Nationwide Auto Insurance I want to talk with adjusters assigned to my claim as soon as possible and expedite the claim process.

I had a car accident on Sep 17 in Houston, Texas and started claim on Sep 18.

And then, nobody followed up my claim (case) since then. My damaged vehicle is still in auto storage, but nobody saw my vehicle for inspection so far. Nobody contact with me for my claim. I called, emailed the claim associates, adjusters assigned to my case, but nobody responds. I also called the insurance company, but they told me to wait.

Nationwide Auto Insurance Not on your side

I have had a Nationwide auto policy for about 2 years with no claims. This past February my husband was in an accident with injuries. He was rear-ended while sitting a traffic light--there for not his fault. The accident happened in NY which is a no fault state. Which just means medical expenses goes through your own insurance company. He has been seeing doctors after doctors, doing physical therapy and do ALL the doctors want and recommend. Nationwide is now trying to find ways not to pay his medical expenses. This insurance wasn't a handout, it is coverage that we have been paying for and they don't want to pay. It is bull crap...a scam...a rip off. How can they do this...

Nationwide is our insurance company and is sending him to one of there doctors. These doctors are hired by the insurance company and will tell them what they want to hear. Doing research on the doctor which brought up lots of complaints of how this DR said they were fine and there is nothing wrong (even with broken bones). They are sending him to basically have this DR. say this so they can stop all medical payment for his injuries. This is the same type of doctor for workmans comp and disability. We have 3 of our doctors say one thing and I know this one will disagree. Just so our insurance company doesn't have to pay out.

All Insurance Companies are horrible creatures, they only like any of Us when We come in to their offices to pay Our Insurance Bills & Doctors are the worst of the worst it does'nt matter who pays their bill for their services its all a big joke to them writing prescriptions that do nothing and sending Us to useless treatments for things like Physical Therapy so that others can make money for things that dont work as well.None of them give a crap about any of Us.Its All Just A Big Scam!

@HateNationWide: I have to apologize for commenting so late on this; I hope I am not too late to help you a bit, particularly with the IME (isn't it ironic that this is called an "Independant Medical Exam, " when the doctors are paid by your insurance company, which does NOT have your best interests in mind. In my case, the doctor didn't even speak English. I ### you not.) Brenda gave some stellar advice on quite a few of the legalities of your situation, although each case, of course, is different. The differences is exactly what the Insurers are going to focus on, so beware. Perhaps Brenda has a link or book suggestion that could help you more with the legalities; I am personally too close to the situation to see the actual laws on the books. I do highly suggest that you educate yourself as much as possible, either with the help of Brenda or an advocate group. Two things I will tell you: get an attorney, ASAP. Also, NEVER go into an IME without a court reportor, your attorney, or one of his paralegals- NEVER. I know quite a bit about this up, down, forwards and backwards because a couple of ears ago a woman flipped an SUV onto my car. I thought I was going to die. Every day since has been a day that I fight through pain. Point being- protect yourself. Injuries often appear or worsen weeks, months, or years down the road. If you would, by any chance, like to vent to someone who has been through it- hell and back- please feel free to PM me, and I'll return your PM right away. Hang Tight!

Newton what does that have to do with Nationwide Insurance? Since you seem to have way too much time on your hands why dont you do something useful with your time?Might I suggest that you go on change.org/petitions/create-caylees-law & sign that petition so that you can help to make it a felony for a parent or guardian not to notify law enforcement of a child gone missing within 24 hours. Then you can feel like you did something today that actually made some sense & could possibly help a child in the future.

Brenda, I'm with you on this one, What one has to do with the other is lost on me as well. If you have a Vehicle the Law requires you to have Insurance on that Vehicle if you are going to drive it, Register Or Plate it. I am unaware of any Laws requiring people to buy, own & use a Treadmill? Could it be we were all sent to the Twilight Zone as a joke?

This reminds me of the time I sent for a tradmill which should have cost me $120.00 including shipping with a 60 day money back return guarantee, minus shipping of course. When I received the tradmill I noticed that the price amount charged of the equipment was (supposedly) $25.00 and the shipping was $95.00 which meant that if I wanted to ship it back I had to pay for the shipping just to receive $25.00 (if I was lucky). The shipping that I had to pay would have been more than the $25.00 i could have received, so I ended selling the tradmill for $60.00. WOW, some people don't have a conscience.

