When I purchased the policy, Nationwide assured me that claims are handled in a timely manner. I placed a claim 5 days ago and have called back repeatedly to request expedited service. On the occasions that my calls aren't dropped by Nationwide's sloppy IVR system, I reach an outsourced call center where reps can only take my information and pass it on to a claims supervisor who hasn't called back. I need service and persistently call the call center (7 times thus far) but the only outcome is that the call center's employees write another email to the individual(s) able to schedule service (this I can do as well.) Under no circumstance will the call center route the customer's call to a live claims supervisor. This company is a total rip off and consumers should be aware of its fraudulent business practice. I know I can get my pro-rated premium back - but I am out my paid premium and have a malfunctioning A/C that will be considered pre-existing condition by another insurance company.
