got the manager to come back to the table, handed him the other 3 pieces and he once again confirmed what it was broken glass. We sat and sat waiting for someone to come and take a report about the incident.
Finally, someone from “customer service” arrived and took our names and statements. We requested to talk to the store manager as our friend that had swallowed the glass was still in pain and coughing. She was visiting from Germany and staying with my other friend. Another long wait and we got to speak with the store merchandise manager and another gentleman. The entire time we felt like we were treated like criminals. They told us we could go to a Care Now to get our friend checked out but when we finally found the facility, they refused to see her as they did not have the equipment to check out her throat. After playing telephone tag with Neiman’s we decided to take her to the nearest ER to have her checked as she was still in pain and coughing. Neiman’s said they couldn’t guarantee payment, however, we felt it was their responsibility to pay the bill. We spent several more hours at the ER where they did not see any more glass stuck in her throat but there was obvious damage to her throat from the other glass. Our friend from Germany did not have any insurance so my other friend has paid for her ER visit.
We filed a complaint with their insurance company for the bill but Liberty Mutual denied the claim saying there was no proof! The store manager refuses to talk to us, a letter to the President and CEO of Neiman’s has been ignored and calls to their legal department are not returned. Meanwhile, my friend is out at least $1, 000 for their negligence. What to do now?

Those are some good ideas. But posting the truth on the internet and letting Americans comment is a common man/woman with little to no money way to fight for justice. Please remember we are speaking about a whole police department and legal system that is broken. When you get arrested there are no computers in your jail cell. It is the people that must tell your story. When light is brought to any situation like this it makes covering it up impossible. Please send this story to all. The media claims to have a desire to run this story. But you watch the news and even the media can be part of the problem. We the people are not wealthy, but we are rich in numbers. United we stand! God bless America and the United States Marine Corp.

You can file complaints with the local City Health Department, the State Attorney Generals office, the Better Business Bureau, file a complaint on TrustLink.com, and take them to small claims court.

You should have kept all the shards of glass and kept them for future reference.

You can also go to the local newspapers, tv stations, radio stations, and see if you can get this story on the news.

If you have a video camera on your computer, you can file a public grievance on Youtube.com and post it.

media. It was only until his false arrest December 18, 2010 and detainment in Gwinnett County jail through Christmas Gibson got mad. Then, look out. Norcross Police Department falsely charged this disabled US Marine with False Repot of a Crime. Originally included a felony forgery charge included in the warrant. The sentence carried one year in jail and thousands in fines. Gibson was appointed Public Pretender - I ment Public Defender, John K. Ireland.

Visited in jail, Attorney Ireland gave a copy of Norcross Officer Eric Butynski badge number 122 report. Attorney Ireland never read the report, but expained to Gibson to take a plea. Pointing out how lucky Gibson was Judge Carla Brown had droped the felony forgery and all remained was False Report of Crime. The plea offered by Gwinnett Solicitor was twelve months probation, one thousand dollar fine, and thirty gady in jail. His court appointed lawyer, Attorney Ireland perfered to be called, explained if Gibson rejected the plea he would remain in jail pass christmas with no bond.

Gibson reviewed the police report and quickly new no crime had been committed. He showed his "court appointed lawyer" line for line the false statement written by Officer Butynski. Court appointed Attorney Ireland, with a smurk, reccommended Gibson move out of Georgia. But Gibson would not be given an oppertunity to present evidence in the court until trial, Attorney Ireland told Gibson. Depressed and confused Gibson, in his wheelchair, returned to spend his Christmas in jail. His sixth Christmas away from his family, five spent Serving his country as a United States Marine Corp..

With Judge Carla Brown gone on her Christmas break and responsible for signing the warrant of arrest Gibson sat in jail until former US Marine now a Gwinnett County Judge lifted the warrant December 29, 2010. Prosecutors wanted bail set at twenty five thousand thousand dollars and was furious at the Judges one thousand dollar bail given. The judge looked at Gibson multipal medical issues and facts leading to his arrest stating he would give Gibson the bennifit of the doubt. Lucky for Gibson his survival pay fron the Veteran Administration had posted to his account. Of his $1, 857.oo monthly check he too $1, 300.00, as needed. to post bail. See, Gibson was recieving $7, oo3.00 monthly but was erroneously reduced to $1, 857.oo. But that is a anouther issue he has been addressing over one year ago.