HateNationwide, I have them for my Insurance to, Had a Problem with them not paying my Hospital Bill after they told me to go to the Hospital(Had no idea they had not paid the bill until I got hate mail from the Collection Agency & heres what I did- I Filed a complaint with the Insurance Commission (they are located in your States Capitol), they hate when those guys start investigating them!My Hospital Bill got paid. You may also think about hiring a Personal Injury Atty.? They get paid only after your claim is settled & can help you with the problems that your having with your Insurance Co.as well, Your husband may not have any choice but to see their Doctor however, would think you can always request a 2nd Opinion with a Doctor of your choice, Hope your husband is able to make a full recovery & you are able to resolve your issues with these guys.Nationwide should be able to get their money from your Medical Expenses back from the other drivers Insurance Co. & If not thats their problem.Good Luck.

Nationwide Auto Insurance Untimely policy cancellation

On 12/10/2010 I emailed Nationwide to cancel my auto insurance policy as I had sold my vehicle. On 12/13/2010 I called Nationwide to speak with a representative and was informed that the policy in question would be cancelled in 24 to 28 hours. That did not happen as today 12/17/2010, the premium was deducted from my checking account. I emailed Nationwide again today to protest and request a refund of the premium. This another example of Corporate greed as I am sure Nationwide delayed processing the policy cancellation in order to receive another months premium payment.

If such is the case, then why did ALL my bills get paid, except for the automatic withdrawal that was supposed to be taken out for insurance? And why wasn't I notified of cancellation ever, so i could do something about it? I have thrown more money at insurance companies and still am. And no matter what happens, they don't cover you when you need them. That's all of them. Look at their profits. They could afford to do better. Their prices, like everything else, always go up; but people's incomes are stagnant, if they have an income. People need their vehicles to get to work. And they have to have insurance. It shouldn't cost so much to drive.

I hate insurance companies as much as anyone, but you're rather ignorant as to how things like this work. If you have auto-deductions from a checking account or credit card, you should know that they contact the bank a week in advance to begin the process so that the payment is not delayed for the due date; you can't just up and cancel that process on a whim.

Add to that the fact that no insurance company can keep money from you that you did not use for coverage (you most likely received your refund, and then never posted about it) and it sounds like things worked the way they should...you just lack common sense. Now now now, me me me...we're becoming such a sad nation.

Nationwide Auto Insurance Anita Melendez insurance scam

An Ashland Oregon based criminal named Anita Melendez is instituting and insurance fraud scam with the help of friends in the Nationwide Portland office. The took me big time. She almost killed me when I opened my car door to an empty street and she came rushing around the corner and hit my door. Her friends paid her as they've done before and now I'm paying in higher insurance so that they can make a living doing this.

Nationwide Auto Insurance added drived to my policy at renewal time wouldnt remove them my rate tripled

I have had nationwide insurance for about 5 years now. Upon renewal this year they added on my two grown children who do not live with me or drive my car. Infact they have their own cars and their own insurance. This made my policy go up about 3 time amout I had been paying. They took off one of the drivers and I had to send a form to remove the 2nd drive. They would not adjust my payment and said they were insured. I paid the 1st month to get this taken care of in good faith. HOWEVER the new bill never came ! I have called and requested this numerous times and have been told it is coming. Billing is holding it up. The person who prepared my policy assured me that he was seeing in the system My payment would be about 166 amonth but I havent seen anything. 395 is what they sent with the 2nd driver still onthe policy. I tried to go on the website to deal with my account this way but I keep getting password not valid... password was supplied by Nationwide. Everytime I call I talk to a different person. They say they are going to call back and they dont they say would give me a fax no. that took 4 days to get ! I did have an accident but they say the rate raise was due to the other drivers. WHO STANDS UP FOR THE PEOPLE ? The state says its a law to have so they can charge whatever the heck they want ! WHO STANDS UP FOR THE PEOPLE ?

Nationwide is NOT on your side. We are still waiting for our claim to be fairly handled. We keep getting the run around. Please if any upper level manger from Nationwide who has good customer service would like to contact me regarding the horrible treatment we are dealing with and the fraudulent behavior that is happening as I am typing...you are welcome to do so. We just want to be made whole in this situation, nothing more, nothing less. Can you do that? So far I think not. We were offered 100 for diminished value for our vehicle that your client wrecked. The offer is insulting and fraudulent.

It took me 30 minutes not to renew my policy with them. Then they charged me next month like I still have insurance with them. Another 10-15 minutes lost to explain what happened.
Poor customer service.
