Mr. Cooper predatory practices

These creeps will do anything possible to "earn" extra fees or charge you more, or even take your home if they can. Of the 5 mortgage companies I';ve had, they are the only ones who charge you to make a payment-by-phone, even without speaking to a person. Then, even though your payment is not late until the 15th, they start calling on the 3rd, asking "where's your payment?" and implying that you are late, and will incur additional charges of an unspecified nature. Then, they are late sending out your monthky statements which does not allow you the time necessary to mail their payment back by the due date. Today is the 23rd, and I still have not received my statement. When I called to ask, i was put through the wringer ("that is not a valid selection, listen to the following options AGAIN!", "Your call is being recorded as this is an attempt to recover a debt" even though I am current and have never been late, "Please choose one of the following options": none of which are even close to why I'm calling) Then some guy on his cell phone while driving (you can hear the traffic going by, complete with sirens) wants my complete Social Security number "for verification purposes." This company is the WORST. TRuly gives life to the latin roots of MortGage. Mort for Death and Gage for Grip. Giving you DeathGrip. Yeah, I'll be super happy when I finally manage to pay off these vultures. You can bet I'll have to have ALL my statements going back to my original mortgage/lending agreement so I can PROVE that they get no more money and then I'll have to hire a lawyer to ensure that I recieve my deed in a timely manner without any spurious negative marks on my credit report. God I hate these bloodsucking vampires. I'd refi, but I only have 30 payments left, and chances are that I'd just get sold back to these idiots again. If you have a choice, RUN from these crackwipes. Make your bank sign a "will-not-sell-your-note-to-Nationstar' promise. We'd all be better off if Nationstar was Banned, outlawed, Bankrupted, Jailed, Hung, Scalded, Pillioried, , , Well, you get the picture. Hate 'em.

I am a totally blind individual and work for the VA here in Reno NV. I have been a customer with Nationstar Mortgage for over two years, and I have never missed a payment or have been late. My previous loan was with Bank of America before my note was obtained by Nationstar Mortgage. I started the refiance process in the first week of August 2012. My loan...

Mr. Cooper 3 years and still pending a loan modification

I have been working with my fiance after being divorced 3 years ago, to re-establish her mortgage. 3 years ago she initially sent her hardship letter into Aurora for a Loan modification. She then received a letter from nationstar stating they were now her lender. We then contacted then and resubmitted the paper work. We have been consistently contacting them, and have been working with our own real estate broker to assist with the process. They have requested taxes and pay stubs 5 times, stating never receiving the previous paperwork. We sent the info one more time at the end of Dec. 2012 and mentioned possibly doing a short sale. Keep in mind, no one from Nation star calls us regularly, and its usually us who has to initiate the call. Now, after making the short sale comment, we have received two follow-up calls, checking on the status. When we ask for the status of the loan modification we are told it is being reviewed and to check back weekly. This place is an absolute joke, and they best part is, they have been paying insurance and taxes for the last 3 years... We are reay to make a deal with them, but I am starting to think they have realized they dont really own the loan... What a mess!

I unwittingly signed up for the “trial period” for a loan modification with Nationstar. As I did not hear back from the agent named on the “offer” letter I began to research their program to see if I could find any information on their process. Low and behold….volumes of complaints on any type of related forum and complaint board. So I immediately just went back and made my regular payments. I denied their offer after finding out their tricks. (Remember…their “collectors” are not that bright). That made them hunt for anything they could to intimidate me. I have three fax numbers for them – bankruptcy [protected]), foreclosure specialist [protected]) and research [protected]). When I fax, I fax all of them. I reiterate everything that was discussed in conversation as well as any response to any letters they send. I went to pay and the rep would not take my payment, said that there was a demand letter – I have not received it (of course), but found out how much is due and when. I faxed the rep asking to fax me a copy asap – to all 3 fax numbers! After what I’ve read I will submit complaints to FTC in Texas, State Attorney General (for CA & TX) to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (I downloaded their listing so I can provide complain counts with my faxes), Texas Dept of Savings and Mortgage Lending, as well as a good number of the 488 state representatives. Here is where you can find that information. 1) http://www.sentate.gov/general/contact_information, 2) http://www.house.gov/representatives/ 3) http://tomas.loc.gov/home/state-ligistures.html 4) http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/ . Lawsuit: Triplett vs Nationstar Mortgage Settlement – google it to see if you can participate.