As you can see, there are several factors against Gibson. Even a man who served his country and was honorable medically discharged can be innocent, like on television shows the police, public oppinion, and prosecutors demonize the accusrd and definitely work against the defendant An investication that may be based on false evidence only made important by police officers bent on malicious motives taking the attention off the actual charge being brought. Gibson now out of jail turned 35 January 02, 2011 is relying on, "we the people", and media to spread his story to all Americans as he takes legal precaution in this situaton. Men and woman who have stepped up to serve for our freedom in this great country especially dererve better.

Neiman Marcus / The Neiman Marcus Group shipped to old address

I placed an order on Neimanmarcus.com last week. I moved from Boston to Rhode Island eight months ago. Bills and catalogues having been coming to my new address. For some reason my recent order defaulted to my old address. Not one, but two customer service representatives have told me they may not be able to have the package re-routed by Fed Ex. I am responsible for it-meaning my package would be delivered to a place where I no longer live and I would have to pay for it. I have always been so impressed with Neiman Marcus customer service in the past. In the "old days", they would have sent another package right out to the new address. You will not find that the "customer is always right" there. Outrageous!

Thank you for your kind response. I did go through customer service twice! The package was not re-routed in time. However, I was able to send it back to you before it was delivered. I as contacted by a customer service person earlier. She assured me my order was being shipped out again to my correct address. At this time, all is well.

Neiman Marcus - the worst customer service!
Be aware of refused returns! I had returned some of my online purchased item at the store but 2 weeks later received 2 items back with the letter stating that the labels have been removed. I inspected items and found that all labels were there. After contacting customer service I was told that size labels were cut-off - Not only I did not cut them off, I did not even see that they were missing since I intended to return these items. for all I know it could be how they shipped it to me, or it could have been someone else's returns.
Will never shop at the Neiman Marcus again!

The issue was later resolved by the President and Chief Executive Officer of the company.
Resorted to contacting company management because of the indifference and unresponsiveness of the Customer Service representatives.

This place has the worst customer service ever! I went in to Neimans to purchase a Chanel bag, the bag was flawed so I decided to return it. It's been a week and I still have no update on my refund, management is always conveniently off for the day at 10am in the morning, of busy at the moment
which is all day long. When you spend $3, 500 on a purchse, the last thing you want is to be treated like crap and not knowing where your $3, 500 refund is. I will never shop at neimans again.

The store is one of over 20 branches operated by Nieman-Marcus with headquarters in Texas. Both the company website and the mall entrances to the store seem to indicate that it is still an ordinary NM branch, eg accepting American Express cards, Bergdorf Goodman cards and cash from walk-in customers. In fact, the sales staff is ordered to "profile" customers to determine who can look at the merchandise in display a department and who is forced to leave without buying anything, then further profiling by expecting the customer to voluntarily wave the new HSBC NM card at them before they will wait on the customer. Since this card now takes about a month to get from the day you apply for it, this means that walk-ins to the WP branch, even if they "pass muster" with the rude, arrogant sales staff, cannot buy anything for about four weeks from the first time they select merchandise to pay for. The reason that this is apparently legal is that their stock is almost entirely designer boutique merchandise. This is offered during a particular selling period by several authorized dealers at the same fixed price, which means that a customer who is not waited on or refused a sale at NM WP can certainly buy THE SAME THING AT THE SAME PRICE from a competitor. Remember that most sales staff in the most upscale shops are trained that when one customer is walking around in tatty clothes and uncomed hair, while someone else seems to be stiffly behaved and formally attired, the first customer could very well be a frequent-high-end customer always ready to spend serious money, and the second could be a "window-shopper" who will either end up buying nothing or else plan return everything they buy months later to attempt to receive a full refund on it. I am an avid collect of Royal Crown Derby china, own over 150 pieces, and am still collecting. On Mway 12, 2010, I was checking the public display of Crown Derby in NM WP. A loud voice shouted from behind me to stand down and move away from the merchandise. I explained that I was looking at Derby Panel Green. He came over to me in less of a heated temper without identifying himself as either security or management or even an employee of the shop. I asked him if there were any other Crown Derby patterns on display. He said "no". I pointed out Gold Avesbury and Darley Abbey. He then "parked himself near the display" until we left, althrough he formally refused to sell me anything. I then picked out a pair of pajamas in the basement. the employee was courteous enough to actually explain that he was a staff member selling men's personal furnishings, which the other fellow didn't even bother to do. However, when I came to pay for the pajamas, he went in to a furious rant, as if he has been regularly doing this to other customers, that he is tired of explaining to his one customer a day that he can't sell you anything unless you have applied for the HSBC-Nieman-Marcus credit card a month before and wave the card at him before he starts programming the sale into the computer terminal. The logical class action suit would be that since Nieman-Marucs sells primarily designer boutique merchandise which any customer cna buy elsewhere at the same price, a class action suit should be filed insisting that NM- WP post on both its website and its mall entrances that it is a private club whose potentiall customers can be individually profiled by unsupervised sales staff, who then cannot sell to you unless you have one month before applied for their NM - HSBC credit card.