Get one of those online fax services so you can fax from your computer. Feel free to contact me – I’ve been researching and looking for more fax numbers – I’m making it a point to be heard! Good luck everyone.

I have also been waiting for 1 yr. to close on a HARP loan, Every 90 days they "start the process over" because they couldn't get the paperwork done in time. I was told it would take 30 to 60 days...My loan was sold the them about 2 yrs ago and I also cannot believe the poor service. I tried to get a HARP loan with another lender, but was told I have to many hits on my credit report from Nationstar and they can't figure out why. I know it's not in Nationstar's star best interest to let me get a better interest rate, so I know why they don't seem to want to close. Thanks so much for messing up my credit, Now I feel just like walking away from my home and buying a new one with a better interest rate.

Mr. Cooper refinance

Don't bother doing business with this company! I have been trying to get our loan refinanced now since March 2012 and still have not been able to close. They have everything they need but when I call for an update I get assigned to a new person. It has now been 9 months and we are paying at least an extra $200 per month. This company does not care about their customers and has no idea what customer service is. Very disappointed!

Mr. Cooper code to unlock the lockbox

My house was in forclosure, but I brought my account current on December 19, 2012 and I was given the code to unlock the lockbox on my house. On December 21, 2012 for some odd reason another lockbox was put on my house along with the windows boarded up and trash in the front yard. I have been calling Nationstar since December 23, 2012, leaving messages and faxing material for someone to contact me so I can get into my house. As of December 26, 2012, I have constantly calling to get the unlock code and either I am transfered or I am told they will call me back. The location of my house is 119 Towerview Street, Bastrop Texas 78602

Please someone HELP!

When a house is in foreclosure there is nothing you can do to stop the process. You can file an appeal but that only holds it off for about 30 days. You may have brought your account current and the debt owed up to date but that doesn't keep you in your home.

Mr. Cooper suspending payments

Aurora Bank is now Nationstar!
Nationstar randomly increased my monthly ARM payment with a letter dated several days after the due date of my December
payment. The letter states my ARM percentage hasn't changed. Payment options do not come close to what they claim I
should be paying on the same page of the letter. It also states the payment I made over the minimum interest payment
was suspended! The payment made was more than their suggested 30 year mortgage payment. I had identical problems
for months earlier this year while dealing with Aurora Bank. Same issues, same problem and same difficulties in contact.
I called the number on their letter and was greeted with a futile automation of press this or that in lieu of talking to a human being.
I finally got through somehow and was transferred to a live body. He put me on hold "for a couple of minutes" to review my
account. A loud, scratchy and irritating jingle of music insued with regular interuptions of "your business is important to us".
I realized that I hated this before. It was Aurora Bank's! 15 minutes later the call was dropped. The young man I started to talk to
didn't call me back even though their automation and he said it recognized my phone number and confirmed my home address,
who I was and the last 4 of my SSN. I asked the young man if they were a subsidiary or branch of Aurora Bank. He snipped "We are a different lender. Aurora Bank went out of business."

I got an auto- call from Nationstar just now for a customer review request. It aggravated but pleased me to flunk them on all
accounts of the survey. Tommorow I will try to fish through to a real person and try to resolve their issues of seperate data
bases that control different realities of my mortgage and payment due.

Mr. Cooper outsourcing phone calls

Nationstar mortgage has been driving me crazy with phone calls from india. I answered the first one and could not understand him of course and then there was a bad connection. I told him I could not understand a word he said and hung up. The phone calls have increased daily since then. I even complained to the vice president of the company, personally and they are still coming in. I just don't answer them. We tried to refinance and they didn't give us a good rate, plus they wanted us to start over with a 30 year program paying them more interest! Don't think so.
I hate companies that use india for anything and I voice my complaints to anyone and everyone about it!