I received 6 Bangle Ippolita Bracelets this past month for the holiday. The braclets all have their tags attached to them that show they were purchased from NM. The attached tags also give the identifying information (SKU # and cost) for each item I was returning. I called NM prior to driving the 1.5 hours it takes me to get to the store to tell them the situation and that when I would be arriving. I called both the NM King of Prussia store and the 800 customer service phone number posted online. I was told by both, that NM would either credit my NM charge, receive a store credit, or be able to make an exchange for something else. I was very specific that they were gifts and did not have a receipt. I was told that because the NM tags were attached so "It would absolutely not be a problem". I arived at NM yesterday, 1/4/11 around 3:30pm. The cashier took the merchandise and told me she just needed to get a managers approval for the return. Unfortunatly, EVERY SINGLE manager was in a meeting and I would have to wait about 2 hours. She directed me to the food court where I could wait. As I sat in the food court, like a dummy, I called the store several times and was being put into voicemail boxes. I was finally transferred to the store's corporate secretary. The secretary told me to come back to the store and she would find a manager to help me. This is not how NM does business. She apologized and said that this situation should have never happened. I walked back to NM...and waited another 35 minutes for a manager to come to meet me at the jewelry counter. The unpleasant Jewelry Manager still refused to accept my return, make an exchange or help me in anyway because I did not have a gift receipt. Remember, THEY HAVE THE TAGS ON THEM! She kept saying how does she know they were from NM? I was talking to an insane person. I was given a form stating they were keeping my merchandise to do research on the items to help me return them. I told them I was taking two of the items back home with me, which I did, and NM kept the other four. The paper I received does show all the information on the 4 items they were 'researching' in order to help me process my return. I called NM today to followup on the situation. I was STUNNED when I was told me they do not have items and they returned them to me yesterday before I left the store! Are you kidding me? As of right now, they have stolen over $1, 000 dollars in jewelry from me! I have a NM itimized form that says they have my items and are researching them. They say, sorry - nothing I can do to help you. I have no refund and no merchandise now. How can they get away with wasting four hours of my time and then stealing from me? WHAT TYPE OF SHADY ORGANIZATION IS THIS? They do not accept Visa or Mastercard and I regularly pay by cash or check because of this. This is absolutely crazy. Never, never, never will I step into a NM store again. Any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Damage Resulting
I was not returned my items and now they are 'lost' at NM. They say they are not responsible even though I have a paper they gave me showing they took them from me yesterday to possibly research my return. I have two other bracelets that, thankfully, I took back home with me. I figured even though I didn't 'love' them, I would deal with them. I thought maybe it would help speedup the return. My rationalle was, if the return was for less money they could speedup the return process. I am stuck with those too now. The total, without tax, of NM merchandise they are saying they do not have totals: $1, 250.00. The braclets I took back home with me and cannot return totals: $645.00, again without tax! I went to the doctors today to get a perscription because of the stress of this situation I am so updet by this whole thing. I basically felt like a theif for returning Christmas gifts!

On October 30, 2010 I had lunch in the Café at Neiman Marcus with two friends. After sipping my tea from a straw I bit down on something hard that was not ice. I spit the piece out and it was broken glass. After trying to get the attention of our waiter who continued to ignore us, my girlfriend got up and brought the café manager over who confirmed it was glass. He removed our tea glasses and we were brought new glasses of tea. After having more tea, I looked in my glass and saw another piece of glass at the bottom just as my other friend started coughing and gagging. Apparently she had just swallowed a piece of glass that had become logged in her throat. It took quite some time to get anyone to come back to our table and she took off to the ladies room to see if there was any more glass stuck in her throat. While she was away, I looked in my other friend’s tea and there was another piece of glass at the bottom of her tea. We finally got the manager to come back to the table, handed him the other 3 pieces and he once again confirmed what it was broken glass. We sat and sat waiting for someone to come and take a report about the incident.