Mr. Cooper loan modification

I had previously been with Aurora Loan Services and had been trying to get a loan modification through them for almost 3 years! What a fiasco! On July 23rd I received a letter from Nationstar Mortgage telling me that they are now my loan servicer. Aurora should have, by law, sent me a notification at least 15 days before the transfer but did not. Nationstar should have notified me 15 days after the transfer, they did not! I went through Hope Now (HAMP) to start a new loan modification application. That was on August 20, 2012. I am a 100% Disabled Veteran and receive disability benefits. I do not work, cannot work and therefore do not file income tax returns as I have no other source of income. Nationstar has requested the IRS form 4506-T at least 10 times in 3 months time. Each time they tell me they need it filled out differently! There are only 5 different ways to fill out this form! They also continually ask me for my last two paycheck stubs and my most recent tax return. I got so frustrated with them that I call the IRS. The lady I spoke with said she would write them a letter stating they have no record of a 1040, 1040A or a 1040EZ on my social security number and to consider the letter verification of non-filing. She faxed me a copy and I immediately faxed it to Nationstar. That was October 30 and they have asked for the IRS form 4506-T 3 times since then.
I realize they can ask for any information they need for the loan modification process but this is getting close to grounds for discrimination. They have never asked for any other paperwork more than the first time except for an updated bank statement.
As I am on a fixed income, I do not have the finances to sue Nationstar but I would hope that an attorney would read my complaint along with all the others and help us do something about Nationstar and all the other shysters like them!

We moved into our house in 2007. I was game-fully employed and ended up being laid off. During that time Citi sold our mortgage to Nationstar (which is wrong but legal) right after the big bailout. We had fallen behind a lot but like many others reached out to Nationstar for assistance. The amount that was selected for our trial basis for the loan Mod was $1000.00 less than what we could hardly afford to pay already, so I reached out to Nationstar again. For the last 1 1/2 years we have filled out the same paperwork more than enough times and we still get the same robo-calls with no results. This has cause serious issues in the marriage and the home. I am really pissed because the so-called Obama programs are lotteries and NOT everyone gets help. Nationstar (like the recording says) act more like a debt collector rather then a mortgage company. I have spoken to at least 10 or more different people and NOT one of them has stated anything to make me feel as though we are going to get any help keeping our home. BE AWARE THAT THEY HAVE LAW TEAMS AND LAWS THAT PROTECT THIS KIND OF PRACTICE. ALSO KNOW WHEN YOU FILL & RE-FILL OUT THE PAPERWORK AND SEND IT IN...IT GOES IN A PILE AND IS NOT PROCESSED FOR REAL!

I have done my research and found this out. Since our GOVERNMENT does NOT feel it is important to hold companies like this responsible for the bogus practices I think a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT SEEMS LIKE THE BEST REMEDY!

I am with you all 1000%...let's go ahead with the class action suit ! we are all over the country and have gone through the same deceptive practices that Nationstar has been doing for years, why are we allowing them to get away with it? Was it our fault that our mortgages were sold to them? NO! In Oct 2009 we applied for a loan modification with Citi, then Nov 2009, we received a letter stating that our mortgage was now with Nationstar, we then went ahead and completed a loan modification application withe them the same month. After sending us a long list of docs needed which we sent, in Dec 2009 my hubby got laid off and they told us we can't get a loan modification but we can applied for thee HAMP program. This we didn't get approved for until Mar 2011 ! My hubby had to take money from his 401K, along withe the unemployment money to pay our mortgage from Jan 2010 - Mar 2011. So after the approval for the HAMP, they reduced it by $1100 for 6 months, after that they sent a letter demanding the difference in the 7th month. My hubby by then got a job but his salary was cut by 40%! So we asked for refinance and/or modification, they said we couldn't refinance due to so much crap -DTI! However we went for modification again, since he now had a job and they stated nothing could have been done without stable income. WELLLLLL...that was a lie because it is now Oct 2012 and we have sent in every docs that they requested even though they keep on saying they didn't get the docs, we keep sending and sending...now we decided to stop making the mortgage pymt because we just can't afford with 2 kids in college, we had to take 1 out and put her in community college and it has just been very hard, barely making ends met living from paycheck to paycheck. When we filed our tax return we owe IRS a whopping $7000 for taking $$ out of the 401K and now they refuse to modify the mortgage, the house is "under water/upside down" by over $90K and they filed a complaint to foreclose. We responded to that complaint listing all the issues, calls, correspondence in chronological order to the court, now when they got our response to the complaint they decided that "OH, we can modify it for $500 less" however only for 3 months after that we don't know if the figure will stay the same! Really? We said a BIG NO! to that! So now, we are waiting patiently on that foreclosure letter but in the meanwhile I had someone call the lawyer firm they used to send us the complaint, they asked the lawyer firm what is the status on our property and they answered "nothing", there is nothing pending and no date for anything to be filed! we were like "WOW" because we did our homework and responded to their complaint now they have put our file aside because the law states that if clients have applied for a modification or refinance, they CANNOT refer us to foreclosure. You see, you have to do your homework, check on the Internet, read all the issues regarding these banks and their deceptive practices. Ensure that you are informed and know your rights! So know they have these ROBOCALLs and their foreclosure specialist calling daily but guess what I don't even respond because we are waiting for our day in court. We have all our docs, notes etc ready and waiting for them. Do you know the court can sanction them to modify the mortgage? Yes, they can because they have put us off for so long with no reason but keep on requesting the same docs over and over! It is stressful but we have not sent them a dime and we are waiting patiently so even if they get this property back they CANNOT sell it for what is owed, so you would think the dummies would just modify the mortgage and work withe us.. oh no! They are rude, dishonest, deceptive and are downright predatory lenders or should I say servicer! They will get what's coming to them as God don't like ugly!

I am with oyu on that Class Action LawSuite. I can't stand this company. After going through with our modification I lost my job and Citi handed my mortgage to Nationstar. After asking for help and none we fell behind. We faced foreclosure and actually paid it up. We got word from their attornies that we overpaid attorny fees by 390.00 and should get a check from nationstar. the only thing we got from them was a bill for 1200.00 stating that was for attorny fees. Because of the 1200.00 we could not send in the monthly note becasue if it is not the total amount they were not to take a partial payment. Now we are facing forclosure again and they do not want to help. This company is not about helping people. So I say lets SUE them.

Mr. Cooper short sale screw

After 5 months we are exhausted. A family of 5 living in a one bedroom apartment with an empty house waiting but nationstar won't let us have it. We were told short sales are anything but short so we knew it would take some time. After multiple attempts to reach out to ceos, cfos.. Agents etc we have no response. We fell in love with a house that was listed and in short sale with nationstar. We put in a bid, submitted financials, did inspections, surveys and everything they asked us to do. It seemed as if it would move along. Putting down more than half of the asking price.. More than qualified. The week of thanksgiving they decide to ask for 5000.00 more from us after already accepting our original offer. The original owners moved out and there it sits. Our home. Empty. While we sit in a one bedroom 2 towns away. I am devastated by this bank. Banks complain that they are under water with all the foreclosure on their desks and here we are.. Qualified while our empty house sits.. No one has answered our emails it's like they don't care if it goes into foreclosure.. How is it legal for them to ask for more money after 5 months. Do we have any rights.. Is it air that they have an empty home and want to break a deal over 5000.00? Why won't anyone help us? Why doesn't anyone answer our emails our phone calls? Shame on nationstar for ruining our life and leaving me with 3 small children in an apartment while our home sits empty. They were supposed to clean up the foreclosure mess.. Instead they are part of the mess. We are devastated.

Mr. Cooper not paying accounts

Nationstar Mortgage bought out our mortgage last Spring. Since this is our first home, we didn't think anything was wrong until the end of summer when we got a cancellation notice from our Home Owners Insurance provider. Called Nationstar, and like everyone else's complaints, went through all the hoops, hang ups and holds to get to the right dept. Of course Nationstar did not take any of the blame for not paying the on the policy, in fact, i had to fax them a copy of our policy, then call them back a few days later to make sure they got it. Fast forward to mid-Oct. when I got a statement for our property taxes. Same thing happened, Nationstar hasn't made any payments for 2012. Since I am homesteaded, payments should have all been paid up by July 2012. Of course, they are not responsible because they have no paperwork. HUH? But, oh, we will look into it with your county, ASAP! Call us back to follow up in 10 working days. So I did, and guess what? No notes on our account to the previous matter. They are a bunch of bold face liars! Where do they get these people at, or how much do they train them or want them to know? Again, I have to fax over proof that they have to still pay my taxes...gets better..I have a fixed loan but now have received a statement stating that my mortgage has going up in Dec. and the reason they tell me is because my taxes and homeowners insurance has gone up. Funny people, because I just received a check from Nationstar for overpayment in 2012 because my taxes and insurance were lower than first recorded! ARGHHHH! Get your head out of your ###!

Mr. Cooper fraud goes ignored

In 2004 my spouse died. In 2005 a guy named Daniel Darling claimed he was married to me and took out a 75, 000.00 mortgage on my paid off home. How he did it, no one knows. What is known is my brother had an irrevocable power of attorney, after 33 years of marraige and spouses sudden death I knew I needed someone to watch out until I got my head screwed on right. Despite ALL EVIDENCE sent to Nationstar they refuse to even track down this guy and I'm left with a mortgage I could never pay. I hired a private investigator who tracked this guy down. STILL nationstar refuses to go after this guy Daniel E. Darling yes his real name! No lawyer wants to take it on! ..Sound fishy? Because it is!