Finally, someone from “customer service” arrived and took our names and statements. We requested to talk to the store manager as our friend that had swallowed the glass was still in pain and coughing. She was visiting from Germany and staying with my other friend. Another long wait and we got to speak with the store merchandise manager and another gentleman. The entire time we felt like we were treated like criminals. They told us we could go to a Care Now to get our friend checked out but when we finally found the facility, they refused to see her as they did not have the equipment to check out her throat. After playing telephone tag with Neiman’s we decided to take her to the nearest ER to have her checked as she was still in pain and coughing. Neiman’s said they couldn’t guarantee payment, however, we felt it was their responsibility to pay the bill. We spent several more hours at the ER where they did not see any more glass stuck in her throat but there was obvious damage to her throat from the other glass. Our friend from Germany did not have any insurance so my other friend has paid for her ER visit.
We filed a complaint with their insurance company for the bill but Liberty Mutual denied the claim saying there was no proof! The store manager refuses to talk to us, a letter to the President and CEO of Neiman’s has been ignored and calls to their legal department are not returned. Meanwhile, my friend is out at least $1, 000 for their negligence. What to do now?

I also had a problem with a Smart Label. After three weeks of waiting for the package to be delivered to Neiman Marcus, I called customer service. I called every day for two weeks, getting nowhere. I couldn't even speak with the same person twice. When I would ask for the person that I spoke with the day before, I was always told "there's no one here by that name". I researched the problem on my own and found that the post office did give the package to the secondary carrier but the secondary carrier couldn't find it. I was finally able to explain this to a "supervisor" who promised to check with the carrier and call me right back. She never did call. For four more days I called her, but she was conveniently away from her desk, out for the day, or at lunch. I finally got fed up no filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Within a week NM apologized and issued the credit.

I am currently in a 'dispute' with NM over 2 necklaces that I ordered online in Dec 2010 and promtly returned upon receiving because they did not appear what was online. I mailed a package back to the using their own return label. Upon receiving my bill I saaw I was not credited back so I called and the rep said it could take several weeks before my acct was credited back. So then next bill amount still not credited back. I call again, speak with a rep and she verifies that she can see the items were returned and in December and is puzzled as to why my acct was not credited. She said she has to file a 'dispute' form for me to get it fixed. So I wait. I get a call from MN asking for a payment & tell them I want my acct, late charges and finance charges fixed with the credit I should have and refused to pay until it is corrected. one week later I get a letter from NM telling me I need to PROVE that I shipped the items back! I am LIVID...I used the SMART RETURN LABEL they included with my items and sent it back...now I have no proof...WTH? So today I call them again and speak with a lady in their DISPUTE department. She tells me they never received the items and the rep that said she saw the items returned doesn't even work in that department...I aske her to pull the recorded call on 2/15/11 which will prove I spoke with the rep who confirms the items were receievd back..So..here I am out $1, 047 for items i sent back over 2 MONTHS ago. I called again and now being told I need to call a completely different place that handles catalogue returns...WTH? Now I look in my online history where I ordered the items and all my history has magically disappeared...I will FIGHT THIS to the bitter end. I am not a theif, I do not have the items and I mailed them back. I was not supplied a tracking number because i used NM SMART RETURN LABEL...HELP...DO THEY NOT TRACK THEIR OWN RETURN LABELS?

Neiman Marcus / The Neiman Marcus Group missing shipment

I have been a customer for many years. Purchased 3 items including a size 14 Pucci dress. Instead I received a size 0 denim cut off shorts with a price tag of $50 that could not go over my toes. I had to spend endless time with Neiman to convince them that i had not received my shipment. their customer service is rude and unhelpful. i will never shop there again. now, i have to wait 6 weeks to get a credit.
of course, the dress showed up on ebay with the Neiman ad. I wonder if they have theft in their warehouse!

This posting is to warn consumers that this website is not related to Neiman Marcus according to my conversation with the customer service rep at the real Neiman Marcus.

I shopped online at www.neimanmarcushop.com thinking it was Neiman Marcus and realized that I never got a confirmation email and the payment was through a 3rd party provider.