Mr. Cooper poor consumer practices

I have a mortgage payment due by Nov 1 and late by Nov 11th. On Nove 8, 2012 I received a phone call from Nationstar Collections informing me that my payment was late and must be paid immediately. It, of course, was not late. I requested to speak to a manager to register a complaint - I was put on hold and then they hung up. This is not the first time I have had to deal with Nationstar. It is difficult to not only get someone with authority, but to get courteous service. I also called back to still register a complaint and was greeted first with a statement that my payment was late and subject to penalties. I would very much like to make this complaint meaningful and would dearly like to change mortgage companies. Sharon Abilovitz, [protected].

I will make this short. Nationstar is just taking your money and your home from you point blank. I had all my paperwork of payments, insurance, and taxes to prove they where wrong. I contacted lawyers and it would cost more to fight than what it was worth. Don't sign any paper work they send you, it's a TRAP, YOU WILL LOSE YOUR RIGHTS. No need to talk to them about anything you are wasting your time and energy as I did for over a year. They doubled our fixed payment also, we paid till we had little to eat. We sold what we could to pay the payment till we had nothing much left. Then we just stopped paying. Four months later we filed bankruptcy May 2012 and gave Nationstar our home. Our home is being auctioned Nov 13, 2012. We can still live there until we receive a court order to vacate (72 hrs) We lived there for about 10 months so far for free, saved every penny we could. We have a bankruptcy but not a foreclosure on us. We have some money plus the house is worth a lot less then the amount we owed. Yep we are renting, not much difference than Nationstar just a shorter contract and you know up front your home is not yours.

Mr. Cooper overcharging

My loan was sold from Aurora Bank to Nationstar Mortgage as of July 1, 2012. When I received my first bill from Nationstar, is was for about $700 more than I was paying Aurora. I called to find out why (several transfers) and was told it was because I did not have home owner's insurance. I assured them that I did, and they asked to have my insurance company provide evidence of the insurance, which they did. The following month, the same $700 was on my invoice. I called again and was told it was because I did not have insurance. We went through the same routine of providing evidence of the insurance. I called to make sure they received the documentation and that I would not be charged an additional amount for something I already paid for. They told me they never received the documentation (I knew they were wrong, as I have had the same insurance agent at State Farm for over 20 years).

At this point, I insisted on a conference call between Nationstar and my insurance provider. Contact information was exchanged, evidence of my insurance was faxed in and the proof of the fax was sent to me. Nationstar never acknowledged receiving it. Instead, they paid Statefarm an addional 12 months on my premium and told me I owed them this money. I had no problem with and sent them the check for my annual premium of $1, 703. In spite of all this (now no fewer than 10 phone calls, each lasting 30-60 minutes), they would not acknowledge that I was insured and continued to bill me the extra amount.

In frustration, I would only pay the priniciple and interest that I was supposed to pay. As a result, these people had the gall to notify the credit agencies that I am late in my payments. I spent nearly two hours on the phone with them yesterday, insisting that they remove the additional escrow fee, acknowledging that I am insured and that they notify the credit agencies that I have never been late. They said they would put in my request and that it would take seven business days to get a response.

This company should be sued. My credit is being compromised because of their incompetence. The company refuses to do anything to correct their errors and I am the victim of their arrogance.

Bank of America sold my mortgage to Nationstar in April 2015. I was with Bank of America for 5 years, and never had a problem, but ever since it was sold to Nationstar, there has continued to be one problem after another. I have been charged all kinds of fees, even late fees when I paid on time! I have made payments that they claim I didn't make when I have bank statements that show proof that I did pay. I have continued to contact Nation Star. I keep getting the run around--left on hold, hung up on, lied to, made promises that are never kept, such as saying the fees will be reversed, payments checked in to, but never are, and I have called several times and asked to be sent print outs; they always say they will send them, but never do. Frustrated! Hate BOA sold my mortgage to Nationstar!

It is obvious Nationstar is a scam mortgage company who needs to be stopped. We hired an attorney who is very familiar with them. After only one threatening letter to them they corrected are account and things are cleared up. We are waiting to see if they post anything on our credit profile then we will sue for damages. We have put this lender on notice and will spend whatever necessary to prevent them from continuing to scam people. Email me at aglroof@gmail.com if you want the name of our attorney. It worked for us.

NationStar is a deceptive lender. They are trying to force impound and insurance on us that we have had on our home for over 18 years. They bought the loan from Cashcall and we believe they are in it together for financial gain. We have retained an attorney and are suing for damages. They need to be taught a lesson. We plan to notify all media outlets and hopefully someone will do a report on them.

I know what you are going through with Nationstar Mortgage. For 6 months I tried to get accurate statements for my HELOC, but it was to no avail. Since the Customer Reps would not / could not help, in frustration I computed the pay-off balance and fully paid the note.
After paying off the note Nationstar Mortgage had the gall to tell me that I could not have the original paid-off note returned to me. I was told that the original was required for audit purposes and copies of the original note would be returned. Nonsense! Upon my insistence the originals were returned to me. It does little good to complain to the Dallas BBB. Complaints are likely to be more effective if they are directed to the appropriate state and federal agencies.

Mr. Cooper lost check

We had been with Citibank for over 10 years making our mortgage payments on time with two check. One from myself and one from my wife for the total amount of the mortgage. We were always on time and never late. Citibank sold the mortgage to Nationstar and all was ok until a letter was sent to us stating that Nationstar had received only one check, my check and that my wife's check was missing. We received the letter saying that if they don't receive another check, foreclosure proceedings will begin as well as "enhanced payments". The amount was $2, 913.36 . We received this letter in July. The lost check was for the March payment. Had they notified us of this error on their part in April, we would have made good on that check and put a hold on the lost check. Instead, they waited 4 months so they could add up the fees and other charges. We immediately made good the check and the representative said she would look into the matter. WE couldn't get back in touch with that representative (Trina). We called doxens of times and nobody knew a thing about our situation. After 4 more months of getting no answers, no help from a single person and another threatening letter, I wrote a letter describing the frustration with this company and telling them that their lack of help and transparency had led us to conclude that they lost that check on purpose so as to collect illegal fees. I cc'ed the President of the company Andrew and the Chairman of the Board Wesly Edens to no avail. We've tried to talk with a human being to settle this matter, but no one talks in that company. I think these people are crooks and are attempting to steal not only our money but our homes as well.
The only solution to fighting this fraudulent company is to file a class action suit. If anyone has an idea how to begin...please post it. We can't give in to crooks. This is still America, I think.

You should be balancing your checkbook every month, and when your balance is 2k higher- you didn't just find money, someone somewhere made a mistake... Now it is October, 3 months after the letter and 7 months after the missed payment and you are still emailing? Your best idea is filing a class action lawsuit? And posting a complaint? (Oh that will work... ) Was your second check cashed? Who cashed it? Of course this is America, and everyone knows that the banking industry owns the government. Did you expect something to be different?

Mr. Cooper stay away from these crooks

I was gong through my mortgage bill recently and found the was a charge on the bill for Property Inspections. It wasn’t for a lot of money, only $27, so I called them and asked them why this was on the bill, they said “It was a legal charge they put on my bill for having someone drive by my home to make sure if we are still living here. They said they do it for people who get behind on their mortgage to make sure they are still living there and it was in our contract. My mortgage was recently sold to Nationstar Mortgage from Aurora Mortgage and that has never been done before and I lived at this property since 8/1997. I said it was not part of my contract and they said it was and the only way they can dispute this is by a hand written letter sent to their company to check into it. First of all, how do I know that anybody drove by my house ever, secondly isn’t that a violation of my privacy rights not to mention wire fraud? Can you please look into this for me? Thank you very much.

I tried to call them just yesterday about this crazy inspection fee but all I could get was an automated message which of course would not explain what this fee was for. I had to fill out one of their 'contact forms' to ask what is was and for them to send me proof of this fee in my contract. (My loan was also bought by this terrible company as well). I did tell them that I cant wait to get my home sold so I can get rid of this terrible mortgage company. I've never had such terrible customer service in all my life! I am NEVER, yes NEVER late on my house payment as I want to keep my credit report clean!
DO NOT USE THIS MORTGAGE COMPANY !