I called Neiman Marcus to follow up on my order and Patrick in customer service at Neiman Marcus said they couldn't find my order. He asked for the web address. Then we realized that I shopped at an imposter website using the Neiman Marcus name.

I did some research on the web and my findings are below.

Patrick said this company in no way is related to them. I ordered jeans through them and uploaded all my address, credit info etc, and then tried to call www.neimanmarcushop.com.

NO PHONE NUMBER just a yahoo email- 2nd tip off. To contact the merchant of this website there was only a yahoo email address. http://neimanmarcushop.com/contact.php

They took $326 and I doubt the jeans are authentic. The website looks real and they use all stock photos.

I looked at the owner of the domain name as well -IT WAS NOT NEIMAN MARCUS but out of China.

I have ordered 3 pairs of jeans from www.neimanmarcushop.com, they have takem the money out of my account but have yet not delivered the goods. It has been a few weeks now and I tried to acess the website, but it doesn't come up on my screen anymore. Their are a few sites selling the exact same jeans at the same price, i think there is something dodgy about all these websites.

Neiman Marcus / The Neiman Marcus Group credit rating

A negative rating was placed on my credit report by Neiman Marcus for late payment. I did not pay this bill because I was not aware that I had a bill and I did not receive an email alert. Because I have not been happy with Neiman's billing system in the past I use AMEX instead. I received a letter from Neiman's 60 days after the fact stating that my account was past due; I immediately checked my account to find over $300.00 dollars in charges that I had not made. Neiman's allowed my daughter to make charges to my account without a card and without my knowledge. I paid the bill in full immediately, but Neiman's chose to flag my credit rating anyway. I called customer service and discussed the situation with one of their representatives who informed me that they would certainly remove the negative rating since it was their error in allowing the charge. She indicated that I would receive a copy of the letter sent to the credit rating companies as well as confirmation that the negative remarks had been removed. Instead I received a letter from Neiman's informing me that they would not be making this correction. Neiman's should be responsible for their mistakes not cavalierly impact my credit rating!

Neiman Marcus / The Neiman Marcus Group neiman marcus sells your credit card information

Neiman Marcus sent a very small flier in the mail that said they intended to sell my credit card information. It was a very nondescript mailer with incredibly small print. At the end of the mailer they gave an address that I could send a letter to if I did not want my information sold. They gave no envelope, no stamp and this flier looked like junk mail - easily missed. Everyone should know that they intend to sell your information if you have a credit card with them.

Neiman Marcus / The Neiman Marcus Group credit card problems

I decided to be a good consumer and instead of getting paper statements for my Neiman Marcus credit card to go with e-statements. I track my credit through a credit bureau tracking service, and I received a notice saying that there was a change to my credit record. When I checked into this, I found out that Neiman Marcus had put a negative inquiry into my credit record. I called up the bank charge company that handles Neiman Marcus' charge card and they said that they had sent me my statements for both Dec and Jan and that since I hadn't paid they sent me to the credit company. For the record, I never received an electronic statement, nor did I receive a paper letter or a phone call telling me my payment was late or due! And now I have a complaint into the credit card compnay and a complaint into the credit bureaus.

For the pious responder who thinks this person is a ###, be careful when passing out judgments so freely. I am a good consumer with a credit rating that is envious, I pay all my bills in full every month. I have recently had a similar experience with Neiman's. I did not receive a notice that my bill was available to view and I had not made any charges on my Neiman's account - I prefer to use AMEX because their billing system is much better. I received a letter saying my account was past due; I immediately checked my account and learned that my daughter was allowed to make charges on my account without my knowledge and without my card. I paid the bill in full immediately and Neiman's flagged my credit rating anyway. I called Neiman's to discuss this and was told that they would contact the credit agencies and remove the negative flag since it was their fault. I was to receive confirmation of this correction in writing, instead I received a letter saying that they would not make the correction with the credit services and took no responsibility. This is not good business and they do have a responsibility to their creditors and they should take responsibility for their mistakes. Every situation should be considered based on the circumstances and the credit history of the individual.

Just because you didn't receive a e-statement or a paper statement doesn't mean that you don't have to pay the bill. They aren't baby sitters...you made the charges...as a "good consumer" you should be cognizant of your bills. Are you trying to tell us you went a whole TWO billing periods without once thinking oh I should pay my Neiman Marcus bill...nah...they didn't send me a bill or an e-statement so they must not want their money. Your ridiculous and I'm sorry but you deserve the negative rating on your credit report for being such a ###.