My mortgage was just bought by nationstar and I too have noticed a bill for 12 dollars for property inspections which in 3 years I never paid to my other servicer, they told me it was because their investors request it and that I am obligated to pay this thru my contract. what a rip off

I, too have a property inspection fee of $39 and Nationstar also told me that this is a monthly fee they charge each time I get behind with my mortgage. I also want to know if this is a legitimate fee that they can charge. Another question, does someone actually drive each month to check on my property? I highly doubt it. Yet, they say that someone does and they also have the right to charge me this fee. I understand them charging me a late fee, but a property inspection fee as well?

my wife passed away over 3 years ago and her daughter agreed to live in the home and make payments, I found out she was over 1 year past due on the mortgage by browsing the net. (the company never notified me, even though they knew where I lived) The loan has supposedly been in foreclosure since Jan 2011. I and my attorney have asked them to close out the loan, as I am disabled and cannot take care of the property, and move on but they will not.

Mr. Cooper thieves and liars

Nationstar mortgage bought a Mortgage company that we had previously and as soon as they bought it
we start getting calls about late payments and so forth we are used to pay our real state taxes to the city of Philadelphia directly and also the Home insurance, all of a sudden we start paying scrow for the insurance even thou i had insurance and also paid in full, but that was not enough for the thieves every year they try to get money for my real state taxes even thou I had already paid and always had to send proof of payment couple months later they call again everymonth before the payment is due some of their many Ignorant and rude employee would call harassing about the payment, you call and try to get answer and you are treated like trash, no one knows about this or that I think the CEO and all thee board of directors are busy figuring out how can they deceive people a little more
so they steal more money, people should shop and check other Mortgages companies there so many around with this many negative reviews Nationstar should be investigated by the federal government and boy just wonder what they can find.
after getting tired of listening to their name and their rude employees i decided to refinace thru an other company that is giving me a good service on another property, the Company sent then the payoff and NATIONSTAR do not honor because i owe then over 3 thousand of Real State taxes how can that be if i always pay it myself i called the Scrow department and after 4 people I got one person she could not explain what the escrow shortage was for but she thinks it is taxes for the city of Phila she said may be they paid after i paid but i have no notice of such a thing since i can not argue I said send me proof that you paid and i will pay you and go against the city NATIONSTAR IS NO GOOD CROOKED THIEVES I NEVER KNEW WHAT HATE MEANS UNTILL I GOT NATIONSTAR FOR A MORTGAGE CO>

Mr. Cooper unusual business practices

For my own convenience, i've been paying my mortgage on a quarterly basis. Each check I send in says "payment only - not for principal". For the past two and a half to three years they apply two of these payments to my principal, then send me nasty letters saying I am in default and sending information to experian, equifax and trans union that i've been late multiple times over the past three years.in fact, i've never been late on my mortgage. I'm exhausted with the repetitive phone calls to these people on a monthly basis and end up angry and speaking with them for hours about my situation. They are ruining my credit and I don't know what to do about it. Is there a law out there to protect me from these unethical practices on the part of this mortgage company?. Their reports to the credit agencies have kept me from getting a new home loan just this month (Aug 12). My next payment is not due until oct 1st of this year and I just got a nastygram from them saying "again" I am two months past due. They will always confirm "verbally" that I am not late and that nothing is due until oct 1, 2012, but yet send these nasty grams to me (Got it today 8-30-12) saying I am two months late with my payment. This has been a nightmare and I don't know what else to do but seek some legal counsel, and not sure if they've even broken any laws where i'm concerned. Please help! If anyone out there has any advice that would help in dealing with these, please send me an email to: [protected]@comcast.net. Thanks so much.

Well, it is now January 15, 2013 and Nation Star has not located my July 1, 2012 payment. I have called every single week for the last 6 months to follow up on this and feel like I am getting closer to resolving this issue. If I could only get through their customer service department and talk to someone in research I think that would help. Every week they request something new. Once I submit the new request for proof of payment, they request something again that was submitted 2 months ago. Grrrr! This has become so frustrating - not only to me but my bank as well because they have to continue sending the same document over and over again. They have received the money but can't find it on their end even with all the transaction confirmation numbers. WOW!

Be sure that you contact nationstar customer service at [protected] to advice them that you would like your additional payments to be applied to future payments by setting up a research request to put a special coding on your account. Doing this will assure that your money gets applied correctly as you intend it to be in the future.

Our mortgage was bought by Nation Star July 1st. I have made two payments - one on July 3rd and the second on August 1st. Neither of which have been posted to our account. They can't find the payments! It has been a nightmare to get them to resolve this issue. Looking to find a way to get our mortgage away from them. Don't trust them with my money!