Neiman Marcus / The Neiman Marcus Group double dipping in my checking account

I ordered 3 pairs of shoes and 1 tights Neiman Marcus catalog by telephone. The items were to be paid for with my mastercard debit card. I received the 3 pairs of shoes but subsequently returned two pairs and the tights were on back order. However, when the order was first placed neiman marcus put an authorization hold against my debit card for $387.89. When the shoes were shipped they then deducted another $332.89 from account a second time. When i contacted Neiman Marcus to find out why they did not deduct the $332.89 from the authorization hold of $387.89, i was told they do not do it this way. I have talked to a MS Christoff who is the manager who wanted to conference a call with my bank, but first i must put my pin number in so that they can get access to my account. I refused to go along with this idea for fear of someone using my bank card illegal. I requested they reverse the authorization from their end, but was told they cannot do this. therefore, I would like Neiman Marcus to credit my checking account for the $387.89 that is owed me promptly. I was promised that the debit card hold would be realesed12/12/2008 and as of todays date nothing has beeen done to credit back my account the monies that is owed me. What neiman marcus is doing is illegal.they are double dipping into peoples checking account and not refunding some of the monies, this sounds like a scam to me. thank you for your immediate assistance to this matter.

Now 2016, NM still do the same way, I ordered online on Nov 25, 2016, process seem go well till two days later I got an email that I need to call them for a new payment process.

I called them and refused to add a new payment because I said I was being charged already on NOv 25 and my credit card approved the payment. NM refused to process my order and keep saying that they didn't have my payment info so they couldn't charged me.

But 3 days after, I was being charge again, with the same amount from NM on Nov 28! What the hell is that! NM said they couldn't charge because they didn't have my payment in their file but they be able to change me twice.

Now I have two pending charges on my card and I have to wait for NM to remove it. What a ridiculous online purchase from NM. This is my first and last experience!

It is 2015 and Neiman Marcus is still double charging! I purchased an item on 8/28. They put through a charge to my PayPal account and then put through a second charge for the same amount the following day. I noticed this on my statement. I called CS at NM and was advised that it is their practice to double charge for items with 2 day delivery and then I would be credited back in usually 3 business days but up to 10 depending on the creditor. How can it be legal to charge me double the amount that I authorize?

I have been a long time shopper with them for about a decade and never had this problem happen until this week! I called them and the first lady would explain the process and then i would say well you already shipped it, release the hold. This did not satisfy me so I asked to speak with a manager who was NOT polite at all; Twanya was her name. They refused to release the hold even though I have been a LONG LONG time shopper! So, I called my bank and my bank told me they indeed have two transactions coming through - one the total price, 2. one of the items that shipped and that 3. the other item that will be shipping is pending. I have never ever seen this happen on my bank account with any previous purchases online or in store with Neiman Marcus. I am extremely agitated and displeased with their "customer service assistants". My bank said that now I must file a dispute with the double billing since they did INDEED charge my items twice! BTW: SAKS FIFTH DOES NOT DO THIS or Nordstroms :) At least not yet

Its 2.5 years since your complaint, and by golly - they're still doing it. I also got double dipped - Neiman Marcus puts a pending hold on the amount of your order, then when they actually ship your order, they charge your card, then 3-5 days later, they send the release codes to your bank. What a load. I miss the good old days - before the skeevy slimeballs at Household Finance took over Neiman's credit side. The old Neiman Marcus never reported "slightly" late payments and were gentlemanly to deal with.

Neiman marcus catalogues continue to sell the stolen product designs from legacy trading company in dallas, texas. Owners kelly o'neal and rene gutierrez have stolen product designs (Pillows, furniture, decorative accessories) from many local artists, leaving them with hundreds of thousands of dollars in unpaid invoices for samples and merchandise. Neiman marcus's buyers have been notified of legacy's ongoing criminal activities many times (And supplied with documentation to prove what liars and thieves legacy theft company's owners are) , but they continue to promote the stolen designs in their catalogues and stores. Apparently, earning blood money is no different to them than selling honestly obtained merchandise. The product is so fragile and brittle, I broke the first spoon while washing it. It is total junk. I have called customer service several times, each time being promised a return shipping label at the company's expense. No email has been received and no shipping label has been received.
